Everyone tells me, there is some good food around Guthrie but no Mexican. El Taco Loco never came up in the discussion of places to avoid so when I was driving by El Taco Loco I figured I'd find out for myself. I usually start with street tacos when I'm going to a new truck because if they make a good street taco, at least I have a go to. Very few times have I found somewhere that makes a good street taco and the rest of the food isn't good. We shall see, because these street tacos were superb! I ordered two carnitas and an asada. Total was $6. That's my style!! All were delicious! They came with the usual toppings, along with some grilled onions, peppers and a few sauces. I especially like the green sauce. The tacos were a little greasy, but not in a bad way. Not like the grease was dripping or making the tortillas soggy. Nope, just enough to add that little extra taste. Real food. They have a cool little patio area if you want to eat them there (it's a truck). I ordered mine to go. Service was quick and pleasant. I actually can't wait to go again. My only problem was I didn't order enough!

If you're a vegan or vegetarian they have grilled asparagus and grilled zucchini (YUM) and also bacon stuffed mushrooms which are dangerously addictive. but my FAVORITE thing they have are the pork tacos!! Now that's something I can not NOT taco bout. Those things will have me planning my schedule around the food trucks. One time I took home 15 order of tacos (2 tacos come in 1 order) just so everyone I know would understand my obsession. The owners are very nice and won't hesitate to have a conversation with you. I ordered the chimichanga with beef - their beef is not necessarily ground but smaller chopped pieces of steak which works perfect for me when it comes to easily eating and cutting into it. It was smothered in a delicious queso sauce accompanied with rice, beans and potatoes. Definitely yummy! We will always continue to come back because it's worth it.
