Diana's Seafood is a great specialty grocer conveniently located on Lawrence avenue, with plenty of parking space and a restaurant steps away from the fresh seafood market. The market itself is my go-to for fresh seafood in the area, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, and the selection is plentiful. Diana's is known to be the supplier for many local seafood restaurants, and I've seen many oyster crates labeled with the unmistakable 'Diana's Seafood' logo being brought into some of my favorite buck-a-shuck establishments. I really enjoy strolling through the market, and the staff are always very happy to help with recipe/serving suggestions. I appreciate that the store also contains anything that you may need to put together a proper seafood meal, from pastas, sauces, sauces, and more!

Malpeque Oysters 33 counts for $21 from the group sale!!! Fresh, meaty, great texture. Can't ask for more.

Not Bad but Not that Great. I'm probably the last person in Toronto to try this restaurant but here goes ! Started off with the Lychee Martini which was honestly one of the best I've had in the city . The malpeque oysters were Fresh & yummy but they're just oysters, so if that's all you're going for, you won't be disappointed . After seeing multiple hot entrees pass by my table , I settled on the seafood trio . I was expecting to be BLOWN AWAY with flavour and freshness but this plate didn't even give a slight breeze ‍. Wow! Every piece of seafood was under-seasoned and bland , I mean I could even taste the "butter " they claimed to have put on it . I had specifically asked for them to grill the items in garlic butter but after tasting what was in my plate , I would have settled for just some salt ! On the upside, the fries were good . The service was mediocre at best . Staff wasn't the most welcoming, everyone just seemed to be run down and tired . The ambiance was that of a diner or roadhouse , if you will. I went back a second time to see if I'd have better luck , maybe if I order another dish?! Nope . Even the seafood pasta (/with saffron cream sauce) was underwhelming. I took my leftovers home, added some OLD BAY seasoning and chilli flakes and that brought the pasta to life . The food would be good if they just seasoned it. Also the staff seem as if they're just over their jobs and can't really stand the customers anymore The drinks , fries oysters were good tho ! I'd go back for those (if I were in the area) .

I really think this is one of the freshest places to get $1 oysters here. All Malpecs for the dollar oyster and they have lots of other options too for a normal price. You can also order oysters take out and they shuck it for you so it's all good to eat.

Love the selection of oysters and the prices are great! Sometimes when there are sales it works up to less than a dollar and comes with free shuckers! Amazing value and fresh oysters. We love to get the kusshi!

Great Seafood Promotion all the time! It is a seafood heaven you will never get disappointed. Staffs are helpful in choosing what you are looking for. Highly recommended their restaurant. Oysters are fresh and worth the price you pay for.

Definitely the spot to go to if you want good oysters in the gta. They have a huge variety of fresh oysters to choose from but my recommendation is to go on a Tuesday wednesday or Thursday night. On Tuesdays and wednesdays they have 50 oysters for $50. And on Thursdays they have special prices for malpaque, fanny bays, kusshi, and acadian gold by the dozen. The oysters come with fresh grated horseradish, lemon wedges and 3 condiments (cocktail sauce, chili sauce, and vinegrette). Besides oysters they also serve a lot of other seafood dished. We ordered a few sides, but really the main thing to go for is the oysters. Also, I've been here a few times but never bothered with dessert. This time we tried a couple and they are surprisingly well made and delicious. Overall expect to spend a lot of money but no surprise since its seafood and a delightful treat.

I made it back here just wanting to try out their newly opened restaurant. I was here early so wanted to visit the old favorite and wanted to see anything has changed. Not much you still get to see the oysters galore at decent prices. Lots of options of for fish and shell fish. Some accessories and condiments. Prices can be good depending on what is on sale. Some interesting items were the soups some hard to find items and my favorite sashimi grade tuna. Great and dependable as always now if they were in a more accessible location by TTC.

For our Oyster Party we got French Kiss ($14.99/dozen) Beach Angels ($16.99/dozen) Lucky Lime ($15.99/dozen) Pemaquid ($19.99/dozen) From Diana's Seafood Delight. And we were all delighted! All the oysters were fresh and tasty! The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable in making recommendations for you! Now as I can shuck them at home, I definitely will be back to Diana's for more!!

Their fanny bay oysters are really good value for the price, and they are quite big compared to some of the other oysters they have.

Lobsters were mainly in coma. ;) The floor was wet and slippery as you walked in. With this pricing, you can easily find a lot of good choices in Scarborough better than this, even from other Asian markets that carry seafood these days. Not recommended.

What size should I buy for two? What is the best one for simple steaming? Where is what I am looking for? What is the difference among these different tanks? A gentleman who was working here caught me and answered all these questions, and located a perfect size, super lively lobster suitable for steaming! He was knowledgeable about different cooking options, and as soon as he knows we are Japanese, he showed me different sashimi grade seafood and handling tips. We bought - A live lobster (1.5lb) about $30 - 6 sashimi grade shrimps $ less than 10 He was so kind to make sure all the shrimps are the same size. Sashimi was beautiful, fresh and naturally sweet, melt on the tongue. I deep-fried the shrimp head and tail as the gentleman suggested - crispy, thin! And lobster was full of meat, juicy and perfect size for two of us. Full! Yum!! Cant wait to go back again!!!!

A sign caught my eye "Live lobster". Oh yeah, I'm going in! And no, I didn't want to take him home and boil him alive; I just enjoy watching live sea creatures in an aquarium. This store is run by a lovely couple, Lorne and Marilyn, who are experts in customer service and whose family have run this business for 42 years. With all the pictures I took inside their store I thought I owed it to them to purchase something. I told Marilyn that I wasn't intending to stop in so all I had was $10; one downside of this store is that there are no price lists or price tags on anything. Marilyn suggested a beautiful thick Salmon filet. When I arrived home, I seasoned the filet and steamed it, taking care not to overcook it. I served it with oriental noodles and corn because that's all I had available. It was enough for a nice light lunch for me and my hubby. The Salmon was the tastiest, most delicious, mouth watering filet I have ever had at this price point in Toronto. I'm from Southern California so fresh seafood is abundant and cheap. The times when we are far away from the coast I rarely buy seafood at the store or order seafood from a restaurant because it's just not fresh; if it's fresh, it costs an arm and a leg and an organ or two. I will never buy fresh or frozen fish anywhere else. If you are any where close to the corner of Victoria Park and St. Clair, then you must visit this quaint nautically themed seafood market. Services listed on their website: - A selection of fresh and frozen seafood, arriving daily. - Cooked Lobster and Seafood Platters - Made to Order. - Reserving or Picking out their own Lobster, Fish Fillet or piece of Newfoundland Salt Beef. - Various Maritime products including Purity Candy & Cookies, Fries and Gravy Chips, Pineapple Pop, King Cole Tea, Mt. Scio Savoury and a selection of jams, seasonings and sauces. - Dinner party equipment rentals.
