Pops is a cool place to take out-of-towners but I would never go there to eat no matter if Tuesdays are half off burgers. Food was very disappointing but luckily the company was great. Their coke bottle was also not working which was one of the main reasons we decici to go and show our friend. Pops feels more like a place where pop/soda/fizzy drinks go to die. It's fun to check out this Route 66 spot due to the large bottle outside greeting you into the establishment, but for the actual products inside, I thought it was pretty hit or miss. There are literally hundreds of different kinds of pop lined up in massive fridges that you can choose to purchase. You can grab an empty six-pack box and fill it with a variety of drinks for about $12. It's a kids dream to be able to pick and choose what they'd want from a curious batch of drinks. While it was fun, we didn't particularly end up liking most of the flavors we got. From root beers to Shirley temples, ginger drinks to raspberry fizz- there's literally an option for everyone that is willing to venture out here for the experience. Hopefully you will have a better experience tasting your beverages compared to us. We ended up only liking one out of six bottles that we had purchased, but all in good fun. Overall, definitely worth a visit, but don't expect to like everything that you taste. read more

Personally I am very bummed about this because I used to come here often due to the quality and price but from now on I will not return. The service is normal for a burger joint. It is a tourist trap, not a tourist destination. The service was terrible, they may have been over worked, however the order was not correct and could not get some to fix it, the whole table,was done eating before I got my food fixed and could not eat with everyone. A great stop along Route 66 in Oklahoma. We just went to Pops Soda not to the restaurant. They literally have hundreds of sodas to choose from every flavor you can think of including flavors like bacon and butter also barf flavored soda. This place was packed so it is a very popular stop on Route 66. The giant soda bottle outside is nice great for pictures and Instagram. The sodas were $2.49 each plus tax. If I am ever on that route again I to stop at night when that giant soda bottle is lighted up. read more

What a cool place, conveniently located along the infamous Route 66. The hubby had seen it on some show, so yay him and his nerdy road-trippin self. It's these unique spots that make long drives fun and bearable. You can't miss it because there's really nothing else exciting for miles. Also, there's a huge soda statue, right in front, which makes for a great photo opp. There are several gas pumps out front and plenty of parking. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a huge glass wall of sodas, upon sodas. It's pretty cool, visually. There is literally every soda pop you can imagine here, even barf flavored, yuck! lol! The OG Crush bottles were so cool to see! And I loved the "Dang!" soda bottles! We knew we wanted to eat, so we were greeted upon entering and sat immediately. I think we finished right before the local lunch rush, which consisted of construction workers. The service was great! Our server was a really sweet gal. A few of the staff were smiley and friendly, others were just meh. After ordering, we were able to go select a soda and bring it back to enjoy with our meal, thought that was a cool concept. The food was just okay. Nothing exciting, but we kinda figured so, so expectations weren't set too high. I got a cheeseburger and presentation was sloppy, but flavor was, well, just a regular burger, I guess. Hubby got a chicken sandwhich and he said it was meh. We shared regular fries, which were crispy and yummy! After eating, I shopped for some novelties and of course sodas! So many fun selections to choose from. I bought a total of 12 sodas to bring home for my nieces & nephews; they're gonna love it. I mean, Martian Poop soda, amirite?! lol!!! Pops is one of our family favorite things to do! A nice sunny day and a drive on Route 66 with a stop at Pops equals such a fun time for us. Finding a soda is like a treasure hunt! They have so many options to choose from. We have eaten here twice and the food is delicious! The burgers are really good and the fries are tasty. My mother ordered the chili dog and it was a lot of food! Inside it is always clean and the staff are usually friendly. On our last trip our server was excellent! Keep in mind on weekends and days that are a school holiday will most likely be busy, especially around lunch. read more

I'll be honest, I'm mostly giving this place four stars for the cool/novelty factor. It's really cool to see so many weird sodas in one place, and the shop itself is really a sight to see. We didn't have food, but we did get a six pack of sodas, including a bacon flavored one (strange) and some others. The food offerings are pretty much standard grill fare, but there are also some novelty/retro candies that are nice to see. Photo ops abound both inside and out, with the huge wireframe bottle outside, and the dozens of bottles in the large, angled windows on the front of the building. It's definitely a neat stop along the road if you're a fan of soda or kitschy places! read more

There's always a first time for everything right? Well, I was glad that one of the pit stops was at Pops while I was visiting OKC. If you're traveling or trekking Route 66, this is definitely a rest stop. I love the idea! Pops is a very unique place; a place where you can grab a soda pop, souvenirs or even a bite to eat. If you're eating at the restaurant, you have to wait quite a while to get a table and the ambience is like a loud tourist gift shop with small tables. The architecture and general layout reminded me of an old school soda/malt shop with a little bit of a contemporary twist to it. It would be nice if they maybe had some outdoor seating. Got to love the décor outside, though. It's a ginormous bottle with a straw in it and check it out...it lights up in different colors. O_O Overall, this place is definitely a tourist attraction. The soda was actually expensive, but then I guess it was all worth it because most of the pops are made with REAL sugar and not HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). I really wanted to visit this place for some time, ever since my very first trip to Oklahoma. Having a shop in the airport was a brilliant move, since I'm not sure I would have known about this place otherwise. I'd also seen a brochure in a hotel at one time, but I think that was more random of a sighting. The airport location definitely brought it more to my attention. I was a bit surprised to find that Pops is basically a gas station with an epic convenience store attached to it. But, this isn't just any pop shop. This place has a full working cafe/diner, and a wall of over 700 different varieties of soda. What's the big deal, you say? Well, to my brother and in some regards me, off-the-wall sodas are really cool. I'll go out of my way for a Sprechers or Boylans, a Virgils or Maine Root beverage. So, to find a shop that's dedicated to the art of crafting fine sodas, well... sign me up! What I also dig about the place is the new-yet-classic Route 66 design, both in the architecture (which is really more art deco than anything), and the kitschy accoutrements, like the two story soda bottle out front. (It wasn't lit up when I was there, but hope springs eternal). The selection of sodas is definitely the largest I've ever seen. There were some familiar hard-to-find brands (Vernor's, Ale-8-One, Moxie), more common craft ones (Jones, Virgils), and your standard Coke, Pepsi, and related products. There's really something for every taste bud, even wacky ones like Grocery (made with pepper, chilis, bay leafs, etc.). The food wasn't bad either, which (if I'm being honest) somewhat surprised me. This didn't look like the place to grab a great meal, but the simple-but-reasonable menu had some classic roadside stop faves, like burgers and sandwiches, mostly. But, the burgers were actually good. I had the Edmond, which comes with sauteed mushrooms and swiss cheese. Usually, the 'mushroom-swiss' option disappoints, since neither flavor really comes through. Not so at Pops, though. You could definitely get full bodied flavors of both sharp swiss cheese, and savory woody notes from the mushrooms. Nothing was too strong, or hidden in the background; it was a perfect blend of flavors. The fries left something to be desired, but they were made wonderful by the homemade (I'm told) ranch and BBQ sauces. Both had their own special flavor, but the barbecue was clearly made in house and with local soda. Overall, this was a great stop and I'm so glad I finally got out here. I would absolutely stop by here again, and bring my brother if he's free. This place is really cool! read more

Absolutely love coming here, especially in the spring and fall. Summer is good too, but it gets really crowded then. We came around 4pm, and it was practically empty. It's rare to see this. The temps outside were in the 70s, so hubby rode his motorcycle and I followed him in the car. I can't ride anymore, but I enjoy meeting motorcycle people that come here all the time. I like wandering around the store and looking at all the flavors of sodas. A couple of years ago, my grandson bought the bacon soda. I laughed my bum off when he took the first swig. Not all sodas taste that great. However, they have just about every combination you can imagine. There are many Pops and Route 66 souvenirs available for a reasonable price. Now on to the food. If you are looking for big burgers and salads, you won't get them here. Their fountain drinks are awesome! Better than Sonic...of course that's my opinion. The kids and teenagers love it here. Yes, the seating is limited, and can take quite awhile to get one. It gets loud and crazy which my grandkids love. The kids have never complained about the food. The only improvement would be larger sized burgers/sandwiches for adults. I always order their layered salad, and it looks small, but I can never finish it, and tastes so very good and fresh. This is a fave spot of our car club for a quick OKC area cruise. This was the first time we took the time to eat and I was pleased. The burger was good as were the fries. My favorite part was the shake. It was a little pricey but worth it for the special events. We always grab a few bottles of specialty pop to put on a shelf but it is too expensive to drink! Haha!
