There's nothing appealing about a flat tire. Unfortunately, I had one today in route to a business meeting. I called my dealership roadside service and they sent Pop-A-Lock, who were on location inless than 15 minutes. My tired was replaced with the spare in a matter of minutes. The representative was super thorough and quick. This was pleasant end to an unwanted experience. Great news it cost me nothing because I still have free roadside service. All's well that ends well read more

Quote times are a joke. Told 50 minutes as an estimate, called back 1.5 hours late, told 15 minutes, got a call 20 minutes later that it was going to be 35 minutes. Find a local locksmith and don't call Pop-A-Lock. read more

Woke up to find my car had a flat (thanks Austin roadwork for the nail). I called for roadside through my insurance and they dispatched Pop-a-Lock. I had a jump start arrainged for my oversized vehicle through my warranty. 2 minutes after getting the order, they marked it completed. When I called them, the rather rude lady said that they sent it back to Allstate because it was out of their abilities being a truck with 2 batteries. They did not call or text me to tell me this. When I called my warranty, they thought all was good because it was marked completed. I do not recommend this company because of the lack of communication. I understand if they are not capable of servicing my truck, but they clearly dropped the ball when they marked it completed then never bothered to call me. read more

Jose was top notch! Estimated arrival time was 75 min and he was here in less than 10. Communicative and polite! Tire changed in no more than 15 min after he arrived! Can't beat it!! read more

My roadside assistance helper, Jose, was extremely kind and professional and completed the task quickly and efficiently while providing great communication. He's definitely a valuable asset to Pop-A-Lock. read more

Requested a roadside assistance service through Progressive. If you're management and you're reading this, my gosh is Jose a huge asset to your company. Not only was he extremely helpful, but he went out of his way to give me advice on how to go about a situation like this in the future. Every company needs someone like him. God bless that man! Phenomenal customer service. read more

Waiting 75 minutes is already pretty frustrating, but Pop a Lock added insult to injury when I called them three times only to have them put me on hold and then hang up on me each time. When I finally got through to someone, he was extremely short with me, told me the service provider was just now on the way and then hung up before I could get another word in. So why did I get an ETA of 75 mins if no one was on their way yet?! read more

I made the mistake of calling whoever came up first in my search and when ey came out it went from $85 to $185 , I said no thank you and called Pop-a-Lock. Allan was at my location wishing 20 minutes and had the vehicle open in 5 minutes. Allan was very professional and very courteous, He even jumped the vehicle (dead battery was why I couldn't get into my vehicle.) I will recommend Pop-aLock to anyone who needs a lockout, jumpstart, tire change or gas deliver service (Allan informed me of all the other things they do) . read more

I requested a jump start in SE Austin at my employers address. I had been working late. The car was parked out in front of the business's entrance. A DOD contractor. I was given no expectation of when to expect service to arrive. I got a text message that a person had been dispatched. I started heading to the car. I got a call but then phone did not ring, unrecognized numbers get forwarded to voice mail. I noticed the call as walking and called back. I literally was on the phone with the driver while inside this secure office space . I exited the. building and got the drivers attention. Pop a Lock while I was on the phone with the driver cancelled the service. THis was in a span of 2 minutes. I had been waiitng 45 minutes with no clue to even whether they were going to respond to the call. Then pop a lock dispatcher said that he tried called my number. I was on the phone with the driver. I may phones logs have no record a called from the dispatcher. I was in front of pop a locks driver, when he took a call from dispatch and was told to not provide service. This all happened within a span of 2-3 minutes. read more

Jose was really wonderful and speedy with jump starting my car!! Also gave me some great advice related to batteries!

Jose was awesome. He communicated before his arrival and was fast. He arrived and greeted us and got to work. So professional. He had his kit and got to work. 5mins later door open and we were done. Awesome would definitely recommend. Not my first time using them would definitely use them in future. read more

Don't waste your time. The lady I talked to on the phone was rude as hell!!! $70 for a jumpstart is crazy when they are a provider through my insurance and when I stated that, the lady said she couldn't help me with that & hung up in my face knowing I still needed the roadside assistance. If you don't know how to have a conversation simply don't be a customer service agent. So easy! I'm on the side of the road and I'm still having a better day than that poor lady. God bless her. read more

On October 24, 2019, my car battery failed to turn over while I was waiting in front of my sons school. I then used my Progressive (car insurance) app on my phone to get a jump for my car. Needed someone to come out and unlock my car for me. Called Pop A Lock because they are really well known. I am out in Lakeway. The woman on the phone basically told me we don't have anyone and pretty much did not seem to care or want my business instead of saying there is nobody around for a few hours but we'll get somebody out as soon as we can. She just said we don't have any technicians to go out to Lakeway. Don't run a business that way and you surely don't talk to customers that way like you don't care. If the need ever arises again they will be at the bottom of my list of people to try and call! read more

I needed a jump start and Jose was fast and efficient. Happy with my service and I would recommend it to anyone I know.

... on Thursday Night, I had to visit the ER and upon my departure, I notice that my from passenger tire was completely FLAT... far away from home.... Walked out this afternoon to run some errands and found I had a flat tire. Since I have Ford Roadside Assistance available with my Explorer, I hit the button on my app and received a message confirming an ETA for Pop-A-Lock of nearly 6 hours later. Needless to say, I called and they confirmed that someone would be at my house within 40 minutes. After over 50 minutes, I called and spoke with someone. They put me on hold and said that someone would be there within 10 minutes. So, after just about an hour, someone showed up. The first thing he asked me was if I really wanted my tire changed because that was his least favorite thing to do. He then changed the tire to the spare, using a handheld torque wrench instead of the power driver he had with him. As soon as he left, I left to go to the dealer to get a replacement tire (Yay for extended tire warranties). Once I started driving, the tire started making lots of noise and I had to "baby" the vehicle for the entire drive. I asked the dealer to check the installation and they confirmed that the tire had been barely put on and required significant tightening of all five lug nuts. Needless to say, the safety of this concerned me. I've called the local Pop-A-Lock office who's promised a return call. But pending the results of this call, I can't recommend these folks between slow service, rude roadside providers, and work performed dangerously. read more

Today I had a flat tire that we couldn't get the lug nuts off of. My insurance selected this business and had a tech come out. Ruben showed up promptly and was so polite. He told me some information about troubleshooting and safety with the spare tire. I recommend Pop-A-Lock services! I will give them a call in the future if I ever need assistance. read more

José is the man, Arrived fast and on said time, did the job fast no issues, easy 5 stars for him

Just absolutely disrespectful, arrogant, and horrifying service. At 11:11 a.m., I was assigned a Pop-a-Lock agent through Geico. A simple flat tire change. ETA 35 minutes. 11:59 a.m. comes and goes. Canceled. Then, I get reassigned to Pop-a-Lock again. I call the company and tell them how to get to my exact location. The rep says "I don't have a lot of space for notes." ETA 37 minutes. Driver named Matias calls me late, says he can't get to my location. Then, I tell him how to get here. He calls me 13 minutes later and says, "Yeah, I can't get to your location. Streets are closed." No, they're not. "You're going to have to get a tow truck." Then, he leaves the area. "I have other customers to get to." Wait, I'm not a client? I call Pop-a-Lock again. A rep tells me that the call has been cancelled. He doesn't even provide any help. Thank you Pop-a-Lock for keeping me waiting 2 hours and not coming to my rescue. Now I know which company not to do business with. read more

I was told it would about 60 respond time for a flat tire, and when I called to get a update at the 48th minute, the supervisor Jason couldn't tell me anything, he had no clue, he didn't say he would called his driver or couldn't see if he was on his way, now I just got updated and now it's another 30 minutes. I wish I could give a a negative review. so if GEICO insurance tells you pop a lock is coming, cancel it right way and request another company and save yourself some time read more

Pop a Lock was scheduled to provide me roadside assistance thru my insurance, waited 37 of 40 minutes on ETA when they cancelled. Now waiting an additional hour for another roadside assistance provider. Thank you Pop-a-Lock. I will NEVER recommend y'all, EVER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

These people are crooks! My insurance company dispatched them and they called asking where the car was and DENIED me service because he claimed he didn't have enough space "for safety reasons" - we changed it ourselves and survived. Then they LIED to my insurance company about what happened and requested payment!! Wtf! Scum of the earth trying to get money out of a situation where they provided NO service whatsoever. Allstate said they are removing them as a vendor. read more

I had a low tire pressure warning light on so I checked my tire pressure with my gauge. All 4 tires were a little low because of the cold weather, so I used my air compressor to fill them to the 42 psi reading that they should be at, based on the chart on the side of my car door frame. I somehow let air out of one tire instead of putting it in, and it was almost flat. I filed a roadside assistance claim with State Farm and they sent pop-a-lock out. The guy came in an unmarked car, he carelessly swung the metal piece of the air compressor around to bring it closer to his hand and it brushed up against my brand new car door. Luckily there was no paint damage. Then he hooked up his air compressor to my tire and filled it until his gauge said 36 psi. He unhooked it and started to walk away. I said I thought the doorway chart said 42 psi, and he said it should be 36. Ok. Then I asked him to check my other 3 tires to make sure they were ok and he said he didn't have a gauge. I had one in my hand and offered it to him, but he shook his head. He walked away. I got in my car and the low tire pressure warning light is still on and specifically the front passenger side tire he just filled said it's dangerously low on air and to drive immediately to a repair shop. I do not recommend this company. Or at least this technician they hired for this job. UPDATE: My car still had a low tire pressure warning light on, so I went straight to discount tire and they said the tire that the Pop-A-Lock guy just fixed was WAY under-inflated. As soon as they added air to that tire, the warning light went away. read more
