Moxie is a great place to grab a happy hour drinks and bites after work. It's located really close to Union station and makes it easy for commuters to go home. After work, it gets really busy so reservations are good especially if you are dining with a couple of people. Service is good and relatively fast. The food is surprisingly good and the cocktails we ordered were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Food was fabulous, but the music is so loud you cannot hear the person sitting across the table from you.

Awesome stop. Always come here. Vindaloo was terrific. The staff is great and the menu is large. Don't hesitate stopping in.

Large bar area. Plenty of tvs and background music. Decided to sip on a rosé sangria, tart and refreshing. Service was pleasant but a bit frazzled.

The nachos kicked up with guacamole, sour cream, salsa and pieces of chicken - can you say "ole!"

Part of The Cactus Club, Joey, Earls restaurant chain, I would best describe Moxies at the lower tier of the group however the ambience and design of this Moxie was really nice and similar to an Earls. Wanting a light snack we opted for the nachos with chicken and it was huge! Tasted great and met our cravings before dinner pairing well with that Stella which I also ordered.

We arrived at Moxies without reservations and got seated fairly quick in their heated outdoor seating patio section. Some items were unavailable, but they definitely made up for it. I tried the BTS Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It was absolutely delicious paired with the Louisiana hot sauce. The chicken was indeed crispy and flavorful. The fries were crispy. We were all satisfied with the food & service.

We came here later in the night for their happy hour and the $6 classic margarita was a steal and a big big hit. We got truffle Parm fries and shrimp tacos - both really good. Our waitress Breanna was fantastic and attentive. Overall, a laid back atmosphere because we got here late. Can't wait to come back when it's a busy day and try more of their cocktails.

Our bill. $72.33 +25% tips for good service from the waitress Nat.

Nice big restaurant, clean washroom but music too loud! Ordered Beef dip, tender roast beef but au juice too salty. I asked for crispy French fries because I don't like soggy fries. The fries served were too crispy and salty. Waitress took it back and gave me a new order. Better but still too salty, although I asked no salt! Ordered Sirloin steak medium rare, came out Medium. Waitress took it back and gave us a new steak medium rare this time. The Manager came to our table and asked if we wanted a new steak. We got a new steak the way we ordered it, medium rare, but the feeling we got was the Manager really didn't want to give us a new steak if we didn't insist. For $36 a steak, I think we deserve to get what we ordered! If this happened in Keg, the Manager will apologize and gladly make it right. So why not do it with a smile and make the paying customer feel good? Turn a bad experience into a good experience. Would i go back? Maybe, but I'll insist less salt on my fries and au juice and make sure steak is medium rare!

Came here for a quick snack, had the nachos It was a tasty plate of nachos, however, quite pricy for what it was - $25 for a plate with only cheese, fresh Pico, Salsa and sour cream. To add any protein was an additional $7. I understand that with inflation prices are going up, but I left feeling a bit ripped off as it ended up being $35 with tax and tip. Music was also very loud in there, so difficult to have a conversation with friends.

Very relaxed vibes. Has that fancy yet casual element to it. The service is mediocre, not very attentive. Complimentary guac was very good but didn't come with enough chips. The shrimp tacos were good as well, but they do have quite a kick to them. If you're like me and can't handle the heat, I would suggest ordering something else. The shrimp on its own was very good though. The burger was okay, have had better. The fries were 10/10! Overall, a very cute spot for lunch before the Blue Jays game!

I always love going to this moxie's! I have tried different drinks/food everytime I am here. they have never disappointed me in terms of flavour/quality and what not. Also the the customer service is great! seems like the people that work here are always on the look out if the customers needs anything other than ordered. I am going to start with their desserts - the sticky toffee pudding is out of the world.. also i dont think i have seen that size of the bread anywhere for a dessert.. easily 3 people can manage hogging onto it. and for mains I love their thai red curry and also miso ramen.. always my go-to. smashed guac is the best with fresh salsa on the side - and the presentation is probably the highlight for this menu item. bruschetta is not bad, but definitely not ordering while sitting outside in their patio - as the bread gets quite cold quickly. coming to drinks, love their mango margarita, frozen rose is no less.. oh and regular margarita as well - overall its a great experience, been here atleast 6-7 times! always like the atmosphere

Good selection of drinks and great customer service. Fun facts: The Royal York Hotel opened in 1929. It hosted royalty, heads of state, and golden-age Hollywood legends like Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock when they were in town filming or staying upstairs in the hotel. Stepping inside is like time-traveling back decades, with velvet seating, brass accents, and dark, moody lighting. As soon as you walk into the Library Bar, the real centerpiece that grabs your attention is the massive oil portrait above the fireplace. That dignified gentleman watching you sip your drink is George Locke, the very first chief librarian of the Toronto Public Library. I love that a librarian is the patron saint of this bar! The drinks here aren't just cocktails; they're chapters in a story. The current menu, titled "Ink & Alchemy," is actually inspired by Michael Ondaatje's famous novel In the Skin of a Lion. Created by their award-winning mixologist James Grant, the menu is a tribute to the people who built this city: the immigrants, bridge-builders, thieves, and dreamers. You aren't just sipping a martini; you're drinking a liquid homage to Toronto's history.

But it was the food that blew us away I started with the Wagyu carpaccio that emma's to die for. Just perfect with the crostinis. The my wife had the avocado bowl with salmon and I had the mushroom striploin. Both meals just freaking delicious- these folks have it down to a science and the food was off the charts. Some people may disagree because it's a chain restaurant but when they hit on all cylinders, which they have every time we've been there, it's awesome. Cactus Club - highly highly recommended. Ambiance: Stunning from the moment you walk in. Despite the soaring ceilings and two-level layout, the space still feels intimate thanks to the dim, romantic lighting. We loved being seated beside each other rather than across from one another, an option I appreciated compared to the large half-moon booths in the centre of the room. Tables line the perimeter and upper level, while small trees with twinkling lights frame the booths, adding a whimsical, almost magical touch. A window displaying the cuts of steak was a fun and enticing detail. Appetizers & Mains: Every bite impressed. The seafood atop each piece of nigiri was incredibly fresh and buttery, literally melting in your mouth. The lobster mashed potatoes were an indulgent and unforgettable accompaniment to the perfectly tender steaks, which were thoughtfully presented tableside before cooking. Dessert: We saved room (and I'm so glad we did!) My cheesecake arrived beautifully plated with a candle and birthday message, while my boyfriend enjoyed the butter cake. Both were absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. Service: Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to make the evening feel special, but a heartfelt shout-out goes to our charming server, Vig. He was attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in ensuring each moment felt intentional and unique. He also shared enticing reasons to return for lunch, happy hour, and weekend brunch (options we had no idea the restaurant offered). Thoughtful Touches: From coat check, a welcome birthday cocktail, a personalized birthday card from the staff, to complimentary bubbly with dessert, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Both of us work in the area and will absolutely be spreading the word with our teams. I left feeling like a very lucky lady after such a memorable birthday celebration. We can't wait to return!

On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point. Dishes satisfy without surprising; technique is evident but inspiration, at moments, feels held in reserve. For the corporate traveller or the visitor seeking a polished, geographically convenient showcase of the city's skyline, this represents an entirely sound choice. For those seeking an experience whose flavours linger as long as the view, the kitchen has room yet to grow into its magnificent stage. Service is attentive and well-intentioned, though it can occasionally want for the depth of knowledge that elevates a good meal into a memorable one.
