Main St. Mocha Pie...Sweet and filling.
    Johnny W.

Not bad. Typical pub food. Calamari, bison burgers, chicken tenders, etc. Alright interior decor. Not bad service. Would recommend. Small parking area. But if you dine during peak hours or during the weekend, parking can extend throughout the rest of the plaza complex shared with Walmart, etc.

Two great desserts: Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding and Main St. Mocha Pie

Our group was seated right away at a great table by a window with views of the TVs behind the bar (great for us to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics!). We were served by Emma - such a warm and welcoming person - who made recommendations for the Bang Bang Shrimp to start, and Shrimp & Truffle Rigatoni. A manager (Justin) came by and suggested we try the Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding in addition to our go-to Main St. Mocha Pie. So happy for the suggestion - you have to try the Cinnamon Bread Bun Pudding dessert! Meant to take a photo to show you the desserts, but they went fast!!!

i actually first visited the location out in kitchener-waterloo and had a really bad experience years ago...so i was a bit uneasy about checking out the vaughan location. however, im so glad i did! and i gotta say that the vaughan location is one of my favourite go to places! we visited over the summer so they had their full menu, but w.the new covid measures they reduced the menu and took off the calamari (nooooooooo!! pls bring it back! i dont even like calamari but i enjoyed it here oh so much!!!). service is always a solid 5/5. staff and management are super polite, friendly and wore their ppe properly. the restaurant has covid safety protocols in place. 6ft between tables and/or partitions in place. bathrooms are clean too! food 5/5. throughout all our visits we have tried the baja brussel sprouts, bang bang shrimp, dragon boat lettuce wraps, both their spanako flatbread and the margherita one, fish tacos, fish n chips, veggie burger, caesar salad and the westcoast chopped salad! everything was always made to order - hot, fresh and deeeeeeelicious! drinks/cocktails 5/5 decent listing of wine and cocktails. definitely not watered down and boozey! we love state & main!

I stopped by for dinner with a friend and this location and it was definitely worth it! We ordered "The Main" burger, chicken enchiladas and the jalapeños Mac and cheese. The food was really good but the mac and cheese was easily the best dish. Our waiter was very nice and the atmosphere is great! Will definitely come back again!

Cute place to eat, the patio is really nice and not busy at all during lunch time. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and my friend got the chicken avo wrap. Quite pricey for how much food you get but overall not bad.

Kids Mac & Cheese. Best I've had!

I came here on Saint Patrick's day to score a green beer and they have a ton of beer options to choose from. Server was friendly and attentive and even offered a free green hat and glasses to add on the festivities. It's not too busy here and you'll easily get seats for Saint Patrick's Day. I think if you're huge into the holiday, you'll probably hit up Downtown. But if you want something low key and still get your green beer, this is a solid choice. We ordered the cheese burger and also the fish tacos along with some extra coleslaw. I heard the burgers are made in house and they are good and the fish taco size was quite generous and filling.

I decided to look at the menu, saw the lobster roll, and knew that I needed to order it. I love lobster rolls. I see it on a menu and I must order it. No thought required. Done! There are three COAST locations, all ghost kitchens, in the GTA. One is in downtown Toronto. Another is at the Firkin that I used to frequent at Yonge and Eglinton. The one is Vaughan is the latest addition, which is where I went last night. I placed my order through Uber Eats for pickup: - PEI lobster roll with COAST salad - Crispy COAST shrimp - Crème brûlée cheesecake - Superbowl Sunday special (free COAST fries when your order is $40 or more) The downside is that I got a general location as to where to go to pick up my food. I got to the plaza with Nations grocery store anchoring it. Where do I go next? Well, my prayers were answered when a nice person from COAST called me and said that my order was ready. He let me know that COAST is in The Moose, which is a Firkin pub. Yes, direction! I thanked him and parked closer to the pub. The Moose looks new and modern. It has patio heaters and is open for dining in, as is many eateries in York region now. I was greeted by a nice man. He asked for my order number. I showed it on my phone and he went to fetch my order. I saw this white paper bag with handles on the bar counter. He thanked me and handed it to me. I reciprocated. I could smell the fries through my mask. I was so excited and I headed over to my car. I got home and had dinner. I bought more than I could down, so I have leftovers today that I look forward to having I had a container full of salad. The PEI lobster roll was camouflaged by it. You can choose fries or salad as your side. Considering that I was going for free COAST fries, I settled for salad. I loved how much salad I got. The veggies were crisp and fresh. All I heard was my crunching on them. The salad dressing had balsamic vinegar, but it was subtle and didn't have a ton of sugar. I liked it a lot. My lobster roll was good. The lobster had generous chunks of real lobster in aioli, with chives and seasoning. Yum! The downside was the bun. The brioche bun needed to be softer and perhaps grilled more with butter. It would have made the experience nicer. It was a smaller roll than I had hoped for $20, but I had so much food that it was minor. What surprised me the most were the crispy COAST shrimp. They were super crispy. They had a bit of spice. The baby arugula balanced out the spiciness. I thoroughly enjoyed how crispy the whisper-thin batter coating each shrimp was. Perfection! I got the COAST fries on the house. The fries tasted so homemade, as if I had cut the fries myself, and someone did a better job at deep-frying them. It had Grana Padano cheese that I had never had. It tasted like parmesan, but milder. I loved it with the spicy aioli and chives. I love chives so much. I normally don't enjoy eating fries as a side, but I could do these any day. I have been good lately by not going overboard with desserts. However, I couldn't resist getting the crème brûlée cheesecake. Sadly, my slice got tossed around a tad in the container, so the pointy part of the slice was smashed. However, I ate it all, even with the whipped cream puddle next to it. I enjoyed this cheesecake slice a lot. It wasn't terribly sweet. The berry coulis on top provided a nice tartness and contrast. The crust was thin. The cheesecake was creamy and you could taste the beautiful crème brûlée flavour in each bite. It's a winner! I am eyeing the PEI lobster poutine, and COAST surf and turf burger next. I had a great experience. Prices do run steep, but it's worth treating yourself to fresh seafood and ingredients. (114)

If you compared the menu picture and actual drinks you can tell It doesn't look that great. The drink was very heavy on syrup or soda because there was no alcohol in it. I should've just gone to a chain bar to be quite honest. The vibe wasn't bad in terms of music and set up. Im quite surprised the non-alcoholic drink my girlfriend got was over $10. It's just sugar syrup! The service is pretty poor as well. Once the drinks were dropped, we never heard from our server again. The bill came and we got charged 13-15% service charge. It was a bit unfair to be paying that when the menu didn't have any disclaimers about this charge whatsoever. Sketchy bar! We were also told once we seated that we would get charge a cover fee because they were having an event later that evening. Like what?! Clubs downtown would never charge cover if its before a certain time for people who were already in and they were going to charge us after they sat us down? I came to Dou Yin Bar aka DY Bar during their Soft Opening the past Saturday. My friends and I had a great time! The live music was very entertaining. This night, the duo were singing mainly popular mandarin songs that we know. Occasionally, you will have some brave souls that will take over the mic for a song for two lol. The food is alright - Popcorn chicken and Cuttlefish balls are typical items we see during Asian karaoke lol. I say skip the Ham Egg Noodles, unless you are SUPER hungry, the noods were way too soft for my liking. The cocktail drinks are super pretty and some were quite delicious. Since it was BOGO free during Soft Opening (until Nov 10), we ordered all 10 cocktails lol. I would recommend Kimochii, Berry Lady and Snowball :) The staff hardly speaks English, so make sure you speak slowly and use simpler words. Bring a friend who can speak mandarin would be helpful. If you want one of those nice booths with white couches, the staff mentioned it is minimum spending of $300, but I'm not sure how it works if you have a larger group. Perhaps, the next UYE here?
