So, I went in on the 02/25/2025 with my Mini Cooper S 2017 and was going in because I had coolant kept leaking wanted to get it checked out by these guys at Luxury Auto Works because Express Oil Change and Tires right down the road recommended them because they were busy, I regret now not waiting at Express Oil Change and Tires because it is now 3/11/2025 and I have got no repairs done on my vehicle. But I will say they did get approved for everything but my coolant leak that I came in for such as Engine/Motor Mount (Part/Labor), Coolant Recovery Container/ Expansion Tank (Parts/Labor), Crankshaft Seal (Front) (Parts/Labor). They said the main problem which I came in with the coolant leak was from the Oil Filter Housing which was going to cost 2,000$ plus an extra 563$ which was for the Expansion Tank Hoses plus Labor for it am guessing but yes, I Don't Recommend this Auto Repair & Service Company specially if you are going to use Extended Warranty. read more

Please don't frequent this place. I got an estimate for some work and decided to go elsewhere because the estimate was high. Although this should be normal (customers getting an estimate and deciding not to use the place that gave the estimate), the idea that someone would decline their service to go elsewhere seems like a new concept to them. These are my go to guys for maintenance needs on my luxury cars. Recently bought a 911 site unseen from out of state, and despite the official Porsche dealership inspection it came with a handful of issues that were missed and were rather annoying to deal with. Wheels that were out of alignment causing steering wheel vibration, a mysterious rattling noise in the back, an issue with a window. The team was able to quickly diagnose the issues and get the car into a proper state without too much hassle. I'd dock a half point for their loaner fleet, not the best. Other than that I enjoy having a local option in Cedar Park to get my car needs addressed without paying an arm and a leg at the local dealerships. Would recommend! read more

These car mechanics specialize in the repair of imports. We had a tiny experience with them a couple months ago when my we put a new battery in the 2009 BMW X5. At that time I'd had the car a couple months. Have you ever bought something that you just fell in love with, when you drove it it and it was one of the most comfortable and safe feeling Vehicles you had ever been in? Well that is why I bought a used it. Turns out it was a $10,000 mistake. Back to Luxury Auto Works ...in a BMW you not only have to replace the battery it has to be programmed with the car in order for the car to recognize that it has a functional battery. Now normal people at that point would probably have thought that this vehicle was way above their head and turned around and put it back up for sale. Me, no.... ever the eternal optimist I thought it was just a fluke and after all it was the original battery. Luxury Auto Works where we took it in Cedar Park programmed it to make the battery functional and the car was back in working order. The charge was reasonable and the service was great! So, New Years Day, when I'd had the car a little over 3 months it quit in the passing lane on IH 35....it suddenly lost acceleration. Thanks to my husband's quick thinking and the availability of an exit he pulled across traffic and exited making it just up the ramp and over into a safe area to park it. It was early evening so most everything was closed but I had Austex Towing take it to Luxury Auto Works in Cedar Park. We put the keys in the Dropbox along with our phone numbers written on the outside of the envelope and our name. We thought we would hear from them Tuesday when they found the keys, saw the car and got our message. After calling and leaving a couple of messages I decided to call the Austin location where I was informed that the receptionist was off that day so without having someone to answer the phone it had been pretty difficult to reach them. She went ahead and notify them we had been trying to reach them and e received a call back immediately from one of the mechanics / advisors Andy spoke with us and took the information on what had happened. It was middle afternoon by then so they were going to put it through Diagnostics in the morning. Once the Diagnostics were completed it was determined that we had purchased tank full of bad diesel fuel which we had gotten at the new Valero gas station at the corner of Crystal Falls and 183A. They couldn't be sure that was the whole problem but they said it was a green color and that it did not look anything like diesel fuel . Since my husband pumped it New Year's Eve day and the following day the car quit they felt it would be a starting point so they gave us a quote for draining all the diesel from the vehicle flushing out the lines and obtaining new fuel and then hopefully after test driving it would prove repaired. Sadly the following day once they did all those steps we called and spoke with Andy who gave us the bad news and explained that Not only was the fuel bad but somehow it looked like the injectors were damp and several not functioning properly so the recommendation was to replace all the injectors. I didn't understand all the mechanical explanation but I felt certain they knew what they were talking about. I had read via Yelp several very positive ratings including some on BMW Vehicles they had repaired in the past. Andy advised it was going to be about $6,500 plus tax and no guarantee that that would fix the problem. I could tell by the sound of his voice he really didn't feel like I should have them do it. Talk about a sick feeling, I've made plenty of mistakes but I really don't remember one that cost more than $10,000. Now, I've put in a new battery to the tune of about $300, had Luxury synchronize it with the car for about $75. This time completing all the Diagnostics and emptying the fuel tank and flushing out the lines and replacing the fuel filter ran about $950 with tax. I guess I better quit griping about my own stupidity and just end this Yelp by saying I felt that Luxury Auto Works did a great job, did everything they could to make the repairs as cost-effective as possible and have very reliable and respectful team members. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

My husband gave these fine folks a call this morning to get my Range Rover in to get looked at for a rear axel leak... Hubby is in Virginia (active duty military) and I'm here in the Lone Star State.. things are hectic... this is the hubby's department. Patrick was helping me with all the logistics... Very clean and comfortable waiting area with lots of great AUSTIN magazines to keep ya busy... Starbucks Keurig for all your caffeine needs and a fridge full of Topo Chicos, bottle waters and beverages and lots of snacks. This waiting room is actually way better than the Land Rover downtown Austin off 5th street.... even after their fancy remodel.... I've been to their place in Austin years ago with my old Range Rover and they took good care of me so when I saw they opened here in good ol Cedar Park I knew they were an option if I ever had any issues on my new Range Rover. They got me pulled around quick for a quick diagnostics/ estimate... they even invited me back to the shop to see my vehicle all jacked up and explain to me (a female) what was going on with my car....I forgot my service guy's name but he worked at the Austin location years ago with Thomas.. I will report back with his info. I feel super comfortable as a female with these guys. I've been thru this before and I can't tell you how many times I've been talked to like I'm an idiot. They service tech explained the problem to me in a way I could understand and relay back to the hubby. They gave me an estimate (very reasonable) expensive because I drive a dang Range Rover... but it comes with a 3 year warranty... I know they are legit because I had to return in the past after a hydro lice repair on my old RR Sport and they took care of me... so... they are ordering a part and I will be back Thursday for the actual repair... keep ya posted on the details. They have loaner cars as well... not the Jaguars or Evoques like Land Rover downtown but they are working on getting a new fleet in... to be continued. Dropped my car off last night for them to be able to work on it Thursday morning. Didn't have to wait at all. Patrick put me in a loaner car, pulled it up, AC on and tank full. It is an old car but it was clean and ran well. I just received a text update stating that the repair is going well and my car will be cleaned and ready soon! Something is completely wrong with this place. Avoid it. My engine light was on, I went there to check it. Ive been maintaining my lincoln regularly at the official dealership all this years and never got a Bill higher than $500. Last was in February. Not only the checkup cost me $180 here. They came up with the bill almost as long as the toilet paper roll for almost $5500 of repairs. Including the oil change and the oil filter for $70, my last official check and change was done in February this year. Took my car and brought it to CarMax, they made an engine check and it was only $400. Next time if I want to do a charity for 5500 it will St. Jude, not Lux Shmaks. Spoke to Brett, I explained that I have a vehicle with a DSG transmission, this car has been to another German car specialist and they did all that they could $1800 and they were unable to determine the root cause of the vehicle shifting hard. They stated they were unable to proceed any further because they did not have the capabilities. They suggested another Transmission shop that specialized in this type of transmission. The business they referred me to stated that they would not go near this type of transmission due to the complexities. They referred me to LUXURY AUTO that specializes in German vehicles and this would be my best option. I called Brett, I explained the entire situation, explained that the prior shop replaced the motor mounts and flushed the transmission. They also stated that the transmission filter may be the issue but they were hesitate to make that decision and charge me any additional $$$ when they were unsure. DSG transmission is not an easy transmission to work on and this was explained to me from the first repair. Brett stated he has had in the past a VW with a DSG transmission (personally owned). After I explained that we have already spent nearly $2k for repairs that did not improve the vehicle he stated "I will put the vehicle under diagnosis and run our tests on the vehicle, IF the diagnosis does not show any faults I will not charge you the diagnosis fee". Simple, and gracious. Brett... "If the vehicle shows faults I will then charge the standard diagnosis fee in addition to the repairs that you approve". Brett called the following day, the vehicle did not show ANY faults, but from what we understand the ENTIRE transmission needs to be replaced. $7300. Ok, the car's value is 3-4k. I received a phone call from Ashley, not Brett, stating that the diagnosis for the car will be $223.00. I arrived at the shop, greeted by Brett and Ashley and asked to pay the full amount, according to Brett the owner (Thomas Dere) stated that we worked on the vehicle and that is our price. Thomas, you wasted my time and money. These are the facts, everything I have stated here is the truth. I have been on Google Review for 12 years, this is only the 3rd time I have created a review. LAW, took advantage of us because they knew that they were able. I handed Brett a letter when I walked in explaining how they took advantage of us for only $223. He looked at it and read the entire note and just walked away with his head down, coward. read more

Great experience taking my Porsche Macan here today. I only needed to get brakes pads and rotors repaired but of course the dealer wanted about the same amount as my first car. I checked out LAW and was very impressed. Pat showed me that my pads were fine w a ton of life but the previous owner (of my 6 mos old CPO mind you) didn't change the rotors so they tore into the pads and broke the sensor. I was taken into the shop floor where I was shown the issues very visibly and with transparency of the issue. They didn't try to oversell me on anything I didn't need and I made it out of there feeling very confident that Pat and the team did honest and great work and I still had some cash left in my pocket. Patrick helped me with our 2018 Audi --that needed new tires, due to one blowout from a road hazard. He was super thoughtful and got a price check from down the road at Discount Tire (will review them too!) and recommended I get the tires from DT and have the alignment done at LAW. I did just that and it saved me over $700. The alignment was done super fast today (with an appointment) and the waiting room was comfy. And my car got a nice bath too. I have had great experiences with this business. McKay is very helpful and responsive. They have done work on my Porsche and my daughter's Mini Cooper. It is conveniently located and faster than going to the dealerships. We had an insurance issue with some repairs and McKay was able to talk to the adjuster and help us get a reimbursement that we had been told might not happen by the insurance company. First off, Lucas no longer owns this shop - It's 100% under new ownership/management, so disregard the reviews mentioning Lucas. The whole shop has been redone, it's under new ownership and new management. Les Costales, the GM was my service advisor since 2011 at Austin BMW - He's always been a stand-up guy, and a true BMW enthusiast. As much as I disliked having to go into Penske for warranty service, I enjoyed my few minutes with Les each time. Les has seen it all, and is very knowledgable about all things BMW. Since I found he moved to work at Luxury Auto Works, I've taken my business to them. Their shop is amazingly clean, and their techs got the work done on time and with the quality I'd expect. If it's something serious don't even waste your time, also if they give you a warranty seriously document it, keep your receipt , and I would even go as far as to say have the manager sign something stating the terms of the warranty or else they won't be able to "find you in their system" and you will probably have to take it back because either 1. The cheap part they used to "fix" your vehicle will break or 2. They won't completely fix the problem they will just put a band aid on it. And the customer is not always right here. This is THE BEST auto shop I've been to! Don, the manager, is super friendly and didn't give me any annoying sales pitch. My car hadn't run right in years-the check engine light would turn on and neither my husband or any other shop knew how to fix it. The Chrsyler dealership would just turn it off-but it always came on again. My car would stall out on cold mornings and when I pushed the accelerator the car would jerk and pull forward. Just a mess!
