Shrimp basket $17.99

Ordered for pickup for my husband's birthday. We've had positive experience before. But to our surprise, what we got was definitely not worth $120.00. The portions are just outrageously small. The cajun fries hardly had any cajun seasoning. At $8.99+tax, we got a small takeout Styro container that's not even full. So does the calamari at $16.99+tax was half the container it was before. The seafood fried rice container was also way smaller at $19.99+tax. We also got the clams with Captain Boil sauce, chicken wings and shrimp basket. Nothing was worth what we paid for. Although we like the flavors of the wings and calamari. Shrimp was ok. The seafood boil and fried rice were too salty. Overall, it was a total disappointment. Will be our last time ordering

Ordered takeout from this place after reading soooo many bad reviews and it was the total opposite. Food was great and reheated it the next day and was still fire.

Undercooked. Overpriced. Mediocre flavour. Gimmicky. Server was nice. Do yourself a favour and go to any other restaurant in the plaza.

Our new favorite place. Great seafood but horrible service during Sundays. We went during the weekdays and it is way better service.

My fav restaurant for #valentinesday…read more Baked Alaska is still my fav dessert ever, that passionfruit truly elevates the taste profile. I loved the duck confit eggs Benny! It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are very Asian fusion with things like kimchi fried rice and bi bim bap but there are also more mainstream items such as Rigatoni Alfredo with chicken and short rib Benedict. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. It was almost full for a Monday lunch.

An ordinary dining experience at Odine…read more I'm quite disappointed with the overall evening I had, from the food to the atmosphere. The restaurant is in dire need of some love and care. It's dated and old with way too much signage. The booths are covered with taped flyers denoting tons of sales and specials. If you have to slash prices in your items and advertise so aggressively your business may be doing badly. Why is there an awkwardly placed drink fridge at the front door? There's signs of damage and disrepair all across the restaurant. It's in badly need of being fixed up and renovated. The bathrooms are filthy, cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. The light switch is covered with grime. The air vent may be a fire hazard with the caked on dust. The food doesn't fair much better. It's average at best and priced too high for the lower quality of ingredients. I ordered the Maki Set which was coming apart before it got to my table. The Pad Thai tasted too sweet. The spring rolls and fresh rolls were the only two dishes I enjoyed. Savoury and delicious, and full of flavour. The only redeeming factor was the service. Friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. The servers do need a uniform though, I'm confused why one of them was wearing Adidas sweat pants. Sadly I don't think I'll be back.

We ordered a wonton soup, salmon avocado roll, beef enoki and rice. My husband really enjoyed the wonton soup. He said the wontons were filled with shrimp and chicken and he thought they were good. I ordered the beef enoki with rice as a gluten free dish and really enjoyed it. The beef enoki had a lot of flavour and they provided me with gluten free soya sauce and ginger to go with the appetizer and it tasted scrumptious and the service was pretty good. We shared the salmon avocado roll and it was really fresh and was well priced. Would we return? Possibly if passing through the area.

This restaurant was recommended to us from Naomi at Strewn Winery…read more We asked if there was a dress code as we were underdressed due to the fact we had just spent the day packing for our camping trip and driving to Canada. She assured us not to worry as the owners are very kind and it was a place you could dress up but accept casual wear as well. So off we went. Pulling in we saw it was a restaurant attached to the Orchid Hotel. And old but beautiful looking home converted to a hotel/restaurant. Once inside I saw white linen table cloths with nice stem ware and crisp white napkins and silverware. I looked at my sister and said I think we are underdressed lol. It was a Thursday around 5 pm, no reservation but it wasn't super busy yet so we were immediately seated. The host was kind, and put two tables together for our party of 5. The menu was simple which I liked. We ordered appetizers to start, the spring rolls and the crab cakes. I apologize for not taking pictures, I was tired and forgot so I'll just say they were delicious. Sidenote: I don't like seafood but one taste of the crab cake and I could have eaten both cakes myself! So very good! For the main course I ordered the Thai chicken coconut curry which had a side of rice. My hubby ordered the salmon with rice and vegetables. From the first bite we both let out yummy noises. We each took a bite of each other's food and I can say the salmon was absolutely delicious as was my curry dish. The portion sizes were great. We were both so full. My brother in law got the lamb-it looked like it was cooked perfectly and he said it was delicious. My sister got the fish and chips-it came with a couple different sauces but all she wanted was tartar sauce and ketchup. She didn't ask if they had any because she didn't want to offend the chef lol. My niece got a beautiful big salad and enjoyed it but neither enjoyed their pics as much as us other 3 did lol. The host was engaging, he explained that it's a family run business for the last 37 yrs and the last 15 years he and his brother and mother have been running it alone. His mom runs the hotel and he and his brother run the restaurant. I recommend eating here if you're ever in the area.

Captain's Boil, the formulaic chain would be the floor and the one I really enjoyed, Lobster Boil Seafood House, in North York would be the ceiling. What I'm about to say about Sea Salt would definitely leave their management a bit "salty". Unequivocally, Sea Salt sits in the deep basement of the pecking order. Sea Salt's standing was easily determined after my first spoonful of the seafood broil. The sauce was their downfall as they went overboard with the of garlic and not to mention they burnt the garlic. As the Cajun sauce is the soul of a seafood boil, their sauce literally ruined the entire dish and experience. The combo we ordered came with fried calamari and shrimp and fries. The fried calamari and shrimp lacked a bit of "salt", which is rather ironic considering the restaurant's name and neither of the sauce complimented (sweet chilli and ranch) the calamari well. The fries were what you expected it to be. But a little bit too much sauce. The one thing that I liked was you could choose to have the Turkish Salaam Cola as part of your combo drink choice. I didn't think it was all that different from regular cola, but it was nice to try. Service is quite slow here and not super attentive. We had to flag them down various times to get things that should have been provided. We weren't given enough plates to start and we had to request for bibs and disposable gloves. These are pretty standard things at other boil places. In general, the appetizers were better than the seafood boil. The portion of the combo was pretty good so we packed some of it to go. But to put things into perspective, the following day I reheated the food for lunch, and my two kids didn't even touch it (with one of them who had experienced Lobster Boil Seafood house). That tells you something!

You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don't like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!
