DO NOT GO HERE, CUSTOMER BEWARE I recently paid $140 to have tires installed on my truck. After 2 days of driving, only 11 of the 32 lugnuts on my truck were tight. I nearly had a wheel fall off my truck which could've killed me and whoever I was near on the highway. I called the shop to inform them and I was told flat out that the mechanic did not use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts, just an impact gun. The service advisor then told me that apparently this is not their fault because "I was not paying to have tires bolted onto my truck"... tell me how a MOUNT AND BALANCE doesnt include having your wheels being bolted back onto your vehicle. I wouldn't trust A&B to tell me the time of day, let alone touch my car. Edit: I have a 5 minute audio recording of a conversation with this shop - in which they dodge my question about using a torque wrench, restate they "aren't scared if I try to sue", and immediately hang up after they heard the automated "this call is no longer being recorded" read more

I've been taking my cars here for years. They are honest, communicate well. They diagnose and call to give you an estimate before any repairs are done. They also stand by their work, keeping solid records so they can look back and see what they've done. I've referred my dad and son to them as well. I highly recommend. read more

Bad experience with these guys today. I take both my foreign cars there to be serviced. Always goes very well. Owner is cool. Today I got stranded down in Westlake area and had to have my vehicle towed. Also had my sick 15 month toddler with me. Here's why. . Had a large screw in my tire. I have a 2018 Porsche Macan and the spare needs to be inflated. I don't have a compressor. I told Juan I'm going to have to use a sealant in order to drive my car to the ship. Juan was rude to me. Told me not to use sealant to avoid " getting that mess all over my machine. " really? I don't do business with selfish and rude people. I'll take my 2 vehicles elsewhere. Excellent customer service is the absolute most important aspect of doing business for me. read more

*AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE* Well I brought my vehicle here the first time to get the alternator replaced and all went well so I decided to bring the vehicle back for more repairs . Plus they have a cat and I love cats ... Let's just say I drove the vehicle there running and within 2 days the car had to be towed out of there . I made a tiktok video of the whole experience and i'll try to share the link below . If I am unable to share the link just look it up with my name and you'll find it. So in the first video you'll see I am picking the car up from the business after the harmonic balancer was supposedly " fixed" and I record the sounds before driving it off the lot after hours. I call the next morning and they said to bring it back at 10am . Well before I am able to bring it back the car breaks down. I show in pictures and video that everything was still intact except the belt. I then towed the vehicle back to them. After they look at the vehicle they said the AC compressor was dangling basically by a thread and that 3 of the 4 bolts had broken off into the block . That is untrue considering I took many pictures of the ac compressor just moments before the tow truck came to get my vehicle and it was still intact. I couldn't afford to fix the car because the price was unknown and they couldn't promise they would be successful in attempting to fix the car. The worst part (besides the car not being able to run and that the car smelt like cigarettes and was covered in oil) is that when I had the car towed back home the ac compressor was not secured and was dangling to the ground . I had car parts in my front seat and they kept my hardware(bolts) from the ac compressor which are hard to find because my car is 17 years old . I believe they kept the bolts on purpose so I wouldn't have evidence. I sent my ex up there while they were working on the car and he said the bolts looked like it was cut at a 45 degree angle . Bolts dont just break like that . I will be calling today to get my bolts back or they can buy new bolts . Either way I need the hardware . I ended up having to buy a new car . *LADIES DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE . ESPECIALLY IF YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS * I should have went to our family mechanic but he is all the way in Austin off Lamar . Im sure the business will reply with some smart ass comment trying to defend themselves. Their mistake cost me $12,600 in the end and trust me when I say I didn't have it hence why my car is 17 years old . Always take pictures and videos of your journey when going anywhere . Paper trail is always good to have as evidence because with mechanics it's their word against yours . The pictures are in order and captioned . Normally don't have any issues with A&B but in this case they really dropped the ball. Charged me $500 for a door switch that cost $24.99 online. I called and got a crazy explanation, which changed several times. Just a phone call to me before they got this item would have solved the whole thing (because I wouldn't have authorized the part or work). Probably looking for a new place to take the cars. Funny, the owner just called and instead of an apology.... defended the fact that they charged me $500 for a $25 part. All I wanted was transparency on what they were fixing...essentially they charged the same as the dealership (same one as where I bought the car and they got the part). Learned an important lesson though...don't assume that A&B will be looking out for your best interest when fixing/charging you for auto repair. read more

They took over 6 weeks to diagnose the car needed a new engine. Had us buy over $600 in parts before they came to that diagnosis. They kept saying the car would be ready on Friday. After getting upset with them they told me to come pickup my vehicle or they would have it towed and impounded! They do not care about the customer. read more

Service was horrible, i came here just to get a rounded 8mm bolt off and they tried for over 2 hours to get it off. They supposedly welded a bolt to take it off. they showed me the work in progress and i saw no weld marks!! I am positive that these "experts" could have a taken out a measly rounded bolt. Obvious could have taken out the bolt but you rather make it seem like its impossible so you can change the whole part just to try and charge me more but thank you for the discount . Long story short, my hybrid Ford escape broke down in Grapevine Tx. I towed it to a Ford dealership, they told me it was going to cost over $11,000 to replace my Hybrid battery. I called A&B (they have worked on this vehicle before) and they told me they didn't think that the hybrid battery was bad, they even went so far as to call the dealership and ask them what the codes were. After some vague information from the dealership, they suggested I have the car towed to their shop for a free diagnosis. After paying Ford almost $200 for a diagnostic fee I did just that. A&B fixed it on a Saturday and with a fresh inspection all for just over $400. These guy saved me the cost of buying a new car I honestly have never taking a vehicle to a more honest garage and they have earned a lifelong customer. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. A&B may look like a busy, overcrowded neighborhood repair garage. However, the true judging of this facility is not based on curb appeal, but, on their ability to perform a multitude of complex repair issues including exceptional body repair. Recently I needed to have repairs done due to an unwelcomed meeting my wife had with a FedX truck. My Insurance company estimated the repairs over $2000 short of what was truly needed. Thanks to A&B and their comprehensive assessment and experience working with major Insurance carriers they acquired the extra funds and completed the repair on time and on budget. A&B may be a neighborhood repair facility, however, their capabilities and customer-focused raise them above other shops where you are just a number and an invoice. And thats no Bull! read more

These guys are always timely and honest about my car. I have gone to them for about a year now, and they have never once tried to up sell me on anything; I get oil changes and that's it. At most places, I feel like they're always telling you how badly you "need to replace your filter or your car might explode." Not with these guys! One time, I went in to get an oil change knowing the pressure in my tires was super low. I didn't mention anything because I kind of wanting to test them. YEP! They caught it! They filled the air in my tires for me and then said I should get new tires pretty soon. (I knew that too and was also glad they mentioned it.) They are thorough and they care. I was very impressed with the service I got at A&B. I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation and was helped quickly. The service took about an hour. The best part was that I wasn't bullied into any extra services. I told them what I wanted, and they gave me just that. When a problem arose with my car, they took me into the garage to show me the problem, but let me decide how to handle it without pressuring me into one decision or the other. At $45, the oil change and tire rotation was a bit more expensive than going to Jiffy Lune or another chain mechanic, but getting honest and courteous treatment is worth it to me. read more

Let me start by saying that I have taken my vehicle in on three occasions and have spent close to 2 grand there. I have had mixed experiences, one good, one meh and on that is the reason I am posting this review.I had taken my truck in on a Monday morning for a check engine light. $350.00 and 4 days later, I called to see if my vehicle was done. The work had been completed, but I never received a call from A&B. I told the employee on the phone to put the key under the floor mat, because I would not be able to get there before they closed. He said, "I will make sure that I get the key there before we close." I walked over there about a mile from my home to get to A&B. No big deal, that's on me. I ended up getting there about 20 minutes after they closed, only to find my truck in the back lot, with the passenger window down, the doors unlocked and no key in sight...anywhere. So I walked to the front of the building and notice the lights are on the open sign is still flashing and there is a cat inside. I called their phone number and knocked on the door repeatedly. No answer. There was nothing I could do at this point, so I walked back home. My experience has been an inconvenience, and I can't trust a company that doesn't keep their word or show any respect for my property. read more
