Visited during their Sunday Oasis Brunch and it was a wonderful experience. The pricing was $75 a person for the brunch, which includes all you can eat oysters and a bunch of seafood as well as normal brunch buffet fare. The pricing is going up to to $85 a person starting July 1, 2023. Is it worth it? If you can eat a lot of oysters and enjoy mussels, shrimps and more then yes! I also really liked the atmosphere as it was modern, open concept with the patio open allowing a fresh breeze from Lake Ontario coming in, and also very nice music playing throughout. I felt like I was at a resort with not a care in the world during my dining experience. Parking is $10 with a reservation. The parking attendant will ask for the reservation name and instead of $50 for parking you can park for $10.

This place had some good offerings. We started with some dried fruit and cheese, they also had a honey comb, fruit preserve, and two hard cheeses to choose from. The meats I didn't get into because I don't rear cold cuts often, but they had three to four. In this station they also had some desserts, breakfast croissants and chocolatines. Some small danishes or coffee cakes. Everything was fresh. The guac was excellent and fresh. They had scrambled eggs, baklava which I thought was one of the best I've ever had. Sausage and bacon, with some toppings, cheese for the eggs. They had roasted cauliflower, which I think needs to be replaced with something else. This table has a Greek salad station, with olives, sun dried tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce, feta cheese and dressing. There were also hot stations with fried fish that had quite a bit of bones, perfectly done lamb, and beef that was being carved for you, this was nice. The dessert table was nice because of the selection, but once something was gone I wasn't sure they were going to bring it back or replace it with something else. Enjoyable. And for two it cost us just over $200. I think I would try somewhere different next time for lunch, but it's Good to try it once.

This cute little Toronto Beach Club tucked right beside woodbine beach is a cute, beach vibe resto. A little boujee, a little casual, $$. Food- food was pretty good! Portion size is small-medium, but don't expect to be stuffed unless you order multiple items. STARTERS: If you're looking for starters, the eggplant dip was very flavourful, with 2x warm pitas to dip (would love for it to be 3X pitas because there's a lot of eggplant dip left after only generously dipping 2 pitas). The zuchinni frittes are also very flavourful, crispy, yet light. Topped with a light tzatziki sauce (would definitely order again). ENTREES: I was feeling for a little pasta, they only have two options, spaghetti and cacio e Pepe. I am a fan of white sauce, light yet filling. It was good! My friend got the Piri Piri chicken, flavourful, tender, worth it. Unfortunately, you need to order sides alongside entrees as separate orders so be weary of that if you're looking for a side of fries or salad with your main entree dish. If you're looking for a fish dish to try, branzino crudo, a light white fish, with a side of pickled peppers. We came here for a bday, and brought our own cake, there is a $5 cake cutting fee PER PERSON just FYI! Ambience - if it weren't for ambience the food would make this place a 3/5, but because this place is so comfy, cozy, chic with a lot of effort poured into their appearance, I would give it a 4/5. A beautiful indoor seating area, outdoor patio section, 2x bars, and a beautiful private event space up top for a small party with an outdoor patio, this place is so cute!! Location - woodbine beach ~ but not directly at the water, it has a view of the boardwalk and vball courts and sandy beachfront, a little distance from the water (alongside the parking lot) Parking - there is a lot they have designated for TBC guests but it got full quick, so be mindful and circle the public green P spaces 2-5 times and hopefully you will find something. It is paid parking!

You can't go wrong with one of their hot mezze that comes with a grilled pita to start. The bread arrives hot and fresh, puffed to perfection so that it's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with spices. They accompany the smoked eggplant ($16), a decent portion of warm soft legume that would have been amazing if the walnut and olive relish weren't so sour that even the pomegranate molasses' sweetness couldn't balance it out. Maybe it's me, but I prefer my eggplant savoury. Their jamon iberico ($36) was sliced into respectable sized slices, the prized pig's cured slightly sweet essence bursting on the tongue. Not quite a melt-in-your-mouth as what you'll find in Spain, these were nonetheless tasty and worth a nibble if you appreciate a good charcuterie. Of the three starters the sea bream crudo ($21) was my favourite. Thick meaty slices of white fish topped with citrus caviar (segments of finger lime) and chili sitting in what looks like a fiery olive oil but is rather delicate. The crudo was perfectly seasoned and wonderfully tasty, a lovely summery dish to enjoy while sitting outdoors. Toronto Beach Club's lamb chops ($45 for the half order shown) were cooked perfectly. So, it's such a shame that they were too salty and requires some tableside knife skills. The seasoning needs to be toned down as the outer chops made me reach for water and since the marinated yogurt was also salted, together they were way too much. It'd be nice if the kitchen also considers the table size when finishing the dish: our four chops were only cut in half for a 3-top, which means you need to portion them yourself when they arrive. It likely helps the meat retain its heat and juices better, but it's also a bit difficult to cut through the chops on a big platter with all the yoghurt and garnishes. The age-old joke of "how many people does it take to...?", let me just say it is not one. Thank you to Parv for this picture Where they really excelled was the grilled seafood. Their fileted black sea bass ($36) had such a lovely, charbroiled exterior and was still delicately done inside. While it comes with a choice of sauce (we chose the harissa butter), it's fantastic by itself. Sides need to be ordered separately and are more than sufficient to share amongst three. The French fries ($12) are a safe choice - nice and crisp, dusted with oregano and salt and comes with truffle aioli for dipping. Yet, what really caught our attention was the grilled broccolini ($19): cooked until crisp and covered with pecorino-ramano, pangrattato, and calabrain chili creating such a lovely almost creamy sauce with a hit of heat to end. Do get yourself some greens. Just make sure to save room for dessert as their baklava ($12-$15) is a must. I love that it wasn't soaked in syrup, rather the perfect amount to add sweetness but still leave the puff pastry crispy and not oily feeling. The two pieces are sandwiched between a frozen cream layer. If this isn't the ultimate ice cream sandwich, I don't know what is. The strawberry crostata ($12-$15) paired nicely with it - the pastry a cross between a shortbread and cake and topped with ample sweet strawberries and a cold scoop of vanilla ice cream

Cauliflower steak, I dont recommend it. The sauce was not very good. It could have been better.

You can also try parking for free along Walter Street. - Book a reservation, especially when it's Mother's or Father's Day. I met up with three friends for brunch on Sunday. I've known one since we were in grade 1. I became friends with the other two when we were in grade 7. All four of us were in the Extended French program in grade 7. Three of us dropped out by the time we got into high school together. One friend lives in Hong Kong and was in town for two weeks. She asked me if I was free on Sunday. It was Father's Day, but I had seen my dad already in the morning and was going to return for dinner at night. I said yes. I'm glad that I did. We had a reservation at The Kingston House for noon. It was my first time here. It used to be the Grover Exchange for many years. It was fitting that we came here for bunch. It's a few blocks away from where we all attended high school. I took backroads to get here. There was parking behind the eatery. I backed into a spot at around 11:45 am. Spaces are limited. There were five left. I walked in and saw the Father's Day buffet spread. It looked good. I stood waited to be seated. My friend who lives in Hong Kong was at the back of the restaurant and waved frantically at me. One friend came in ten minutes after I had. She could only stay briefly. I was happy that she came for coffee and a good chat. I hadn't seen her since we graduated from high school. My friend from grade 1 came in last. The TTC was on a Sunday schedule and she was late thanks to a bunch of detours. I hadn't seen her since we were undergraduates. What is special about the Kingston House is that brunch goes until 4 pm. We stayed for almost four hours and staff did not kick us out. We needed four hours to catch up. We picked up from where we all left off. It was nice. The Father's Day buffet was $45 per person. It had pastries, salad, a roast beef carvery, two types of eggs benedict, mussels, french toast with berries, a chocolate fountain with fruit, and a whole lot more. It was impressive. I will admit that I didn't gorge as much as I should have. I felt like my friends and I were in the same boat. Our conversation was so good that we almost had to nudge ourselves to eat! I got a mimosa. It was $8 for the first one. If you wanted more, it was $5 each. Such a steal! I loved mine. It was refreshing, a bit bubbly, and yummy. We got a lot of water refills. Staff were super patient, friendly, and attentive. I loved chatting with our female server, who went to Notre Dame High School down the street and was bummed out that she didn't have woodworking class there. Her brothers did at Neil McNeil. Crazy how you come back to the Beaches, you talk to locals, and you feel like you still live there. My first plate at the buffet consisted of mussels, peameal bacon benedict, bacon, and sausage. Everything was delicious. My second place was full-on carbs. I wanted the french toast with berries, which was fantastic! Next to the french toast were bread pudding and apple crumble, which are two of my favourite desserts. I loved it all. I got a huge scoop of potato salad. It was so good. I am a dill fan and this salad had a ton of dill that made me so happy. I also felt the need to balance everything with a plate of fruit. I had pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon chunks. They were sweet and so good to finish off my meal. I used the washroom twice, which was downstairs. It's an older building, so it's not great on the accessibility scale. The women's washroom was clean and spacious. Downstairs had live jazz music happening. It was a nice touch. I got to check out two different acts performing while I was briefly down there. There was also a full bar. I saw a pool table, but it was covered. This downstairs area is used for various events. It's cozy and cool. I briefly saw the patio. It was popular with all the dads and their families. We stayed inside, which I liked. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped. All was great. I'd love to return and focus on the food! I felt that my food took a backseat. That's okay. It's not every day that you get to hang out with friends whom you haven't seen in eons in the neighbourhood in which you all grew up. (205)

It's got this '70s rec-room basement vibe that I personally find completely irresistible. If I had a house, I'd want at least one room that looks exactly like what Lonely Diner's got going on. And fortunately, the drinks and food live up to the incredible atmosphere. I started out with the Haw Yeah ("Rum blend, amaro meletti, pernod, hawflakes, high octane black sugar falernum, mulberry grenadine, lime"), which is a delicious spin on a typical tiki drink. I've ordered it twice now, and it's satisfied me completely on both occasions. Another favorite for me is the Lucky Numb-er 8 ("Gin, pomello & lemongrass gentian, cocchi americano, dry vermouth, sichuan peppercorn tincture"), which is their spin on a white Negroni. It's so damn good. It's packed with flavor and definitely reminds me of a Negroni, but like better than any Negroni I've ever had. If that wasn't impressive enough, the food is terrific too. I tried one of their specials, the Wasabi Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Sichuan peppercorn battered fried chicken with a wasabi spiced caesar dressing and anchovies on a brioche bun"), on my latest visit and it's so, so good. The perfectly cooked and impressively juicy chicken is accompanied by an incredibly flavorful assortment of accouterments. I inhaled it, pretty much. Enjoyable. However, I loved the beurre Blanc sauce - it was foamy - making the butter-ly and creamy sauce feel light in the mouth. Nice hint of tangy-ness. #Herb Crusted Salmonwith garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables, and beurre blanc sauce: The same sauce as ravioli, that matched with salmon well. Today's highlight was Spicy Hibiscus Margarita. (Dessert) Chocolate Espresso Martini Cake rich vanilla cake, mascarpone, house-made chocolate espresso mousse $10: Essentially, tiramisu. lol. We came without a reservation and were seated right away (the restaurant wasn't very busy on a weekend afternoon that day). Our server was very friendly and on the ball. The chef came out a few times to ask how the food was, made sure everything was ok, and was super nice as well. Food was very delicious - loved everything from the 2 different salmon dishes that we got (Light Choice Roasted Salmon Fillet with lemon garlic sauce, and Cedar Plank Salmon that we got with the pesto and feta cheese on the side). The Grilled Calamari was very flavourful with the marinade, and it was perfectly cooked without being too chewy or rubbery (not overly cooked). All main dishes came with a choice of carbs (rice, French fries, mashed potatoes, or lemon potatoes) and either a House or Greek Salad. We swapped our carbs with Grilled Vegetables as the sides, with House Salads, then added on basmati rice and lemon potatoes as additional sides. Everything was great! They gave complimentary bread slices and mezzes (hummus, eggplant-tomato mixture, and baba ganoush). The baba ganoush especially was really good on the lemon potatoes, grilled vegetables, and mixed in with the rice. Grilled vegetables consisted of green and red bell peppers and zucchini - all nicely grilled, still crisp (not overcooked), and not oily at all. Perfection. It was a very satisfying meal with great service.
