Wow, I'm so impressed by this place! Yesterday, my car battery died and I had it jumped and got moving. Once I was moving, I only made it down the street before all power failed in my car and I had to coast to a stop. It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. All-in-all, this place was wildly helpful, communicated clearly about the work done, and priced fairly. Going into an auto shop as a woman by yourself can be intimidating, but this shop defies that expectation and rises to make for a terrific experience for all. Great customer service by Eric he helped me get my car inspection ready. Helped me with getting great prices without charging an arm and a leg. He kept me up to date with my car repairs with calling me advising what services are needed with how much the cost would be. Bobby was so helpful in researching the overheating problems we had. He didn't charge us for diagnostics or the work they did to determine the problem. He was honest with what he could and couldn't fix. His research helped us learn our issue was still under factory warranty, no other repair place ( we had been to 2) even mentioned that option. I am looking for someone to repair one of my old vehicle. To find reputable mechanics is a tough task. Oak Knoll automotive is right in my neighborhood. I drove by many times. Because it is very convenient, I decided to give it a try. And I am glad I did. The owner, Bobby is very helpful and knowledgeable about repair, and he is also very trustworthy(this is hard to find sometimes). Would definitely go back. I had AC issues in a 2000 Ford Expedition. Bobby remembered me from my call, and was able to get me in right away. They were able to take my vehicle in around 10 a.m. and have everything finished the same day before 6 p.m. Fair pricing and nice people. Will return. I dropped my car off this morning at 8 AM with Bobby. I was greeted right as I walked in. I explained that I called ahead last week about an oil change, inspection and brake job. He remembered and took down a bit of my contact information and told me the job would definitely be done same day. About 20 minutes later, he called me to run the cost by me before proceeding (less expensive than a recent brake job somewhere else)...and I was able to pick up my car at 11:45! Bobby at Oak Knoll Automotive was incredibly helpful when I woke up one morning to a cracked oil pan and oil all over the ground. I have never had serious car trouble requiring shop work (beyond maintenance) and Bobby was very patient and understanding when I frantically called needing help. He updated me throughout the repair work and was always available if I needed to return his call at a later time. This was a previous post before their name change, so I'm updating my review here. Since my first experience and review, I've had more work done and they still get high marks. *** It's under new ownership and is now called: Oak Knoll Automotive. It's the small ironies in life: I had entered a review for a past experience and gave them 1 star. I've done business with the oil change business, Valvoline Express Care, which is located next to the auto repair shop. I was due for a oil change, when my check engine light came on and the oil gauge was reading maximum oil pressure. The oil change folks connected up the diagnostics and determined the oil sensor gauge was out. They couldn't do the repair, but suggested the auto repair next door. I informed them of my previous experience, when they informed me it was under new ownership. I spoke with them and decided I would give them a chance. Initially the owner had stepped out, so I spoke with two employees. They were very nice and put the vehicle on their diagnostics and concluded the same. Once the owner returned, we discussed it and he explained the process and expense breakdown. Once I picked up the vehicle, they had actually saved some money by not having to do some other work to get to the part. (The procedure required removal of another part, requiring replacement of a gasket to access the part needing to be replace. The person doing the work was able to get to it, thereby saving time and cost.) read more

I called ahead and setup a time to have them swap out the sparks plugs on my Tacoma (routine maintenance thing). Because I did that, I was able to just wait on the fix for about an hour. Everything was good. Price was fair. I will use them again. read more

So Oak Knoll Automotive was a branch of Ben White Auto. When the owner of Ben White Auto (which by the way is an excellent shop), decided to sell that location. Bobby took it over. I dealt with him when it was BWA, and I still deal with him at Oak Knoll. Nothing has changed but the name. I got the same great service, and I have had a Camry and an Escape worked on there. Friends I have referred have also had good experiences. I highly recommended Oak Knoll (and BWA). Give them a shot, you won't regret it. read more

I took my Kia Soul here for a "second opinion". Bobby runs the shop and was honest and thorough about every aspect of diagnosis and repair. I had to have an engine found and dropped into the vehicle. They managed to have it dropped in the very day it was shipped. I would have given 5 stars other than Nathan, the customer service rep, was rude on the phone and treated me like an idiot for being a woman, as though I had no idea what I was talking about and had to just accept all extra work and charges not communicated with me or asked my permission for. read more

Oak Knoll Automotive is the only auto shop that I will allow to work on my cars. Bobby, Augie, Raymond are all three top notch, honest folks, that will take care of your auto repair needs. I personally own 5 cars for my family and they have worked on everyone of them over the years. Most recently I had them put a brand new engine in my Suburban. I am hard to please and very picky about my cars. I can not express enough how pleased I am with the work that Augie did on it, and how Bobby (the owner)personally worked with me getting the parts needed to repair it.
