My 2012 Toyota Tundra (AKA "The Beast), needed some service done. But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

They can't guarantee how long it's going to last because the transmission is actually Having issues but he said it could last 100 miles or 100,000 miles. It's super convenient, you just drive through and don't even have to get out of your car. You line up in the back, and I was greeted right away. The first employee took my insurance card, got my mileage, and directed me forward. Then another gentleman helped me finish up. They asked if I wanted to pay for my registration on the spot for an additional $7, which I appreciated since I just wanted everything taken care of at once. There is also a $2 debit card fee, which was fine. One small thing, I did notice a tip jar, and there's also a tip option when you pay by card. I'm a little unsure how I feel about that in this type of service, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes, and I left with my sticker in hand. Super fast, super easy--bravo! The four stars is because of the tipping, employees were great!

"Discount Tires" is my GOTO store for tires and wheels. Today they once again earned my loyalty…read more I have had an issue with either my tires or my wheels on my 2012 Toyota Tundra. I don't drive it often, so it's only got 134k on the clock. Yet, I feel a vibration up front whenever I get a rotation. It usually comes in at about 60-65 miles an hour (see video). We have been chasing this issue for a couple of years now. It was sporadic at first, but now as the tire starts to wear more it's very noticeable. So today I went in expecting a fight or at least some major pushback. I was met by "Gilbert", a very nice but intense young man. I explained my issue and showed him a video of the problem. He advised me I was out of the warranty window, but I reminded him that this has been an ongoing issue. He offered to replace the tires, valued at $288 per tire, plus $49 per certificate for a total of $254.00. Not exactly what I had in mind for a set of tires I've had issues with this long. I countered with repurchasing the two certificates for $98.00 and they exchange my tires. He agreed. The tires were ordered and I return tomorrow 9/12/25 to have them installed. Cedar Park Residents: DO NOT go to Express oil change. They over filled my oil and my car broke…read moredown. After &700 for tows, rental car, and repair work, they refused to help us pay for any of the charges. They told me, and mind you, this company only markets oil changes that they had a full repair shop. I said that they don't have anything on their receipts or marketing about that. So yeah, they don't know how to change oil correctly and don't help when you ask.

Ken Smith is a straight shooter. He recently coordinated warranty work on my 2006 Suburban Z71 which had initially been serviced by Columbia Transmission of Columbia, Missouri. Ken was very thorough in explaining the process and assured me that everything would be made right. For background, I have owned 12 vehicles over the past forty years and have never had a transmission fail until late February 2016. I was returning home to central Texas after visiting my son in Columbia when my 2006 Suburban Z71 with 127k miles lost 4th and 3rd gears five miles south of Jefferson City. It was late morning on a Saturday with most automotive repair shops closed. I 'limped' back to Columbia at 35 MPH in 2nd gear and left my Suburban with my son. I ended up renting a vehicle to make my return home. Upon returning home on Monday, I researched transmission shops in the Columbia area and finally settled on Columbia Transmissions (aka Advanced Automotive Care) after speaking with Lee. Even though I had worked in a full service gas station during high school and performed most of the basic service on my vehicles through the years, I was very apprehensive about the unknowns of transmission repair, especially out-of-state, and working over the phone with a transmission shop I knew nothing about. I would have preferred to have my mechanic of over 27 years perform the work, but he was 800 miles away from where my Suburban was disabled. Lee went to great lengths to assure me they would take care of my vehicle and restore it to working order. He even provided a ride after my son dropped off my Suburban at Columbia Transmissions. It was an expensive repair ($2,251.00), but the work was completed as scheduled so I could exchange vehicles later that week with my son halfway between Columbia and Austin. Less than three months later in late May, I experienced the sickening sensation of my Suburban again losing 4th and 3rd gear after only 4k miles since the repair. That sensation was followed by the temptation to yield to rage and suspicion, thinking I had been fleeced. It was difficult to suppress doubts about whether the warranty would be honored. I 'limped' the vehicle in 2nd to Pro Automotive in Austin where I have had the heavy service work on my vehicles performed for over 27 years. Owner Bob Sommerfeld and his son, Keith, explained that it is very common to encounter bad parts these days, especially if not OEM parts (which are the most expensive). Even most reputable automotive repair services which do their best to use good OEM parts, experience defective parts at a rate of 25-30%. Parts are being made all over the world with a wide range of quality standards. I contacted Lee with Columbia Transmissions and explained what happened. He assured me Columbia Transmission would honor the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. He immediately provided owner Rick Rose my contact information. When Rick called me back, he had already made arrangements with Ken Smith of Eagle Transmission Service in Cedar Park, Texas to service my transmission. I dropped my Suburban off early Monday morning at Eagle and picked it up late Friday afternoon. Columbia Transmission had shipped all necessary parts to Eagle Transmission and paid Eagle for the labor. Eagle Transmission, by the way, has a very positive reputation in the Cedar Park/Austin area. I have spoken with several in-the-know staff at various nearby auto parts stores and none have ever heard a negative word about Eagle. So far, my Suburban is running and shifting as though it was new. No one likes warranty work. Not the entity which guaranteed it and not the customer. But things break, even with the most seasoned, conscientious professional mechanics and service centers. However, this was the most hassle-free warranty work I have ever experienced with any product or service. Anyone can be a hero when everything goes well. But what really tests character and commitment is when things go south. Rick Rose passed that test in stellar fashion. Ken Smith of Eagle Transmission even commented to me that in his 30+ years of automotive work, he has never dealt with an individual as straight as Rick Rose, committed to making things right. I have little doubt that Ken Smith and Eagle Transmission would easily ace a similar test. read more

My 2005 Ford Expedition was recently experiencing power/shifting issues at low speeds between first and second gears. I was not getting a check engine light, my scanner revealed no hidden codes, and there were no unusual noises or hard shifting/clunking that I could detect. It seemed like my system was experiencing an "uncommanded" shift from first to third or even fourth gear, resulting in very little power at speeds under 30mph, so I suspected the valve body in the transmission could be an issue. Eagle Transmission was highly recommended by two of my coworkers, and after reading the reviews here on Yelp and on Google, I decided to give them a shot at it (I have never performed any transmission work in my life). Eagle kept my Ford overnight and Ken called me the next morning. They had performed some in-depth diagnostics on it and determined that my transmission seemed to be in great shape. The issue was actually with the IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) in my intake. It was malfunctioning and causing my Expedition's computer to force the transmission into a "safe" mode to keep the RPMs down on purpose to protect the vehicle, so the issue only seemed like my transmission was the issue. They provided me with all of the diagnostic data/paperwork/codes that they had collected, and recommended a reputable auto repair shop down the road. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME A DIME! Wow. Since they already had my vehicle there, I inquired with Ken about having them flush and service my transmission, because I have had the vehicle for almost exactly one year, and at 105k miles wasn't sure if the trannsmission had ever been serviced. Ken was super honest and told me that since my transmission was not having any issues then he really didn't recommend doing this... it can actually lead to more problems. If it ain't broke, don't fix it... right? He could have easily agreed to do the service and they could have pocketed $100+ for the service. But he instead showed my why Eagle Transmission is one of the most highly trusted and rated shops in the area... wow. I was extremely pleased with Ken &Co.'s honestly and integrity. I went with their mechanic recommendation and now my is back to running normal again. I WILL DEFINITELY BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS, and will not hesitate to take any of my vehicles to them in the future. Thanks Ken & Co. read more

My girlfriend and I made plans to visit Round Rock, Texas for thanksgiving with her family. Before we left my vans transmission took a dump and had to have it replaced. So we took it to a mom and pop shop in Southern West Virginia, where we live. After a few days it gets swapped out with a used transmission and we hit the road for Texas! In western Arkansas I start getting some lights on my dash, so we take it to an Auto Zone and have them run a scan......transmission solenoid problems! The tech at Auto Zone says we'd make it to Round Rick and to try and stay out of traffic and in high gear at speed. So we arrive in Round Rock, do some research and find Eagle Transmission & the local Toyota dealer. The local Toyota dealer in Round Rock told me I needed a new transmission, at the cost of almost $4k!!! Decided to get another opinion from Eagle Transmission. Ken and crew went above and beyond! Ken called and talked with my local mechanic who did the transmission swap before we left and finally figured out what was wrong.....wiring harness. How much did it cost me? $0! Ken straightened out the warranty from my local shop to be nationwide, and didn't even charge my local shop back East for the install. He located a used wiring harness, had it delivered to his shop and installed it. His tech Shannon also sent me on my way with his own personal computer reading device which you plug in under the dash. Shannon spent 10 minutes with me showing me how to use it in case I were to get another code from the solenoid preventing the downshifting, he showed me how to erase the code temporarily, making sure we'd get back home. We make the road trip home with no lights and all is good! Ken also made a personal call to me to see if I arrived home safely!? Are you serious? Customer service is still alive! If you need Transmission help I can't recommend this shop and crew enough. This is how business should be carried out! I'd give more stars if I could. read more

Brian and Ken and the crew at Eagle are amazing! Just when I was about to give up on my car (it left me stranded on 183 and Lakeline @10pm going to work) they announced that two single mothers in need were chosen to recieve their repair services at no charge. When I opened that e-mail that day stating that I had been chosen, I couldn't help but cry, I know God put them in my life as a saving Grace. My family had suffered a tragic loss in April of this year due to a drunk driver, we lost a dear friend, Haleigh, she was a 21 year old mother of a 4 year old little girl, my 23 year old brother Nolan now suffers from a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and my 18 year old son Brendon who was once a top athlete football player, track star and trained MMA can no longer participate in any contact sports due to a broken hip that is now replaced by titanium steel rods, a shattered pelvis and a ruptured kidney. The vehicle involved in the wreck was the only one we had. I had since purchased the one that broke down on me on 183 that night...i didn't have the funds to repair it, and that's when Brian, by some miracle contacted me and gave me the news that I had been chosen to recieve help. I picked up my truck today, it runs like a champ! so for those of you that actually saw my last bad post for these guys giving a little update i finally called KEN the GM back (who was the guy that was there that day who i gave the bad review about) and we talk for quite a while and let me tell you that man knows how to run a bussiness he explained in precise detail on why they couldnt do this or do that and extended his deepest apology for the mis-understanding and to be honest when i went in there i just caught him at a bad time because he was right in the middle of a very important call trying to get the rapist extended warranty company to cover this older mans repairs so he was going above and beyond for somebody else and i interupted that so i accepted his apology and extended my own apology for taking it the wrong way long story short KEN won my business back 10 fold multiplied by 1000 i have still yet to take my truck back to them for the repair but i am not hesitating in my decision to take it to them they are still and will always be the only guys i trust with a transmission hell they worked on my truck almost 6 years ago and only now am i taking it to them for a repair totally different from for what they did before so Brian...thats probably why you dont see my repair records its been a while so in conclusion i cant stress enough that KEN is one of the best managers i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and if you need any kind of trans work go to eagle transmission and speak with him you will NOT be disappointed read more

I can not tell you how happy I am with Eagle Transmission. I had my transmission rebuilt by another company a little over a year ago and have had nothing but trouble with is. I have had to bring it back seven times and it still was not right. I was left stranded again in rush hour traffic when I had had enough with the other place and called Eagle. They offered to send out their tow truck to come get me. When I arrived at Eagle I met Ken the office manager. A real nice guy who listened to me cry the blues about the other company. He assured me that I would have no issues like that at Eagle. He also told me that they were very busy but he would do his best to get my truck evaluated and give me a call. Less than 24 hours Ken gives me a call and lets me know that they found the problem and had already fixed it. Imagine my surprise and pleasure when Ken told me that there would be no charge. It was a minor thing and he just wanted me to have a good experience. He could have told me that I needed a new transmission and I would have believed him. The fact that Eagle did this for me speaks volumes about their integrity. I will make sure all my friends and family hear about this and any time anyone I know has a transmission problem I will feel very comfortable recommending Eagle. First off its hard giving 5 Stars to a company because they actually take your money! LOL However, EAGLE transmission is an outstanding repair facility to deal with. I recently had an issue with the transmission on my 2005 Ford F-150 XLT Super Crew. I had it towed to a local facility and paid $150 to be told it was a bad transmission and they could get me one installed for $4800. I asked a few questions reference what I read in forums about the same "out of the blue" issue and the responses were not what I expected...they didn't actually evaluate the transmission they just knew that it was bad because it didn't go into gear. Whaaaaat? No diagnostics at all? I was a little irked because I asked before having it towed to them if they did diagnostics like checking the torque converter solenoid, gears, etc and they responded that they had a tech that could do it. Well they actually didn't and when I spoke to the tech he said as much. So I had it towed over to Tony and the techs at Eagle Transmission. They let me know what they would do for diagnosis, figured out that it wasn't the entire transmission and completed the job in days not weeks at a FRACTION of the cost of the parts replacing facility. It's good to find a company you can rely on and because of their professional service and 3 year warranty I will do business with them again if the situation materializes in the future. read more

I finally got around to doing this review, but I guess better late than never. A couple of years ago, the transmission on my wife's 2003 Honda Odessey, was acting up and it finally gave out on us. She had been having transmission problems since 2005 and had brought it to a couple of shops up in the Dallas area. They had rebuilt, repaired, etc, the transmission but it really never ran correctly. Finally we called around and our friend who's family owns a shop in south Austin told us to go to Eagle Transmission, and luckily we found one in Cedar Park, because we really didn't want to go in to Austin if we didn't have to. Anyway, they had the car for about a week, and they did a phenomenal job. The car behaved like it was brand new. We were so happy we had made this investment because this vehicle was so dependable and transported us and our extended family. Plus their warranty was awesome as well. The people we worked with there were very friendly and courteous and explained exactly what was wrong and what they needed to do. Anyway, in the future I will be bringing all my cars here for transmission work. They do quality work and stand behind their workmanship. On a sad note, my wife was involved in a car accident in October of 2014, and they totaled the van... The engine and transmission were still great, but the undercarriage and frame were all bent beyond repair. read more

True professionals. I rely upon my truck for my work. No truck, no work.The transmission on my 2006 Dodge 2500 diesel started to slip Monday morning. After unloading it I took it in on Monday afternoon. Ken was great, realizing if I did not have my truck I was unemployed. He reassured me his shop could get me back on the road and providing for my family faster than any other shop. He kept me apprised of the cost and status throughout the repair process. He called at the times he said he would and at 3:30 PM Tuesday afternoon he called and said the transmission was repaired and being reinstalled on my truck. He said he would have it all completed and test driven by about 9:00 AM Wednesday. True to his word, I received a call at about 9:00 AM on Wednesday saying my truck was ready. By 1:00 PM on Wednesday I was taking care of my customers and supporting my family. I was the Maintenance Management Officer for the 1st Marine Division throughout the 1st Persian Gulf War. I know the effort and time it takes to rebuild transmissions, engines and other major components of vehicles, heavy equipment, and engine driven items. The speed of Ken's shop and to do it correctly is the sign of a true professional. I have had friends take there vehicles elsewhere and it took weeks. Don't waste your time anywhere else. Thank you Eagle Transmission for going above and beyond on every part of the process from communication to expertise! When your transmission throws you and your gears it is most inconvenient. If you are searching Yelp and landed here, I have been there most recently. Eagle Transmission answered my message after shop hours within 30 minutes and was prepared with tow truck or night drop options to get the process underway immediately. Next morning 10:00am they call and make sure I know they got the car out of night drop and are taking a look and driving it. By the afternoon they call and discuss problems in detail and explain what the parts do and most helpful. We even discussed finance options. Given it was Memorial Day holiday weekend, I dropped off on a Thursday and had it back by Tuesday good as new! Pretty phenomenal. For a Transmission replacement. Then I get a message a couple of days later (after they've got their $$) just checking up on me and seeing how the car is running. Wanted a family run business with integrity and found one. I had taken my truck to two places to diagnosis my transmission problems, and to work with my warranty company. Neither could deliver. Finally I found Eagle Transmission. Ken offered to have my truck towed to his place for free. I however dropped it off late at night using their drop box feature. Ken explained to me that they service 100 or so transmission s a year that involve a third party warranty company. This took the worries out of my mind. After their diagnosis, turns out, my transmission was low 3 liters. They refilled it, drove for 30 miles and asked me to get back with them in 10 days if it was still acting up. It appears it was a simple fux. When I asked Ken what I owed, he said it was on the house and to simply come back if I needed something in the future. My car failed on the side of I-35 on the way to work. It was originally towed to a general shop, but once I had the diagnosis (transmission and clutch), I asked for it to be towed to Eagle Transmission. They fixed my clutch a couple years back with great success (for the record, my clutch was fine - that's not why it needed replacing - until it tried to help my transmission that started failing). Tony and his guys took my car in immediately and got to work, diagnosing themselves and ordering parts. They drove me to a car rental shop and waited until I had a car. My car was fixed by the end of the day the NEXT day. He also beat the price the first shop gave me with a better warranty to boot. About a week after the rebuild/replacement, I needed a clutch adjustment, and they fixed that quickly, too, without charge. Thanks, Tony! For over a year, my transmission had been slowly failing. I took it in for an estimate and as a single parent in college, despaired because the cost was more than I would ever be able to afford. I prayed long and hard for an answer... my car is central to the function of our lives. If it had failed, my family would also have fallen apart. Eagle Transmission posted to Facebook that they would like to repair a car for a single mother like me, free of charge. As soon as I saw the post- I knew this was the answer to my prayers. We were headed back to El Paso from Manor, and about 40 miles north of Austin hauling our travel trailer when the clutch on our 6-speed manual decided it was time for a permanent vacation. Tony found a place to park the trailer while the truck was worked on, got us in right away. I even overheard him talking with his parts supplier, asking for a rush delivery on the new clutch, saying, "They're just passing through, and I want to get them on their way." They completed the job 45 minutes ahead of the initial estimate, and though arriving late, we made our campground reservation that night and completed our trip back home without incident. When it looked like things were really going to pot, Tony and his team saved the day. He even called the next day to make sure we hadn't had any additional problems! I can't say enough good with regards to Ken and Eagle Transmission. I called about a transmission problem Friday evening, knowing that they would be closed soon. They still sent a truck out to pick up my car and promised to have it checked out early Monday. Come Monday Ken told me that the issue wasn't severe and they were able to solve it very simply; plainly explaining what they found and what they did. He then also went above and beyond to tell me candidly the issues I could have down the road and admitted that I should consider trading it in before it came to a serious transmission issue. My thirteen year old F150's original transmission was on its last leg, I was probably lucky that I was able to drive it to Eagle. Not only did they call me with a free diagnosis quickly, they had it back to me the next afternoon with a new transmission with a 3 year warranty at a very fair, and much less than a Ford dealer supplied and installed transmission would have cost me. I didn't have a ride back to their shop when my F150 was ready, so they sent one of their mechanics to come to my house and get me! Their service manager asked that I bring my truck back after I had put 500 miles on the new transmission so they could check it out and make sure all was still good. Over the top service and work. I am so thankful to Eagle Transmission. Today I started my day stressed and worried that my transmission was out. I could not get my car to shift. I was referred to Eagle Transmission. I call and Tony answers and right away his great customer service started putting me at ease. He referred me to a Tow truck company and within 1 hr my car was picked up and on its way to Eagle Transmission. When I arrived Tony was professional and had a calming presence about him reassuring me that they were going to do everything they can do to assist me. They did not dissapoint me. The employees at Eagle Transmissions are polite and professional and my experience dealing with them was such a positive one that I had to post a review. I was told by a friend that my car problem might be a transmission problem so I went to Eagle Transmissions in my neighborhood, the Cedar Park, Tx. location. The manager, Ken, had my car checked out for transmission problems. He informed me that my transmission was fine and was not in need of servicing. Well, Ken at eagle transmission helped me out again. Two months ago my little Subaru needed to have a transmission rebuilt and a new clutch, I was impressed then. Recently my Ford Rancher failed the safety with an engine light on indicating two O2 sensors were bad. Since my mechanic retired and closed up shop, I stopped at Eagle for a recommendation. Ken said he could help me out and so he did. Replaced the sensors and made sure all was in order, no more engine light. This was done quickly and efficiently. Sure glad I found Eagle Transmission. I am a long time resident in Leander and recently lost my go to car repair place that was located near me. I looked at the reviews for Eagle Transmission and decided to give it a try. As I was about to enter the building I asked someone getting in their car if they used Eagle Transmission. The person said yes for many years and it was the only place he uses now. I thought I had a possible transmission problem but the Eagle team identified something else that did impact the shifting of gears but was a much cheaper fix than working on a transmission. Thankfully Eagle has a key drop, so the tow arriving after hours was fine. They must have looked my car over immediately the next day, because diagnostics were done quickly and I got a call early that morning. They kept me in the loop about the repair, explained what they were doing and why, answered the phone consistently to answer follow up questions I had, and went even more into detail about the repair when I arrived and asked additional questions about the mechanics of it. Just like a doctor who answers your questions, a mechanic who does the same helps put you at ease. It wasn't cheap (& what transmission work is?), but it was incredibly fast and I had my car back and repaired the same day diagnostics were run. Plus, the parts & labor came with a 1-year/12,000 mile warranty.

I needed some fluid changes done and while they were doing that they took a once over and quoted me on what could go wrong with such a high mileage car. This was so helpful in understanding what I might have to pay. It was really clear none of it needed to be done now, but like all cars of this mileage, it might be needed one day. This way nothing would be a surprise. They also know I like to tinker on my cars and do a few things myself. Always encourage me to do so but also willing to do it for me. Its a family run business and a real gem. I cannot say enough about these folks.

I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. I know that I am just one person, but maybe folks will read this to help them decide whether or not to do business with Mobile Auto Clinic. At the end, it's your decision, but this has been my experience with them. I was hoping to be a long-term customer with them, but that has been blown up. He actually told me it was an issue with my entire front windshield not being placed properly when being manufactured, and that due to the leaking because of this, the entire fabric below all of my interior and seats was probably drenched and that it was going to be a multi-thousand dollar fix as they would need to take out all of my interior and install new carpeting. I decided to go to the dealership and get a second opinion. They realized within 10 minutes it was indeed a leak in my sun roof (which remember, the mobile tech did not EVEN LOOK FOR.) it was an extremely quick fix and there was nothing wrong with my front windshield at all. (?????????????) I was told by management they would be reaching out to me after the winter break to discuss this and of course they never did. I absolutely should have gotten refunded the $140 or however the heck much it was for that mobile diagnosis. They also made a huge misdiagnosis with my husband's car previously, and I decided to give them another chance after that (but obviously should not have). The mechanics they hire are CLEARLY not qualified.

Had my car repaired there last week and the experience beginning to end was absolutely one of the best I have ever received from any auto mechanic! They went above and beyond to help me work with my budget get me financed and be able to get me a rental while they worked on my car and helped make sure I only got what I needed to continue to extend the life of my vehicle. Dwayne the owner even took me to the back and showed me how they look at vehicles and what they look for and their process and showed me how to understand the age and the wear and tear of my spark plugs my rotors as well as some of the other mechanics of my vehicle. Their knowledge of vehicles is unmatched and extensive and by far this allows them to ensure that they are able to adapt to any repair situation where they can under promise and over deliver. If you have a manual transmission, I strongly recommend taking your car somewhere else…read more I paid over $2,000 for a clutch replacement, and instead of fixing my car, I ended up with a whole new list of problems. First, the repair took about a week. I understand this was a couple of weeks before Christmas (last year), and shops can be short staffed or dealing with employees being out sick. What I don't understand is why I had to call every single day just to get an update. Communication throughout the entire process was almost nonexistent. The day I picked up my car, I noticed a strong burning oil smell just before I got home. I immediately turned around and drove back to the shop, where they discovered they had forgotten to reinstall a transmission seal. As a result, transmission fluid had leaked all over my exhaust. When I got home, I checked the transmission fluid myself and found it was nearly empty. Running a manual transmission that low on fluid can cause serious and potentially permanent damage. I took the car to another shop to have the fluid topped off, and they also discovered that Eagle Transmission had forgotten to reinstall one of the exhaust bolts that had been removed during the clutch job. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there... I began experiencing hydraulic issues with the clutch and returned to speak with the owner, Scott. I explained my concerns, including the fact that the transmission had never been properly refilled after they corrected the leak. Rather than addressing the workmanship, Scott's response was, "Your transmission is a piece of sh*t. It has spray paint on it, which means it's from a junkyard. You need a transmission rebuild, and that'll cost you another $2,000." If that were true, and my transmission was in such poor condition, you would think they would have mentioned it before installing the new clutch instead of after I returned with problems. To make matters even more concerning, Scott didn't even know where the transmission dipstick was while we were discussing the fluid level. I was so frustrated and insulted, I had to walk out. After receiving advice with another Eagle Transmission location in Cedar Park and doing some research, I returned a few days later and simply asked Scott if they could bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Even after our debate I offered to pay for the service, but he flat out refused. I'm a very patient individual and rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an automotive repair shop. Between the lack of communication, careless workmanship, missing hardware, a transmission left nearly empty of fluid, and the way my concerns were completely dismissed, I cannot recommend this location to anyone... especially if you own a manual transmission vehicle. I hope sharing my experience helps someone else avoid the frustration, wasted time, and unnecessary expense that I went through.
