Calamari
Gianna Y.

First time at port for brunch-lunch on their waterfront patio. Beautiful views. We booked right at opening because first of all their parking lot has like 20 spots! Come later and I don't even know where to park if you have reservations! Last time we visited was winter and the server told me their winter season js a lot slower so we didn't have issues finding parking. So note to self. Book early if you can. Service was good. They were busy. The place filled up fast. I was surprised they didn't have brunch items. We only ordered apps to share cuz who is having a steak at 11:30am. LOL. No complaints. Everything we had was great. We enjoyed each dish and we were full!!

Hot honey chicken burger with side salad (Caesar).

Service was friendly and fast. Ambiance is nice, especially in the summer if you're sitting outside. The inside is clean and spacious and the seating is comfortable. The food is pretty good. I tried the hot honey chicken burger and the crab burger. The chicken was a little dry but they are solid burgers nonetheless. The fries are crisp and seasoned well. I would say the caeser salad had a bit too much dressing for my taste though. I'd probably go with either the fries or the quinoa kale salad (the other option for the side salad). A lot of the other items on the menu including drinks are pretty expensive although that's to be expected for this type of restaurant. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

Beautiful view and atmosphere both inside and out is enjoyable and relaxing. Food was good. We had the chicken parm, calamari, truffle fries, garlic shrimp, caesar salad and vegetable rigatoni. Our server Denzel was amazing! He was so accommodating and friendly and gave honest recommendations.

Beautifully scenic waterfront restaurant. Busier on the weekends. Try to make reservations ahead of time. Service was welcoming and accommodating. There is a separate kids menu available. This is a fine dining restaurant, so prices are steep. I think it's worth it and for the experience. Great for special occasions. The food and drinks were delicious. We had: Calamari, Seafood Fettuccine, Braised Short Ribs and Ribeye Steak.

The service and the view were notable here! The pizza was the star of the show here. The texture and flavours of the wood fired dough was great! The pasta and brussel sprouts were good but nothing to write home about. The burger was a miss for me and the calamari had far too many peppers and little calamari pieces. That was kind of a bummer. After a small hiccup of service at the beginning where no one attended to our table for 20-30 minutes due to miscommunication maybe? Our server was great! Will maybe come back when the patio opens as the view is really what you pay for in this area and restaurant.

Very professional service. Amazing covered patio by Frenchman's Bay. The food was good : fried calamari, Caesar salad made from scratch, big crab cake burger.

Came to Port for my cousins birthday and the two of us really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We were looking for a really quiet, low-key hole in the wall just to hang out and catch up and port did not disappoint. We arrived around 8 PM and left around 11:15, we were literally the last two to leave and the restaurant staff didn't kick us out or anything they just tidied up and checked in on us every so often.

I mean the food doesn't exactly blow you away. The sprouts were probably our favourite dish. Service was accommodating, allowing us to freely change tables to get a better view. Ultimately you are paying for the location. Probably a better place to grab a couple drinks for a little catch up with friends

First time at Port, my friend speaks highly of it and I do truly see myself coming back! The place itself is in a beautiful spot right on the docks, the patio is beautiful. I had a steak, with dessert and cappuccino. The server was excellent extremely kind and attentive. While my steak was over cooked, overall the rest of the food was excellent. Spent hours there. Overall a lovely high end spot, perfect for a date or dinner.

Great Service | Beautiful Vibes | Good Food I came to PORT last weekend for a friends birthday. It's been years since I've visited and I wasn't sure what to expect. Checking Yelp before my visit did leave me a bit worried considering the mixed reviews. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated at a nice long table with a view of the water. However, the restaurant was PACKED - families, date nights and small groups made the resto super loud and crowded. A private glassed in room became available right above us and we asked to move which the servers quickly accommodated. The service was great. Our server Julian was personable, warm and gave us great reccos for our orders. My pasta dish was about $25 which is steep but the portion was decent. The sauce and pasta noodles were good quality and look at that cheese. I didn't have to ask, this is how the dish arrived. My bestie and I split the Rosemary focaccia bread pudding and it was very nice. I wish it was slightly bigger for $12 but it came out wonderfully warm. The birthday girl also became a fiancé this night with a surprise proposal by her soon to be hubby. I had let the manager know this would be happening and they did not rush us out or rush us in general which was lovely. They also brought the couple champagne after the proposal. Be mindful that the resto "closes" at 9pm on a Saturday. This is super odd to me, but be aware when making dinner plans here. Overall, we had a great time!

When we arrived we were immediately impressed with the view from our seat. The staff was very friendly and the service was relatively quick. We ordered the calamari appetizer and didn't have to wait very long to get it. It was great quality and the best calamari I've ever had. My partner got the Smoked BBQ Chicken pizza and it looked excellent. The sample I tried was very flavourful and the crust was the perfect combination of thin, soft, and chewy. This was a perfect portion size and we had no complaints about it. I wasn't quite as satisfied with the Fogo Island Cod. The dish was executed very well for what it is, but I did not see $32 of value in it. The fish was the perfect texture, but it really depended on the rest of the plate for flavour. My biggest complaint was just that I left the restaurant as hungry as I arrived. We're hesitant to say we'd go back. Even though the view was amazing there are many other restaurants that offer comparable quality at lower prices or in larger portions.

Caught an amazing sunny day this winter for lunch! It was my first time here and I much rather coming here than busy downtown Toronto waterfront restaurants! We ordered: Fried Brussel Sprouts Rigatoni Bolognese Ezzo Pepperoni Pizza Favs were the fried Brussel Sprouts and the Rigatoni Bolognese with that dollop of Whipped lemon Ricotta on top I'm a huge italian food lover and this was one of my favorite bolognese dishes ever! Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

I came during the COVID-19 phase 3 with a group of 7. Their policy is maximum 6 people but the rules for Ontario seem to be max 10 people. They made an exception and were able to seat us together. However, for large groups they only have indoor seating. We sat by the bar/windows and the windows were kept open which made us feel more comfortable. There also weren't people sitting too close to us or anything. I ordered a canadian pizza and my boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The pizza was good, but nothing too special. Though I found a hair / fibre in it. The service was good. They promptly took it away and asked if they could do anything like make a new one or offer anything else. I had a new pizza made and they offered fries for the table while we waited. The manager (?) also came by to offer her apologies and took the pizza off our bill. I especially appreciated her coming by personally to speak with me. The chicken sandwich was really yummy and so were the fries. It had a sweet sauce that reminded me of chicken and waffles. Overall, great service, and great view. The food is good but I feel like it doesn't stand out. I kind of expected there to be more seafood on the menu, but being my first time there, I think the current menu is reduced due to COVID-19?

Captain's Boil, the formulaic chain would be the floor and the one I really enjoyed, Lobster Boil Seafood House, in North York would be the ceiling. What I'm about to say about Sea Salt would definitely leave their management a bit "salty". Unequivocally, Sea Salt sits in the deep basement of the pecking order. Sea Salt's standing was easily determined after my first spoonful of the seafood broil. The sauce was their downfall as they went overboard with the of garlic and not to mention they burnt the garlic. As the Cajun sauce is the soul of a seafood boil, their sauce literally ruined the entire dish and experience. The combo we ordered came with fried calamari and shrimp and fries. The fried calamari and shrimp lacked a bit of "salt", which is rather ironic considering the restaurant's name and neither of the sauce complimented (sweet chilli and ranch) the calamari well. The fries were what you expected it to be. But a little bit too much sauce. The one thing that I liked was you could choose to have the Turkish Salaam Cola as part of your combo drink choice. I didn't think it was all that different from regular cola, but it was nice to try. Service is quite slow here and not super attentive. We had to flag them down various times to get things that should have been provided. We weren't given enough plates to start and we had to request for bibs and disposable gloves. These are pretty standard things at other boil places. In general, the appetizers were better than the seafood boil. The portion of the combo was pretty good so we packed some of it to go. But to put things into perspective, the following day I reheated the food for lunch, and my two kids didn't even touch it (with one of them who had experienced Lobster Boil Seafood house). That tells you something!

You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don't like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!

We all ordered one dish and the prices range from $18 - $28 depending on the protein. I tried the Pad garlic pepper beef $21. I was very surprised to find out steamed rice (extra $3) is not served with your entree. My wife ordered the Thai basil chicken and mother-in-law had the chicken green curry. Overall the food portion is decent and flavours are alright. The thai ice tea was good as well. In terms of dining experience, we had to follow up several times to get our take out order and containers. I know this restaurant recently opened about 2 months ago so there's room for improvement. In terms of larger groups of 6 people or more the menu indicates a mandatory gratuity of 18%. I am not a fan of the mandatory gratuity and should be left to the client. If you're looking for some Thai cuisine with good portions and depth of flavours, then this place might be for you. Some may find this place on the pricier side.

My aunt and uncle, and most of their friends it seems, come here often. It's a bit of an older crowd here, but still worth checking out. Though, make time for parking because it's street parking and there's not much of it close by. I got the soup d'jour which was potato and leek. It was yummy and comforting, especially on a cold and rainy day. The soup was savory and not over salted. My main course was fish and chips. The fish was plump, and the batter was crispy. The fries were on the softer side. I didn't try the cole slaw because I'm not a fan. Service was friendly. I would state that you should come here when you are not in a time crunch. Not that they're slow - I think the food came out in time. But you want to take the time to enjoy the food, views, and company. Lastly, the atmosphere is more on the quiet side, at least for Americans maybe (I guess I'm feeding into the stereotype but also I come from a loud family). We were greeted and seated quickly and our server Cass was excellent and very attentive in explaining the special and taking our drink order. She came by several times to check up and I appreciate the care. Those soup dumplings arrived and they're still just as much as a knock out as they usually are. Full of flavour, with a kick of spice, I really enjoyed them. The half priced wings were also worth it with a side of fries. I chose the classic buffalo which were spicy in all the right ways. The wings are smaller compared to other Wing places but they compensate by giving more. The fries were truly delicious, crispy and well seasoned. I really enjoyed the fries and typically get them with every meal. My only issue is that the bathrooms require some upkeep and maintenance as there are several pieces that require repair. The food did not fare much better as my daughter's pizza flatbread did not taste like it did last time. Maybe a different chef was cooking tonight? My royal Bangkok bowl was tiny in size and all the noodles were broken into small pieces which made it unappetizing. The sauce on it was too sweet and eggy for my taste and I won't be ordering it again. My husband's burger was the best pick of the night. All this for $96 made for a pretty ho hum experience. Next time, I will take a sip of my beer first so I don't get stuck drinking something I did not order.
