I've been here a couple times in the summer. The interior is beautiful. I recently went with a friend for the bottomless mimosas and those were fantastic. Great service at the bar. Had a great night here! Was much better than i expected. The decor and ambiance was beautiful. The crowd is more sophisticated， probably late 20s or even early 30s and up. Half the restaurant is inside and half out, very Miami vibes ish. Outside had lots of string lights to set the dreamy mood. There was a live DJ and trumpet player playing music all night. The food is not as expensive and mediocre as some reviewers say! My fave were probably the appetizers: avocado and tomato labneh, zucchini, and calamari! The labneh was a whipped feta cheese dip with doughy, pillowy and chewy round pita. It was sooo cloud soft and delicious! Zucchini frites had a dill sauce that made me wanting more and calamari came with an addictive aioli. The entire night was very live and bougie. Ppl jamming to music outside and dancing, getting bottle service etc. There were def more ppl seated outside than in. One of the tables outside got bottles and the waitress came out with sparklers and everything, exactly like how they'd do it at clubs. Felt like I was at a party! Lol read more

It pains me to leave a 3 star review because this place really isn't awful. The server we got was lovely, chatty and informative and the ladies who received and sat us were friendly too. But oh my goodness gracious is the music ever obnoxiously loud. I could not hear my waitress over the music and her mask. I couldn't hear what my friend was saying. Right, well lets get down to the reason for really docking 2 stars. The menu is oddly expensive for some items. Dessert for $22 anyone? We got the catch of the day and it was delicious but a bit too salty for me and my friend noticed the menu said mixed vegetables but all we got was greens (I loved them but I duly noted her point). The waitress was willing to make some minor substitutions for my friend who is a VERY picky eater so literally all the 3 stars here are for her and the cooking staff. Frequent water top-ups and check-in were good if not over-board (I like it but can be hard when you are trying to have a serious conversation). We waited a few minutes to be able to flag someone down for the bill and then when our waitress never returned, we asked someone else to bring us the machines to pay. The restaurant is absolutely empty and they seat us all together in one bunch. Some of our other friends showed up soon after us without reservations and were told they are completely book, yet I looked around and there were tons of seats. The parking situation is messy. Some have been told and allowed to park there for free if they dined in and others were told no there is no free parking even if you have a reservation. Make sure you call ahead and check before relying on everyone's different experience. The ambience is great and would have probably loved it in the summer on the patio but then I remember the prices and ask myself if I would rather eat at a finer establishment downtown Toronto or am I willing to suck it up to be on a patio (a Canadian thing, if you aren't local - you won't get it). Won't be back unless for a special occasion that someone else made the reservation for and I had no choice. But of all the places I would have to reluctantly go to, this one isn't too bad if you don't mind spending the money. read more

I logged on here to find that this place has 3 stars... which is a very low rating and now I understand why. I spent the day at Woodbine beach with a colleague and my dog. We decided to dine at Toronto Beach Club for the first time. We came in and looked over the menu, it seemed OK, so we decided to stay and sit inside. It was extremely windy today, so my friend asked to sit away from the patio/open windows. We sat down and continued to order, the server seemed very happy to take our order and complimented how small and cute my dog was. Our food then came and we asked for some condiments on the side. The waiter dropped them off at the table and we started into the first few bites of or dish. This is where it gets weird... the manager came to our table and said that he had to move us outside (to the cold patio, where we asked to NOT be sat) because dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. I offered politely to show him my service dog ceritifcatioon and that nobody told us that it wasn't allowed and the server actually complimented my dog. He refused to see my certification, saying that it's still not allowed because "he's the manager and this restaurant doesn't allow it". I was completely baffled and insulted at this point and continued to insullt me by telling me he'll let his cat sit on the desk at home but not in the restaurant (WTF does this have anything to do with me or my situation) My dog was well mannered and not disrupting any business in the restaurant. I don't understand it at all. Anyhow, I told him he can take the food back because we don't want it and were leaving. Now that the thought of loss revenue is in his head, he's changed his tune and now service animals are guests of the Toronto Beach Club. I walked out as he hung his man bun in shame. As someone who works in the industry, I am disgusted by the lack of customer service and knowledge when it comes to allowing certified pets into the restaurant. bTW the first two bites of the food I had were terrible too and not worth the price point. Came here for lunch today. It's such a beautiful venue open to the surrounding park and beach. We had a reservation and was sat immediately. Service was superb. Super friendly staff that seemed so happy to be there AND have us there. Considering the mess of the last year and a half, I'm not surprised. We started with drinks. I had a delicious Caesar, my daughter had a drink with grapefruit. Then we split appetizers. The ahi tuna carpaccio was delicate with the truffles. Loved it. The Burrata came with a couple of pieces of over greased baquette. But the burrata was amazing with the honey. We also ordered the smoky eggplant which I'm not a fan of but my daughter loved it. Came with the best pitas I've ever tasted. Big and fluffy. This wasn't a cheap outting so we probably won't be back for awhile but damn it's good. read more

New beachside restaurant alert! A friend in the industry told me all about this new spot opening by the beaches and we had to try it out for a light lunch. The decor makes it a perfect place to have a girls brunch, or date brunch, or family brunch lol We ordered 1. Branzino crudo: pickled chili, caper leaf, lemon, olive oil The flavors were nice however, the branzino tasted a bit fishy to me, perhaps it was the fish itself or the fact that the fish could use extra lemon. 2. Ahi tuna carpaccio: summer truffle, truffle aioli, fried capers, arugula, chive - this was actually amazing, the tuna was sliced nice and thin, the truffle aroma was very apparent and the herbs were a great accompaniment to the fish. 3. Short rib stuffed pita: tzatziki, pickled peppers, red onion, tomato jam, rocket - This had nice flavors and the short rib was good, however it was very messy to eat comfortably and at the end it all ended up being deconstructed. 4. Jumbo shrimp: These tasted sort of bland, and I was shocked that it was the most pricey item we ordered because it did not justify its taste. The patio and interior is so well decorated with a delightful ambiance which gives off major LA vibes. So I'm excited to see what kind of events can be hosted in this beautiful space in the future! I would come back and try more of their dinner menu and hope they're better and would definitely come back for the ahi-tuna carpaccio. read more

This is a nice modern spot at Woodbine beach. They also have a second floor, we discovered, which is just as nice! Comfortable seating and a cool atmosphere. We went for a friend's birthday and it was a pleasant experience! Service wise, they are good. The food however, was ok, nothing was over the top from what you would expect for a $75 all you can eat. The desert was good also, still, nothing out of the ordinary. The bottomless top mimosas were tasty! Too bad you had to stick to one flavour to keep those going! There is also an outdoor section behind the bar on the second floor, for smokers or freshair. Half of it was covered with some heat lamps. Its a nice place by the beach to come back to.. I was so looking forward to going to the Beach Club in Toronto....... But when arriving and sitting on wet cushions the whole time and waiting an hour for a drink didn't sit well with me. I found the service slow and waitress most insulting, hey maybe she was having a bad day, no need to be sarcastic . The four of us were out enjoying a celebration of our children getting married, and were in for an enjoyable lunch....... never again. It was not nice from the beginning to end, asked for salt and pepper 5 times, we did take a while to decide on drinks but once we did it took and hour to get them, in fact our salad came out before we got a cocktail. My girlfriend asked for a Chardonnay as soon as we sat down, and she didn't get it till we all decided half an hour later so she actually waited 1 hour and a half for her wine. I couldn't for the life of me understand why the waitress took a sudden dislike to us. Was it because we were fine with normal water instead of still ? As it started as soon as we sat down on our wet cushions. just saying service bad and bad attitude didn't help. read more

I honestly had a great time here. Although calling it a beach club is a little deceiving as most of your view is a crosswalk and people biking or walking and playing volleyball. The beach is quite far but thankfully there is free parking if you are dining here. The food was great, everything was delicious. I loved the eggplant dip and truffle fries. Service was decent - we ordered bottle service too. I would definitely come back, cute patio! read more

beautiful restaurant, beautiful patio, beach resort vibes Mediterranean food grilled branzino was my favourite, deboned, filleted, grilled on the skin side grilled eggplant was so good, like eating a fancy babaghanoush with a mix of nuts and sweet flavours, the smokiness was so good, pita was thick and hearty but still fluffy chicken was super tender and flavourful Cacio e pepe was very flavourful (maybe a tad too salty) pasta was al dente sauteed greens were way too salty, not sure that this dish was supposed to taste like that my drink was called the gimlet?, lovely lavender flavour, lots of alchy tho, the classy glass and giant ice cube was a nice touch our server was amazing, knew the menu well and was so nice, took pictures for us, had a great sense of humour, and gave us Prosecco on the house to celebrate the bride-to-be the fire dance performance was such a fun surprise, wish it went on longer Great spot. Would definitely come back for the food and ambience. A patio view of the beach during the daytime would be so nice. If it wasn't for the overly salted sauteed greens, would def rate 5 stars. read more

Arriving, you still have to pay for parking even if you have a reservation. Our table wasn't ready, and we were taken to the wrong spot. They did give free champagne which was nice, but our orders weren't taken for over 30 mins. We wanted to order the burrata but they were all out. When I ordered my Lamb "well done" the waiter was very quick to judge and said "my chef will cry!!!" We were seated by the front of the house surrounded by people awkwardly waiting around for their table. Drinks were really good. Food service was very slow, it has been an hour so far. We got our food shortly after. The lamb was a sharing plate with no sides, which should have been mentioned on the menu. The Pomodoro noodles were still a bit hard. We were planning on getting dessert but it wasn't worth the wait... Would recommend just coming for drinks, maybe if they do breakfast and you can watch the water would be good. But for a Friday night wouldn't recommend. read more

Everything was going great until our server blatantly lied to us and refused to bring us the daily specials menu to confirm what we had suspected. I ordered the grilled octopus special and noticed that the fingerling potatoes that was stated on the menu were missing from the dish. When I asked her if the dish came with potatoes she confidently said no so we asked her multiple times to bring us the menu to confirm. She didn't and instead saw her taking shots at the bar. I thought "is this a fing joke"??? Instead of making a scene I ate my $40 dish sans the potatoes and on the way out looked at the menu and confirmed that it was in fact missing potatoes. Terrible service from the blonde server....maybe she should lay off the shots at the bar and be more attentive to her guests! SAVE YOUR MONEY....WE WERE ROBBED! Table of 4....total bill $640.00. No dessert or coffee..... before tip. We ordered the seafood tower to start. Advertised as fresh....came to the table still quite frozen. The Market Price was 195.00 for no more than 40 bucks worth of previously frozen, overcooked seafood. We were served someone else's order twice before our food came from the kitchen. I will say that most of the hot food was tasty......but 12 bucks for a cold soggy plate of fries? Obnoxious. The restaurant decor is pedestrian at best. Perhaps at theses prices ....some linen and real plants instead of plastic? Poorly run, confused servers. Poor lighting....we had to use our phone flashlights to read our menus...the Bathroom had clearly been neglected for sometime. We paid big money for a crappy experience and suggest that you all save your money and try somewhere else. The worst restaurant regret that I have ever experienced. read more

We went to this place yesterday, which looked quite similar to before the Reno's. Beautiful outdoor space and friendly staff. The food was astronomically priced (we're talking top tier Toronto restaurant prices) and it was awful. I don't ever get in here to write reviews but this was ridiculous. Our bill was 200 dollars and we had 4 drinks and split two appetizers. Calamari and Burrata to be exact. The portions were very small and the food tasted like jack astors. For these prices you can eat and drink at some of the best restaurants in Toronto. Don't bother with this one. read more

Wonderful dinner and vibe on a Thursday night. They have live entertainment every Thursday and this evening it was an opera singer. She was lovely and sang to a variety of different music. We thoroughly enjoyed the smoked eggplant and calamari appetizers. Both I felt were something different - the calamari was well seasoned and had a unique batter which was something new. The eggplant was very flavorful and filling with the pita. We both enjoyed the grilled branzino - it was very well prepared, with a side of sautéed greens. The service was excellent. I looked forward to trying some of the raw bar items next time. For non-seafood folks there are plenty of meat or other options. Overall great special night out spot. Decor is beautiful and love that the indoor area is open to the patio and that those on the patio were fully sheltered from the rain by umbrellas. Highly recommend! read more

This was one of my top 5 meals in my life. Every dish was fabulous. The staff were attentive, friendly and engaging, indicating signs of a well managed establishment that cares about its employees . Chef Ted Corrado has created a masterpiece of a menu that makes it so difficult to choose from. It has a great atmosphere and the outdoor patio certainly gives off a Mediterranean beach setting, The vibe is hip yet relaxing. A nice touch was the female opera singer walking rhoughout the patio. Yes, this restaurant is pricey, but if you are celebrating something special, it is well worth it. read more

I have to admit I was really looking forward to going. We were a party of 8 and were forced to a (very expensive) set menu. Even after receiving assurances that we could order a la carte if our party was reduced to 7, they told us it was not possible despite advising them of the change ahead of schedule. We ended up with with plates of things no one wanted and fighting over other dishes (fish dish was amazing but the plate has a measly 6 oz of fish to share amount 4 people?!?). despite being one of just 3 tables in the restaurant, our courses took a long time to arrive and had to ask several times when it was coming. The preset desert was not what was on the preset menu and when it arrived we had 2 very tiny tartlets to share between 7 people. Barely 1 bite each. The bill was outrageously high for our meal. And to boot, we saw a table larger than ours (about 12-15 people) order from the menu, no preset for them?! So for my courtesy or reserving a table, my guests were inconvenienced by having to eat what they gave us, which was not what we would have liked to order at the time we went there. And pay a lot of money for it. the food was very good, for the dishes we liked, but overall the experience was a ZERO for that we had to pay. We all agreed we will never go there again. read more

Booked the reservation months in advance and was very excited to check out this new spot. Space itself is average for a restaurant. Ordered the calamari and burrata appetizers and they were both sub par. Small portions, no flavour and the calamari came out within a minute of ordering.. it was apparent food is just sitting around in the kitchen and was chewy. We decided after that to skip trying anything else and go to a better restaurant. Food was expensive for being awful. Would not recommend and would never go back. Literally any place is better than this one. I don't see this restaurant lasting. read more

Save your money... had a very disappointing experience here last night. One thing after another. The highlights: - no coat check. Had to hang a jacket over a chair and it kept falling on the floor... should be fun in the winter when everyone has a coat. - 15 min before the waiter came by to take our order, AND THEN was told what wasn't available on the menu. Had to make a quick second choice... always tell your customer up front what to expect from the menu. Our guest was very disappointed. - when taking our dinner order, the waiter took 2 of our 4 orders, and then walked away, coming back 5 minutes later. - $196 seafood platter: came to the table far too cold (like it was prepared at 11am and stuck in a very, very cold fridge for the day), sparse (for the price), toughest shrimp ever... don't even think about ordering this one. - twice food came to the table that wasn't ours - once it was actually set down while we all looked at each other wondering if this was some sort of a complimentary gesture for the abhorrent seafood platter - but even when it was set down, they had forgotten to give us side plates (but then it was whisked it away as our meals were being brought out). - lastly, out of the blue, 3 coconut sorbets arrived... except there were 4 of us - were they expecting us to group share? A white, unadorned scoop in a dish. Odd. At the end of the evening, we had zero expectations that some sort of discount would be applied to the bill ($800 with tip for 4 people!), knowing that multiple people had seen the issues and never apologized, but that seafood platter... The Beach Club is pretending to be a high end restaurant. If you want a high end, nice evening out, spend your money elsewhere - they're in over their head. If they want to play in the big leagues they need to get their customer service act together. read more

My friend and I walked in on a Tuesday evening having dressed up to go for dinner here and arrived right as the doors opened at 4pm and immediately the young blonde hostess asked if we had a reservation, when we said "no, but we're looking for a table for 2" she then told us they were reservation only and couldn't accommodate us as they were fully booked for the night but to come back another night and book a table on OpenTable. We said can we book for tonight and she again replied "unfortunately we are fully booked for this evening" We found it a bit odd seeing as we were the first people to arrive at 4pm on a Tuesday. Not exactly a busy night for dining. As we walked out we looked on OpenTable and they had time slots for all evening. We immediately booked for the next reso time (4:15pm) and walked back in and said "we are here for our reservation booked on OpenTable, looks like there is times available all evening" a manager was now standing next to her and was very pleasant with us not realizing what had just happened 2 minutes ago. The hostess looked embarrassed to say the least. The patio started to get busier around 6pm as we were leaving but there were still about 60% of the tables free. I'm just shocked a restaurant like this or any restaurant would turn away business during this pandemic and after all these lockdowns. Prior to this being the Toronto Beach Club it was a beautiful modern Greek restaurant called Taverna and the downfall to that restaurant despite being a beautiful restaurant with great food was the poor service (and exorbitant prices for what they offered). I really hope this new restaurant doesn't make the same mistake. $200 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 apps and 1 entree just seems crazy compared some amazing top tier Toronto restaurants. Word to management, ensure your staff and especially your hostess have exceptional customer service skills. It's the only way this restaurant will survive. read more
