Excellent customer service. The hourly labor charge was substantially less than other repair shops.

My first time taking my truck to them, I was lied to multiple times about confirmation of the job being covered by insurance. It turned out that the "yes it is covered" they told me was a lie, and my truck sat in their shop for a week. I ended up taking the truck back and not getting the repair done there. I decided to give them another shot, after confirming with insurance and them that the requested work will be covered. They did the job, swapped the fuel pump out and put in new wiring, and I took the truck and left. After leaving, I noticed there was a CEL, and I went to get it checked out at Autozone. The code I got was linked to the fuel pump job that was just completed, and I took it back to AAMCO to have the issue addressed. They told me that not only did my insurance not cover that work, but neither did the labor warranty! They gave me the worst attitude, could not answer my questions, and did nothing to fix the issue they caused. This entire conversation with the rep, Emilio, and his service tech was had within earshot of their higher-up. I assume this guy was the manager or owner, but he was just sitting at his desk on his computer. I have gotten better customer service from a kid running a lemonade stand. Avoid this place at all cost. They do incomplete work and do not have the customer service skills to make things right.

I am old school, so getting the old school treatment in a modern-day automotive shop was refreshing! Here is what I mean: 1 - AJ greeted & guided me into the appropriate bay. 2 - He explained that I could stay in my car where I might be more comfortable or wait in their waiting room (I chose to wait in their waiting room). 3 - He asked for the previous sticker. When he noticed the residue on my windshield from a past oil change sticker (not theirs), he offered to clean that right up for me! When I got my vehicle back, the residue was gone. 4 - He came to the waiting room to inform me of what my cost would be for my requested services. 5 - Mid-way through the oil change, he let me know which of my fluids were good-to-go & the ones that he topped off. 6 - He showed me my air filter, & we discussed when I would likely need to replace it (a replacement air filter was not needed). No guilt or pressure tactics, just helpful information. 7 - When the oil change was completed, he drove it to the other side where they do the tire rotations & came to let me know that my vehicle had moved to the next phase. The guy that completed my tire rotation & took the payment was extremely courteous & very personable as well. He took the time to put a smile on my face when I knew that he had to be hot as hell at 3pm in the afternoon! I wish that I had asked for his name, but not having his name doesn't diminish his part in why I am giving these guys a 5-star rating. Great job all around! TOP NOTCH experience. If you appreciate customer care/service like I do, Austin Automotive Specialists are a breath of fresh air!

The team was straightforward, honest, and respectful of my time, which made the entire experience stress-free. In addition to the oil change, they performed complimentary inspections including brakes, lights, fluid levels, and a thorough 52-point checkup to ensure everything was running smoothly. It's clear they truly care about their customers and vehicle safety. I'll definitely be returning for my next maintenance service or checkup. Keep up the amazing work and continue keeping everyone's cars running great. Cheers!

My 2012 Toyota Tundra (AKA "The Beast), needed some service done. Now I normally take care of all…read moremy maintenance such as brakes, tune up's etc. I have a trust issues with other mechanics and dealerships. But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Thanks Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers in Leander. My truck drives straight and the AC works like new. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated
