I came here with 2 other friends for dinner. This is a fusion Mexican restaurant. I ordered the salmon nogada. I was hoping to get the lobster roll but unfortunately, they were all sold out on the day. The salmon nogada portion size was somewhat small. I didn't enjoy the salmon too much. I didn't like the fact that it had the crunchy pomergranate and spiced almond. It made the texture awkward (soft vs crunchy at the same time). It also had too much sauce that overpowed the natural flavor of the salmon. The salmon was served with tortilla. The tortilla texture was not great and I know it was not freshly made. It was also not very authentic either. The tortilla was not soft and was somewhat overly dry. My friend ordered the bay scallop ceviche and I tried a bit and that was not bad. It was also not wow but it definitely tasted better than my salmon nagoda. We were also served with complimentary bread and I liked the warm bread. It was served with whipped butter. The bread was tasty but not the salmon. The restaurant is located inside Hotel X. The decor was pretty nice. The seats were comfy and the restaurant itself was very spacious.

First time visiting Rose Social located in Hotel X Toronto. Not sure because we visited in Christmas Day, hotel is very quiet and underground parking has no cars. The underground parking elevator took me directly to second floor when the restaurant located. Upon arrival, it is quite empty! We sat down quickly and ordered French Omelette and Supreme Pancakes. French Omelette with black truffle mushroom is very good in portion, except a bit lack of flavors, we have to ask for salt and pepper. The pancakes on the other hand has a wow factor! It is soft inside and crispy outside, with cream and berry sauces. Wonderful lunch for us, but don't know why it is quiet.

As a lover of pretty things, Imade reservations for their Roses Signature cocktail yesterday, and liked it! This restaurant is located in Hotel X near Lakeshore, so we had high expectations driving all the way from Markham. The food unfortunately, did not hit the spot. We ordered the lobster benny and a chopped salad. The bennies came with big chunks of lobster and tasted pretty fresh. Although the dish was designed with unique charcoal buns and crispy potatoes, we could not taste the bun because of all the butter, and the potatoes were bit at all crispy. The salad was pretty tasty but overpowered by too much red onion, and a tad too much dressing. Service was not bad, but could definitely be improved. We were greeted by a lovely hostess, but then had to wait for our server to finish playfighting with her coworkers behind the bar before i was able to make eye contact to place our order. Our water was also never refilled. Last but not least, the cocktail was pretty good. Im also intrigued by The Hip on the menu, so will definitely try that if I'm ever in the area... we do not hate the pkace, so may return after memory of this disappointing meal fades away.

I was gonna give this restaurant 3.5 stars but not sure how to do that on this app. Inside the 5 star Hotel C Toronto this is not a 5 star restaurant. When we sat down the settings were not properly arranged and I only had a knife. The staff appeared frazzled and unable to deal with the rush. I had Lobster Benny which was very good so they hit the lakes in that way but I believe I have had better.

Aesthetic and vibe 10/10, the food not the greatest unfortunately! I had actually heard about this place from some friends and decided to check it out and maybe I messed up by getting a salad but it definitely wasn't what I expected. But the drinks make up for it - try their espresso martini it was

Make reservations because by the time you're reading this, it will be difficult to get a table. There is something for everyone. Fresh seafood, fried chicken, a monster burger, or a bright watermelon salad. We went back 3 times in one week and tried 3/4 of the menu and everything is good. The staff is friendly and personable. The management is attentive and supportive. If this restaurant keeps doing what they are doing, the next time I try to go, I won't be able to get a table.

The food was a subpar to say the least. The burgers seemed under cooked and lacked flavour. The lobster roll was enjoyable. The menu is quite large and has many options to please multiple demographics. The service was awful, I acknowledge that it was a busy Saturday afternoon; however, the server did not check in on us nor did they fill our water unless called and proceeded to miss serval people's glasses at the table. The views and ambiance are very nice but they were enough to save a disappointing meal and experience.

I would not hesitate to come back, but there are some things I would definitely not order again. Not order again: - mozzarella sticks - these were not cheesy, fresh, or flavourful, huge disappointment - prosciutto and zeppole - prosciutto were not very fresh or thinly sliced, weirdly presented with the zeppole on the side Will definitely order again: - heroic dose pasta - the pasta was so fresh, great sauce and plenty of mushrooms (my favourite dish) - NYC spicy rigatoni - really good flavours and the pasta texture was perfect (also homemade) - Caesar salad - so creamy and I think they make the sauce in house bc I tasted a hint of the anchovy umami flavour The pesto pasta was pretty good too. And so were all the pizzas. I can't comment much on the pizzas because I was heavily focused on their homemade pasta. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas though. The only things that was bad were the two appetizers we got. They also offer an extensive list of drinks - beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails. I really like this spot and will definitely be back!

I came during Winterlicious so I guess the patio was closed use to the weather but otherwise would have been a very IG worthy place for photo. Ambiance is dark, romantic, but lively. Perfect for date night, celebrations, GNO and they have live band playing on Saturday's For the winterlicious menu, the portion was generous...I think it may have been full size. We got: - KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN - 6 crispy & large pieces of chicken and came with gochujang honey on the side. This was technically meant for 1 person but ended up sharing cause it was too much. Very generous on the portion size - HAMACHI CRUDO - lighter, refreshing, really enjoyed this dish - ROASTED SEA BASS - a few bones, felt a bit bland, dry, and burnt. Honestly at one point I couldn't tell if I was eating fish or beef (below) because it all tasted the same - YAKINIKU BEEF - medium rare but was quite dry and also bland, unless you mix it with the sauce they provide. - ICE CREAM COOKIE - surprisingly very good and not too sweet. Caramel, ice cream, and chocolate layer had a nice crunch. Was surprised they gave 2 instead of 1 but wondered if it was because we told them we were sharing it ?? - ASSORTED MOCHI - came with 3 pieces, strawberry and matcha. Pretty sure these were not made in house, but still enjoyable. - GUAVA NO-TINI - we both enjoyed it, no complaints! Service could've been a lot better but I think it was just my server because we got someone else towards the end of the meal and he was overall friendlier. My original server only came to take our order and ask if everything was okay. Had to flag her down a couple of times for cutlery's and she never explained the dishes, what the different sauces are, how to eat it, etc. literally brought the food over, plopped it on the table and left. She also kept cleaning the plates even though there was still food on it and we were still eating. I also made reservations through OpenTable for 7pm but when I arrived, the hostess said my reservation was for 7:45. I showed them my confirmation email that said 7pm but he brushed me off and said not to worry since they had tables available Overall, menu itself is fine, but the mains were quite disappointing for $65pp so it was a hit or miss. Service overall could've been better. The have validated parking for 3hours, but the view was my favorite.

It was crispy and cooked to perfection. The flavour was exquisite and I loved how it was gluten free. My brother in law ordered the Niku Yaki Udon and he loved his dish. He said it was really good and he enjoyed the flavour composition. We ordered 3 Drinks - 1 Red wine - 1 Sappora Beer - 2 Guava-No Tiny All of the drinks were really good. I found the Guava-No Tiny a little bit too sweet and not sour enough but it was enjoyable. The service was pretty good and the staff were very attentive. For all of the above items our bill came to $130 which was a bit higher than expected. We also had to pay $30 to park in the building bringing our grand total to $160 for the night. Would We Return? Probably not because of the high cost and high parking but if we randomly were staying at the hotel I would not hesitate to dine here again.

I arrived at around 6:30 on a recent Wednesday and the place was about half full. I snagged a spot at the end of the bar and began perusing the menu. Obviously I had to get the Bobby Burns in Manhattan ("Bourbon, Canadian Whisky, Blended Scotch, Italian Vermouth Blend, aromatic Bitters, Salted Vanilla and Drambuie. Burnt caramel with bright aromatics") and it was ready a few minutes later. It's incredible. It's right up there with the best Manhattans I've ever had, and it's sure possible it might be the best. The balance of flavors is right on point, and it's also been incorporated with other tastes that work perfectly. (I returned to Mother a few weeks later and it was just as good the second time.) I was feeling a little peckish, so I went ahead and ordered the Jerk Chicken Karaage. It arrived piping hot and was a far bigger portion than I had anticipated. I figured I'd never be able to finish it, but it was so delicious I inhaled the whole thing. For my second drink, I went with the Honey + ("100% Agave Reposado Tequila, Espadin Mezcal, Ontario Bee Pollen, Salted Lavender Honey & Fresh Citrus. Floral, Smoky & Tart"), and it was so satisfying and flavorful. (I'm all about that Manhattan, though.) Mother is a terrific place. The atmosphere is awesome and my bartender was super friendly and helpful. It deserves its place as one of the city's very best cocktail bars.

That was a great decision, as their food was some of the best I had in a while! Their jerk chicken karage was unique, flavourful, and elegantly put together. A must try! The steak dish was excellent as well, cooked perfectly, slathered with a flavorful sauce, and served with a bone marrow corn side that was unlike anything I've ever tasted. The udon noodles were good too, but the other dishes definitely shined above this one.

They only accept reservations one month in advance, and they go quite quickly. I had to book at midnight exactly one month before the date I wanted. Otherwise, there are only spots in random days at random times available. BUT I got the date and time I wanted and everything after was simple enough. They sent multiple reminders and messages before the reservation asking about allergies and such. Our table was actually ready before our time, so we arrived slightly earlier. The place isn't too difficult to find. Just follow the address and look for the eye. We got a table for two in a very cute and intimate nook, which I loved because we were celebrating my husband's birthday and it felt more special and a little bit more private than the other tables. We both got the Pastiche Signature ($95/pp), which is a blind set menu incorporating dishes from their farm, shore and garden menus. We also got the bacon and eggs and bathtub cocktails which were both super cool in presentation and true to flavour. Each dish tasted so delicious and we were so full at the end of it. We even had enough to pack home for later! Some highlights were the tartare (the best I've probably ever had), char siu octopus and sword fish. Really enjoyed my experience here and found it to be worth the price! Definitely recommend this place over some of the more expensive tasting menus I've tried.
