My appointment was at 11 so I was a bit worried when I saw that my car wasn't taken into the shop until 11:30, but they had the tires changed and done in 15 minutes! The only reason I went back to discount tire today to use the road hazard warranty that I had purched when replacing these tires last month was purely for my OCD ways and wanting my set of 4 tires to match. The two technicians who arrived were extremely polite, professional, and understanding, knowing how eager we were to get safely back on the road. The payment process was also seamless -- they accepted Zelle, making it one of the easiest parts of an already smooth experience. However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.

I arrived at 5:30pm, close to their closing time, so I didn't expect fast service. But I counted at least 8 employees who saw that I was there but tried to avoid eye contact as I sat in my car. It was only when an employee drove in with a Discount Tire fleet service vehicle at 5:40pm when I was warmly welcomed and told that the workers in the office knew I was there and I would be assisted shortly. An employee helping another customer did also check on me from a distance. After another 8 minutes, an employee named Cameron came over to help...then proceeded to joke with one of his colleagues in the parking lot who was helping other patrons that his colleague needed to help me when he was done. His colleague was just as confused as I was. I asked Cameron for a tire check and tire pressure to a certain specification, which was done on only two of my tires. Cameron then tried to explain the mechanics of how tire pressures worked and how I didn't need my other two tires checked. I firmly asked him to check, which he did and filled my tires to the requested tire pressure. When it was done, the time was 5:52pm. For something that should have at most taken 10 minutes, this was a big time suck. All in all, I left frustrated and annoyed. The guy in the fleet vehicle did his job well. I much prefer the Discount Tire in Leander over this location.

The second time I went, I called around 7AM and asked if they could fix a side mirror I knocked off really quick. They said yes. I bring it in & ask for a diagnostic. They return it to me with the mirror still broken telling me I'd have to spend around $3,000 and wait two weeks to get fixed. I asked if I could bring a cheaper used mirror I found & pay them for labor and they said no - making me think this was beyond easy repair. I took it home, and my boyfriend fixed it easily with no tools. Disappointing.
