They deserve this rating and some. Excellent customer service very nice and educated team I had to help with my move. I would recommend for anyone and will reach out again for a future move. read more

We had a great experience with Poseidon Moving in our recent move within the Boston area. The only hiccup we had was that we had been told we would have three movers, and the crew was only two people. Our move was a 1-bedroom's worth of furniture, and involved some tight elevators. The two movers got it done in the original quoted amount, so it didn't affect our total cost or experience. They were extremely professional and communicative, and handled all of our furniture with care and efficiency. Overall a great experience and would recommend. read more

Wow, just wow. The most amazing service I've ever gotten. I have Ikea furniture and everyone knows that Ikea furniture does not hold in being transported. But nothing was scratched! Nothing broken at all. I am completely amazed. Oleg was there on time, ready and enthusiastic to get started. He made sure to take extra good care of things I was most worried about. Most of my things were made of plywood and acrylic and everything was completely intact when it arrived. No words can explain how great the service was. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family. read more

The company gave me the lowest price for a small 1BR apartment move after getting quotes from multiple companies which did NYC to Boston moves. The movers themselves were polite and efficient. The agent who was organizing the move was quick to respond and flexible about small adjustments to the inventory list as well as changing the move-in date. You should know that if you move your stuff into storage as I did, then it seems like you have to get it delivered during an 8am-12pm window, so you should plan your move accordingly. Further, this reflects my own inexperience (I had never hired movers before), but I was unaware about the importance of getting parking permits. It would have been nice if the company had communicated this to me when setting up the move or in some informational checklist of things people generally need to do. When I was moving out of NYC, thankfully there was space across the street for the movers to legally park because police stopped by just 5 minutes after they arrived, and they were ticketing anyone who was double parked. Because they had to park across the street, I got a small surcharge. So you should make sure to look up parking permits for moving trucks well in advance! read more

We have used Poseidon several times, and this last move was no different than before. Absolutely first rate!! Everything was prepared for the move so that nothing would break, be scratched or damaged in any way. The movers were careful, experienced and efficient. Great all around! Also, the communication befehand was very helpful cordial and professional. Highly recommend Poseidon moving company!!! read more

(Moving Service date: 07/12/2018) I chose this moving service because I read all the raving reviews on Yelp. Maybe it was my bad luck but I unfortunately had a horrible experience. Everything was going very well (they packed up all the furniture thoroughly and loaded up the truck with 0 problems) until the movers were trying to get my furniture into my new apartment. A couple of my wooden furniture got scratches on them (which is honestly expected so this wasn't a big deal) however the movers were rushing trying to get my couch into my apartment and they ended up taring the front, the back and the side of my couch. They only gave me a $100 inconvenience fee but the couch was worth way more. They were incredibly defensive when I started to complain that this was unacceptable however I sent them along because they weren't trying to make anything right. They also never reached back out to me after I complained. I would highly recommend not using them however if you do, to tell them to not rush and take the door off before trying shove furniture in that will clearly not fit. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Two movers spend entire 5 hours to move one bedroom, and two places just 15 min drive from each other. They are polite all the time, but waaaay toooo sloooow! Can you imagine I spend 700 on one single moving? I can't believe it so I made a phone call to complain. They promised me that they can return 100 dollars to make it up, BUT I got NOTHING at all. Do not trust them. There are much more better moving companies in Boston. They are the first on Yelp doesn't mean they are the best choice for you. ( of course, if you are rich enough, ignore what I just said) read more

Last WE we did a complex local move with Poseidon: packing one day, a 2 stop move the next. Our crew was great! Thank you Emmett, Efim, Kosta and Abraham! These guys were on time, fun to work with, careful, and troopers! Emmett ran a tight crew and everything was accomplished on Day 2 in one day! (2 stops etc finished at 10pm). Alex and Oleg (owners?) were also responsive and very helpful. Thank you Poseidon... read more

Moved today and the Poseidon team did a great job. Definitely using them for our next move.

I am so disappointed with this company in Boston. I have used them before from California to Boston. And the California employee were awesome and did exactly what they said they will do. The Boston employee did me wrong with telling me that my stuff will get to me in the dateline we agree on. They picked up my stuff 3 weeks ago and now told me it won't be deliver until the 3rd week of January. I found out today that my belongings are still in Boston. That is seven weeks altogether waiting for my stuff. I would not have agree to this timeline had I know. I am not sure whats going on, no one gives me a reason why it is still in the warehouse in Boston. If it is Weather , at least let me know. They told me they email me two weeks ago and I kept checking my emal everyday and saw nothing. Even juck mail. I am so dissapointed with this company in Boston and I am still praying that my stuff gets to me. It scares and worries me at this point. I hope and pray that my stuff are not stolen and I did not used a scam company in Boston etc... I hope someone higher up calls me because I am on the edge of filing a police report. My whole life is in that truck. Since they picked up my stuff in Boston, no one contacts me at all. I have to call and they keep saying this person will call me or contact me. He just did today to tell me it hasn't left Boston yet. I could have prepared better or choose another company to accomodate when I head back to work. Now I have to buy a whole set of work stuff because we agreed on a timeline they did not keep. At least give me a reason why it did not leave the warehouse in Boston yet. I pray to God it gets here this month. So disappointed. read more

Really great moving company very reasonable rates, punctual, and polite. Would definitely recommend.

Hired them for a home move. Slava was the foreman on the job. Very professional and fast and took care to wrap and protect my furniture. This was the second time I used them for a home move and would definitely use them again in the future. They also took the job on short notice which was a huge help. read more

This company GHOSTED my parents the day of their move, Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. We confirmed the move weeks in advance and on the day of the schedule move, we got a call that the truck was stuck in a weigh station and they would get back to us when they knew when to truck was on the way. ITS 4 DAYS LATER AND THEY NEVER CALLED. Specifically Isabella, the account manager and Jay the dispatcher never answered our calls ans just didn't care. ISABELLA SCAMMED US FROM THE JUMP OFF. She is a horrible employee, person, and liar. Left us hanging and unable to make any alternative plans because after leaving over 20 voicemails, no one ever called us back. The SOBs left my older parents high and dry on a holiday weekend on 5/30, when they needed to be out of their rental by 6/1. These people are scammers who cannot be trusted. Actually the worst company I was ever encountered in my life. Not only are they incompetent, but they are horrible, malicious people. SHAME ON YOU POSEIDON. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. I'm filing a complaint with the department on transportation, as its now my full time mission to make sure these people are exposed for the criminals they are. The movers who ended up bailing us out were phenomenal. Call Tri state, one rate movers instead of these sh*theads. read more

Ky & his crew were amazing. Punctual, careful, friendly, and they had moving down to a science. Highly recommend Poseidon for moving and storage, especially as a college student. Both admin and the moving teams were friendly and professional. All my items were returned in perfect condition and the moves themselves were very quickly executed despite not having an elevator and the weather being very hot. read more

The company was very professional. They were good to communicate and remind me through email of the move date and the timeframe to expect their arrival. Oleg and his staff were incredible. Efficient, friendly, and clearly trying to do a good job and not just get in and out. The price was similar to other options but availability and communication were superior to other moving experiences we've had. We've used Poseidon twice now and have been very impressed. Their online booking and communication before the move was excellent, the foreman for the move was very accommodating and the entire team was great on move day. Everyone was friendly, asked questions and were eager to follow our instructions on where to put our things, etc. Nothing was damaged and the overall experience was top notch. We'll be using them again soon when our new home is ready! read more

I booked my move from Boston to Florida after reading positive reviews from earlier this year. Something must have happened with this company recently because my move experience was the WORST I've ever had. My stuff was picked up on time in Boston but then delivered one week after the promised window. What's worse is the fact that the company completely ignored my calls and emails for about about 5 days. I was about to report my items as stolen to the police because no one at this company picked up the phone or answered the phone to provide an update. I must have called at least 10 times. Don't be mislead by the relatively lower rates this company offers! They are super sketchy, don't be fooled here by the older reviews. I would give negative stars if I could. read more

Let's be honest, moving sucks, especially moving in a city. This fact (along with cheap rent) kept me in my old Brighton apartment for five years. So when I decided to move this year to my new Brighton apartment, I decided to adult up and hire movers. Hiring Poseidon Moving was one of the BEST decisions I have made. The reservation process was easy enough online, and I finished with a call to their office. On the day of my move, Poseidon contacted me at the beginning of my moving window time and gave me an estimate of when then would arrive. True to their word, they were on time. They made quick work of moving my stuff (lots of heavy boxes of books and from a third floor walk up to a third floor walk up), wrapped up my mattress, box springs, and crappy dresser, in protective plastic coating, and we were on our way. The move in was just as simple. Nothing was damaged, the move was simple, and the final price paid was not only reasonable for a peak August 31st move, but came in under the quoted price. For a Boston area move, I highly recommend Poseidon Movers. Oh, and they gave me a free T-shirt! read more

I repeat, do not use this company. They responded to my previous 1 star review 11 months after it was written. They stated they thought it was taken care of in their response and that they had tried to reach out directly but that is a lie. They have never reached out to me. If they had, I would have asked for the job to be fixed. When the incident occurred, I left numerous messages, was told I would be getting a call from Alex, a manger and never heard back. Poor attempt at recovery on Yelp to say the least read more

Take bit longer than expected but with the bad traffic and moving to the 3rd floor of my new apartment.. Nice job!

Poseidon was fantastic to work with - start to finish. Oleg set us up to make sure we were all settled at each step of the way. They were extremely flexible, especially since we didn't have firm details upfront. Even with late changes to our schedule, Oleg was extremely accommodating. We moved from Boston to Washington DC. On the day of the move, Peter and Slava were fantastic - extremely professional. Our place in Boston was a huge pain to move out of (very tight hallways, fourth floor) but I never heard a complaint. They did a fantastic job and were very careful with all of our furniture. I highly recommend Poseidon. Very well-priced, professional service. read more

My boyfriend and I recently worked with Poseidon Moving for a tricky move. When looking for a moving company, I knew I wanted a company based out of the Brookline/Allston area, just for logistical reasons. Poseidon had great reviews and they responded very quickly to my quote request with competitive pricing. I say the move was tricky, because we checked off many of the boxes for complexity: 1) We needed to move to our new local location on September 1. And anyone who lives in the Boston area knows that's the absolute worst day to move in this area, with about 75% of leases turning over on that day. 2) My boyfriend's lease ended Aug 14, so we needed to have the company pick his things up and store them for 2 weeks. 3) Then of course on Sept 1, they needed to get everything out of storage, drop by my place to pick up my items, and finally drop everything off at the final location. Working with Poseidon was incredibly easy. They absolutely understood what I was asking for, and they set up all the details. I loved their website, which allows you to view your full reservation details, including the quote, addresses, pickup times, and item inventory. From the site I could see that they had properly set it up as a 2 part move, which made it much easier for me to keep track of what to expect and when I needed to make payments. For the first part of the move in August, the company confirmed the move with me the day before, and the 2 movers were absolute troopers. The loading dock for the building was on the far opposite side of the building (easily an 8 minute walk each way when you're not carrying furniture), and they moved quickly. Also, the foreman, Alex, was innovative in using our discarded blankets and boxes to protect glass furniture parts to avoid having to pay extra for their packing supplies (besides tape of course). They were done in 3 hours including travel time and time to load things into storage. For the second part of the on Sept 1, I gave the company a call in the morning to check on the confirmation, and they said that they may be able to come a little earlier than expected, which I was very happy to hear, because I was scheduled for a 3pm start time. They gave me a call to confirm the start of the clock when loading the truck from storage, and they called again when they were 15 minutes away from my place. Again, the movers were amazing. THEY CLEARED OUT MY APARTMENT IN 30 MINUTES! All in all, the full move only took an astounding 4 hours including travel, which was 1.5 hours less than the quote. I guess it helped that I had organized all of my items, cleared pathways, and reserved a spot for the truck right outside the front door, because time was literally lots of money. I would only complain about the deposit policy/ misinterpretation of the policy. For me to book for Sept 1, I had to leave a deposit by credit card for half the quoted amount for that day. They have a 5% discount if you pay cash or a 3% fee if you pay by card. I thought the deposit on the card would be reversed and I would pay the Sept 1 all by cash to get the 5% discount. That didn't happen because I had paid in part by card, even though I could not complete the booking without paying the deposit by card. At least I didn't have to pay the 3% fee for paying by card, and with them finishing in less time than quoted I saved money overall. All in all though, I was very satisfied with Poseidon Moving and I have been recommending them to my coworkers and friends :) read more

Worst movers ever. We stored our furniture with them for a year and then hired them to move our furniture into a new apartment. They showed up with only one person to move large items and it was extremely hard on us and our bodies to help the single poor guy who showed up. They had promised us two people. And they lost some of our furniture and damaged other. Stay as far away from this company as possible. read more

These guys did a great job! My boyfriend and I just moved from one side of Boston to the other and it couldn't have gone better. Oleg was very responsive via email and called us the night before to make sure we were all set. Tony was the foreman for our move and was great. They wrapped the couch and bed in syran wrap so it didn't get dirty and everything got here in one piece. They even offered to stay and help us rearrange the furniture in our new place. The price was extremely fair (we paid $385) and we will definitely use them again in the future. Also, these guys completed a 23 hour moving job the day before and only had a couple hours in between returning to their base and arriving at our place.(They started at 7am the previous day were at our place at 10:30!!) I can't imagine doing that, but they were all friendly and helpful. There's also a 5% discount if you use cash too! Thanks Oleg and his crew! read more

everything was great until they started unloading my furniture. They did not protect my three E bikes. They tied them up on the side of the truck and they were severely damaged. They offered me $300 when the damage was in the the thousands. They did not take responsibility. Not only did I inform my representative that they were expensive but the guys loading the truck knew it and I even let them ride them in the driveway. Very disappointed. I did end up suing them and winning a judgement. read more

This was my girlfriend and I's first experience with a moving company and we chose Poseidon because of the stellar reviews and fast response time by them. We have moved numerous times throughout the Boston area on our own but after our experience with Poseidon they will be our go to from now on! Great working with this group. We moved from out of state and needed help unpacking a moving truck we packed ourselves. Movers were on time, polite, brought plenty of equipment and supplies, worked quickly, communicated well, and we communicated mostly through the yelp app which worked very well. Would definitely use Poseidon moving again. The mover was also able to provide a general liability form for insurance purposes which was required for our building- small extra fee, but extremely reasonable and professional. read more

I spoke to Nico on the phone to get an estimate in order to move interstate. He expressed that they provided a 10-day window for delivery which was fine. I attempted to work with him to identify a pick-up date and delivery date that would work with my timeline. Not only did Niko insult me by telling me that I was contradicting myself but he was extremely RUDE throughout the entire process. I am extremely unsatisfied with the conversation and customer service that was provided! I am glad that I dodged a bullet by NOT going with them! read more

They lost two of my boxes and have not responded to an email or call since (over 10 days). They were also 3 days late after a two week window, and did not warn me that my entire move was delayed until they were already 2 days outside of this window. They did not show up to the pick up on time, and upon drop-off the truck showed up 45 minutes before the movers came to unload the truck. They are incredible unresponsive, and do not hold up to any promised made on their website (tracking services etc.). Employees are nice and make promises about communication and then proceed to ignore calls and emails for weeks at a time. I had a piece of furniture show up broken. read more

I've moved several times in my life and none were as painless as this past time with Poseidon. Oleg was great to work with over email and was even better as the foreman for the actual move. They showed up on time, did a quick walkthrough, were friendly and polite - didn't mind that I was basically in their way the whole time. As we moved to the delivery location they kept me up to date as they had a break etc and once we got to the new place, the move in was even easier. Plus, they helped me figure out where things should go! Very reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. I'll be calling them the next time I move! read more

Amir and Dragos are amazing!! I've had Poseidon Moving help me move 3 times, and every time they do a 5-star job. There's never been disappointment. These guys are punctual on time, organized, do all the heavy lifting, take extra care of the furniture, and are very quick in move. They are also being very considerate of where to put the boxes in my new apartment (makes so much easier for me to unpack!). I managed to move my 1bd apartment (12 large boxes, 6 suitcases, 1 queen-size bed frame and mattress, dining table&chairs, TV, etc.) within 3 hours including travel time. I truly enjoyed the moving experience with Amir and Dragos as it's sweat-free and worry-free. I'd highly recommend Posidon moving read more

This moving company comes very highly recommended. The closing was scheduled for the morning of July 31st. I had booked the moving for the afternoon, between 13:00 and 15:00. Due to circumstances beyond the movers control the scheduled move was running very late. Even though there was a late start the three movers worked tirelessly and super fast, moving us out of the apartment and into my new home. I was on the fourth floor of the apartment and my new home has 3 floors so as you can imagine there was many levels to endure but the men worked super hard and with a commitment like no other! Alex, the owner, was one of three men and he actually rose to the occasion and the unfortunate tardy circumstance and took on the responsibility of making this move happen as per our verbal contract: what a great owner and business man. He certainly is a great role model to his peers! Thank you Poseidon Movers! read more

For years I've sworn that one day some company somewhere would impress me so much I'd actually have to make a Yelp account just to review them (actually....). Poseidon Moving was that company. I saw them on the street on a Friday, asked for a card and was able to schedule a booking with Oleg that very day for a move only four days later. The movers, Tony and Alex, showed up as scheduled (despite a freak hail storm) and were nothing short of incredible. The worked with impressive speed and treated every box, furniture piece and trinket as respectfully as if it were their own. They shrink wrapped like nimble elves and disassembled a large metal canopy bed in hardly any time. Later, they maneuvered this same bed frame up four flights of dubiously narrow stairs, pausing on the third floor to delicately lean part of it out a window in order to make a turn I thought would be impossible. Then they reassembled it. Furthermore, throughout this particularly tricky (and sweltering hot) ordeal, they NEVER dropped their positive and professional demeanors. The move wasn't finished until nearly midnight and they stayed strong until the end. I can't speak highly enough of my entire experience with Poseidon Moving and I would definitely recommended them to anyone looking to make a move big or small in the Boston area. SIX STARS!! read more

Top-Notch Moving Service Look... moving is painful. The last thing you want is for a moving company to make that any worse. Having had bad experiences in the past, I was a unsure what to expect from a moving company. My wife put a lot of work into finding a good mover and settled on Poseidon. Poseidon had terrific reviews, and after my wife spoke with Oleg, who runs the business, she was confident they would do a good job. Their quote was reasonable and they were able to schedule the move easily. On moving day, Poseidon showed up on-time and ready to go. Oleg and Tony arrived and immediately got to work. They were efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable about packing, wrapping, stacking, and transporting. I'm more convinced moving is a science than ever before. Both Oleg and Tony were very helpful and professional. They asked questions that helped them pack, load, and unload efficiently. Almost as important and anything else, they had smiles on their faces and made the process smooth. Having had bad movers who looked pissed off the whole time, Poseidon stood out by having a great attitude. Once they got everything packed into the truck, they efficiently moved everything to our new home. Unpacking was smooth as well. They stayed late into the evening reassembling furniture and then helping us arrange the rooms. All of our furniture and belongings were intact. As they finished up, Oleg and Tony cleaned up after themselves and did not leave any mess. Oleg then went over the bill with me. It was exactly as quoted without any extra charges. Again, a very reasonable price for moving a 1BR condo in Boston to a house in the suburbs. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased. We took a stack of their business cards because we will be recommending Poseidon frequently. We would use them again in a heartbeat. You should too. They are top-notch! read more
