We went in, the lady asked us if we had reservations, we said No , so she asked if it was okay to sit by the bar which we agreed happily . The ambience is good , the bar tenders are spot on , attending to everyone, we didn't have to wait . State & Main might be known for steak & mains but we went for some more affordable dishes ranging from Royal Bangkok Bowl to their Kids Meals. The variety here reminds me of the other East-West restaurants that offer some Asian inspired dishes. While the kids' brown rice bowls were quite tasty, their rendition of pad thai above wasn't as well-balanced. Similarly the apps were hit & miss as we enjoyed the Baja Brussel Sprouts with bacon but their $9 Wednesday Wings Night featured some disappointing wings that were on the smaller & drier side despite the blue cheese & ranch sauces. And although the food was relatively mediocre, their vibes and service were quite nice and I can see why the dining area was relative packed and the bar patrons were entertained. For birthdays, they were also kind enough to give a huge ice cream cake slice. We might have to try steak & sushi combo for a full experience next time. read more

Our group was seated right away at a great table by a window with views of the TVs behind the bar (great for us to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics!). We were served by Emma - such a warm and welcoming person - who made recommendations for the Bang Bang Shrimp to start, and Shrimp & Truffle Rigatoni. A manager (Justin) came by and suggested we try the Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding in addition to our go-to Main St. Mocha Pie. i actually first visited the location out in kitchener-waterloo and had a really bad experience years ago...so i was a bit uneasy about checking out the vaughan location. however, im so glad i did! and i gotta say that the vaughan location is one of my favourite go to places! we visited over the summer so they had their full menu, but w.the new covid measures they reduced the menu and took off the calamari (nooooooooo!! pls bring it back! i dont even like calamari but i enjoyed it here oh so much!!!). service is always a solid 5/5. staff and management are super polite, friendly and wore their ppe properly. the restaurant has covid safety protocols in place. 6ft between tables and/or partitions in place. bathrooms are clean too! food 5/5. throughout all our visits we have tried the baja brussel sprouts, bang bang shrimp, dragon boat lettuce wraps, both their spanako flatbread and the margherita one, fish tacos, fish n chips, veggie burger, caesar salad and the westcoast chopped salad! everything was always made to order - hot, fresh and deeeeeeelicious! drinks/cocktails 5/5 decent listing of wine and cocktails. definitely not watered down and boozey! we love state & main! read more

be careful. there's a waitress there who doesn't give you your physical bill and just puts in a total on the machine and hands it to you. when asked to see the bill it's $10 or $20 more charged. sneaky. happened two times. once I thought was an accident. twice. obviously on purpose. make sure you see the actual paper bill before paying. read more

We reserved a table for 6 PM for five people at State and Main in Vaughan to have our family Christmas dinner with my wife's family. When we got there, they wanted to seat us in a four seater with a chair on the end next to the bathroom. We asked if they had anything else available as it was not enough space for 5, they checked and they put us in a six seater, which was half chairs and half bench.(this was suitable for my elderly 92 year old mother in law. We ordered drinks and as our waitress was serving these drinks the restaurant manager "Courtney came up to us and said they have a party reserved for these seats. She said she can move is back to the bathroom area again and extend the table. We said if you are kicking is out of our seats after we have settled in and already ordered, then you are kicking is out of the restaurant. So we left. Very poor response from Courtney as she didn't care. Didn't even get to have the food. We were so pissed off and felt so disappointed that the situation happened the way it did. read more

Multiple mistakes were made and the only reason I'm rating it 1 star is because the manager tried her best to make it right by adjusting the bill and offering free desert. Once ordering, the appetizers took long (over 20 mins), food took another 30 mins after that, and not all together. Also, there was a hair in one of the appetizers, someone who asked for no bacon on their Caesar salad due to religious belief, ended up getting bacon, as well as their new blackened chicken was horrible... more like burnt and unseasoned. Went to State and main on a Saturday night with some buddies. This place is new to Woodbridge but not new to myself. I've noticed State and Mains opening up everywhere, and recommended we give this place a shot. I ordered a burger with fries and a vodka sprite to drink (they had happy hour after 9:00pm so the vodka sprite was 4.75) and to be honest I was very impressed. The burger was very good almost reminded me of a smash burger and the fries were seasoned to perfection. It came with a dill sauce on the side that I actually enjoyed! The Server, George was able to relate to our group very well cracked a few jokes was honestly a really chill guy. Overall, we will certainly be back as we enjoyed State and Main in Woodbridge. A recommendation would be to add a DJ get the night life (Friday's and Saturday's) popping as in this particular areas of Woodbridge no other place does this currently! Well done! read more
