    Captain boil platter
    Jenny L.

I had the captain boils platter which is $99 and includes crab leg, corn, shrimp, potato, mussels and clams. We've order it in the signature captain boil sauce and mild spice level. The seafood came in a platter rather than baggies. We also added noodles with the captain boil sauce too. The noodles came in a bag. We ordered two! And it was $6.99 each. The seafood didn't particularly stand out to me, my favourite would be the crab legs. The noodles were okay but a bit over priced for what it was. Overall it was a good experience to check out. Eating with gloves is fun! The portion is a bit small for 4 people however.

As you see I had great intentions to take pictures but once the food came, my friend and I devoured it! We were greeted at the door in a timely manner. I am happy we came just in time as we got a booth. We ordered chicken wings and a pitcher of sangria to start the sangria was the book and the wings were hot and juice. The mix and match we got was rice, sausage, shrimp and mussels. There could have been more sauce and it was a bit salty. I wanted to try the churros but was stuffed. Will go back again though.

I went with a friend early this year, for the first time. It wasn't what I expected. I liked the prawns but the deep fried seafoods didn't taste fresh. I did love the place/decor, and our server was friendly. I'll go there again just to try a different thing on the menu.

I came on a weekday during lunch hour. It was my first experience and i truly enjoyed it with my husband. It was funnt because he was shocked the food came in a bag and you wear a bib and gloves. There is also a bin to put your garbage in. It was funny seeing bis expression. but we had a great time.. he chose the garlic flavour and it was alright..I let him try my Cajun 1lb mix chicken and shrimp and we have to agree my flavour was best. The prices are listed on a board on the wall. we had mixed half lvbs chicken and half lb shrimps. It was good for $18 that day. The service was good it was quiet when we went and honestly portions are good. we ate at 12 and were still full at 5pm. The corn is delicious I wish you got more pieces. also i had the potatoe which was nice and jucy also the rice is fluffy and white. For a fun experience I reccoment this place. try somethig new with friends. my husband and i had peel the shrimp challenge. aahaha He got better at peeling them so maybe he will help me.out in the kitchen at home more aahahaha

A couple of months ago i went to a captains boil for the first time, the food and the experience was outstanding and i had to go back. I came back to the captains boil but this time a different location. The food really is out of this world, all of the flavours are right on and give the customer the option to choose from so many different things. The customer can choose the type of meat they want between crab, muscles clams etc, the flavour if they want more of a plain flavour like a lemon or a mix of everything called captains boil lastly you can also choose the spice that you want on your meat. The food all comes in plastic backs and you east with you hands. All of the seafood was cooked very well and we loved our captains boil snow crab and our garlic muscles. The only thing that was a slight disappointment to this location was the service. The waitress was very nice don't get me wrong but wasn't really sure what was going on. She had to come over and show us the receipt to make sure she had everything we ordered and had to come back later asking us what we were missing... We only ordered 3 things. The food is really oily which makes it hard to be the only thing you eat in a night, as it goes right through your body. Overall the captains boil is a great restaurant for a night out. The food is great and so is the atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant is not very busy on weekdays which is good as the food is able to come out really quick.

This is my second Captain's Boil location visit and fourth seafood-boil type restaurant since discovering them in Toronto. It was just amazing! The Captain's seasoning, which is a combination of all of the options, is addictive. If you're so inclined you might even want to order some garlic bread and sop up some of the deliciousness! For us it's shrimps, clams, snow crabs, and lobster. In the future we'll give the king crab a try too. The lobster bisque was very good but in the presence of the intense flavor of the seafood almost tastes bland by comparison, though on its own I doubt that would be the case. A bit pricey but worth it for the occasional treat!

    Fish Teriyaki Sizzling Plate $10.95

YUMMY!! Captain's Boil has multiple locations across the GTA - this restaurant in particular is just across from Vaughan Mills. It was the perfect place for us to relax & unwind after doing some major shopping therapy! The lunch menu wasn't very big so it didn't take us long to make up our minds - we decided to go with two fish teriyaki sizzling plates (one with lemon zest mixed with black pepper and the other with roasted garlic with melted butter; both non-spicy). Our server offered us these cute bibs so they could prevent sauce from getting on our shirts. They also have these washing stations in the middle of the restaurant so you can easily wash your hands during your meal without going to far from your table. Pretty thoughtful I thought! Our food came and boy were we surprised! They came with crawfish, shrimps, clams, mussels and and fried fish as well as rice drizzled with the sauce of our choices. Not bad at all for $10.95!! I liked the lemon & black pepper the most - the lemon bought out the freshness of the seafood and the pepper added a slight kick to balance everything out nicely. Service was excellent! Our server checked in a few times with us during the meal to make sure we had everything we needed and liked our food. I will come back to try out other items on the menu!

To dine here is to abandon pretension at the door and embrace the primal pleasure of cracking, pulling, and diving headlong into a generously heaped platter of shellfish. The portions are commendable; there is no sense of restraint here, and the kitchen makes no apologies for it. The service, too, deserves particular note -- attentive, personable, and clearly well-versed in the menu, with staff offering recommendations that feel genuine rather than rehearsed. The atmosphere strikes an enjoyable balance between lively and welcoming, accommodating everyone from boisterous groups to families with young children with equal ease. Where Crab Boil has room to grow is in the depth and complexity of its seasoning. The foundations are sound, but the spice blends -- while pleasant -- do not yet achieve the kind of resonant, layered intensity that elevates a seafood boil from enjoyable to truly memorable. One leaves content, yet with a quiet sense that the kitchen's full potential remains just slightly untapped. A spirited and generous table -- one that rewards those who come hungry, sleeves rolled, and ready to revel.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

At first, the location felt a bit odd and made me wonder what to expect, but once inside, the atmosphere was actually very nice and welcoming. The owner also mentioned that they'll be moving soon to a larger location near the Etobicoke lake area, which sounds exciting. With a better location and more space, the atmosphere should be even better, and I think the restaurant will do really well. Definitely a place I'd recommend, and I'm looking forward to visiting again after they move.

One star for the convoluted business that it is…read more So I arrived at the restaurant to take my mom out for a fun night of Egyptian food, the restaurant occupied two commercial units thought its very unusual why they don't unify it was one unit. One side is for takeout but patrons are sitting there to dine in and the other side is for dine in, but the employees also do take out. Confusing YES. So I arrived in blindly following a line. I eventually tapped the person behind me, is this the line to get a table. He says no it's the line to order... okay. About 20min in the line I finally get the deal what everyone is doing, they order their seafood order at the front where the precious alive seafood is stored- it's like a pick what you eat counter. So I order their sangarita with a salad and yellow rice and a calamari with no sides (you save like $4 for just skipping that). After ordering she asked if I had a table?? I said no, then she comes out with seven yellow sticky notes and says there are 6 parties waiting for a table. I asked how long? Maybe 40min. She also advises me that i can put myself on the list for a table and she can hold my order up to 45min- they won't start cooking until you have a table. So I asked how long for takeout, she says 20min. Well I did my math, I waited 20min in line, and 20min for food that is not partially cooked so 40min, I can live with that. Watched the server rip the slip, and just fyi the fish was charged at $35/kg costing $60 and the calamari at 1lb was $22. She asked me to wait on the side, saw her put the slip with the raw fish and placed it ON THE FLOOR behind the counter. As I waited on the side I can see quite a number of orders piled in Rubbermaid containers on the floor. Behind the counter I can see the coats of the employees piled up next to what looks like to be the washed cutlery for table service and the employees use the same yellow rag to wipe every cutlery. I also saw employees clear the tables and return to prepare more cutlery- did they wash their hand in the kitchen??? I was then prompt to pay on their pay unit. It prompted me tip. SKIP tip for takeout. Then she tells me it's 2% charge if I pay credit card no charge for debit. So I pay debit. I waited patiently, I stood near the washroom and overheard how a male customer found a $100 bill in the washroom and handed it to the restaurant- they didn't even ask around if anyone dropped it. Then when I had waited 30min (10min past the estimated time, I asked for an update ). They assured me 10 more minutes. Then after 10min I asked again, they said 1min. And then they came out with my take out. The gave me a complimentary hummus for the slow service, but I don't think it made up for the undersized sides they served me. Just look at my pic and look at the website photo. Overall , if you have 2-3hours this is your place. THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY CHAOS! I'm questioning food stored on the floor even though it's in a Rubbermaid and then that bin placed back on the scale, touched by the gloved hands and potentially cross contaminating food. During the whole time I didn't see anyone clean or mop the floor- what if people are trekking sidewalk salt in the winter. I am really concerned. Eat dangerously here if you want. I do say the food was seasoned well but won't be returning.
