It sounds like they are great if you're buying a Porsche. Buy a used vehicle and everyone was really nice when I was purchasing and now I'm just being ghosted. Temp tags expired and I had to cancel a vacation as they would've expired while I was out of state. Dealer can't give me new temp tag until the original expires. Spoke with someone at the TXDMV and they couldn't see where my plates have even been applied for. The receptionist will have you speak to Finance, but I don't think anyone works in Finance. Either VM is full or they won't call you back. Guess I'm just going to have to show up there and make a scene in front of customers so they know to run. I bet I get a response saying they want to talk to me about my situation. Well I've been calling about it and leaving messages so you obviously don't care to talk to me. This is the worst dealer experience in my life and I've purchased over 25 cars and 5 motorcycles. Will NEVER do business nor recommend Porsche of Austin. Good luck!!! read more

My process for a new Porsche was big. Willing to drive anywhere in Texas and pickup. It was all about price initially. Then it was down to a couple places. Shaun Jones (sales Porsche Austin) made the experience fun and easy going. (This cut out the other price leader) Finance completed the experience (thanks Katy and Arielle) for a smooth checkout and real explanation of various options. A few year ago this dealership was horrible and would venture to Dallas Park Place or Tulsa Jackie Cooper for my major services etc. Car was fully serviced before pickup of new vehicle, detailed out and Shaun showed all the gadgets...had to cut him off to anxious to drive and have fun. This is without a doubt the worst dealership I have dealt with in my lifetime of buying cars and having them serviced. For any future Porsche purchases I will definitely go outside of market and figure out how to creatively have my car serviced without ever having to go back to this dealership. I find it impossible to get return calls, they have repeatedly serviced my car without any authorization from me for the work accomplished, and they are entirely unresponsive when trying to figure out options that don't fit within their handbook. I can't tell you how many calls are made to the service and sales desks and simply have them ignored. I do not understand how you can be in this business and not return customer calls. I exchanged a couple of emails with Nick Swenson before dropping in to the dealership on Saturday morning. Nick gave a no-nonsense comparison between a new 2017 Macan S and a used 2016. As we were also considering Audi, he offered to have an Audi Q5 at the dealership for comparison, nice touch but unnecessary when we saw the Macan. We left with the 2017 Macan S. I really appreciated the no sales pressure approach. We were able to negotiate a fair price for our trade in, without any nonsense. I would say this was the best car buying experience I have had. Also, great follow up to make sure we were happy. I'd highly recommend the Macan S and Nick. And I'm not really a car person! read more

Aldo Abad, the General Manager is a crook. After going back and forth for almost 4 months he is not standing by his word and buying my car back. Do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I have spent $10,000 on servicing a car I bought from this dealership. I bought an extended service plan and then found out the vehicle does not even qualify for a service plan because of the condition inside the engine. For 4 months I have only been able to drive about 100 miles back and forth between repair shops and test drives to see if the problem will be able to be fixed. Salesman was nice. The staff has no leadership and just sells cars, but does not stand by them. It would be much different it was a domestic car, but for the brands they sell, this dealership's cars will take your money and do nothing else. read more

This is an email I sent to the GM of Porsche Austin. After the email, the director for services called us and apologized but could not do anything except saying they will work hard to get our car back. Well, after another day, they returned our car and guess what - they did not refill our gas even though we told the gentleman who picked up the car that we expected the gas to be refilled!!! Talking about insulting to the injury! We have not had this type of experience with any other Porsche dealership elsewhere. Not sure what happened here. Disappointing! Dear Mr. Chang - I wanted to relay our frustration and poor experience with Porsche quality generally and your dealership in particular. On Friday - September 14th, while driving to a business appointment, we received an indicator of PSM problem on our ~ 4000 miles 2017 Porsche Boxster. We called your dealership and since we were nearby, were told to take the car in for an inspection. After waiting for about two hours, we were told your service department would need to have the car for a more detailed look. We informed your staff that we were planning to take the car for a weekend trip to OKC and explored if there is a loaner. Well, there was none and your staff basically told us we would need to find other way to get to OKC for the weekend. We said OK and asked for a loaner to be ready for us on Monday AM as we would then take our car back to your service department to be looked at. Well, I left for your dealership early on Monday as I had a business meeting later in the AM. About 3 miles from the dealership (our home is about 25 miles from Porsche Austin), I received a text from your service adviser informing me that there is no car available for the AM and there may be some coming back later. I then texted back and advised your adviser that I would then go home and expect to have a loaner later in the day. Nothing happened for the rest of Monday. This morning, I asked your adviser for a status and I now am informed that there is no loaner available until October! I finally agreed to have my car picked up by your staff today @ noon and asked for it to be returned to me by Thursday AM at the latest. Since I have business appointment today, I reluctantly agreed to return to my home at noon so that the car can be picked up. Mr. Chang - I can't tell you how disappointed I am with a) the quality of a Porsche car (we had a Cayman S before we got this one from your dealership) and b) the level of support (lack thereof) your dealership has on this matter. Your adviser, Sam Starkey, I am sure, tried hard to work this out but it is obvious he could not resolve this issue in a timely manner. This has caused me a huge level of frustration, inconvenience and time (including last minute getting another car for the past weekend trip to OKC). I went into Porche Austin while visiting family in July for a test drive of the Panamera 4s. Being only 20 years old, I honestly did not expect them to take me serious once they realized my age. I was wrong. JUAN CARLOS was amazing and immediately cared even when I told him I was not planning to purchase until the end of the year. He was never pushy and continued to follow up with me throughout the following months. Living in Louisiana, there are many closer dealerships to choose from, yet I was so appreciative of Juan's eagerness to help that chose to return to Porche Austin when I ordered the 4s in December. I purchased my vehicle in mid Sept. 2018. Sales guy (Robert) was great, but it is now December 2018 and I still do not have my license plates. I have spoken with the dealership several times and been given several different excuses (lies). The dealership sent me a dealer tag when the temp tag expired, but still no plates. I contacted the Texas DMV who said my tags were issued in Sept and sent to the dealership. Hmmm. Who has my tags and why am I being lied too? Still waiting on my tags which expire in Sept. 2019 according to the Texas DMV. Dishonesty is bad business. read more

We took delivery of a 2018 Panamera last September from this dealership. I had used the dealership to service our Macan starting in 2015 even though it was not purchased there. Chase Atkins was our advisor and I have had an excellent experience and found him to be thorough and easy to talk to. What I didn't like was how aloof the sales staff interacted with me. They were reluctant to discuss their automobiles or even say hello. Maybe it was because I was an African American and they thought I couldn't afford a Porsche. When we were looking for a car to replace the Macan, I did not want to go to this dealership. But I took a chance and discovered that the sales staff that had been so aloof no longer were there. The individual who helped us configure our car for build was new but was very customer service oriented. He went out of his way to make us happy. Unfortunately, he is no longer there. The person who was a real champion for us was Arielle Vaughn, the Finance/Customer Experience Manager. She patiently went through all of the paperwork and gave us some very good advice along the way. For example, I had not purchased the wheel insurance on the last four cars I had bought because I never had to use it. Arielle pointed out the number of people she had worked with who either had appreciated the wheel insurance or regretted not getting. As things would go, I have had to use it twice given the lower profile of the wheels and it was worth the investment. I am considering buying a Boxster for a weekend car within the next year and I would be hard pressed to return to the dealership except for service in the event Arielle were to leave the dealership. read more

Worst customer experience ever! The good salesmen must have been off today. I am a long time Porsche owner, on Porsche number 3 now. I came in to look at the 2018 Cayenne and the Panamera. I was there for 30 minutes and not one person made any attempt to ask if I needed help or check to see if I had any questions. My last Cayenne was purchased here so I was very surprised at the experience. Maybe it's the new management? Maybe just a bad day to buy a new car...in any case I will take my business where it is better appreciated and the sales people actually take the time to talk to you. read more

For a brand with the reputation as Porsche I'm not very impressed by this dealership. Recently went in for routine service and parts and received the worst customer service by the Parts manager that I've ever experienced (even worse than Mercedes Georgetown, and that says a lot). We were sold an inferior after-market part by them and desired to exchange for a true Porsche part. What should have been a routine transaction nearly made us walk out and never come back. Lucky for them their service manager was able to interject himself between the parts manager and salvage the situation. The dealership is very run down and in a terrible location compared to other car dealerships in town. I realize there is only one Porsche dealership so your options are limited in Austin, but I would say for the long run look elsewhere or a different brand. read more

Porsche sales/service is back! I have owned several Porsches over the past ten years and frankly in the past did not think sales and services matched the car. But that's not the case anymore. I purchased a 9ll this year, and Darren Benavides in sales was excellent. He knew his inventory and stats --with a cheerful personality and great sense of humor. It was a fun, enjoyable experience. I will seek him out to sell me my next car. I have not interfaced as much with the service department as in the past, but the couple of times I have, everyone has been prompt, professional, and on top of it. As a full fledge mechanic shop, spending upwards of $35,000/month from dealers throughout the Austin area and have nothing but fantastic reviews from my customers, we try and provide the most stress-less environment to getting your car repaired. anyways, one of our customers came in with a porsche cayenne. angel stated our part would arrive today january 4, 2017. i called the dealership and angel said the delivery date he told me was wrong and it would be in on friday, mind you i ordered the part a week ago, HE DID NOT ONCE CALL ME and let me know to tell the customer the part would be late. he then proceeded to tell me to use another dealership if i didn't like that. i called the parts manager and he stated if i didnt like their way of doing things to delete my account there. Don't Bother.... I made an appointment a month in advance to have a newly purchased Cayman S given the once over for the 80,000 mile checkup.. I took the week from work off to get this done. The Service guy wouldn't even write down what I wanted done... Just kept saying 'lets just start with an oil change'... They brought around a loaner, but my service guy sat yacking and laughing on the phone for 20 minutes before bringing me the keys, while a waited, and waited... I waited all week for a call about what work needed done, but there were no calls... Finally, after 5 days, I called and asked if it was ready to pick-up and was told that they hadn't even performed the oil change yet... Disgusted, I told them to have it ready and went and picked it up... I called the Service Manager (Steve) and told him about my experience... Blah blah blah... Too bad, so sad.. My sister bought a Cayenne from here 3 months ago, but I was treated like trash that blew in the door... read more

Visiting family in Texas when the service light on my Porsche 911 flashed on. Stopped by the nearest dealer, Porsche Austin, and was greeted by a nice young man standing outside who directed me to my service advisor, Chase. Chase thoroughly explained what service I needed and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He also explained the service was extensive and that it would take more than a day to complete. I needed transportation so the dealer set me up with a very nice Cayenne courtesy vehicle and I was on my way. Chase called me a few days later to let me know my car was ready. To my surprise the bill was actually less than the estimate. In addition, the service technician found some minor items that needed repair and those were attended to. Unfortunately, I live quite some distance from Austin - otherwise this would be my "go-to" dealer. Very friendly staff and I was impressed with Chase's knowledge of everything Porsche. Wish I could have given more stars...this was the best experience I've had with a Porsche dealer. Most are very good. Porsche Austin is exceptional. Thank you! read more
