Fix a flat at Family Tires
Michael R.

10 minutes 10 dollars Knowledgeable Family owned They have our business!!! Don't waste your time at the corporate tire stores. We were in and out in less then 10 minutes and he didn't try to sell me a tire.

Tire replacement

Great, fast and not just a tire shop. The owner is super nice and very helpful. No appointment is needed only on Sundays but they are open all 7 days of the week (:

Tire punctured with a rock near the edge. It was fixed with a patch, and works perfectly now

It was simply awesome. All other services told me it's impossible to fix a puncture near the edge. This service just silently fixed it. The tire was brand, so it would have been a waste of nature resources a money to change it to a another new tire

A+++. Great value, quick, helpful and just as good as your big box tire places. Cash only.

Once I was moving, I only made it down the street before all power failed in my car and I had to coast to a stop. It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. All-in-all, this place was wildly helpful, communicated clearly about the work done, and priced fairly. Going into an auto shop as a woman by yourself can be intimidating, but this shop defies that expectation and rises to make for a terrific experience for all. I would recommend this place to my friends and family any day!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here and feel like I was taken advantage of because…read moreI'm a woman who doesn't know much about cars. My car had died, and based on my understanding, I believed the battery was the issue. I had purchased the battery from this shop about a year ago and was told it had a 3-year warranty, so I came in expecting to have the battery replaced under warranty. Instead, I was told there was nothing wrong with my battery. The situation then turned into an issue with my alternator. I was initially quoted $1,500 for a new alternator, then $1,200, and eventually told Randy's "homeboy" could do it for $500 cash. I told him I didn't have $500, and he asked, "What do you have?" He eventually agreed to $200 cash. When I came back for clarification, I was told I was getting a brand-new alternator. However, when I returned, the same alternator was still on my car. I was then told that the positive wire on the alternator had been fixed and the alternator had been cleaned, and that was what the $200 was for. I was given a $0 receipt for the warranty battery, but no itemized receipt explaining the $200 cash charge. I left extremely confused and feeling like I had been misled about what work was actually being done. I don't know a lot about cars, but customers deserve honesty, clear communication, and documentation of what they are paying for. I personally feel like I was taken advantage of. Be aware of Randy and make sure you get everything in writing before paying for additional work.

Having to go to an Autobody shop in my opinion is like going to get a root canal. It is no fun!…read moreALTHOUGH, I'm happy to say Lamb's has changed my opinion completely! I'm new to Austin. My 1st visit was when I needed to get a smog check. Piece of cake. The 2nd time I got new tires. 3rd time was a bit nerve wracking The red light indicator on my dashboard informed me I had an issue with my coolant. I waited for a bit while they inspected my car. My phone was dying and they offered a charger. Then Molly explained in Layman's terms what the problem was. They called an Uber to take me home and pick me up I received a report via text. I reviewed it and saw a recommendation for brake fluid. I asked about replacing it. They told me that it wasn't necessary, The chart wasn't updated. HONEST service. They could of easily said you need this that and the other. BTW It is easy to make an appointment online. I was able to get in the following day. 5 Stars for exceptional service beyond car maintenance. Always greeted in person and on the phone with kindness. WHY would go anywhere else?! Wish I could say the same about the dentist.

I cannot say enough good things about Lamb's Tire & Automotive. I had just driven in from Dallas…read morethe night before and don't live in Austin, so I had no idea where to go or what to expect when my Tesla started making this awful noise--like it was dragging a bunch of empty cans underneath. It was loud, embarrassing, and honestly pretty stressful. But as usual, Austin showed up with that signature Texas charm. They took me in immediately, had someone look at it right away, and fixed the issue in under 10 minutes. No hassle, no upsell, no runaround--just quick, honest help. And the best part? They didn't even charge me. Everyone there was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. It's rare to find a place that treats you that well, especially when they could have easily charged for the time. If you're anywhere near Austin and need automotive help, this is the place to go. Fast, honest, and truly customer-focused. I'll absolutely be coming back here any time I'm in town.

Hop in car and drive over to be amazed by their kindness and efficiency with accurate results in less than 20 minutes and no high-pressure upsales for any other service (even though captive customers would be an excellent mark). Also, while you're there, check out the impressive basement level below where all the recycled oil goes but watch your step and stay safe! Will return to get my headlamps repaired soon since they are both faded out and don't want to sandpaper or shellac on own with help from YouTube. Peace out in a Jiffy and keep up the kind and careful work. This might be a thankless job, but y'all save the day for us non-mechanic doobs every dang day so don't forget it!!!!

So they told me to go other Jiffy Lube's nearby, this is the one i chose first. 6 miles early afternoon traffic later finally pull into a not-too-busy locations only to be told that their one and only Emissions tester is out that day. What is the point of offering services if you lack the ability to perform them? This led me to a third Jiffy Lube where their Tester was also out. In short, i have literally nothing but hard evidence that Jiffy Lube, as a company, simply is incapable of providing basic services like State Mandated Emissions testing due to their incompetency with staffing personnel. 81 minutes, 32 miles, ZERO services done by 3 different brands of the same chain.
