Eric - Just wanted to let you know I was able to get the noise problem fixed that was left after you did my brake job. Even though you had my car for a day and claimed there was no noise. Even though you wouldn't take the time to let me point out the noise on a short ride because you probably half assed the diagnosis and were so busy you didn't want to deal with it. Even though you wouldn't return my calls to try and schedule a short ride where I could point out the noise problem, I wanted to let you know I found a shop that took that ride with me, and fixed the problem in under 30 seconds using an extended screwdriver and at no cost. I highly recommend ER Automotive! The air conditioner on my 2012 Chevrolet Equinox went out last month; I was desperate to have it repaired before the real heat and humidity set in. I got bids at two repair shops, one of which I have been going to for years!!! At the suggestion of a friend, I took my car in for a third estimate at ER Automotive, which turned out to be significantly less $$$ than the other two estimates. I went into ER Automotive less than a year ago and should've posted this then.... I have had such bad experiences with mechanics and being able to trust them, and being overcharged, but they were GREAT! A friend's husband recommended them, and they looked over my car to find anything that was wrong with it before I went out of town. I had had another mechanic quote me almost $400 to do certain work, and when ER looked at it, their price for the same work was about $125. I left safe when driving my car away. As a single woman, it means a lot to trust a mechanic, and I had peace going there, and a good experience while I waited. I have been meaning to write this for a while now. I first found ER Automotive about 6 months ago after asking my Neighborhood Facebook Page recommendations for an honest, reliable and trustworthy auto repair shop. My husband and I moved the the area from DFW area and prior from San Diego, CA. Each place my husband and I had uncles that worked on our cars and never worried about getting ripped off. Maybe I watch too much 20/20 that I have trust issues on whether or not repairs were actually done or if they just take your money. Well, 6 months ago, they did a wonderful job on my 2010 Cadillac SRX. I don't want another car payment so it is important I maintain the life of my car as long as possible. So when my engine light came on again 3 weeks ago, I knew exactly where to take it. My husband dropped off my car while I was in Los Angeles on a Thursday and when I got back Sunday, I picked up my car, all fixed. Their prices are fair and I feel great about being able to drive my car for years to come. The number one thing I look for in an auto repair shop is HONESTY. That's how I know I'm getting what I need fixed, and not taking on extra-expensive charges I don't need. I was going to take in my minivan for a clockspring replacement and the owner, Eric, told me it would be about $500 total. He said I should try calling the dealership first to see what they could do. Well...I'm skeptical of dealerships AND my car warranty had long expired, but I checked it out anyway. Did some research online and discovered that some vehicles have parts that have a Lifetime Part Warranty, as they call it. The dealership fixed it for free! Eric saved me $500 and I have been to his shop a couple times thanks to his honesty. I first came to ER Automotive based on reviews I had seen on Yelp and elsewhere online as I was seeking a good solid reliable trustworthy and affordable auto service shop, and since trying them I haven't looked back. Their prices are very reasonable and they do good quality work. But here is one of the things I personally love most about them: Any time I am getting my car repaired, I always ask the repair shop to contact me before doing anything and let me know what the estimated price will be. I have been surprised to find out how rare that is. Most places just go ahead and do the work and then I end up stuck with the bill (which is often unreasonable). I want to know what I am going to pay before I give the green light to go ahead and do the work. ER Automotive has always consistently accommodated this request. Another awesome thing about this place - when getting my van repaired there recently, they saw another small issue that needed fixing and while they were there they just went ahead and did it at no charge. Who does that? First time I've every experienced such a thing. I've read through many of the other 5 star reviews and can tell you they are a very accurate reflection of this place. I cannot say enough nice things about ER Automotive. Not only are these guys the best, they know what they are talking about and they are awesome. I'm a car girl, I get upset when men assume because I have girl parts, that I don't know anything about car parts. ER never did that to me. I can speak car geek as well as they can and I feel comfortable enough to do it. Secondly, and probably most importantly, if they say they will do something in budget it will be done in budget. I had 3000 to fix one of my cars, and I went to them. They did a fair estimate on all the problems that had to be fixed first, got me a nice tally sheet and then when I handed them the keys they had it done and done right. Everything was so great, they told me to bring it in a week later so they could look it over to be sure it was perfect. I like a mechanic who wants to check their work. It means they know that it needs to be perfect to me as much as it does to them. If you want a fantastic mechanic, who works well, works on time, and works in your budget these are your guys.
