Started out great, ended very disappointing. My experience with this dealership started out extremely positive. The salesperson was very kind, helpful, and easy to work with while we negotiated the purchase of our Cadillac Optiq. We purchased the vehicle over the phone, and my wife stopped by the dealership to see it in person. The deal was better than what other dealers were offering, including free delivery and free ceramic window tint, so we felt very good about our decision. Unfortunately, the experience changed quickly after the sale. When I called to choose the window tint percentages for the different windows, I was told the dealership had already chosen them and that I didn't have an option to change them. I wasn't happy about that, but since the tint was included at no charge, I accepted it. The next issue was the "free delivery." I assumed the vehicle would be transported on a flatbed, but instead the dealership drove the vehicle to me. Since this is a lease and mileage is important to me, I wish that had been clearly communicated before the vehicle was delivered. By the time I received it, the vehicle already had around 250 miles on it. We were excited to finally have our new Optiq and enjoy it over the weekend. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. After driving the vehicle for approximately three hours on Friday, a tire monitoring system failure appeared on the dash, and the vehicle also wouldn't charge. I immediately informed the salesperson of the problems. I took the vehicle to my local Cadillac dealer on Saturday. After several days, I finally got the vehicle back on Wednesday and was excited again to start enjoying our new vehicle, especially since it was now fully charged. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. On Friday, I discovered that the vehicle had once again failed to charge. I took it back to the dealer after work, only to find out that the needed part was on back order. At this point, my biggest complaint isn't even that the vehicle has had problems. Problems can happen with any vehicle. My biggest disappointment is the complete lack of follow-up from the dealership that sold me the vehicle. I had to contact the dealership myself to ask for help. They made one phone call on my behalf, and that was essentially the end of their involvement. Nobody followed up to see how the repair was going, whether the vehicle had been fixed, or how we were doing with our brand-new purchase. In my opinion, the dealership should have taken ownership of the situation. They could have offered to pick up the vehicle and have it repaired at their dealership. They are only about three hours away. Instead, I was left to deal with everything through my local dealer. I also asked about getting out of this vehicle and into another one, but the dealership wasn't able to offer a solution. I was ultimately directed to contact GM myself to pursue a buyback. That's extremely disappointing after choosing this dealership over others and trusting them with a significant purchase. The sales process was excellent. The salesperson was helpful and the initial deal was great. Unfortunately, customer service shouldn't end once the dealership has your money. My experience has essentially been: take my money, deliver the vehicle, and when something goes wrong, you're on your own. I would strongly encourage anyone buying a vehicle from out of state or several hours away to think about what will happen if something goes wrong after the sale. Based on my experience, I would not expect this dealership to take much responsibility for helping you once the vehicle leaves their lot. I really wanted to enjoy our new Optiq. Instead, we've spent the first weeks dealing with service problems, charging issues, a back-ordered part, and now a potential GM buyback. I'm still waiting on the back ordered part. I specifically named these gentleman because speaking with other people at this location I did not receive the same welcome which gave me a bad impression at first. I'm glad I gave them another shot and ended up meeting Derek and David who were outstanding and helped me get my Wife into a new Cadillac Escalade. Together these individuals I mentioned at the beginning gave me a decent trade-in price, a reasonable purchasing price for the new vehicle and made all the paperwork process simple and smooth. At no point was I pressured nor harassed and all my questions were always answered with honesty which goes a long way. Nobody wants to come to a dealership to argue with sales reps when they are spending their hard earned money. Customers want to be treated with dignity and respect, and not like chumps who are bidding at an auction for the approval of the dealership. For this reason, I specifically recommend Covert dealership on 183 when looking to buy a new Cadillac in Austin, Texas. I strongly suggest avoiding Covert Bee Cave because they lack transparency and have ridiculous add ons. That dealership will tell you what you want to hear while lying to your face at the same time. So if you want the same great service that I received ask for Derek McNabb or David Bislar these are the only two gentleman I will ever do business with simply because I was told by other sales people at Covert 183 I would never get a deal on any Escalade ever while out in the parking lot just browsing without even talking with their manager. Some sales people think being withholding with discounts stern on price and tuff on customers is a good sales tactic for some reason then get looked over because nobody wants to deal with that kind of person if they decide to return to buy. Don't give up or give in keep looking ask to talk to someone else till you find someone willing to see the blessing of having a potential sale. I like a sales rep who is upfront isn't afraid of going the extra mile and helping me get a great deal despite what they make on commission. That's the type of person who will go far because they aren't lying and making up excuses the first 5 min of negotiations and aren't afraid of asking question . I've always been told the worst you can hear is no and it's true and you can always move on. Never be attached to a vehicle so much that you give into something uncomfortable be flexible it will go a long way. Anyways I'm glad and blessed to have gotten the help I did. I do not know where to begin and do not want to waste my time dragging this out! I was sold a piece of junk 2020 Escalade two years ago (and I will take it on the chin for rushing the purchase). It had allot of miles on it but was told that is not allot of miles for this type of Premium vehicle. I was also sold a warranty that covered literlly a water pump and oil changes. In the 2.5 years I have owned that vehicle I have had to pump over $12k in repairs that would not get covered and every time I brought it in, they said I had several items needed to be fixed that where not covered under the warranty, of course it expired at 120K miles (how convenient). Three weeks ago I brought it in to service an engine light that came on and they told me it was going to cost $5,400 for evaporate ???? I told them I was not paying that and they had a sales manager call who said he would try to work with warranty company or get Covert to try and reduce the cost. It took him over a week to get back and answer and they said they would take $400 off, I told them that was not happening. They then went dark for several days before and I had to reach out several times to Michelle in service for an answer. They then switched me to Leticia in sales who said she would see what she could do to get me out of it and that was a disaster. She would text then go dark for several days until I had to reach out. Finally after having my vehicle for over 3 weeks, I got pissed and told them I was going to pick up my vehicle this past Saturday the 14th. When they brought out my unrepaired vehicle it looked like HELL (see pics)!! Then to add insult to injury, when I pulled out and around the other side of 183, the vehicle died in the middle of traffic and I was stuck in the middle of the road. I called Michelle at service and she at first said she could not do anything to help and that she would call a tow truck! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! I told her butt you could walk to me. She finally sent over a guy with a jumper and he could not answer a single question I had and said he would have Michelle call, which she never did. Terrible service and overly aggressive and overselling their expensive services. Long time customer, 4 vehicles, will NEVER buy from Covert again. General service visit for oil change and tire rotation, we had at least 6 points of contact to buy the car during and before the routine service, obnoxiously pushy. During the service my wife was told she needed a filter change for $80 so she agreed; she ended up with a $500+ bill for an alignment and multiple filters were changed that were not discussed. She told them that wasn't what she'd agreed to and left in tears after paying it because they'd taken advantage of her but what option do you have at that point. I had replaced the filter myself a few months ago, it definitely did not need to be replaced and an alignment had also recently been done. Crooked and abusive, I have a long term service contract and will be looking to drive to San Antonio for any warranty or services going forward. It was during COVID they backed the prior car into a pole during service appointment and kept it for a month so gave the benefit of the doubt due to Covid but this is not a place I will be giving my business again. This is our 2nd visit where we came in for routine service and had a bad experience. Last year they tried to sell us a new windshield for no reason. A salesman showed us a picture of our shattered window. Our window was fine. He showed us a windshield not ours and tried to convince us we just missed it. We insisted we get to see it. After a dog and pony show, he admitted his "mistake." We're here again for routine service. This time they washed the car and that's all. I was told that's all we were there for. After a serious death stare, I said we were not leaving without the required service. My husband is very hearing impaired and I don't hear well. BUYING PREOWNED FROM HERE IS A MISTAKE They were great until they weren't. My car started having problems a week after I got it. Had it scanned twice at 2 dif auto part stores before and after I bought a new battery and they both came back saying low voltage. The salesman asked me to bring it in before the 27th (exactly 30 days from when I bought it) so I did. Their "mechanic" said everything checked out and nothing was wrong. I begged them to look into it further but NOPE. Picked it up and went straight to O'reillys to see if all the "tests" covert did passed. they all failed. I'm at a loss for words at how UNHELPFUL this place was. Sales manager said idk who told you there was a 30 day warranty but there's not....real helpful guy...but the icing on the cake was when they said "at least it's still turning over right??" Regret isn't a powerful enough word for what I feel about this place and choosing to o business with them. I bought a fully loaded 2026 Escalade with an extended bumper to bumper warranty and since then all I have had is problems with the car and back talk from the service department. James (service department) believes it's okay to talk down to customers after the dealership broke my cargo door while it was in their care for to fix the brand new AC (how it broke so early is beyond me). They then have the nerve to tell me they are going to put me at the end of the service Que after they returned my car to me. Shouldn't I be in the front of the service Que if they broke my car??? Instead of acknowledging my point of view or frustration (which is something that is taught in customer service 101), James gave me a complete attitude, handed me my keys and literally told me to take a hike and that he was not going to help me. When I spoke to his boss Nathan, he initially understood my frustration but later began talking down to me as well as if I dont have a right to be upset that a car I have only put 3K miles on is already breaking down repeatedly and that they are responsible for breaking it more. This company will sell you a defective car and then lie about the service they will give to you when purchasing the extended warranty all to get your money. They will then break your car while it's in their service and lie about it to try and save face. If transparency matters to you, be extremely cautious with Cadillac Covert. Let me be very Clear: if they had been upfront as they claim to be, they they would have started by saying their labor cost rate is $249/hour and that my warranty company only covers $170/hour. Instead, I was told, " They're only covering half the cost", which was misleading at best. I was also told that "the mechanic is going to take some time off the job and give me a $100 discount." That turned out to be false. My warranty approved 2.8 hours of labor, and it looked like this shop tried to inflate the time. Do I know that for a fact?No-but the way things played out sure makes it seem that way. They also never mentioned they were overcharging for parts, or that they were tacking on an $85 charge for battery test after installing the battery. That was never explained upfront. In fact, a lot of important details were left out-including what actually got communicated to the warranty adjuster. Had I known the full picture, I would've stopped the work on my vehicle immediately. They claim to have highly qualified technicians, but an ASE certification for the shop just means one certified technician works there. I know you'll say your people are GM or Cadillac-certified, but that just means they specialized in those brands. That doesn't justify the lack of transparency. And here is other red flag: they waived the diagnostic fee, but that wasn't reflected in the warranty claim. Instead, the $85 battery test was added. Why? That makes no sense- unless it was a way to recoup cost without notifying me. They told me dealerships are always more expensive. That's just not true. I take my GMC truck to Covert GMC right next door, and they've actually been less expensive than independent shops I've used. So that argument doesn't hold up either. Here's the bottom line: they may not have lied, but they definitely weren't honest or upfront-and that matters just as much. Because of the way this was handled, I lost the ability to make an informed decision about where to take my vehicle. They led me to believe my warranty company was shorting me- when in reality, they were. I was angry enough yesterday to consider canceling my warranty altogether. I even took my frustration out on AJ from the warranty company, which I'm not proud of-but to his credit, he calmly explained what might really be happening. And sure enough, he was right! I'm not sure how much prepaid maintenance I have left, but once it's used up, I'll be taking my business elsewhere-and that includes Covert GMC. If this is how Covert Cadillac operates, I have no reason to trust the sister shop next door, Owen by the same people. I truly hope I never have to do business with this place again! Luckily for Covert, the car sold itself. The sales department is the worst I've ever dealt with and we've purchased from Volvo, Lincoln and Audi. The salesperson, Tyler Frank, didn't show us the car or a single feature, did not walk us to the car--he pointed to it, he didn't show us any options, have anything set up or looked over and despite having two days to get the car ready, it was missing the SD card, thus the car had no navigation. It then took over a week and a conversation with the client relationship manager to get the SD card. I had to follow up with Tyler Frank daily to check in on the SD card progress and the only reason we got it 11 days after the purchase was because of the client relationship manager getting involved. Covert wouldn't accept personal checks since we were in Houston instead of Austin despite our bank being Chase which just lead to an additional hassle, expense and headache on our part. Sadly, Covert had the car we wanted. The other two Cadillac dealerships I went to had exceptional service and customer focused salespeople. BG is a liar. You know who you are. Service department was great, 5 stars. Service advisor was fantastic! Provided excellent service. Only problem leaving a 1-star review is that the service department was top notch. Finance was honest and fast, 5 stars. My salesman BG lied to me. Had a question about my Cadillac lease agreement 3-months after the sale. BG said he was unable to find the paperwork. Claimed it had been filed away. If they had a problem with my new car, BG would have been able to find the contract in 5-minutes. Because I had a concern he didn't want to deal with it, and lied. This review only reflects BG. During Covid staff wore masks and all tables were spaced out. The place to go for a good deal, professional and friendly staff, and no bullsh*t. This is my 5th car purchase so I know what I'm talking about. We dealt with "Brian the Hawaiian" who was actually promoted to managing staff now as well as Anthony the manager. I've never appreciated a dealership more. It was pouring rain when we came in and Brian greeted us at our car with a huge umbrella to keep us dry. He brought us coffees and we discussed what we wanted to pay and the deal we wanted. Anthony popped in and gave us a deal close to what we wanted. Working with both os them was so refreshing. We came to a number we wanted together and that was it. No one pushed us or rushed us or moved us in a direction we did not want. It was fast, easy, and I would highly recommend this dealership! I traded in my car here (it was hard to give up my stingray) and I felt they even respected that process since she was my baby. My car has some information popping up on the screen and the A/C would cut out for a short time. It only happens periodically. I did get a man named Wayne and surprisingly he seemed to patiently listen through my long question. I figured okay now he is going to tell me to make an appointment to bring it into the shop. I had a warranty claim. I kept calling about the part for months. I contacted Cadillac Customer Service. They called the dealer and the part was in their warehouse sitting for months. I purchased a. Extended warranty since the repair for the part in question exceeded the miles allowed on the original warranty. The dealer found another issue. I asked if it was covered by the extended warranty. They told me rudely that I did not have an extended warranty. I provided the extended warranty information and they found it. The new issue was covered by the extended warranty; but, they had to charge me more than allotted since the extended GM warranty folks did not agree with the time allotted for the repair. The GM extended warranty folks would not assist with the issue. The GM warranty is useless if I have to pay more than allotted and is the dealer does not agree to complete the repairs for what GM allows. I only wish there was another Cadillac dealer nearby and I had not purchased this GM extended warranty. I chose a GM warranty over a cheaper non-GM warranty to avoid any issues. I was wrong. Don't go to this dealer or buy a GM extended warranty. This will be my last GM vehicle. read more

I have even left a message on the General Mangers voice mail. No one has reached back out to me. I have been a Cadillac owner for 7 years. I travel frequently and have been to dealerships for maintenance in Fl,Ca,Ma and Tx. This location is only nice and helpful when you are purchasing a vehicle. Every time I have an issue- engine light on - warning notifications- I call and I always get a hard time! Not at all the customer service I've been used to. They either can't give me an appointment or can't give me a loaner and the "take it or leave it" attitude is unreal. It seems strange that I can call San Antonio Batchelor Cadillac and I am treated like a valued customer- they tell me "bring it in" and I'm given a loaner car !! I'm not sure what the problem is at Covert Cadillac but I'm done with them. read more

Absolute Crooks. They play a price gouging game with buyers like no other dealers. I am a local in ATX, thinking they take care of their local customers but that's not the case. The dealership is a crook, they set a bait to see who will pay the most- covert It's a car not a house. Supposedly this is a family owned dealership-I guess the family is a crook trying to scam people going into the dealership and price gauging them into paying more than what it is. According to Cadillac USA- they never recommended anyone to pay over MSRP. Went in to purchase car and they want $10000 dollars over MSRP.... Total waste of time 1-1/2hrs of our time. They should just have a banner in the front saying all cars are over $10k sticker price. Do not go to any of the Covert dealerships....complete & utter crooks. read more

The service people are always trying to up sell you. They are busy talking to there colleagues and not dealing with customers. They wanted to sell me a Cadillac key duplicate for $500 The poor service is the reason I will never deal with Austin Covert Cadillac again. The Covert Cadillac service here in Austin in at the bottom of the heap in terms of customer satisfaction. I recommend that you avoid Austin Covert Cadillac and go to Houston to get any service. The sole reason they are in business is that they have a monopoly for Cadillac in Austin. read more

Do not buy a used car from them. They sold me a car with the wrong tires, brakes below the limit, the battery needed to be replaced, and and and. When I went back to them denied any and all things on the list and offered to buy it back so explored that idea and had an inspection done on the car I was going to trade for and found the same kind of issues. Things that were not disclosed and really should not be an issue at a dealer of this caliber. The staff is friendly, but the quality of their cars leave a sour taste and a lot of time and money lost as result. read more

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I live in San Antonio and wanted to ensure that the vehicle had no issues prior to taking a day off work and driving up to Austin. I called and spoke with Valentyn Shvets, I specifically asked if the 4 runner I was interested had any know issues, he assurred me it was ready to go. When I arrived the vehicle had damage on the rear drivers side as if it had been backed into a pole. Valentyn acted like it was no big deal. I asked why this information was not disclosed when I asked him, he did not have an answer. They were willing to reduce the price but were not willing to fix the vehicle. Since the damage was not disclosed in pictures, description, or when directly asked and I had driven up to find damage they agreed that it could be fixed prior to sale. Valentyn and the sales manager were willing to lower price, but were not willing to fix vehicle. This really bothered me as the website has pictures of all angles except the damaged angle (it is still posted this way as I type 4 days later). I will post the condition of the vrhicle soon. I really expected more out of a Cadillac dealership. My time and money spent to drive up and check out what I thought was a great 4 runner was wasted due to the dealership not disclosing the true condition of the vehicle and the salesman not disclosing when directly asked. read more

I made an appointment on the Covert website to get my oil changed this week. appointment was made and I got a text 5 minutes later that my appointment was all set. gave confirmation of day and time of appointment. Two hours later Melissa called and said the appointment time I requested was not available and gave me other times. I said so your website was wrong and she said website was only a request for an appointment. it didn't guarantee that appointment was available. if the appointment wasn't guaranteed why did I get a confirmation text saying my appointment was all set? Don't offer online appointments if you aren't going to honor them! read more
