Beef brisket, fried eggs, and rosemary hash.

I've come here more times than I can recall. I drive here just for coffee more often than food but I have had the pleasure of trying a few items from their menu. I've tried their breakfast burrito, avocado BLT, and brisket. The burrito is made well & pairs with the local hot sauce they serve. The avocado BLT has been my favorite, I add a fried egg to it. I was saddened to hear their menu changed for fall but cannot wait to have it again soon. Their blueberry muffins are also really good. I've only ever eaten inside but why also have outdoor seating. The staff are always so pleasant. I can't think of a time I've not had a good experience.. whether dining in or having food to go.

Poppyseed Kitchen is goodness. Stopped in and was promptly seated. Decided to go with the Biscuit and Gravy with eggs over easy. It took a while for the food to come out which was strange because it wasn't that busy yet. Food eventually arrived and the egg was cooked perfectly. The gravy was delicious but the star was the biscuits. They were fantastic. Only drawback for this visit was the service in general not just from the kitchen but also the waitress. Just very slow and again it wasn't that busy yet so not sure what the issue was but the food as noted as really good. If you are looking for a delicious breakfast, stop by Poppyseed.

Pancakes and chai latte were so amazing. Super friendly service! We love it here and will definitely be back

Too much going on with the grits (for me)

Today wasn't a good experience. Waited forever for our server to come to us (I understand it was busy), our fruit tasted like onion (must've used the same knife to cut). The grits is too busy. Too many things going on. The chicken sandwich was amazing though. Will be coming back for that. Ambiance is great.

"The Grit" & a hazelnut latte-perfect as always.

I take myself here on a date every Sunday. And for good reason. I can always rely on Poppyseed to come through with delicious, delicate pastries, a warm, inviting atmosphere and service that is never short of above-and-beyond. While my meal today took some time to come out, the team lovingly let me know (without my asking, I might add) that they took a percentage off of my bill AND had a raspberry croissant with my name on it to take home-to apologize for any inconvenience. After my breakfast, I came home, more than happy with my experience (as usual), and the first thing I did was call my lawyer to rewrite my will and put Poppyseed Kitchen as the #1 beneficiary.

There's a lot of competition these days among breakfast restaurants but I believe Poppyseed Kitchen is the best in the area. This review is a bit of a cheat as I've been here umpteen times previously. However my prior visits were all for pickup orders; my practice is to only post for restaurants I've dined in. So this time I stayed and was rewarded. The Stuffed French Toast, always delicious, was even better without taking it home. The bread still had firmness which gave the dish much more texture. I recommend pairing the toast with a side of bacon, the crispy saltiness provides a wonderful contrast. There are many other excellent choices on the menu. The Ranch Hash is my personal savory favorite. The brisket is in bite-size chunks which add flavor and "heft" to the rosemary potatoes . And try sunny-side up eggs on top for some runny yolk with the hash. Trust me, it's a great combination. And don't forget fresh-baked pastries. A definite highlight, the menu is changed - daily? At least, they never have the same options when I've visited. Homemade pop-tarts, anyone? The service is excellent , the coffee is delicious. And hey, Bob Ross was on the television painting fluffy little clouds as entertainment. Highly recommended!

We went here, a while in the area for a volleyball tournament after seeing the reviews on yelp. So glad we did. The service and the food were excellent. There was a muffin I wanted that they were out of and the sweet waitress brought me a cookie free of charge that she thought I would like based on the muffin. Can't wait to go back.

Super cute place, great for kids they had games and extras to entertain little ones. The service was incredible and the food was just as good! Would highly recommend.

My go to spot- always delicious. Highly recommend a side of ranch to go with their deliciously crispy fries. Tried my friends iced latte - delish and not overly sweet.

Stopped by late morning. Got lucky with seating because a bunch of early birds were finishing breakfast so it was a very short wait. Sat outside with a nice breeze, feeling like fall is here. Food was delicious. Cups of coffee were constantly refilled! Brisket Hash was perfect. French Toast was delicious for those that need sugar in the morning.

Shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles

Loved the casual nature of this place. We were sat pretty quickly even though it was busy especially on a Friday. We got the chicken and waffles as well as the shrimp and grits. The grits were actually good and had great flavor. I think the concept of it being all deconstructed upon getting it was pretty interesting. The real star here was the chicken and waffles. Oh my gosh that chicken flavor was all you could ask for. Spicy and sweet and it was cooked perfectly with a crispy outside.

Cute comfy spot with sandwiches and breakfast foods. Food taste farm to table for sure. The waitlist was great to use as they do not accept reservations and are pretty busy on a Saturday at 1pm. They close at 3pm so the crowd slowed down around 2pm. Service was friendly and fast. Had the poppyseed pancakes 3/5. Not as sweet as I expected the texture of the pancake was perfect however. The bacon was really good and the Rosemary potatoes were as named! Their scrambled eggs taste a lil strange to me. Taste as if they add something but I forgot to ask. They do have mimosas and a small selection of wine and beer. The brunch didn't leave me wanting more but I would come back to try their lunch selection! Worth a visit!

Fresh and I mean fresh baked cornbread cookie. Oh damn it was good.

Sorry for the language.... But gosh darn that was delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing and the service was spot on. If we didn't live 2400 miles away, we would come back again and again.

I was a bit early for lunch arriving around 11:30 am. There was only two people in this very cute restaurant. Lots of table and chairs inside and outside for seating. I was a bit overwhelmed trying to take everything in. They have a counter top where you can see them cutting actual chicken and potatoes for the fries and placing them into what appears to be high pressure deep fryers. This place has been set up to make you the best pieces of chicken you can get. I ordered The Beaut (minus the mayo) a large chicken breast covered in a crispy batter and perfectly deep fried! There was a good amount of pickles with the sandwich, like 4 or 5 which really covered the entire sandwich so you always got a bit of them. The bun was not my favorite. I'm not sure how to describe it. A little smushed is the best way I guess. I also ordered a 6 piece bites package. These things were full on huge chunks of chicken they seasoned and deep fried. I don't normally like to take pictures of food partially eaten but I had to show what one of the bites looked like after taking a bite. They were large, hot and cooked to perfection. I did try some of their BBQ sauce. Not a big fan but it wasn't bad. I also got an order of the skin on hand cut fries! OMG they were so good! They gave me a large bag of hot fries that just totally completed this meal! And I'm talking they should have come with a warning they were so hot! Loved it! As I was waiting for my order to be bagged I notice the large cookies and the glazed hand pies they had on the counter. This isn't like other major food chains so the price is a little higher but you are getting quality food. If you are looking for some good fried chicken and hot fries then I highly recommend this place!

I later talked with Tony, one of the owners, who was extremely helpful as we went over the issue. Unfortunately, my bad, there was little he could do to rectify the situation and to determine just why the steak was not to my satisfaction. For whatever the reason, I can assure you, as I did with Tony, that when my wife and I return that is there are any issues I will immediately bring it up to the manager. The shop also has a small bar and a small dining area. Friendly staff, nice menu, comfortable atmosphere. Menu specials offered, most of us ordered the meatball lunch with red sauce, mozzarella cheese , fried grits with goat cheese, others ordered a crab cake sandwich, Cuban sandwich, side of mushrooms and a side of hot honey brussel sprouts We all liked what we ate. However for me the fried grit squares had no detection of goat cheese in them and seemed to me not the best addition to compliment the meatballs. The mushrooms tasted standard. However we all loved the hot honey roasted brussel sprouts and I enjoyed them more than the meatballs! Food plately nicely, brought out hot, good portions size. We certainly would return and try somet other menu choices.
