For all you seafood lovers in the west end, don't even bother going downtown or into any Asian supermarket to buy fresh fish because this is your place. I'm so with Liz B. on this one - I will never buy seafood anywhere else. The store is a pretty decent size, very, very clean and does NOT smell like fish. The servers are so polite and helpful and I noticed all the patrons were civilized; there was no pushing, shoving or yelling; everyone just politely waited their turn. They have another store in St. Lawrence Market which we've been to on numerous occasions but, being from Etobicoke and all the closures on the Gardiner, this is far more convenient. It's on Vansco, a side street that runs off North Queen but, for those of you who aren't too familiar with the area, you can catch it off the Queensway (very close to IKEA). I could see this being convenient for those of you in east Mississauga. You won't have trouble with parking as they have a private lot. I paid with debit but I'm sure they accept most major credit cards. They have frozen shrimp, scallops, lobster tails, etc. in all sizes. I also recall seeing cans of crabmeat and smoked salmon as well. As for the fresh fish, there was sea bass, grouper, catfish, swordfish, sole, tuna, etc. - lots to choose from. The tuna looked like it was sushi grade. They also had an array of fresh shell fish as well such as oysters, mussels, huge scallops and shrimp. For the pre-made food, some of the selections were stuffed sole, some awesome looking crab-stuffed calamari and I saw a stuffed salmon (very similar looking to what Costco sells). They also have specialty groceries on a separate side but I was on my lunch break so I didn't have too much time on my hands to browse. Anyway, I bought six calamari tubes with a whole bunch of tentacles for $10.25 and six large, fresh shrimp for $3.95 - great deal! read more

Got some Atlantic salmon and wild tuna for sushi/sashimi. Very fresh, better than my go to sushi place. If you are looking for seafood for sushi, sashimi, poke you must try Mike's. It's quite a drive for me, but whenever I am in the area I will defiantly stop by for sushi grade seafood. They also have some ready to cook varieties, which looked pretty tempting. My only problem was we are a small family with small appetite, unfortunately you can not keep seafood too long in the fridge, and no point on buying something expensive for freshness and then freeze it. They have the best lobster specials. 3 for $20. Sometimes 4 for $20! They're random sales and they sell out fast, but if you're lucky enough to get some they are a tasty treat. Hidden away in an industrial like area is this nondescript shop that sells fresh fish! You got fish, lobster, variety of seafood and some frozen goods. They don't have much oyster selection, which is probably fine I guess cause perhaps it's just not their specialty. You got a constant flow of people driving up here to get some seafood, not like out of the door lineups, shoulder-on-shoulder fighting to get someone's attention. And there are plenty of fish mongers behind the counter to help you. My favorite so far, the smoked salmon! It doesn't taste frozen cause it probably isn't frozen. It's closed on Sundays, operates normal business hours for the most part from what I remember, this means closed at like 4 or 5 on a Saturday. read more

Love this place. Always a great variety of top quality fresh fish and seafood. For the packaged goods, it would be nice if they put a little more effort into sourcing more seafood oriented products instead of relying on the same collection of Italian staples available in a several other stores in the area. Quick Google search lead me here because I was too lazy to drive far back to Mississauga for my go to fish market. I loved the way the store looked. Everyone was attentive and knowledgeable. I'm so glad it's only 5 mins from my house! I ended up buying a live Lobster, two salmon steaks, frozen basa fillets, salad shrimp and jumbo shrimp. All of it was fantastic! read more

Great market! I will never buy seafood anywhere else again. Friendly staff, clean, and all the fish looked so fresh. I never buy pre-seasoned meats/fishes, however they had sea bass stuffed with crab and veg, it couldn't resist. All I have to say is I'm glad I took the chance on it....D'Lish!!! read more

I've been looking for a Fish Market that sells sushi-grade fish more specifically tuna and salmon and they have it. They have a wide variety of seafood both fresh and some frozen - king crab, shrimp, scallops, salmon as well as prepared varieties. They have a lobster tank and so many nice options made it hard to pick and choose. They supply the local grocers and therefore all their stock has a quick turnover and they get fresh fish daily (I asked since it's important to me when serving guest). Their store is very clean and they have a variety of other condiments etc that go well with common and eccentric seafood recipes. Great location! I was looking for a place that sold sushi grade salmon/tuna and stumbled upon this place. It's in a random location but they seem to have a steady set of people coming in and out. The store is very clean and does not reek of fish which is nice. Ended up buying an ahi tuna steak to make my poke bowl. Came to almost $30, not sure if that's considered expensive or not. Next time I will come back for the scallops. I noticed they had a few varieties, small and large. The man who helped me gave me some tips as it was going to be my first time handling raw fish so I'm satisfied with the service. read more
