We went on a busy Sunday so it did take us a while to find parking. The restaurant entrance faces the public parking lot so you can park and walk across the street. We got to the restaurant and were late by 30 minutes, but lunch time had already passed so there were plenty of tables available and we asked to sit in their covered patio area, which was right by the water. After being seated we ordered drinks, I got the white sangria while my friend got the red. Both were really delicious well-made drinks. For appetizers we got coconut shrimp which unfortunately was just 4 pieces, we wish there were more! We also got the arugula salad which was great! For mains, my friend got the fish tacos which tasted and smelled very fishy. She had to send them back and get fish n chips instead (no pictures). The fish and chips were a lot better she said. I ordered the blackened catfish which tasted good but not great. There were some wet uncooked spots in the fish. The rice and side veggies were also so-so without any flavors to them. Overall the food was a hit or a miss, some items were good, others not so much. But the service was pretty good, friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here next for drinks and nibbles, not for the entrees.

My friends had thier small dog with them (leashed), and dogs are welcome here on the patios. They even have doggie water bowls about. Super nice! We ordered various appetizers for the table (I remember the edamame but forget the others), and I ordered the chicken fajitas (which were a bit spicy but delicious. And wow, the portions were HUGE. I brought most of it back to my friend's house, where I was staying). So, with all these nice features, why am I giving this restaurant only three stars? Here's why: my two TO friends I dined with are very generous to me, and they always have been. (I've been close friends with one for 43 years!). They insist on getting me at the airport and dropping me off there, too. They house me in their home. They take me sightseeing and get my tickets for any shows we see. They never let me pay for anything, despite my being thier houseguest. This irks me to no end!!!! So prior to this trip, I told them they HAD to be gracious and let me pick up the tabs for meals out. And they reluctantly agreed. Thank goodness! So when we came to this restaurant, I told the hostess and our server (twice) and a woman who came to our table to see how we were doing (the manager or owner?), that I wanted to pay for the table's appetizers and we all need separate checks. (My friends earlier said they'd "let me" pay for the appetizers but not their lunch, but I could pick up dinner. They are SO problematic!). Anyhow, I told every employee at this restaurant within earshot about this arrangement, and they all told me "NO PROBLEM". And what happened? They put our whole order on ONE bill and presented the bill to my friend, who wouldn't relinquish it. WTH. WTH!! I was really REALLY unhappy with this restaurant for not following through with the bill arrangement they had agreed upon. They apologized, but wow, it was too late to change anything. I was not happy.
