    Seafood fried rice

I ordered the seafood fried rice from the Captain's Boil through a delivery app. This is not the 1st time I ordered the seafood fried rice and I always enjoyed the dish. But this time the fried rice tasted "off". Not too sure what happened.

This is my second captains boil experience and after a disappointing previous one, I was excited to try this place out. We got seated right away and ended up ordering a pound of the crawfish with lemon garlic sauce, pound of shrimp with captain boils sauce and a pound mix and match of the shrimp and clams with the boil sauce. Make sure you look at the signs for market prices to know how much it costs. The boils sauce is definitely the star here and quite addicting! It was salty with the perfect hint of spice to it. The lemon one was too salty so I won't be getting it next time. The crawfish was decent, a little pricey for the amount of meat. However, the shrimp was amazing and definitely worth the money. I would solely just get the shrimp next time. The sides were okay and quite small so definitely something you shouldn't order on its own as it was pricey. Overall a decent experience!

This is my first visit to this seafood restaurant, and i was completely satisfied with the experience. The service was extremely good, welcoming staff and very friendly. The place was very clean and it wasn't as busy though it was a weekend. I have tried the lobster with special sauce, clams with lemon pepper sauce, cajun fries and cajun fried rice, all mild heat. Every item was delicious, perfectly cooked and freshly made. I loved the cajun fries and I believe it s my favorite, we couldn't finish the fried rice with seafood, the next day it was even better. I would recommend you to give this place a try if you are into seafood, I, myself, will be visiting it soon to try other items on the menu.

We tried the Dungeness crab and lobster both in captain's sauce. Ingredients were sooo fresh but the sauce is slightly too oily and salty for my liking. Service was decent though our waitress could be more attentive. Overall a nice and fun experience. Just remember not to wear white

Where do I even start, this place is absolutely amazing, one of the best seafood places in the city, I could eat here every night, service was amazing as well, I love that everyone gets gloves and bibs to wear, just so greeat!

I appreciate the fact that they've stayed open throughout the pandemic and has continued to offer fresh seafood. Really recommend the captains boil sauce!!

The captains boil sauce with shrimp and corn and a side of Cajun fries. It was delicious!

Such a fun and different way of eating your food! Your given a bib and gloves to eat your meal, which is served inside a bag with the sauce of your choice. If anyone's ever been to The Boiling Crab in Los Angeles it's pretty comparable. If you like spicy I would recommend the 'fire' heat choice. I got medium heat and it definitely had a kick to it but not as much as I would have liked.

There are also private dining rooms for a more intimate experience. We came for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised at the food. Many of the dishes were individually served and presented nicely. As a guest at a family celebration, I didn't catch the exact price of our menu, but judging from similar ones online, I'd estimate it around $798. Before committing to a $1,000+ spread, it's worth visiting to explore the more accessible offerings. The roasted suckling pig with jellyfish is a dish of contrasts: warm, rich pork paired with cool, crunchy jellyfish. It may have been my portion, but the pork leaned slightly fatty. Still, it was moist with a delicate, crispy skin. Instead of the usual deep-fried crab claw, Queen's serves a scallop with shrimp paste. It's easier to eat with a knife and fork, and while the sauce softens the crisp exterior, it adds a savoury depth without overwhelming the seafood. The crispy salted egg yolk prawns were impressively large and well cooked. I don't usually gravitate towards salted egg yolk, finding it heavy, but here it added a pleasant richness. Since the coating sits on the shell, it's easy to control how much you get. I also appreciated the inclusion of vegetables throughout the meal. The scallops came with gai lan, while the prawns were paired with broccoli, helping balance out the richness. Swapping out the usual shark fin soup, the bird's nest soup with minced chicken and egg white was a welcomed change. The broth was thick and silky, but the minced chicken added some much-needed texture. This is a long review for the rest go to Gastro World.
