Dave & Buster's worked for a quick bite. My son loves the All-American Smashed Burger, and the portions are usually reasonable. We've been twice. On the first visit I had the Stacked Steak Bowl and enjoyed it. On the second, my son repeated the burger and I tried the Southwest Salmon Bowl. Ambience is sporty and seating is comfortable when it isn't crowded. I can't speak to the games since we only came to eat. Service is inconsistent. The first visit was smooth; the second time our server was largely inattentive. The menu photo promised a thick, generous cut of salmon that stretched across the bowl. What arrived was about two-thirds the size, thinner, and cut differently. The menu fish covered the bowl; mine barely covered the rice. The taste was fine, but the portion felt like a different dish from the one advertised. More cameo than entrée, if you ask me. Two stars for false advertising. The salmon was the smallest entrée I've seen. Felt like they split one piece of salmon between us and the next table. If you want to leave full, order the burger.

I go here quite often because my autistic client love to play games here. It's a fun time but it's usually pretty crowded. Half the games are often out of service, and if they're not, they break down as you're playing (especially the bowling one!) and it's hard to find an attendant to help. It's too expensive to be dealing with games that are constantly down or missing pieces (skee-ball or basketball games only having a couple balls, etc) This weekend was the first time we actually ate here. We got chicken strips with fries - can't really go wrong with that. And the Hawaiian chicken sandwich, which looked delicious and I was excited for. Except when I took my first bite, guess what! It was half raw!! I spit it out right away - no thank you!! I notified the waitress and she apologized and offered me a new one but I was already put off by this so I asked her to bring me a cheeseburger instead. There was nothing special about the cheeseburger but it was good enough to eat in its entirety. In order to make amends with the situation, I was also not expected to pay for either the chicken sandwich or the burger, so thanks for that.

3.5 star experience. I swung by the arcade again after our little coin mishap where the server charged us more coins than we needed. The prize I had my eye on, the Mario Kart plush banana peel, took a sudden hike in ticket price. It was 2000 tickets last month, or at least that's what I jotted down, but now it's sitting at 2500 tickets. That's a whopping 25% increase in just about a month! Not cool! Ended up snagging a Mario Kart turtle shell instead at the same price, which wasn't available before. Thought it could be fun to throw at my partner when he ticks me off. I remember last time when I almost had enough tickets to get the plush in my first visit after hitting a lucky jackpot. Seems like it's gonna be even tougher to redeem stuff with this ticket hike. Still got some tickets left, originally planned to grab some food with it next time, but now I'm regretting I didn't choose the Mario Kart banana peel for my home office floor decor fun. They better not hike it up again when I visit. We went again on half price Wednesday so coins for play are about half price. Not sure if it is already docked on each machine or is it calculated after I tap but most games are 4.2 coins per play. So does that mean it's normally 8.4 on a regular day? Anyway, on to the food! We ordered things we like before like the steak, salmon, and some new items to try like the cobb salad and Hawaiian sandwich. Gotta say, everything tasted pretty good. However, my partner was disappointed that they didn't give enough fries and really hindered his experience in his words "they could've given a few more fries." Because of that skimpiness (his plate look kinda empty), I think it's more a 3 star experience for him. My cobb salad was more generous so he could fill up by polishing the rest of my meal. Oh, and the Hippo machine? It's finally back in action since the last time I was here. Sure, there were a couple glitches here and there on other games, but not as many broken machines since the last time. Don't forget to take the 15% first responders/nursing/military discount on food if that applies to you.

We love going here every Wednesday for half off games. We enjoy their food too ofcourse just bigger servings would be nice.

Came here on the day of the storm. When we arrive the reception area sold the Power cards to play in the Midway. There was a lineup to purchase cards. If you are new to Dave N Busters you must purchase a power card to play games. My group purchased the multi player deal where you purchase 4 + cards at a discounted rate. $60 for 500 chips vs $75 for 550 chips if you purchase individually. There's a $3 activation fee for new cards. 7 cards and it came up to $470. Wowsers!!! The midway has games for all ages. Some games will reward tickets while the arcade games do not. I found some of the driving games are dated and need to be replaced. The classic basketball games used to have hoops that move back and forth. Looks like they replaced them with nets that are fixed position. Not as challenging but overall fun if you're a basketball fan. They also have the long distance shooting basketball game as well. There are 2 ways to order. You can scan the QR code on your table to place your order or you can wait for a server to take your order. We ordered 2 Bud light draft beer tubes 100 oz at $36.49 each. It's equivalent to 2 pitchers of beers. Glasses were chilled in freezer to keep your beer ice cold. Now for the food. We ordered 2 orders of chicken wings $15.95 + $1.99 to add fries. We got one spicy korean and one honey bourbon. Wings were breaded and tossed in the sauce. Fries, carrots and celery are served on the side with bleu cheese or ranch dip. Wings were good for sports bar and no complaints here. Fries looks to be the frozen McCain style superfries. The Korean sticky ribs were my favourite. Pork back ribs seemed to be lightly fried with spicy korean sauce, sesame seeds and green onions. Ribs were cooked perfectly and had a nice light crunchy texture. We loved it so much we ordered it again. Next dish cantina nachos $15.95 served with ancho chile chicken served with sour cream, salsa and guacamole. The chips were served in a baked tray and loaded with toppings. This was also a fan favourite as well. We also ordered the Dangerous waters island punch $12.99 which was mixture of Malibu coconut rum, blue curacoa pineapple juice, scratch sour mix and served with a slice of pineapple garnish. Great tasting drink a bit pricey but nice presentation. Overall the experience was positive. There was a short power failure due to the storm and the staff provided prompt communication regarding the situation. The games were restarted in about 10 minutes. The PA speaker was really loud and really bothered my ears. They should adjust the volume so it doesn't blow our ear drums. We spent about $800 for food and games. Very expensive outing to celebrate a birthday. We could have purchase smaller denomination power cards but we were buying them for the next visit as well. I still had about 380 chips left after playing for 2 hours. Games are half price on Wednesdays if you are looking to get the most out of your chips.

I've been to the Hoops downtown Toronto many times, but only because its closest place to get a beer during Fan Expo. The food was average at best so I didnt have high hopes for this location. We wandered in on a Friday night, and boy has it changed since The Smoke was there. There are tv's EVERYWHERE, which is pretty awesome. The place is pretty ugly though. Yeesh. Talk about drab. The staff are all very young and inexperienced, but very nice and accommodating, and got our orders perfectly. This place just opened so I'm sure it wont take long for them to feel more natural and at ease. The bar was impressive and has a great selection of liquors. This place will be perfect for anyone coming just to watch and game and have a drink. Cuz the food is not great. I ordered the special of the day, steak fajitas. They were awful. Steak was overcooked and bitter. Hard to bite through. The veggies were slimy. Yuck. My wife's chilli nachos were pretty good! Fyi there is no kid's menu, so we got our kid chicken fingers and fries. The fries were decent. The chicken fingers were bland but were cooked well and had an awesome crisp to them. But yeah bland chicken fingers. It was also drafty in there. Chilly. Not cozy. They did have a DJ there playing who was good, music gave a good vibe to the place for a Friday night. In the end this place feels like a pub from 15 years ago, when this kind of food was expected from a pub, before all the chain pubs stepped up their food game. Stick to the booze and enjoy the game, and you'll like this place. And hey the fries are good.

I saw what they have to offer front and center and it's neither the product nor the ambiance I seek: ribs, wings, a loud sports bar with big TVs everywhere, and alcohol, thus perfect for backslappers. I figured they would have something I might like to eat. Before walking over to St. Louis Bar and Grill, I had spotted fish and chips on-line. I went in, the look was true to form to what I was expecting, and was greeted and seated right away. The big TVs do dominate the locale and deal with the local religion - hockey. The resto-bar was clean. A menu was brought over quickly. The server immediately made me aware of the nightly specials. It changed what I would order. I appreciated that. I settled on a burger platter, to which I added cheese. With it, I had a root beer. (The special that night was the burger platter and one could have it with their lower cost domestic beers, or something without alcohol.) Rounding out the platter was a nice serving of fries ... the kind with the ridges ... and they were good. The platter took a while to come to the table. However, given how good it was, this didn't matter. They got it right. The final tab was to my liking. I added a tip to reflect how welcoming and good natured the service was. Note that, even though later hours are kept, the kitchen closes a little earlier. Not knowing the landscape, it then became apparent that St. Louis Bar and Grill is a chain, albeit a sports bar that would, in my opinion, channel wings and ribs from places in the U.S. Lastly, it's less than 2 large blocks from the terminus station of TTC Line 1 up at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

We ordered the BBQ grill platter with rice and four tacos to share since our visit was on a Tuesday. So, we actually didn't enjoy the tacos as much. The jerk chicken had an unexpected vinegar flavour (it was more like a chicken adobo), and the other chicken was served as popcorn chicken with spicy mayo. I was not the biggest fan, I have to say. The fish and beef tacos were better than the chicken ones, but there was nothing too special about them. The grilled platter was the hit, though--to me, grilled meat and dishes are always the signature of limitless. The meats were full of charcoal flavour. The pork chop & the skrewers were lean yet fragrant without being overly greasy (like many other restaurants). They went super well with rice. I was hoping that they would serve the raisin coleslaw tho--those were great back then, lol. I bet the Kamayan feast at Limitless would be worth a try. If you're looking for a place to subside your hunger, do not come here. If lack the physical ability to defend yourself, do not come here. And if you are a York University student looking for some late night grub, don't have a car and this was the only place open, still..do not come here! I have been here on several occasions, none of which were voluntary, and all of them during the late hours. I like to call it: 'The Hoops of York' You will never have trouble finding parking here as the enormous lot caters exclusively to its patrons at night with every other store closed. This run-on sentence concludes everything good I have to say about Hoops. Upon entrance, you are met by baseball caps, size XXL collared shirts on medium sized people, medium Tapout shirts on XXL people, students who should be studying at the Library at York instead, and clusters of Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue rejects. You will see beings of all stereotypes, and if you're lucky you might even see the waitress who is supposed to seat you. There are plenty of flat screens to keep you distracted while you endure the unbearable wait for your food. They go out of their way in promoting the wings here, and if you order anything else, I suggest you bring a Rubik's cube to keep you company. The portion of the wings & fries are generous, but once you sink your teeth in, it quickly becomes obvious that these wings have been frozen..and probably for a long time. Seriously, what on Earth do they expect you to do with all that fries?! Don't come here with more than a group of four. But if you are, I hope for your sake there's a game on, and you're planning to watch it til the end. On certain days of the week, you'll get some army guys from the armoury nearby after 10:30 at night. Whether you support the troops or not, for goodness sake do not go near them. They will start a fight with you, as they believe they own the place. But that just about goes for every click who frequent here. There is an air of tension between each table. Someone once threatened me saying that his uncle was "up there" with the Hell's Angels. So naturally I told him that my uncle was "up there" with Toronto Police, and it would be lovely if our uncles were ever to meet. It gets pretty busy at night with students who don't know how to cook, and are too good for instant noodles. They even have a DJ booth at the elevated section spinning everything I hate. The restaurant is horribly under staffed, and it appears that the bartender seconds as the manager at front of house. Its miraculous that anyone here gets their order at this place. Honestly, my Yorkie friends. Forget about taking your hot classmate here to try to inebriate her. Just do her homework instead. It's faster.
