Set up appointment for a flat repair at 9:45. Arrived at 9:38 and checked in. Shower the tire and stated had appointment. Received update via web that expected time was 12:34 for completion. Waited a bit as the waiting room was full. After about 45 min asked a helpful gentlemen at the desk about why they set appointments if you have a three hour wait. When I was checked in I was put on 'first available' list and not as per my prearranged appointment time. Since Discount went to a percentage base on tire warranty I am questioning the 'value' as the wait times always seem to be excessive for even simple items. If you have that many flat repairs (there were over 10 on the list) then dedicate a bay to flat repairs and churn them out. read more

"Discount Tires" is my GOTO store for tires and wheels. Today they once again earned my loyalty. I have had an issue with either my tires or my wheels on my 2012 Toyota Tundra. I don't drive it often, so it's only got 134k on the clock. Yet, I feel a vibration up front whenever I get a rotation. It usually comes in at about 60-65 miles an hour (see video). We have been chasing this issue for a couple of years now. It was sporadic at first, but now as the tire starts to wear more it's very noticeable. So today I went in expecting a fight or at least some major pushback. I was met by "Gilbert", a very nice but intense young man. I explained my issue and showed him a video of the problem. He advised me I was out of the warranty window, but I reminded him that this has been an ongoing issue. He offered to replace the tires, valued at $288 per tire, plus $49 per certificate for a total of $254.00. Not exactly what I had in mind for a set of tires I've had issues with this long. I countered with repurchasing the two certificates for $98.00 and they exchange my tires. He agreed. The tires were ordered and I return tomorrow 9/12/25 to have them installed. Low tire checked, nail on edge, not repairable, replacement quote almost $350 for tire I paid $250 just a few months earlier at a San Antonio location. I called San Antonio Discount Tire who advised I have prorated warranty. Cedar Park failed to advise of my warranty, but after advising them they quoted $102 prorate replacement. I then called nearby Leander location, their tire price $281, the prorate total $46 out the door, thank you Leander Discount Tire for your honesty. Cedar Park failed to advise of my prorate warranty, quoted much higher price for new tire and 2x the price for prorate replacement. Leander Discount Tire replaced my tire providing exceptional service in and out 30 minutes! read more

We had tire pressure issues on one of our front tires so we brought it here. Their crew examined the tire and ended up changing the tire pressure gauge since it was faulty. This morning, my experience exceeded expectations. Upon my arrival for an 8:00 AM appointment, I was warmly greeted by Gilbert, who maintained a high level of professionalism throughout my visit. As I was there to have all of my tires replaced, I appreciated that Gilbert had placed a sign displaying my name to reserve a parking spot for me, though I initially overlooked it until he kindly pointed it out. In addition to replacing my tires, Gilbert took the initiative to replace my windshield wiper blades at no additional charge, which I found particularly commendable. I wish I could select zero stars. Went to this location to have a nail removed and tire patched, nail was not in the sidewall of the tire. The service representatives said they could not remove the nail because the tires were too damaged. These tires were purchased in 2022 and have barely been driven as I work from home 6 days a week. We took the car to another tire shop, who not only removed the nail but said the nail was small and hadn't punctured through the tire. They also said the tires look good and do not need to be replaced. The customer service at this Discount Tire is always great! Twice I've gotten flat tires the day before needing to drive to San Antonio and twice they've gotten the tires in early the next morning and gotten me all fixed up in time for my trip! From what I've seen online, their tires are priced fair as well. They didn't even make fun of me when I decided not to buy the tire replacement plan then needed it in a month! I then bought it just so I wouldn't need it in the future. No nails since! Ha. I have been going to Discount tire for over 20 years! Apparently the main office is now double booking and now with an appt. Is a two hour wait! My husband and I drove in with our two vehicles and had an appt and was told it would be over two hours each. The young man said the main office is now double booking people and has no idea when it will change! Guess maybe I will take my business somewhere else from now on. The parking lot was extremely dangerous and I almost got hit because there was absolutely nowhere to park and double stacked and parking in fire zones! Bad business practice to do this! I had an exceptionally good experience at this location over a weeks time of working with the store. Johnny handled my order and communicated all issues over the length of the install. I had a tire and rim blow out in a civic. Johnny said they had a similar tire in stock and most importantly, the rim. I purchased that tire and rim immediately. I still wanted the same brand tire as a replacement. Johnny ordered the tire that I requested, communicating the little issues they were having as they processed the order. He had excellent communication. Cody was such a professional replacing the tires and responding to my serious issue. The issue: I ended up not receiving the original replacement tire which was the "similar " tire that was my first replacement. The instillation of the 2 on-brand replacement tires went as expected. The problem was the full size "spare" I purchased days before. SIDE NOTE: Yes, I walked someone out to the vehicle to Show them and explain what was going on and asked that the tire be placed in the trunk. My daughter picked up the car (her car; my money). No Full size tire in the trunk. I'm mad. I call and speak to Cody. He was apologetic and said they would have it for me. (This all occurred within 30 min) I walked in to a line of people and one woman trying to process everyone. I walked out and confronted an employee in the garage area. Devin, who unexpectedly was in the middle of the issue, handled the situation with respect and understanding. I cannot say enough about this young man. Went to have a tire checked. Lug nuts were worn so they replaced them with huge ones that stick out and I was told Ford and their parts are trash and that's why they replaced them. But the real reason was because my old ones were "swollen" which was true. It took one month to get the Ford lug nuts in and put back on. They got me right in no wait at all. BUT my very first visit, they gouged every rim changing out the lug nuts. One of the managers did come out and look at them and saw proof. I was told they would file a claim, they never did and it's almost two months later and I had to call corporate to see if there is a claim on file and I got sent to voicemail and still no returned phone call. read more

Today turned out to be a treasure hunt. But first , let's backup a week. I get an email stating it's time for my tire rotation. So I schedule it and show up to my appointment. My greeting was wonderful and I was excited to get some work done while I waited. Well, according to them I didn't buy my tires from discount tire. I did. But.. ok. So I rummaged through 18months of statements to find it and they simply said. "Oh ,ok." So tires rotated! Nice. But... your front right needs to be replaced- but your others are ok. . Sigh. Ok.so I booked an appointment for today. I show up and they try and sell more more tires. No. I ask them to check and update my phone as I'm still not getting texts. Jayden takes my number and outs it in his handheld. I leave assuming it would take an hour. 1.5hr I show up later and it looks completed as the vehicle has moved and has a new tire. Jayden said " I called you and sent texts." Nope. You didn't. What number did you call - " the one you gave me". Which was?? He mumbled something oh well it's done and I'm outta here. Wrong- they broke a stud on the wheel. Sigh -- ok. Thanks for fixing it!! " we don't do that here- take it to Leander discount tire they will do it and it's in us" - can I even drive with a missing stud/lug nut? -- "sure it's safe" So I get in the car and drive to Leander and again was greeted pleasantly. My husband was in need of a set of tires. I started researching tire stores for tire availability and when we could get an appointment. I went to the Discount Tire website and found 4 new tires at a good value. We bought the tires online and scheduled our tire install for Monday afternoon as there was not any available time on Saturday. I called first thing Saturday morning to see if there was an available appointment for any time on Saturday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! I want to start of with saying that these guys have great customer service. The employees that work the computes are so professional and polite. The guys working in the bays hustle and get stuff done. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because this is the second time I've been here where a third of the employees in the bays aren't wearing masks. They'll wear them when they approach your car with you in it, but otherwise it's around their chin, neck or no where to be seen at all. I would understand if they were social distancing from each other (which they don't) but the whole point of the mask is to stop droplets. Since a good portion of employees aren't wearing masks as they are running around and working hard, there are droplets from their mouth landing on everything like tools, tires, and the inside of people's cars. This defeats the whole purpose of wearing masks which we have been doing for a year now. If the pandemic wasn't a thing or was complete over, my review would easily be 5 stars. read more

I went today to get a tire rotation which I was told I needed from another tire person. The guy came out and did his little tire measurement thing. The whole time asking me do I need new wipers, how often do I take road trips, how much do I drive every day, took mileage count, etc... Went inside and of course, my tires were supposedly a #4, so of course, I needed new tires. Couldn't find me in the system until I showed my receipt and suddenly, I appeared. Told me I didn't need a tire rotation as it was a waste of his time and my time. Told me I could get new tires with a deduction on the current tires. So now - let's see - you are refusing to do a tire rotation as it's a waste of your time even though you advertise free tire rotations, you are telling me the tires I bought from you are no good in less than 2 years, with very little driving time on them which you acknowledged - and yet you really think I'm going to buy more tires from you.
