My husband wanted some seafood for his birthday. I would have love to go to Toronto for more selection but my son had too much homework so decided to stay in ssauga. We ended up going to Captain's boil. It was lunchtime but it was not busy at all so we got our food quickly. We ordered the Matey's feast to share. It came with a pound of shrimp, pound of mussels, sausage, 2 small corn, Cajun fries with fried shrimp and seafood fried rice. The food was ok. We ordered medium spice but both my son and I felt it was way spicier than a medium. The fried rice was good. It came with lots of shrimp. The Cajun fries was way too spicy, it really numbs your mouth. The shrimp and mussels were quite tasty and the sauce saved the day. Would I come back here? Meh, I think I would try another place. I find it too expensive for what you get. I could get better seafood somewhere else. The birthday boy was somewhat satisfied he got some sort of seafood giving it a couple of stars for that.

    Amassing places to visit.

Food was exquisite, service Sally best waitress and ambiance very nice. They care about you all the time, they service your request faster, drink are perfect, is a places between our preferences.

Staff were nice but service was kinda slow. Food was good m, nice and hot. Environment was nice and clean

Exceeded expectations! As of June 2023, mp of snow crab legs is $37.99, dungess crab is $54.99, king crab legs is $78.99. It's a little pricey but it's worth the price, each portion was a more than 1lb, seafood is extremely fresh. Server is very friendly. My only small complaint is the sauces are too salty. Captains boil sauce was overpowering the crab, Cajun sauce was great. Also

For my niece birthday and family treat we decided to try Captain's Boil since we haven't been there before. We ordered the feast B, the quantity was ok for the price. However I gave a 4/5 sine the broccoli and the potato was over cooked. Overall everyone was happy with the meal and we enjoyed it. It was great experience trying something different. The lobster was absolutely delicious and the sausage was by far the best I ever had. Most definitely will revisit again.

I'm glad to see a newly opened Mississauga branch of Captain's Boil! My significant other who has never tried the Captain's Boil before thoroughly enjoyed it and I found the experience here stacks up (if not better) than the other locations out there. Upon walking in I loved seeing the big brightly lit SAUGA sign and the wide open space and the super massive screen by the main bar area. The food was excellent. Everything arrived piping hot and fresh. We ordered the southwest lobster roll and ordered it with cajun fries instead of the regular at no extra cost (huge kudos for that). The cajun fries were crispy and were delightfully spicy. The lobster roll itself was loaded! The butter soaked toast enclosed the cajun mayo lobster with a lot of cheese and bacon bits on top. It was a bit on the salty side with all the contributing salty components so perhaps a reduction in salt would be good. We also went with a pound of shrimp in their signature captain's sauce with two corn (best bang for your buck if you were wondering!). The shrimp was fresh and sauce was amazing. This time it wasn't salty and was a perfect balance of garlic, spice, and lemon. The corn was buttery and creamy and soaks up all the sauce nicely. Minor hiccups occurred but was understandable being a newly opened restaurant. There was a slight order mix-up as another pound of shrimp arrived after we had gotten our order and the waitress looked rather confused. Otherwise, the service was great and our main waitress was really friendly and explained the menu and recommendations thoroughly. Waiters and waitresses were definitely attentive here and handled us well! I was semi disappointed we couldn't try the sizzling plate for dinner but if the feedback is good, perhaps it could also be offered as a dinner item. Otherwise, I'll definitely be back and come in for lunch to try it! P.S. Loved the fact that all the bags here are biodegradable and are okay for the environment!

If you've never dined from here before, then prepare yourself as you'll be feasting! The Seafood is here is well seasoned and delicious. While offering different flavours, we chose their famous Cajun flavour and had shrimp, clams and snow crabs! Along with the combo came Cajun fried rice and fried shrimp. Everything is delicious!

One star for the convoluted business that it is…read more So I arrived at the restaurant to take my mom out for a fun night of Egyptian food, the restaurant occupied two commercial units thought its very unusual why they don't unify it was one unit. One side is for takeout but patrons are sitting there to dine in and the other side is for dine in, but the employees also do take out. Confusing YES. So I arrived in blindly following a line. I eventually tapped the person behind me, is this the line to get a table. He says no it's the line to order... okay. About 20min in the line I finally get the deal what everyone is doing, they order their seafood order at the front where the precious alive seafood is stored- it's like a pick what you eat counter. So I order their sangarita with a salad and yellow rice and a calamari with no sides (you save like $4 for just skipping that). After ordering she asked if I had a table?? I said no, then she comes out with seven yellow sticky notes and says there are 6 parties waiting for a table. I asked how long? Maybe 40min. She also advises me that i can put myself on the list for a table and she can hold my order up to 45min- they won't start cooking until you have a table. So I asked how long for takeout, she says 20min. Well I did my math, I waited 20min in line, and 20min for food that is not partially cooked so 40min, I can live with that. Watched the server rip the slip, and just fyi the fish was charged at $35/kg costing $60 and the calamari at 1lb was $22. She asked me to wait on the side, saw her put the slip with the raw fish and placed it ON THE FLOOR behind the counter. As I waited on the side I can see quite a number of orders piled in Rubbermaid containers on the floor. Behind the counter I can see the coats of the employees piled up next to what looks like to be the washed cutlery for table service and the employees use the same yellow rag to wipe every cutlery. I also saw employees clear the tables and return to prepare more cutlery- did they wash their hand in the kitchen??? I was then prompt to pay on their pay unit. It prompted me tip. SKIP tip for takeout. Then she tells me it's 2% charge if I pay credit card no charge for debit. So I pay debit. I waited patiently, I stood near the washroom and overheard how a male customer found a $100 bill in the washroom and handed it to the restaurant- they didn't even ask around if anyone dropped it. Then when I had waited 30min (10min past the estimated time, I asked for an update ). They assured me 10 more minutes. Then after 10min I asked again, they said 1min. And then they came out with my take out. The gave me a complimentary hummus for the slow service, but I don't think it made up for the undersized sides they served me. Just look at my pic and look at the website photo. Overall , if you have 2-3hours this is your place. THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY CHAOS! I'm questioning food stored on the floor even though it's in a Rubbermaid and then that bin placed back on the scale, touched by the gloved hands and potentially cross contaminating food. During the whole time I didn't see anyone clean or mop the floor- what if people are trekking sidewalk salt in the winter. I am really concerned. Eat dangerously here if you want. I do say the food was seasoned well but won't be returning.

To dine here is to abandon pretension at the door and embrace the primal pleasure of cracking, pulling, and diving headlong into a generously heaped platter of shellfish. The portions are commendable; there is no sense of restraint here, and the kitchen makes no apologies for it. The service, too, deserves particular note -- attentive, personable, and clearly well-versed in the menu, with staff offering recommendations that feel genuine rather than rehearsed. The atmosphere strikes an enjoyable balance between lively and welcoming, accommodating everyone from boisterous groups to families with young children with equal ease. Where Crab Boil has room to grow is in the depth and complexity of its seasoning. The foundations are sound, but the spice blends -- while pleasant -- do not yet achieve the kind of resonant, layered intensity that elevates a seafood boil from enjoyable to truly memorable. One leaves content, yet with a quiet sense that the kitchen's full potential remains just slightly untapped. A spirited and generous table -- one that rewards those who come hungry, sleeves rolled, and ready to revel.

But this place, located in a plaza on the southeast corner of Mavis & Eglinton, dispelled any negative notions I had about seafood boil restaurants. The place was very cozy, as myself and my three other lunch companions fit into a booth. We arrived right when the place opened, but soon space was getting limited as the lunch rush came to pass. And we could see why throughout our meal. We all ordered non-alcoholic mojitos first, with our choice of fruit syrup flavour; I selected pineapple. Then we each ordered our respective boil buckets; I went with shrimp and crawfish with corn and potatoes in the restaurant's namesake sauce. The servers brought the boil bags and emptied the contents onto our place, providing a dizzy aroma of spices, oil and garlic that would remain on our fingers all day. We also bought extra servings of rice to sop up the leftover sauce after our seafood was consumed. My shrimps and crawfish (which I haven't had in some time) were all finger-licking delicious, thanks to the Seau de Crabe sauce that infused every bit of meat inside the crustaceans. I would go back for future visits, seeing as how my family loves seafood, and it's not too far from our place in Mississauga!

Luckily our booth was against a wall with space to put the dishes that didn't fit on the table. Dinner service was very busy as it was difficult to flag down a server to order. Once we ordered, the meats came out very fast. I think the cuts offered at Shinta are high quality for an AYCE restaurant. Currently Shinta offers an order of free A5 wagyu with your dinner. Everyone really enjoyed the Wagyu, even my toddler! The sushi that they offer was also good. I opted to eat less sushi to fill up on the meat. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037
