This restaurant focuses on seafood and canadian cuisine. It's located by the water and so dining by their patio is absolutely beautiful. I ordered the smoked salmon as an appetizer and for mains the canadian whitefish and seafood pescatore. The seafood pescatore was absolutely delicious! I loved it. The shrimp and scallops were so yummy. As for the shrimp cocktail, I've never tried it before and it's exactly what it sounds like. For the canadian whitefish, it comes with your choice of side choose from fries or rice. That was also really good! I loved the overall vibe of the restaurant and our server was so nice! I really enjoyed talking with her. As it was me and my partner's anniversary she gave us chocolate ice cream! This is definitely a great place for a romantic dinner where afterwards you can go on a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend!

Needing a little relaxation and escape from the crowds on Canada Day, we stopped at Snug Harbour for a refreshment and an app. The margarita was delicious and the coconut shrimp perfect! It's always relaxing next to the water and it is the perfect spot to refresh. The service was great as well.

This place is definitely a great addition to Port Credit waterfront and a must-go. They have great indoor dining area and their patio is spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were late for our reservation and they were very cooperative with that. We ordered cocktails and beer with some appetizers to start with."Coconut Shrimp", "Calamari", "Traditional Mussels" and "Tuscany Pizza with Chorizo with Sausage". Mussels were fresh and the white wine sauce was delicious. I definitely recommend adding the chorizo sausage to your pizza as it tastes really good. For entrée, we ordered "Fish & Chips", "Sea Scallops" and "East Coast" salmon. Our food was fresh and tasty. And we ended our night with some "Pecan Pie" and "Brownie with Ice Cream". It definitely is a nice place if you're a sea food lover and also has a great view of the Lake.

This place is definitely a hidden gem as for seafood restaurants in the greater Toronto area. The overall service here was excellent and top notch service. Even though it was very busy and crowded the wait was not too bad. The food here is very well cooked and prepared. I highly recommend this place.

After avoiding this place like the plague, I finally got to check out this iconic place by the water, Snug Harbour. I just assumed that it was a terrible restaurant and never visited! Overall, I'd describe my entire visit as "non offensive". Place was quite busy for a late Saturday lunch. Unfortunately, there wasn't a seat with a view, so I couldn't soak up the true experience to its max potential. Menu is pretty boring, re: salads, calamari, mussels, burgers, fish & chips. I believe it's the same menu all day. Nothing spectacular, no specials. Prices were average, a burger w/ fries was $20. Fries were like Costco. Fish and chips did appear to be a fluffy beer batter. There was an inordinate dollop of tartar sauce, almost as much as there was coleslaw! Food took a bit to roll out. Service was pleasant. Restaurant was fairly loud. I can only imagine this as a pretty place for date night...on an evening, when it's a bit quieter. Full menu is online, so you can check it out. Overall it was a pleasant experience, just not anything too thrilling or impressive.

    Fried calamari were very thin.

Had dinner their Saturday night and we were 8 in total. The restaurant was not full so it was good but the place was very loud! Wait staff was ok, not very friendly and a bit slow. Food was ok but a little pricey for what you got. There are better places to eat at without such a loud atmosphere.

Went back to snug harbor for a family member's birthday, they don't take reservations from July to September, but we went at 5 and got a table outside right away. They have covered outdoor seating so it was great even though it was raining, we could still enjoy seating outside. Service was great, they brought our kid's food first so they didn't have to wait. The food was delicious, especially the baked brie and blackened catfish. There is free parking right by the restaurant too, which is not common in downtown port credit. It's right by the lake you can take a nice walk after.

Dined in during the civic holiday, one of the busiest days on the Pier. The wait was long.. no tables were available on the patio and we were too large of a group. Seated close to the bar, we had a lovely server. It was my first time eating there whereas everyone in my party are regulars. I ordered the Canadian Whitefish - stuffed with black tiger shrimp, scallops, crab & oven-baked with a lobster cream sauce. It was SO rich! The fish fillet was small but the other seafood enhanced the plate. I gobbled it up. Their fish and chips looked appetizing and filling. Even the mussels; plentiful and tasty. I know where to go the next time I get a seafood craving. Service was excellent.

Great ambiance as it's by the waters with a decent view. Our server was attentive and the food came pretty quick. The oysters were fresh but a bit pricey at 3.50$ each. My favourite was the mussels in marinara sauce, portions were huge for its price and it comes with a baguette to dip. The baguette can be better , it tasted a bit stale. The fish tacos were my least favourite, the portions huge but I was expecting the fish to be fried with batter. The tortilla was a bit hard.

My mom used to take my sister and I here often when we were young kids and it was so much fun to watch the boats and the people. So for a while I've been talking to my sister about going back on a nice day and we could never make it work...until yesterday. We went and because we had my nephew who needed to eat, we ate inside since the wait for outside was 35 minutes. It's less fun eating inside but the food is still good. My brother-in-law and I shared baked Brie and shrimp cocktail to start. I got the shrimp macaroni, my sister got the chicken, my brother-in-law got the Canadian whitefish and the baby got fish and chips. Everything was good, though we agreed that I ordered best. The food here is expensive but fresh so we didn't mind. The only thing I felt was a slight waste was my sangria which was almost $12 but a lot of ice. The staff all seemed super young and weren't super attentive, but overall it was still a nice meal.

Marinara Mussels, Rainbow Trout, Canadian Whitefish, Sea Scallops

Snug Harbour has one of the best waterfront patios in the GTA. The restaurant is quite big, with a good sized covered patio (useful for rainy days or as shade on very sunny days). Service is excellent, and the food is top-notch. Their menu is seafood-heavy, and they do seafood really well here. Marinara Mussels - Decent portion (comes in a big bowl), with 4 slices of toasted bread. Rainbow Trout - One of my favourite dishes here. The rainbow trout comes in 2 big pieces, which are cooked very well (crispy at the top, well cooked inside). Sea Scallops - Big, plump, deliciously seasoned. Love the bronzed and light crust at the top. Canadian Whitefish - A bit too creamy / buttery-tasting for me, but it's stuffed with crab, scallops, and black tiger shrimps. The sides (roasted potatoes, rice, vegetables) are all really good as well. Even the Market Salad is nicely crisp, fresh, and not overly dressed (light house dressing). I like that the Market Salad comes with mushrooms, not just lettuce and tomatoes. Overall it's great value for your bucks - everything from the food and service, to the summer patio ambiance. Great meal with a view.

    Jamaican Shrimp

Food is ok and got the 3 stars, the service awesome as would be 4 stars. Sat at the bar and they put on a football game for me as the restaurant was quiet. Started with the Jamaican shrimp which was sweet & spicy and this combination did not work. Bartender told me people would complain about how spicy it was so they made it sweet. I would rework this dish completely. Clam chowder was good very different than New England style as it had carrots and bacon. Mussels were good but less big chunks of celery would have been better. I think this place is really known as it is now n the water.

Salmon Florentine. East Coast salmon filet stuffed with spinach and feta cheese, chardonnay dill sauce.
    Selina B.

Yum. Salmon Florentine stuffed with spinach and feta cheese, chardonnay dill sauce, and lightly battered Fish and Chips. This meal was better than the last we had here a few years ago (fish tacos). Decided to give it one more try and glad we did. The only thing I would change is the beet root with Cajun seasoning. (I think that's what that was). Plain sea salt would have been better. It didn't quite go and overpowered the dish. The clam chowder was also good, but I would have liked to see a few more clams. They were tiny and not many in there. I would come back and try some of the other dishes. Service was great!

Have to admit my first couple trips here were not great... it was a lot rougher place back pre-Covid and it was not uncommon for fights to break out... along with some unsavoury characters hanging out by the pool table. Fast forward to 2024 and it's a much different picture. Still very much a locals bar, but it's become a friendly regular hangout for me when in the area. Food (4/5) - I've had multiple items on the menu and tend to try the daily specials which are usually pretty good. The wings are quite good too... meaty and cooked the way you want them... especially salt and pepper. Service (4.75/5) - I get the sense this has improved significantly over time but the current dynamic duo of Ellena and Yasmin do a great job of managing the bar and floor most nights. Food orders come out quickly and they are always attentive and friendly. Ellena is the sole reason I gave this place a second chance after having a couple bad first experiences. Atmosphere (4/5) - it's your typical locals bar with a central bar, lots of TVs and the requisite pool table. SJ is unique in that they have live bands 3-4 nights a week with no cover most nights. Crowds are muted Monday to Wednesday... and then fills up on Thursdays through Sunday. After coming here a few times I had locals coming up to me saying hi and getting to know you. Not at all like those pre 2020 days. Overall (4.25/5) - I think this place got a bad rap before and probably deservedly. This is a different bar now and I would encourage people to check it out.

While I wouldn't expect a pub to have great salads, I was quite pleased with the quality and portion size of their Cobb Salad. I ordered it without any modifications, but in retrospect I think it might have been better if I switched the blue cheese (original) for feta cheese - I'm biased though. The day after, I ended up ordering their Caesar Salad over the phone, for takeout. It was great too, although the dressing could have a bit more garlic - I'm also biased on this topic :) Service was quite fast and all servers were courteous, and wearing masks. The pub also offers a lesser known, and therefore quiet back patio with a few tables and large umbrellas. And I'm not talking about the one you see right when you walk out the back door. There is another one behind that. I only found out about it when I left, but it was quite welcoming and I will consider going again to sit at the (second) back patio!
