I've been wanting to check out this cute location since it opened and I finally was in the area around lunch time to give them a try. I was a bit early for lunch arriving around 11:30 am. There was only two people in this very cute restaurant. Lots of table and chairs inside and outside for seating. I was a bit overwhelmed trying to take everything in. They have a counter top where you can see them cutting actual chicken and potatoes for the fries and placing them into what appears to be high pressure deep fryers. This place has been set up to make you the best pieces of chicken you can get. I ordered The Beaut (minus the mayo) a large chicken breast covered in a crispy batter and perfectly deep fried! There was a good amount of pickles with the sandwich, like 4 or 5 which really covered the entire sandwich so you always got a bit of them. The bun was not my favorite. I'm not sure how to describe it. A little smushed is the best way I guess. I also ordered a 6 piece bites package. These things were full on huge chunks of chicken they seasoned and deep fried. I don't normally like to take pictures of food partially eaten but I had to show what one of the bites looked like after taking a bite. They were large, hot and cooked to perfection. I did try some of their BBQ sauce. Not a big fan but it wasn't bad. I also got an order of the skin on hand cut fries! OMG they were so good! They gave me a large bag of hot fries that just totally completed this meal! And I'm talking they should have come with a warning they were so hot! Loved it! As I was waiting for my order to be bagged I notice the large cookies and the glazed hand pies they had on the counter. This isn't like other major food chains so the price is a little higher but you are getting quality food. Staff was friendly, food was quick I got the cheesy Beaut the sandwich was a good chicken sandwich crisp not greasy. Good flavor for a standard chicken sandwich, a little more mayo than I prefer, but it's dukes which is outstanding. My daughter is obsessed with Bossy Beulah's. The staff is always friendly, it's clean and the food is always fresh. I do find the fries a little salty, but so good. I do wish they offered a more traditional ranch, but honestly the chicken doesn't need it. read more

Opened on 7/31/23 - welcome to the neighborhood! I waited in line for a half-hour to be one of the first to try this place, Yep, I'm from the South and I like my chicken! It didn't disappoint! Mr Jim Noble was standing at the door greeting customers and dishing out samples of the Beulah Bites. This is a Regional franchise with a local owner. Happy to see this location now open to provide jobs and stimulate the local economy. I had the Beaut Combo for $15 bucks, comes with a choice of a side and a fountain beverage. I selected the Irdell slaw which was tasty. In addition, I added the Bossy Bites for later and just had to try one which was exceptionally good. The recipe comes from Grandmother Noble so it's tried and true. The chickenscape is loaded with competition in this part of the South so you better be good and be right or you won't last. Just a few nits which I hope they can work out. The napkins on the table or so small and flimsy. When you have handheld food you need something substantial. The receptacle for the drink lids is so small and they kept running out. It's necessary when you want your beverage 'to go'. No fans in the overhead cover, man it gets so hot in the summer and while it's nice to have some shade it would be nicer to have a fan to move that hot air around. The only 'hot chicken' option is the thighs. I've come to like the 'hot chicken' but I'm not a fan of the thighs so maybe they'll add the breast sandwich. Be careful tuning left out of the parking lot. It's very very busy and I just hope there are no accidents because the right hand turn is easy it's not convenient if your going back into the town of Fort Mill. I like the location right across from Walter Elisha park but I can see how this could also create safety issues and challenges for people at the park walking across the street where there are no pedestrian crossing lanes. They also offer a 10% veteran discount for dine in or take out. Like Beulah said "it's OK to be Bossy as long as you're right'. read more

Keep driving by and finally stopped in to see what is going on with this new chicken place. A lot and it is different that those many other fried chicken places. The menu is truly simple. One page. Chicken breast sandwich, wings, chicken thigh sandwich, chicken bites and chicken salad wrap. Fries, potato salad, quinoa salad (!), cookies and sauces for your chicken dishes. Beverages. Cookies and soft serve ice cream. I did not want to order a lot, just wanted to try their chicken and they accommodated me, weird as my sample request was. I got a wing and a bite, along with iced tea. Beulah's has a very nice, covered outside eating area with picnic benches. Some indoor seating, also. The chicken appears to have a little corn meal on it and it is so and sooo good! Crisp coating that does not shatter when you bite into it. Meat is fully cooked and moist. Very, very good. And the tea was fresh and flavorful. Very nice staff and cooking crew. Friendly. Worth a try, so stop by. read more

We came here for the Grand Opening in Fort Mill. We waited 3 hours in line to be one of the first 100. After a long and hot wait, we were greeted with warm welcomes from the owner and staff. We ordered The Beaut as a combo and a 1/2lb of chicken wings. We ordered a ranch and a bossy sauce as well. First impression of the food was a tad bit disappointing to be honest-the fries seemed a tiny bit soggy and our Beaut was not very beautiful as it was a mangled chicken breast that barely fit on the bun (but it delicious!) The chicken wings were incredible- even for the price of 4 for $10. One of the owners came by and gave our children a cup of their homemade ice cream which was delicious - the flavor was Carmel today. Overall - in the chaos of the opening day everything was great. Matthews residents that love Freedom Dr venue so traveled to Fort Mill to ck new venue out. Arrived Sat 9/16/23 @4pm. Not busy, approximately 10/workers, all standing around. Chicken for sandwiches taken from overhead holding tray, clearly not cooked recently, both sandwiches dry/cold, as well as fries. We were there about an hour, never saw any chicken cooked as customers came to order, all pre-cooked, taken from overhead storage trays. Customer service & beer good though, LOL. I've read the wonderful reviews and I know Beulah's is a regional favorite. However, I've now eaten here twice and my reaction is...meh. The building itself is a highlight. Great design, it has that "Diner / Southern ice house" vibe about it. But I found the Beaut Sandwich to be dry and not overly flavorful, and the Thigh Sandwich to be rather tough and overcooked (and not especially spicy). I can readily name three nearby fast-food chicken chains that I've enjoyed sandwiches at more than this one. Sorry, this reads to me as though I'm trolling the establishment. I really want to like this place and I wish for local regional chains such as this to be successful. Maybe I'll try eating here again....in a few more months. read more

Tried for first time today after hearing about the hype. They renovated Coleman's garage and turned into a cool hangout spot. Great atmosphere with tons of outdoor seating. The food was very good as well. Only problem is price points. Food was delicious but it's very expensive for how small the sandwich is.
