I love Josh's. When times are hard and you need some replacement rubber for the ride, you won't find a better group of guys to get you through to the next paycheck. When I first went 6 years ago they took great care of me. A month ago, needed them again. Within 15 minutes they got two used tires for my civic at a great price. Fast, friendly, efficient. A week later I realized there was a defect on one of my tires. Brought the ride back in and they honored the warranty they promised the minute I produced my receipt. No questions, no BS, just great customer service and a smile. I couldn't ask for anything more. Please do note - this IS a used tire shop. If you're expecting the interior accouterments of a Beverly Hills spa, you'll be sadly disappointed. From the top. Had a tire blow out on my birthday. Josh's was open so I went there. Plus he said he had the correct tire size... he didn't. Drove on mismatch tire for a week with the promise that he'd get me the correct one. Anyways I went and bought tires on face book market place. Went back to mount them hoping he'd take his tire back and do it for free. They scratched my custom rims to hell. Later found out from joeys down the road which I STRONGLY RECOMMEND. Joeys Automotive. They told me he clamped the tire from the inside which was a no no. Scratched up both my rims. Anyways he discovered that the rim was bent. So I said I'd get it fixed somewhere else because his guy said "maybe" when Josh asked him if he could fix it. He strongly insisted that they could get it fixed like new........ After hitting my aluminum rim with a sledgehammer... they finally cracked my rim. I would have gladly went down the road anywhere else. And should have. He had no remorse for anything he did and still charged me for "fixing" the bent rim. I had to buy a new one as he took no responsibility whatsoever. Took it to Joey's down the road and BOOM. 20 minutes NOT A SCRATCH. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND MONEY AND GO TO JOEYS. I even asked him if he'd mount the tire on the new rim for free. He said sure. But I never took him up on that because why the FUCK would I after the experience I had. I've never came across a used tire shop that sells USED tires for the price of NEW tires. I think manners and customer service are still foreign concepts to Josh. Don't make the same mistake I did just because it was "close by" or has "cheap tires". He will "cut you a deal" and proceed to install BALD, not used but BALD tires on your car and still have the audacity to charge you $75 a tire. please just go to Walmart or something I get it used tires aren't perfect let alone the shops distributing them, however I was still expecting a decent set of tires if he's charging $75/tire but no. He doesn't sell used tires it seems he sells over priced roadside liabilities and will still charge you even more for mount and balance $22/tire. Absolutely the biggest rip off In town avoid at all cost. I had a small nail in my tire and took it in to get repaired. Asked for a plug, and was told that they would plug and patch. I said ok, I've had several tires plugged over the years. After about 45min the guy brings the tire out and puts it back on. Go inside to pay and he gave me an invoice for 79.99 !'!! To plug a tire, I blew up and reduced to 69..99. That is insane for a tire repair. Bought two tires bc I needed something quick since mine were in the threads. Josh said my valves stems were bad and they broke when changing the tire. Told him that oh then it should be free bc y'all broke it without coming to me saying they're gonna break. He said no u gotta pay for those. Keep in mind I bought two tires. Total came to 400+. He said they're brand new. I went out there look at them they were intact not brand new not even close and I confronted him and he said how do u know there not new. Pulled him out with me and I proceeded to pull my tread depth tool out and showed him the treads are sitting at 4/32nd of an inch. (New tires are 10-12/32nd of inch) he still proceeded to tell me I had to pay I said fix the price and I will. He argued with me. I utilized this establishment to obtain a used tire. Upon replacing my rim with a used tire, they broke my tire sensor. I called them back to notify them of this issue. When i called , i spoke with the owner who was trying to make all these excuses on how my tire sensor messed up on its own. When i disagreed and told them they messed up my tire pressure sensor, the owner became rude, vulgar, and disrespectful. He even cussed me out! VERY unprofessional!!! I contacted the shop the day before as I had been calling around to find my size tire and finally called the right place. Josh's Used Tires had the size I needed! I went in on a Sunday afternoon and almost as soon as I pulled in, Mark came out to assist me. He was very pleasant and attentive my entire visit. Him and the rest of the team jumped right to work! They found me a great quality used tire for an extremely reasonable price. Mark made some future recommendations for service to my tires and he even replaced some valve stem caps that were missing. I should've read the reviews before taking my car there, everything like all the other reviews say is true, I called them because two of my tires popped and I needed them to give me two new tires, when I called and spoke to them they quoted me $250 let them know everything they needed to know about the car so you would think the quote would stay the same, they also said they would call if anything changed and I didn't receive any calls so I thought everything was good and that I could go pick up no issues, when I picked up they charged me $500 and they did the change of tires to my car before calling to let me know the change in price. on 12/20/23 I was at a job in Leander and had two of my trailer tires got punctured at the same time and had to get two replacement tires ASAP. I started calling the used tire shops in the area. I called Josh's Used Tires and he said he only had new tires that I was looking for. I mentioned my temptation to go to discount tire if I had to buy new ones since they have multiple locations and I lived an hour away. He spouted out some price that discount tire would charge me and assured me I would save money by buying the tires from them. so I get there and two trailer tires out the door was $347. I was back on the road, whatever... so 60 days later (yesterday) one of the trailer tires had a tiny leak on the shoulder of the tire, but still within the tread. nothing in the tire, zero visible signs of a puncture or damage. I went to discount tire buy my house and even though I hadn't bought the tire from them, they said they would be happy to patch the tire for free but ended up saying it was too close to the sidewall for them to repair and that it needed to be replaced. Then they informed me that the price of an equivalent new tire out the door would only be $87. Half of what I paid for a single tire at Josh's Used Tires and Wheels. I call and talked to Josh before driving an hour over there and he told me "straight up im not giving you a free tire and we won't try to patch it for free either". I paid DOUBLE what it would've costed at Discount Tire and got the absolute worst customer service possible. This guy is a total sleeze ball running a shady ass business. I took my 4runner here to get rims and tires mounted that I had bought elsewhere, I had the wrong size lug nuts so the tech suggested I go next door to Advance Auto Parts to get the right ones but the owner (Josh) insisted he'd go get them so he could use his discount, he proceeded to charge me $127 for 20 lug nuts that I found out later were $40.99 and on top of that he even charged me tax so they ended up costing $134 and then he even had the nerve to tell me he saved me $13 with his discount. My wife went there today to either get her tire repaired or get a used tire for her 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, not to get her AC checked without her asking and get a fee charge of $30.00! She just asked the tire person if he knew of a good car AC guy. I went there before with my personal car and all went fine but this time, I think because my wife went, they totally ripped her off! My wife got charged a total of $154.81 for the used tire, mount and balance, Sensor? Labor for the AC (appears that he just looked at it), You can view the receipt for yourself and see the unnecessary charges. Had him work on my truck to take off spacers, and one of his guys forgot to take off one of the lug nuts before banging on my truck. After bending my spacers in they had to cut two of my studs off and he charged me an extra $400 and said that it wasn't their fault. 2 days later after they replaced 2 of my studs, they both came loose and my tire about fell off and he said it's a part malfunctioning and he couldn't do anything about. This place cannot be trusted. I bought 2 used tires at $100 each plus $20 Mount and balance. $240 total. I was given a receipt and told I had a 30 day warranty on the tires. Immediately one of the tires was leaking so I took it back the following week. The guy said yes we will replace the tire unless there is a nail in it. Well guess what? They took the tire off and told me it would be $25 repair because of a nail. I did not believe them that there was a mail in it so I told them to put the tire back on. The guy told me they don't work for free like he wanted to charge me for taking the tire off. That is rediciclous! They ended up putting tire back on and I left. The next day I took tire to Discount Tiré and they showed me there was no mail in the tire just an old tire repair that was leaking. Josh's used tires lied to me, did not guarantee the tire like they said and even tried get more money out of me! They sold me a bad used tire. Also come to find out the other tire they sold me was a tire made in 2012, 10 year old used tire for $100. This place is one big deception! I advise everyone reading this to stay away! read more
