I have not had a great experience with this place. This is my fourth time here, and the third time I've had a terrible experience. The first time, they couldn't find my warranty because I had purchased the car at Round Rock Honda instead of Leander Honda. They gave me issues with it over and over again. The second time I came here was fine. The third time, there was an issue where they left me without my keys and ignored me for a long time. Now, this visit is yet another service issue. I have an extended warranty that includes tire coverage and more. I came in the other day to get my oil changed and waited for two and a half hours, which was fine because I expected that. However, about 10 minutes after I left, my tire pressure light came on. I stopped to get gas, and it turned off shortly after, so I assumed it was nothing. The next day, it came back on and stayed on. I called them, and they told me I could come in anytime without an appointment. They said they would fix it, check all the tires, and that it would be a quick process. When I arrived, the staff member told me I would be there for a while, which is ridiculous considering I had already waited two and a half hours the other day and now have to wait again. I don't think it would bother me as much if this were the first issue I've had with them, but since it's clearly not, I'm very upset. I will not be returning here, and I will never purchase a car from Leander Honda. I will be going to Round Rock from now on, even though it's farther away, because the service is much better, the people are much nicer, and they don't waste your time. read more

You have to get out of your car and walk inside the building to check in. No biggie. Unlike Toyota Cedar Park and Yost II Automotive, William A. did not require me to bring my car in every 5k miles for a synthetic oil change. He said it would be closer to 7500 miles when the A or B light comes on. One is for oil and the other is for oil and cabin filter. He also said the "1" light is for tire rotation. Ms. Cat exceeded my expectations by telling my husband the truth when he called to inquire about a particular truck and she told him that it had hail damage and they were fixing it. The sales manager (Joey I think) at Honda Leander was talking poorly about my mom and I, saying "well if they don't like the offer, they can go buy somewhere else." We overheard it. He then came out and proposed a monthly payment that was double what our budget was. When I told him that wouldn't work, he said they couldn't go below $580/month and when we were walking out, he quickly changed his tune and said "oh I can go to $380/mo, no I can go to $350/mo if you sign right now." We walked out, went straight over to Hyundai, met Norman, and were very happy with paying slightly over our budget because he was a normal, nice guy. He was transparent, polite, respectful, and funny. Most importantly, he listened. I was very unimpressed with this dealership. Upon arrival, there was no greeting, no customer service, and not a single salesperson in sight. My son and I walked the lot for about 20 minutes looking at vehicles, and not one employee approached us. I'm a bit old school believe if you want to make a sale, you should at least acknowledge your potential customers. Many of the new cars also had visible hail damage, and unfortunately, they didn't have what we were looking for: a new 2025 Honda Civic hatchback. On the bright side, we didn't leave empty-handed. We headed into the city and visited First Texas Honda, where we had a completely different experience. *HONDA LEANDER SERVICE REVIEW* So I had a 9:20 am appointment at Honda yesterday to check my car for a road trip I'm taking my Ma on, new noise I've been hearing and diagnose/fix/schedule me for whatever they found. They said 4-5 hours, but 2pm rolls around and... crickets. Turns out they didn't even look at it until 2pm! I get that they're busy, but why even bother with an appointment? If the appointment is just a drop off time, say that and I would have dropped it off way earlier and planned to be carless all day. After spending almost $50 in Uber, being all day without my car when I'm slammed busy; my airbag light is still on, no marks on the tires they supposedly took off and checked my brake and suspension, and I'm missing an air cap. I noticed all of these things just walking around my car and I'm not a mechanic. I don't think they put it on the lift or even looked at it besides maybe a test drive. And that's a huge MAYBE. When I said please check everything and tell me/fix whatever needs it, I meant "please CHECK EVERYTHING and tell me/fix whatever needs it" haha. Maybe 'we checked everything' means something different at Leander Honda? They were friendly and professional upon drop off, the dog was adorable and the coffee in the waiting room was good, so no issues there. However, I left feeling extremely unconfident and worried about my car especially with a dash light still on. I adore Honda and I'm sure they do have good Techs, needless to say after this poor experience though, I'm on the hunt for a new mechanic and definitely feel like I wasted an entire day there. 10/10 would not recommend! read more

(Despite me stating I want to avoid being hassled or them taking deceptive actions if I was to come in) However, they said all they can give me is their word. I arrive 15 mins later and after waiting 30 mins the man I was on the phone with comes and and says its a higher price. That another customer is there getting it for a higher price in the store, and I asked who and then he stated "oh there on the phone". His intentions were to get me there and change the prices which is against the DTPA. I went in today hoping to make a purchase on a used vehicle. The salesman David B. was great. When it came time to look at the numbers and my offer was declined that's when I had questions. The sales manger Jerry came and spoke with me. I explained to him another dealer offered me $$$ out the door for the same car same year and milage. This is a 6 year old vehicle. I understand the car at this dealership had more features and a $1,000 more because of that. But what I couldn't understand is all "BS " he was saying about color or car, the dealership/him can't lose money on this vehicle. My service appointment here was one of the best I've ever had. Reminded me of the Honda dealership back home I frequented where everyone was so nice and thoroughly explained details about servicing my car. The technician provided a pretty detail-oriented video about my car, and my service advisor Drake was patient when I asked follow-up questions about the video so I could make an informed decision about repairing my car. I was a little bummed that this dealership didn't accept the Synchrony Car Care card when I was searching for service centers, so I initially skipped it and went somewhere else, where I had a horrible check-in experience and never even got my car checked out. Guess I should've come here initially! The only thing I would recommend is either advisors going out to check in customers like most Honda service centers I've visited or having some kind of rope/line forms here sign so customers can check in in a more orderly manner. Purchased a CarFax report for car I wanted to sell. Received: Retail ($23,970), Trade in ($20,640), Private party ($22,610) values. CarFax states they have dealerships interested in car. Top of the list: Honda Leander. Received call from Andrew Hanania requesting appointment to see car. I was very clear: 1. I was not interested in a purchasing a car (sell only) 2. Want to make sure they would honor CarFax values after they inspect the car. Andrew agreed, asked me to come in to see Skyler Scheffer. Went to see Skyler. Skyler kept pushing to use car as a trade in. I finally had to reiterate: this is a sell only, do not want another car. Skyler eventually returned with offer: $14,000 I asked why so low. His reply: we are in the business of trading cars in for other cars, not purchasing them. Prior to going to dealership, I went to their website and used the 'sell/trade" feature (which uses Kelley Blue Book and not CarFax). Received email from dealership: car qualifies for a 'dealer boost' of $1,303 due to: 1. Low miles 2. Color 3. Good Condition. When I asked Skyler about their 'dealer boost', he had no clue what I was talking about. Showed him email from his dealership, he said he knows nothing about that, his offer was best he can do. I'm glad I no longer have a Honda to take here. It was not a pleasurable experience taking my car here. Often times they missed something on the first diagnostic, and I had to come back for the same problem. Having an older car shouldn't be an excuse why people aren't familiar with certain vehicular issues. I had a horrible start to my day yesterday that the service team, mainly Andre, was able to completely turn around! Long story short, I had a botched oil change on my '22 Civic that ended up losing all its oil overnight in my garage. I called at 8 AM before the dealership even opened, and a lovely lady answered, booked a service appointment immediately, and even gave me a phone number for a trusted local towing company. Service was quick, professional, and they gave me a very detailed diagnosis of what the previous oil change location (Express Oil Change in Cedar Park) did incorrectly. They even took a video of the service to give me as a reference, as well as detailed notes I would need to get reimbursed by Express Oil. Andre was a standout gentleman with an AWESOME attitude. He totally turned my day around. In this day and age, people like him are true gems. I bought a used car for my 16 year old this week. The sales process was rough, but I worked with the General Manager yesterday to sort things out and I am satisfied with how he handled everything. My review today is for the service I received after the sale from Greg Martin (Service Manager) and Aaron Hargrove (General Manager). I bought the vehicle on Wednesday and discovered Thursday morning that it had a bad battery. I showed up at the service department absolutely livid. Greg greeted me and I told him right off the bat that I was very upset and not to take any of it personally. He listened to my issues and concerns and said yes, he can help me. He stayed calm, which helped me calm down. He had the battery replaced, the oil changed, and took care of some other work that had been flagged as needing to be done but didn't get done before I bought the vehicle. All at no cost to me. He also hooked me up with a loaner so I didn't have to stay at the dealership. While I was waiting on the vehicle, I reached out to Aaron Hargove to share my experience with the sales process. He responded quickly, and by the time my car was ready to be picked up, everything was sorted out. This was my first time buying a used car through a dealership. My take away is to ask to see the service records that show what was done to the vehicle and anything that was flagged but had not been remedied yet. Purchased a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT; that was my first mistake since they have various issues. We purchased the van right at a year and had issues with it. We put less than 8,000 miles on it (installed a backup camera; had to replace one of the sliding doors; rear brakes done; 1 new tire; key fob because dealership was to cheap to provide a second one; and had to replace a major part). We took it back in to trade and was offered $2,500, highly insulting. Don't recommend. This place is only interested in squeezing as much money as possible out of you. For a brand new dealer they don't seem to have an interest in building a customer base. We bought a new HR-V there about 6 months ago. It was the worst time to buy a car, so I just took in the shorts when they over charged me $4K over sticker price. Their reason was it included floor mats & paint sealant. We gave them the benefit of doubt due to the market at the time. My wife took the vehicle there for it's first oil change & tire rotation. $110 later!! My Ram 1500 was less than $100 for the same service at our old dealer and takes double the oil. I came in on Wednesday after verifying on the phone they had new Accords on the lot I could take for a test drive. After arriving they got me in one pretty quickly, and my sales consultant Gregory was very friendly and accommodating, letting me poke around the different vehicles, and patiently accompanying me through three test drives, while pointing out the features in the vehicle that I had not encountered in previous cars. And since I did quite like the Accord, I ended up leaving in it, but never felt like I was pressured to just for having come in for the test drive. And to his further credit Gregory kept me hydrated and informed while finalizing the sale, and even gave the car a quick wipe for me before I was on my way. But it was still quite clear I was working with a car dealership. First, Honda Leander lists an MSRP for each vehicle on the website adding only sales tax and doc fee in the first few clicks for online purchase. However, on the lot, every vehicle jumps a "dealer added" $1400, which I was told was non negotiable for Penske Automotive. Expected in the current market or not (even with the price bump I could not get the same vehicle elsewhere), I won't give five stars to a store engaging in bait and switch. Second, I was trading in a vehicle for this purchase, and the website advertises they'll pay KBB value. The first number they put in front of me, making waves at some things on a Carfax, was WELL below KBB. The second number which I took somewhat for expediency, was fair in context, but certainly not great, and probably not 'good' either, so I can't call that five stars from the customer point of view either. Also in retrospect: I asked coming in to drive the 2022 Accord. They took me to a 2021 without mentioning the switch. I pointed it out on seeing the sheet in the window, and asked (at least twice) if they happened to have the 2022 in that color on the lot. To cut the story short, while I did end leaving with that 2021, after they assured me my warranty would start from day of sale, verified no miles on the odometer, and let me know there was a $500 bump for 2022 models, and prior research told me there had been no refresh of the Accord between 2021 and 2022 anyway, I'm realizing they never actually answered the question. Now I'm seeing the 2022 in that color on the website and feel like, akin to the "Dealer added"s, they were pushing to get that mismatched year off their lot, again to their benefit and not necessarily to mine. They sent me a 'how's it going text?' the following day, which seemed a nice gesture. I have no complaints about the car itself, but there was a plastic protection sticker on the gear letters I had been having trouble with, so I randomly asked for tips. I got the odd answer that it probably couldn't be removed, but they'd ask detail. Hours later there had been no further message, but I got the sticker up with a plastic card probably thanks to the heating of the sun. It's small, but leaves me with some question about service at this early point in time. Overall a solid 3 stars. I'm happy with the car, and reasonably comfortable with the purchase overall, and I would test drive with Gregory again. But if buying in a different world where my decision isn't being driven by who has new vehicles on the lot, while I'd at least stop by Honda Leander, I would definitely be shopping around as well. read more

By far and away the WORST experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle new or used. The sales process was the most rigid, unfriendly and overall hard to work with and made the entire experience way more difficult and challenging than necessary. This dealership went above and beyond to make us jump through their hoops and play their silly used car games all of which led to an unproductive and unsatisfying buying experience. Had my daughter not loved the car we would have walked away 3 different times due to their games and shady tactics. Please save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that will treat you with respect and like a customer they care about and want to keep for life. The paint protection fee gimmick is a real thing they put on every car they sell so be ready for that and push for them to remove it or roll it in to the price for free since you did not ask for it. Please read the many, many 1 star reviews and take note as they appear to be teaching their sales people this old style "used car salesman" methodology. UPDATE - Met with the General Sales Manager Art who took the time to listen, accept and own the feedback mentioned above as well as other details. I was encouraged by his commitment to address the issues through training and look for ways to make the process less rigid and easier overall. He acknowledged areas of opportunity at the dealership including sales people and processes some of which are Penske operating procedures. Yeah, if you don't know any better!! Not only that they dropped it to "cost" $197, which means they mark it up 253% for unsuspecting shoppers!! Wow, that's big "coconuts".
