Beef burger with cheddar cheese and panko crusted onion rings on the side.

One of my go to burger joints. They have quite a selection of different patties. Pretty much everything you can think of, including unusual options like elk and kangaroo. I go for the basic beef burger which is nicely seasoned, but not the juiciest. To be honest, my favourite part of the meal here are the panko crusted onion rings. They are huge and always perfectly fried to provide a nice crunch. The drink menu is also nice. They offer some inexpensive beers. In terms of the atmosphere, it's comfortable, but not too fancy. It can get quite loud though.

W burger bar frfr. thursday half off apps after 9pm is an awesome deal like all the nachos below were $11. calamari / cheeseburger spring roll were alright but ill try somethin else next time. fun shots for $2.25 too.

These lunch specials are CHEAP. The drinks are CHEAPPPP. U on that 2020 new year's resolution save money? Come here LOL. Came here for lunch on a weekday and they offer 2 lunch specials: $6.99 for a beef burger and fries OR $12 for burger (veg, portobello, brisket, beef, chicken, turkey) + fries + pop. I ordered the chicken burger - it was basically an entire chicken boob... pleasantly surprised. You can choose as many toppings as you want, they have sooo many sauces to choose from! It's a very haphazardly made burger so it got very messy to eat. And the toppings and all the sauce made the bun soakeddddd so it basically fell apart a quarter of the way. All in all, it was a very average burger. Nothing special. The fries were fresh and there was a generous portion to it! Their regular menu offers more unique burgers: kangaroo, elk, etc. If that's yo thanggg

This place was a lot of fun!! I went around 4pm on Thursday to squeeze in some food and drinks before happy hour ended. I have to say we were expecting something a little more lively (we saw a TikTok advertising it) but to be fair it was 4pm lol. It, of course, got progressively busier as time passed and with that the ambiance improved. The location was cute, right off the subway to its an easy commute from wherever you're at. The inside is well air conditioned. The patio is decent, it's not very well separated from the street. The wait staffer were very friendly and helpful and the service in general was speedy and great even when it was busier. The drinks were really good (we did some shots and then the bar rail doubles since it was within happy hour). Make sure you drink plenty of water though because the shots are super sweet, definitely the recipe for a terrible hangover. The food was good, although we only really tried from the bites menu. I will be going back to try the burgers. The calamari and potato skins are very good! Definitely recommend. The place was all in all very fun!! The cheap food and drinks were definitely a huge plus.

I had dinner here with my husband and a good friend of mine with whom I used to work. Overall, the food was good, but it was way too loud in there and made catching up really difficult. My husband and I got there first, so we started off with some half fries-half sweet potato fries ($3.75) to munch on while we waited for my friend. They were hot and crispy and really good. I thought that they would separate the different types of fries, like one on each side, but they were all mixed together. Not really a big deal, but thought that I would mention it. For my main, I got the turkey burger ($9.25) on a lettuce bun. I love how they have some unusual free toppings that you can order, and lots of cool sauces too. I got sauteed onions, tomatoes, beets and alfalfa sprouts. I also got chipotle mustard and chipotle ketchup. Let me tell you, the chipotle condiments were spicy and added a nice kick to the burger. The lettuce bun was iceberg lettuce. I would have preferred it if they used Boston lettuce, but iceberg admittedly holds together better, even though it's my least favourite of all the lettuces. The turkey burger itself was well cooked and very flavourful. Not too salty, nor too fatty/greasy. Toppings were fresh and tasted well together. I found it a little pricey for just a burger, but I think these are the prices for downtown Toronto. My husband had the slider sampler ($21.99). This was a platter of 6 sliders: (I think they were) beef, brisket, kobe, bison, lamb and turkey. They came on tiny little sesame seed buns. I didn't have any, but the hubby said they were good. You can't chose the toppings on these, they come with default toppings which are different for each slider. My friend had the lamb burger ($11.75) and he added some premium toppings which they charge for, cheese ($1.75) and avocado ($2.50) and he also got the onion rings ($4.75). The onion rings were huge! Like each one was bigger than my palm. He was kind enough to give me one and it was good, but because of the size, the onion wasn't as soft as I like. The panko breading was crunchy, but I think I like regular battered onion rings better. Our server was very nice and attentive. I think his name was Anthony (he had a British accent). We were there at 6pm and I was surprised how loud the place was, considering it was still early. By around 8:30pm it had gotten unbearably loud and we had to leave because we couldn't take the noise any longer. Overall, good food, but a little pricey in my opinion, and way too loud for my taste.

unfortunately since my first visit, I would have to say that burger bar has lost a star for me due to my last two experiences. the first time the food was good and service was exceptional. I cannot say the same currently last month when I went the server was very disorganized , he assigned us all with numbers to memorize from 1-15 which is unprofessional. Having been a waiter, customers are assigned numbers but you memorize it yourself, not give the responsibility to the customer. next up he got all our orders wrong, all the burgers had random toppings in it mine had onions in it and not the sauces that I ordered. lastly, it was someone's birthday so we asked for their bill to be split and he said figure it out yourself... anyways he messed up all our bills anyways so he had to reprint them and when we asked for the birthday bill to be split again he then said yes now our recent visit was slightly better because at least we got the right items but the service was still questionable. again we went in a large group and again we were assigned numbers to memorize, I don't know if they changed the system because previously I did not have this experience. we were all missing utensils before the food was given and no water was given. When I asked her for water she said "I'll try my best". that is very strange , luckily we did get water but 20 minutes later or so. the burgers are still pretty and good and fries are amazing but the service here is bad to say the least. I

Food here is great! Love the choices for burgers and meats. Got their calamari and was so happy I did. I found the service to be a bit lacking and did take a while to be served drinks. Overall great place for burgers and beer

Looking for cheap date night? I found W Burger Bar. They had a happy hour that included 5 dollar apps. Also pitchers of PBR and Fishbowl mix drinks are 10 dollars all day. This seemed like a good idea My girlfriend and I arrived after work and there was a line. We didn't wait to long but, the restaurant was quite busy. It was a mix of college students and office types. Once we sat. We just made happy hour. I got the sliders and fries combo for 5 bucks and cheeseburger spring rolls also 5 bucks. My girlfriend got a beefy poutine. It was a traditional poutine topped up with diced hamburger patty. My cheeseburger spring roll were fantastic. Crispy and full of cheeseburger filling. The texture was more egg roll but dipping it in ketchup was delicious. The sliders were good too. The came dressed with just ketchup and mustard. It was simple but good, for 5 bucks I cannot complain. The fries were good. They were homemade shoestring and it had a nice amount of salt. My girlfriends poutine was okay, while the flavor was good, the beef added to much salt. We both agreed the shoestring fries didn't hold up to the gravy. We were pretty full but, saw a waffle and ice cream sandwich. It was quite simple but reminded me of the one you get at the CNE. It was sweet and cool ice cream outside a crusty crunchy warm waffle. Simple but delicious. My final thoughts is I would definitely return to W Burger Bar. It might be the best value for drinking and eating in the city. Good food and cheap drinks can't complain!

A really good burger joint! We all got the regular beef burger and they have a good variety of toppings to choose from! The fries were really good and my friend got that onion rings which were also very good. Very inexpensive and I would come back for another burger.

Overall, the burger was pretty good. But I fear that if I eat here too often, I'll die sooner! My burger was a little overcooked, but I really loved the complimentary condiments that W Burger Bar offered. The patty was a little bland, and could've used a little more seasoning. On the other hand, the thick-cut onion rings really blew my mind off. They were sooo delicious! I totally neglected the fries after tasting the onion rings!

It was a Thursday evening - one night I had gathered all my best girls to come join me after I was cordially invited by W Burger Bar to come try out their famous Beer Pong Tables which were a recent addition to their fine establishment. Being a curious, enthusiastic blogger, I jumped right on the invitation and made way for it into my schedule - it turned out to be one of the most fun nights I've had in awhile! I made our reservation for 8:30pm that night, and my group and I were greeted by none other than the manager, Sean himself. I had the privilege of meeting him as well during my first visit to W Burger Bar with my older cousin, who was closely acquainted to him previously (do check out my first visit to W Burger Bar also here! http://foodieutopia.blogspot.ca/2016/03/w-burger-bar.html). He was very hospitable and immediately had the beer ready for us to start our first round. He even taught us how to play (since it was really only my second time playing beer pong!) and we gradually got ourselves into the game. You can really tell that W Burger Bar catered for fun nights - the ambiance was beautifully themed, with wall art of famous rock stars against nice, red painted walls. In addition to a great interior, there were also wall mounted TVs where customers could watch some channels. I believe that night some sports channels were playing, so if you're a sports fanatic and you're looking for fun, W Burger Bar has it for you! My girlfriends and I were truly impressed. We started off quite slow, after all it was our first time in awhile trying this out! Sean was very patient though and helped us with anything we needed. Soon enough, practice made perfect, and we started making our own shots into the cups in no time! The night carried on, and with a few rounds my girlfriends and I started to really have a great time - we caught ourselves in all the excitement of playing the game, and with perfect timing, W Burger Bar came to our tables with some appetizers to eat: The appetizers were prepared very nicely - my favourite starter was probably their Beef Nachos, though the Fried Calamari and their Panko Breaded Shrimp were also delicacies which all my girlfriends enjoyed while we finished off some great rounds of beer pong. The Fried Calamari ad Panko Breaded Shrimp were new additions to the menu according to Sean - and what an addition they are! I'm sure that incoming customers to W Burger Bar will surely enjoy all these starters, as well as many of their selections at their establishment such as their burgers. Unfortunately this visit I couldn't eat one, but definitely a recommendation to all my readers here on Foodie Utopia. Making this visit to W Burger Bar was a change for me - usually I have always just gone to restaurants and ordered food. W Burger Bar offered not only the food, but the pong, the beer and all the fun I could possibly have right in the 6ix with only the greatest of company. If any of you readers are looking for fun out in the heart of downtown, do reserve a table for beer pong with W Burger Bar. For an individual like myself who certainly enjoys trying new things and exploring all the fun there has to offer - I can say with confidence that W Burger Bar will not fail to please you, and exceed your expectations in all aspects! Thank you to W Burger Bar, for inviting me to try it, it was a blast! Check out the full review here: https://foodieutopiablog.com/2016/08/15/w-burger-bar-exclusive-beer-pong/

On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point.
