Amazing experience at Red Lobster! Came here on a whim for a celebration dinner. Our server Paul was a classy gentleman, very attentive and personable. He advised us that each of the dinner choices are freshly made in their kitchen. He walked us through the menu and took his time explaining it to us. We went with the Endless Shrimp meals which were an excellent choice since they are only available for a limited time. We sampled almost all of the options, save for the newest flavour called Marry Me Shrimp. Marry Me Shrimp is shrimp in a tomato cream sauce, topped with garlic and herb crumble. Curious to try it next visit. As always the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo was a crowd favourite with shrimp tossed in creamy Alfredo sauce over linguini pasta. Rich and creamy. Walt's Favourite Shrimp is usually a favourite pick with breaded butterflied fried shrimp served with red shrimp cocktail sauce. This time the seasonings seemed a tad too salty but it was still nice, fresh and crunchy. The Garlic Shrimp turned out great as usual sautéed in a garlic and lemon butter sauce. It went well with the hot biscuits brought to our table by our friendly server. However the standout pick was the Island Coconut Shrimp, such a delicious jumbo coconut shrimp served with a zesty zinger of white piña colada dip. For dessert we had the cheesecake which is always oh so good topped with a berry compote. A sweet ending to an excellent meal. read more

Had lunch at Red Lobster, taking my family out for an early Mother's Day treat. We shared the bacon-wrapped sea scallops and escargot, and I went with Fish and Chips for myself. One of the reasons I keep coming back to this location is the service. It's just way better than the one closer to where I live, and the food here is consistently solid. Worth the extra 20-minute drive when I'm craving these classics. Scallops have definitely gotten a bit smaller over the years, but they're still pretty good. The Fish and Chips, don't judge me, I was really craving it, and I have to say it was a good call. Thick, flavorful fish with a light, crispy batter that actually stayed crispy, and the sauce paired perfectly. What I appreciate most is the consistency. It's been a few years since I last came to eat. Meeting up with old friends/colleagues, we decided to come here as they had the seafood deals. We ordered almost the exact same food, as we were all craving lobster and shrimp. I will come back for the seafood deals again, and I'm loving their garlic shrimp, still tastes so good. Came here for the $25 Endless Shrimp on Monday and really enjoyed the meal! Just like how it has always been, we were greeted with warm biscuits. There were 6 different shrimp options to choose from, and for the first round you get a choice of three along with a side, and subsequently you get to pick two. In the first order, I got the classic garlic shrimp, coconut shrimp, and decided to give their sweet chili shrimp a try. I also ended up loving their grilled shrimp which I got in the second round. Tried the $25 Endless Shrimp special and got the garlic shrimp and shrimp linguine. I wanted the coconut shrimp, but unfortunately they ran out. I found the garlic shrimp too oily and salty. But the linguine was not bad. Service was quite poor. It took quite a while before our food came out and they brought the main courses first before the appetizers. Location/Service This place has been around for as long as I remembered! It's on Sheppard Ave, a little west of Warden Ave - just a little restaurant on its own. There are some condo construction around it, hoping it's still there after the completion - but I like the place had its own dedicated parking lot - which was great to secure parking. Inside was bigger than I thought - with a lot of family sized tables and aisle seating available. COVID protocols still in place when I went - and staff were still wearing masks while working. The lightning inside was very dim, I guess to suit its ambient environment. Hostess and waiter were very nice and service was overall generally fast. Food Haven't been to a Red Lobster for over 10 years, the first thing I asked was whether they still had the biscuits and whether they were still unlimited. And they were! These biscuits are amazing! Warm when it's served to you, a little flaky once you chew in it and very buttery from how it's made. It's perfect if you are pairing it with soup or the seafood meal you have. As for my main, I ordered the Seafarer's Feast - which has a broiled Maritime lobster tail, seared sea scallops, garlic shrimp and Walt's Favourite Shrimp. Great choice in my opinion if you want to try a little bit of every seafood available. Of course you get to choose your own side, which I opted in for veggies and rice. Amazing dish - the lobster tail is portion is bigger than I thought - packed full of meat. The garlic shrimp was a little too buttery for me, but quite tasty overall. I also enjoyed the scallops that were seared to the right level - crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. A very hefty and hearty meal. Someone call 911... Red Lobster food should be on Life Support! Once you get past the rank smell of soured sourness, it's downhill from there. We had the Trio so we could get a taste of several things in on visit. The linguini was flavorless and didn't appear to have any seasoning at all. The Garlic shrimp was basically floating in some oily gook that was supposed to be garlic butter. The Walt's fried shrimp had a super dry batter devoid of any moisture, which was only edible thanks to the seafood sauce. The fries and rice were cold and already flat-lined! Biscuits were greasy and the texture was more like bread than the traditional cheddar biscuits that RL is famous for. Coconut shrimp was ok, it had ample coconut but was sadly mixed with the same dry batter. It came with a Pina Colada dip that was tasty but watery. It has been 10yrs since we ate at RL, and this visit reminded us why it had been so long. Never again On a brighter note...Lawrence our server was cheerful and is the only sign of life in that dreadful morgue. I haven't been to red lobster in quite some time but I decided to do the endless shrimp twice in the last month, and I have to admit it's not what I remember it to be. I've had the garlic shrimp, and the shrimp itself is good quality shrimp l, really it was bigger than I expected it to be, but the sauce/seasoning was really dilute. It was actually just greasy, and salty, there was a real question of where is the garlic. As for the Alfredo, it was the same, the sauce was just kinda creamy, but didn't taste like real cream, and there was a complete lack of flavour in all the dishes. I also had fries with my main, it had salt, but the fries were mushy/soggy fries. The biscuits were fresh from the oven, warm, crispy on the outside. And moist inside, but again the same problem. No flavour. I hope that red lobster can find a way to infuse the flavour back into its food... so we can go and enjoy this place like we used to read more

The endless shrimp promotion came with 4 shrimp options as well as a choice of a side. The side is a one time order so it would be a good idea to save it throughout your orders. We tried all the options but honestly weren't impressed with any. Walt's Favourite Shrimp: taste was ok, breading was heavy Island Jumbo Coconut Shrimp: we found the coconut to be too strong Handcrafted Garlic Shrimp: good but definitely get tired of the flavour after a while Grilled Shrimp Skewer: we found this a bit bland The table had a tablet which you could pay through via debit or credit. Total was $27 and came with biscuits, a side (I went fries), and unlimited shrimp! there was a few flavors to choose from: tequila Lime, waltz, garlic, sweet chili, coconut, skewer, popcorn, and linguini. The biscuits were really good and the fries not bad! but overall found the shrimp experience mediocre. It wasn't bad but I can't say I was particularly impressed either. I was able to try all the flavors and my favourites were the sweet chili and waltz. Sweet chili was a good combination of the two flavors while waltz was a fried shrimp that was a good amount of crispy (pictured). Otherwise, I found some of the other flavors sort of underwhelming. Some tips: popcorn shrimp is not worth! a lot of small fried pieces of popcorn shrimp but not particularly tasty...good to share maybe but whole portion is meh. Luigini comes with a bowl of pasta ! the shrimp otherwise doesn't have too much flavor...so wouldn't recommend to be honest but if you're really curious, save it for last because it's a bit filling. I thought garlic flavor was too garlicy while the regular skewers didn't have much flavor....the coconut and tequila Lime weren't bad! but overall thought it was good but not great. Friendly staff but the manager is a bitch!!! I order takeout as a gift for Mother's Day for my grandma. I ordered the feast that comes with lobster, crab, 2 types of shrimp, and rice. When I ordered it and asked for everything but rice. Tell me why after they made me wait 30-40 mins I get home and notice they ONLY gave me rice. I definitely should've checked the bag but I thought after 40 mins it had to be right and made to perfection. By the time I got home and realized the mistake they were already closed. Mother's Day gift ruined. So the next day I go and explain to them what happened and they make the food for me again. While I wait I order a drink. Food came out really fast this time. I asked the manager if I could have my drink on the house as compensation for all the inconvenience. I wasted my gas, my time, and not only was my Mother's Day ruined but my grandmas too as she got no gift. She told me the food was on the house. When craving seafood, Red Lobster is the go-to. I've never had a bad experience here, and this location always has the friendliest staff. The menu is always changing, but for the best. The classics remain are all year around. Red Lobster has different promotions such as, Lobsterfest (new entrées added to the menu emphasizing lobster as the main ingredient) and All You Can Eat Shrimp (shrimp served in different styles: fried, grilled, baked etc). The setting has dimmed lights, pretty casual and spacious, and remains a family environment. One of my favourite things about coming o Red Lobster is the bread biscuits they serve prior to the meal. Everyone I know loves the biscuits for their crispy exterior and soft buttery interior. first off, a table of 6 is apparently not big enough for a reservation but " not to worry, the wait time is only about 10-15min".. even though its a restaurant full of booths that seat only 4 with a handful of tables that hold more than that... fine, but after waiting for 45 min (when we were told it was a 20 min wait) we still didn't get a table. asked what the hold up was to be told that the guests had been sitting for 2 hours but still haven't left yet... so we wait, tables of 2,3,4,5 all have gone in and started their meal (apparently you can't put 2 tables together)... Alas! a table is empty! now wait for the cleaning.. after speaking to the only male front staff (I'm assuming manager - who was the one that likely told us no reso for 6 people but that the wait would be 10-15 min by the way)  about why we couldn't make a reservation his response "well even if you make a reservation, it doesn't mean you'll be seated right away" then what's the point of making the reservation?!?! .. didnt try to accommodate us, or offer us an app for the table, or a free dessert... anything to show that he gives a shit that we'd been waiting for an hour... with my 91 year old grand father by the way! fast forward another 5min.. is the table clean yet?.. oh,yeah.. so can we sit?? finally seated.. 15 min at the table and still no biscuits and  still haven't ordered... food took 40 min to come out.. food was mediocre at best (really disappointing, it used to be such a lovely restaurant with great food and great staff) with all the bad said, George is a delightful server and was an absolute delight! long story short, it's VERY clear that management could not care less about their patrons. customer service from management would be zero stars if I could give zero stars. so sad, such a waste of the good restaurant I used to know. read more

Upon arrival we were seated within 10 minutes which is always surprisingly good on a Friday evening. I got the Seaside Shrimp Trio which wasn't bad but not memorable either. A portion of the shrimp came floating in a bowl of oil which my stomach paid for the next day. The mojito I got, on the other hand, was surprisingly one of the best I've ever had. Used this location for curbside pickup as it was on my way. Service was excellent, and food was great, but we had an issue with the crab cake. Let me stress: the issue is with the menu, NOT with this location - they deserve 5 stars. I tried to send feedback to Red Lobster Canada about this issue, but their form would not allow me to submit because all fields must have "at least 2 characters" even though they all did. It's like they don't want feedback. One star is lost due to the issue below, and one for the website feedback fail. On one of the entrees, the Housemade Crab Cake with remoulade was added. When ordering online, there was no description besides the title and no image. Based on the price we had an expectation of size/quantity, but my when we got our meal home, we were disappointed to find a single crab cake smaller than a biscuit. For the $8.49 charged, there should have been three of that size, and the amount of remoulade provided suggested that same amount. Needless to say, we will be very cautious of ordering anything in the future that does not have a clear description and photo. We certainly do not recommend the crab cake. read more

Super crispy with a great tasting breading on the broccoli. Ended up getting the pre-fix menu option which was soo worth. For $21.99 the meal included a vegetable soup, a ceasar salad, a cajun chicken alfredo, and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. All the food was amazing. The staff was also amazing and super accommodating. My cousin ended up getting a full lobster which he wasn't a fan of since it was a tad over cooked and tough, so they took it back and offered another or something else. He tried the lobster tail which was the same, so he ended up just saying it was fine and he didn't want anything else. I've been coming to this location for over 20 years and the service and food have always been fantastic. We came here the other night because I had a craving for crab legs. I had the 1lb snow crab legs but instead of having the corn and red potatoes that come with the dish, I opted for the roasted mixed vegetables and a garden salad. My husband selected from a four-course special they were offering and chose cheese and broccoli soup, a caesar salad, shrimp and scallop linguine and the caramel cheesecake for dessert. Everything I've ever had at this restaurant has been delicious and tonight was no exception. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable albeit quite a bit more dimly lit than it used to be... you can still see your food, just not the person you're dining with (I kid!) and although the restaurant was relatively full, it was surprisingly quiet. Red Lobster - Seafood Near Me - Scarborough, Ontario

I haven't had Red Lobster since my first year in college. I learned there are more awesome restaurants out there than to pay $30+ dollar on entrees in a chain restaurant especially in the city. Perhaps the rest of the America is learning too which explains why Red Lobster is closing its door soon. After hearing the news that Red Lobster might be no more in the near future, we decided the cheddar by biscuits were enough to worth one last visit. We arrived around 9PM and although the restaurant was half empty, the manager came to the hostess and specifically requested her to make our party wait because the kitchen was backed up. So our party waited by the freezing entrance for a good 15 mins - not quite sure why they couldn't just seat us and perhaps allow us to order drinks. And when it was finally our turn - although my soon mother in law was in crutches hopping through the dining room and there were many available same size tables towards the front , they decided to seat us far into the back corner. (On management alone, no wonder they are closing.) The working environment seemed quite hostile. Our table could hear workers bickering over who should get which table and manager talking down to the servers. Our poor server seemed extremely anxious/nervous. From explaining the specials to pouring our water, he seemed very fidget-y. 4 of the party went with the $18 four course special (soup choices of clam chowder, broccoli + cheese, minestrone, house/Caesar salad, the Habenaro fried shrimp, 2 shrimp + scallop linguine, and chicken in mushroom sauce, dessert - 2 caramel cheese cake, (traded the last 2 desserts for 1 molten cookie a la mode), and an added side of snow crab legs. I love my share of seafood so I went with the fire grilled seafood entree (lobster tail, garlic shrimp, and scallop). Our basket of warm, buttery, fluffy biscuits was served soon after. They were much better than I last recalled (more herb, less salt)... And that was basically the highlight of our meal. Soups- the clam chowder and tortilla chicken were overly salted. The cheese and broccoli looked much more like a dip. Salad - thank goodness I asked for my dressing on the side, everyone else was drenched. Entrees - should come with a warning of hypertension - what? there are other seasonings aside from salt? someone should inform the chef. $30 dollar seafood entree, I was only able to eat the roasted veggie medley, steamed broccoli, and 2 scallops. None of us could even stomach the lobster tail. Desserts - my fiance and his brother shared the molten cookie but were quickly sweetened out. The cheesecake was your generic store bought cake. Overall a very disappointing meal. I guess I didn't miss out much the last 7 years; there are many many much better seafood restaurants out there. Also, I recently learned that you can actually buy the cheddar bay biscuit mix from the grocery store! Now I definitely don't see why anyone would want to dine in Red Lobster. I came here with my family for my mom's birthday dinner despite the not so good reviews. We created our own appetizer, the any three combination one. We chose the crispy calamari and vegetables, mozarella cheesesticks andstuffed mushrooms. The crispy calamari was so delicious and fresh tasting. The stuffed mushrooms were really good too and the melted cheese was good to dip the cheesy bread with! The mozzarella cheesesticks weren't good they tasted like something out of a package. We also ordered the red lobster signature pizza as an apetizer, it had a crispy tortilla kke crust which was delicious! I just wish they had more lobster on it but the lobster wasn't too fresh tasting. For main we shared the Fire grilled lobster, shrimp and salmon along with garlic shrimp and rice for a side. The lobster and salmon were delicious and fresh i just wish it had more flavour. The shrimp and rice that came with the main was really good. But i wouldnt order the additional garlic shrimp with rice because the shrimp in the main tasted better and they only gave a teaspoon of rice for it which was disappointing. Finally for dessert we ordered Brownie a la mode. It was my mom's birthday so i dound it sweet that they brought it with a candle and sang us happy birthday! The dessert was so good, the brownie was warm and the caramel and pecans made it more yummy as the ice cream melted over it! Gabrielle was our server she was really amazing and fast! Can I please rave about the impeccable service here? I am often disappointed with the terrible service at other restaurants. But I'm never disappointed with the service here at Red Lobster. The servers here are trained to provide good customer service and tend to our needs, making the experience even more amazing. Moving onto the food, accompanied with the complimentary cheddar biscuits. Am I the only one that is addicted to these? I limit myself to maximum of 3 but really it is good! I ordered the following: lobster artichoke and seafood dip stuffed sole w/ mashed potatoes (lunch) Maple glazed chicken Triple berry sangria Strawberry daiquiri The food arrived in a timely manner and the food arrived hot. The dip was creamy and packed with flavour. The stuffed sole was fresh and it's still one of my favourites at Red Lobster. The drinks were perfect and arrived prior to the food. After receiving the food/drinks we were approached to make sure all was good and again can I say amazing service! Come here! You won't be disappointed, at least not with the service. The wait can take awhile since they don't take reservations, it's first come first serve. read more
