Jim, the owner was a bit reluctant to go along with my plan, but agreed for me to come and have it checked out. I also had purchased brake pads on my own and brought them with me. When Meineke checked my car, they found out that my car really did need brake pads and not rotors and did the job. Jim could have insisted on replacing the rotors or could have told me I needed them when I didn't. This kind of honesty and service goes a long way! I will definitely go back when I need other work done that they can do. Thank you, Jim!

Meineke #2605. 7829 Burnet Rd. I had my front brakes…read morereplaced July 24th. When I left, I immediately noticed the brakes were still squealing and (intermittently) the brake pedal was now "crunching" when pressed and now I had a new droning sound when driving. I took the car back on August 7th and again today because all of it was getting louder, not going away. (Manager) Victoria told me (both times) there is a "break-in" period on new brakes and the squealing would go away (I've had brakes replaced on other cars and never had this) and there was nothing wrong with my car, so I went and picked it up. The noises have gotten worse, so I took it to my regular mechanic who looked at it (and took photos) and said the brakes were "on backwards" and not seated correctly. I told Victoria and she called my mechanic. My regular mechanic said both "inners" were on one side and both "outers" were on the other side which Victoria said is totally acceptable. Not to me. I paid $700 for my car to be repaired correctly not "acceptably". I've been asked for my money back so I could go to my regular mechanic and get my car fixed correctly, but she said she could not do that. I then asked to speak to the supervisor, which she said she is, so I asked to speak to the owner and she said his name was "Kevin-something" she was unsure of his last name (really?). I should have trusted my gut. The first time I went in there and a man was complaining about whatever they had done on his car (July 24th was the 3rd time - I had oil changes each time due to a coupon book that I purchased from a guy who came selling them at my and I thought I would try Meineke because they are walking distance to my office). I want my $700 back so I can get my car fixed right. I drive long distances regularly on I-35 and don't appreciate an incorrect job and neither would all the cars on the highway that could be affected.

Having to go to an Autobody shop in my opinion is like going to get a root canal. It is no fun!…read moreALTHOUGH, I'm happy to say Lamb's has changed my opinion completely! I'm new to Austin. My 1st visit was when I needed to get a smog check. Piece of cake. The 2nd time I got new tires. 3rd time was a bit nerve wracking The red light indicator on my dashboard informed me I had an issue with my coolant. I waited for a bit while they inspected my car. My phone was dying and they offered a charger. Then Molly explained in Layman's terms what the problem was. They called an Uber to take me home and pick me up I received a report via text. I reviewed it and saw a recommendation for brake fluid. I asked about replacing it. They told me that it wasn't necessary, The chart wasn't updated. HONEST service. They could of easily said you need this that and the other. BTW It is easy to make an appointment online. I was able to get in the following day. 5 Stars for exceptional service beyond car maintenance. Always greeted in person and on the phone with kindness. WHY would go anywhere else?! Wish I could say the same about the dentist.

I cannot say enough good things about Lamb's Tire & Automotive. I had just driven in from Dallas…read morethe night before and don't live in Austin, so I had no idea where to go or what to expect when my Tesla started making this awful noise--like it was dragging a bunch of empty cans underneath. It was loud, embarrassing, and honestly pretty stressful. But as usual, Austin showed up with that signature Texas charm. They took me in immediately, had someone look at it right away, and fixed the issue in under 10 minutes. No hassle, no upsell, no runaround--just quick, honest help. And the best part? They didn't even charge me. Everyone there was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. It's rare to find a place that treats you that well, especially when they could have easily charged for the time. If you're anywhere near Austin and need automotive help, this is the place to go. Fast, honest, and truly customer-focused. I'll absolutely be coming back here any time I'm in town.
