Steak & parpadelle - halved to split
Heather K.

Alright so second time is the charm. This time, we ordered an appetizer salad, two entrees and dessert. The takeaway to a better experience was getting a large plate instead of sampling small plates. They just had better execution. Our server Blake had the best personality, which also made the experience enjoyable. I never order dessert, but had to take a piece of the biscoff cheesecake home. It did not disappoint. Love the fact that getting reservations for a weekend for two is relatively easy a couple nights prior and that there is a new parking lot so you don't have to fight for a street spot. Well done, FM Eatery, I've been converted.

Blackened redfish, brussel sprouts.

I visited FM Eatery during lunch. It's a cute, little place in Main Street. I was able to secure a spot on the street but there is parking behind the various buildings as well. In my new role as a consultant, I cross-cross the country and one of my favorite things to do is let the locals direct me to their favorite spots. I have eaten excellent Mexican in El Paso, delighted in juicy Lucy's in Minneapolis, and been overwhelmed by history and delicious gumbo in New Orleans. Fort Mill was not a place I expected to have a similar experience. I ordered the Daily Hooker, a blackened redfish sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts. Seems simple enough, and it was, but there is something about food done right that puts it over the top. The seasoning on the redfish was perfect. Not so heavy you can't taste the fish, but enough that you could feel the bite of the blackening. And I have no idea what they did to the sprouts, but they were just perfect. The flavor is just "different." According to Andrew, my waiter, they do a dinner dish with shrimp and a sauce that is even better. I have no idea how, but I look forward to discovering this. This place is a winner. The service was exceptional, the restaurant is small but delightful, and the food is simply excellent.

Attaching pictures to the last review. For some reason it didn't come through. I can't wait to be back here.

loved the ambiance. The music seemed out of place but once the crowd started to arrive, you could not hear it. I liked the drink and the small bites. I thought the parpadelle pasta was a bit thick. The only thing I was not super keen on was the crème brûlée. I thought it was way too sweet.i think if you just went with the lemongrass, it might have been better. I enjoyed the food and the experience

Best breakfast in the area with outstanding coffee and warm, welcoming g service. Don't pass up on the amazing blueberry pancakes, the burger or either dishes with fried chicken, chicken and waffle or the chicken sandwich

"People who love to eat are always the best people." - Julia Child The FM Eatery is also Fortes Mill because the owner/chef is Fortes. So it's here in the downtown district of Fort Mill and so there's plenty of parking nearby unless there is soem sort of special event. We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon and the brunch menu was still going. Warmly welcomed and seated immediately, we looked over the menu. Mrs. K. ordered a mocktail "Berry Smash" with mint and berries that she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a "Dad Beer" from their menu. For mains, it was a tough call as there are quite a few fabulous options. In the end, it was the Blueberry Pancakes for Mrs. K. (with lemon zest!) and the Sweet Potato Tot Hash for me. Both were served quickly and still hot from the kitchen. We enjoyed it very much but big portions and so the remains ended up being reheated for breakfast the next day. A lovely location with delightful food and we enjoyed spending a good piece of our Saturday afternoon here. [Review 87 of 2025 - 1244 in South Carolina - 23655 overall]

It's been a little over a year since my last review so time for an update. Ben & I went for lunch on Tuesday. It was busy @ 1230p, 20 minute wait for a table so we sat @ the bar. It was fine, we got great service from Brittany who was my server last time. We each had the steak sandwich with grilled Brussels sprouts. I wanted the steak tacos but they only served with corn tortillas which we all know fall apart after the first bite. Ben also got the hot chicken Sando & the FM Burger 'to go'. We were both pleased with the steak sandwich though mine was just a little in the rare side. The fried egg, sunny side up was an interesting spin but liked the added protein option. Ben got a visit from Jason, now Manger after leaving the same post @ next door Hobo's. He said their lunch business had been steadily climbing for the last year. I really like their creative menu. They have a daily ' blue plate' lunch special.

Spicy crunchy fried chicken

Truly delicious! We had an amazing lunch and can't wait to return for dinner. (Worth the drive from Charlotte.) Brittany guided us through the menu and her enthusiasm and love of the restaurant came through! My fried chicken and waffle with hot honey was perfect. Very crisp chicken. Best I've ever had. And brussels sprouts. Will be hard not to order this again. The other meal was a spicy fried chicken sandwich- and it was also excellent.

Was driving back from Charleston and decided to stop in FM for dinner at FM Eatery which was along the way and had great ratings. Sat at the bar and Bridgette was the bar tender Started with an OMB Mecktoberfest. For an entree I ordered shrimp & scallops grits. Patiently waiting for my entree..... The entree arrived quickly and was consumed almost as quickly! Great meal. I enjoyed the seat on the scallops and the flavor of the sauce. The sausage and spinach and tomatoes added just the right texture and flavor. I highly recommend the shrimp & scallop grits and the FM Eatery in general. Great welcoming and relaxed place in small town Fort Mill.Cheers!

Bourbon Chicken with Mango Rice

Have been staying Rock Hill, SC for a couple days on business. Decided to venture out a bit and stumbled on this place. This restaurant had a great small town, upscale ambiance to it. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the Large plate Bourbon chicken, mango rice, and scallops plate, and Brussels small plate. They were both really good and made with lots of different flavors. If you are in the area I recommend this spot, especially for a family or husband and wife date night type of vibe.

I've been four times. The best burger I've tried yet is the Butcher's Burger. If you're looking for a burger with a smoky flavor, uplifted by the richness of the pork belly and seared onions... I haven't found better yet in the city. CB&BG is home to the best side dish in the city so far. Fried Okra. A dish I am beyond familiar, but rather familial with being from Oklahoma. I've had it countless times. I have not only never seen it prepared like this, but I have never had better. Forget the traditional fried okra chips or medallions you're used to. They tempura fry the whole dang thing. Get yourself some ranch and enjoy. The indoor atmospere is clean, sleek, and fun whenever they have live sports on TV or live bands in house. They also have the biergarten area outside in the back with a nice view.

They had a recent name change, it used lobe The Farm Haus, but the food is essentially the same…read more Our crew of six came here for lunch on Monday before Christmas. We sat outside. & enjoyed mid 50's temps with the gas heaters going. We had a brat, chicken nuggets, cheese burger, chili cheese fries & salad with chicken breast. The menu said it was as 'lettuce' and when I asked the order guy if it was 'Iceberg' he said 'yes' I asked he hold the onions. I got NO iceberg AND I got the onions. Kinda disappointed, I didn't think it was the happiest d of an order.

But it seems we had three large families walked in shortly before us. So the wait staff was stretched thin but the manager and our waitress both apologized for any delay. Once we got seated and our drink orders taken things moved more swiftly. The restaurant itself was nice. Lots of tables and booths also a big bar you can sit at including a large outdoor area. To start we got a sweet tea and I tried one of their spiked milkshakes! The sweet tea was just right and the milkshake was very good. A nice hit of alcohol in it with real chucks of ice cream! As usual for me, I had to try the Chicken and waffle sandwich! There were pieces of bacon in the batter that made the waffle and a large piece of deep fried chicken. The sandwich ate a bit dry so I asked for some syrup to pour over the waffle. It did come with a maple aioli but I just prefer regular syrup. The hand cut fries were thick but hot and fully cooked. Very good! My mom ordered the build your own burger instead of getting one of their many signature burgers. Her meal came thick and stacked and juicy! An amazing looking burger and she loved the onion strings. Next time I go back I think I wanna try The Wanderer burger because it looks very good! We also ordered a burger to go for my dad and our waitress was so good, she put the order in as our meals came out, so when we finished the togo burger came out and it was super hot! Amazing service! Fun place to eat with lots of options! Check it out!
