After a day at Deep Eddy pool, food was in order. Pool Burger is located near Deep Eddy Pool on Lake Austin Boulevard. It is reminiscent of the type of setup you might see in Hawaii...cool vibes only. The servers are dressed in Hawaiian shirts and surf boards can be seen throughout the venue. There is actually a bus onsite, which apparently where the food is prepared. I ordered a burger and fries (sold separately). The burger was flavorful, with mayo on one side of the bun and mustard on the other. The patty was good, though the bun felt a bit too large. The crinkle-cut fries were crisp on the outside and decently seasoned...not a fan of the fries. The menu also includes cheeseburgers and other options. Did Pool Burger satisfy by hunger? Yes. It was typical pool food.

a very cool, intimate spot with eclectic seating and casual walk up service. we went for happy hour. the half off frozen hurricanes were small but strong, and the pool chips were small but definitely worth the $4.50 price tag. the pimento is delicious and guacamole fresh. only frustrating thing is the limited parking nearby. definitely coming back!

Love the vibes at this place! Perfect stop after a Pool Day at Deep Eddy. Drinks and Burgers are yummy! Fries are also nice and crispy!

Pool Burger is a laid-back neighborhood spot. The name makes sense, it sits just north of the Deep Eddy parking lot, so you're just as likely to see folks fresh from a swim as you are people out for burgers and tiki drinks. From the signs it looks like you're not supposed to part AT Deep Eddy pool, but street parking is a little tight. You order at the counter, grab your drink there too, and they'll hand you a buzzer for when your food's ready, which you'll pick up behind a retro trailer that doubles as their kitchen. It's casual, it's a little chaotic on weekends, but it's part of the charm. The burgers are excellent and I love their topping selection. I'm a sucker for crinkle-cut fries, and theirs are some of the best around. I swap ketchup for thousand island, but that's just my personal quirk. Drink-wise, anything on the rocks is a solid bet. They are all served with that chewable nugget ice. The only miss for me was the frozen hurricane. Tasted a little too much like pineapple concentrate for my liking. They've got misters for those brutal Texas afternoons, a good playlist, and a no-frills, all-fun atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area.

Got recommend by a friend to try pool burger and they don't disappoint! the place had great burgers and the fries were crispy, the drinks were even better. the service was quick and the servers were very nice. does get busy over the weekend!

Really great vibes here! After a day of swimming, this was the perfect spot to grab a bite. We had swimsuits and coverups on, and many other people did as well so it was a very laidback/beachy environment. I love a good veggie burger, and the hippy burger was yummy. We didn't order any drinks, but those also looked good!

Delicious burgers and fries, at least if you eat them quickly. For the Deep Eddy burger, you need to ask for tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. Everything is cool and awesome here. And about twice as expensive as you would think. These are awesome, but BB's has similar burgers for about half the price. Their fries are better too?

Southern Cali surf bungalow meets tiki bar meets elevated concession stand. Located next to the Deep Eddy pool making it the ideal location for a pre or post swim meal. For us, it's all about the post swim. The Wagyu beef (all-natural, no additives) is sourced from a Texas farm. The buns are super-fresh and baked daily. The texture of the buns compliments the meat and toppings making for some pretty exquisite burgers. I love the Pool Cheeseburger. It comes with lettuce, tomato, cheese, mayo, mustard, and onion. I order without the mayo and mustard. My boyfriend loses his mind for the Blue Hawaiian burger the way Moondoggie would do a rodeo flip for Gidget. Blue Hawaiian comes with Wagyu beef, grilled pineapple, blue cheese, bacon and thousand island dressing. Crinkle cut fries are cooked to a perfect golden brown. Pool chips with guacamole and jalapeño pimento is a great snack or burger side. The tiki bar drinks menu has all the classics, some with a twist, and more. The frozen hurricanes go down smooth and easy with flavor lasting until the last gulp. The bungalow/patio setup is the epitome of 60s Cali beach life. Fun decor. It's not a large place and it's pretty much always packed but usually by the time you place your order, a table opens up. Vintage Airstream trailer on property for food pick-up and soft-serve ice cream. As busy as they are everyone working is happy and fun. Surfin' Good Fun, Food, & Bevies!

    The front.

I went out to my car and left my menu, my full drink and a water at the table and they bus it within the five minutes that I came back. Keep in mind that drink was $14 . Don't go here they think they're too cool not friendly at all and barely a vibe.

    Happy hour hurricanes!

This is a great happy hour spot. It only runs from 3-5, so plan accordingly! Half priced drinks and only $1 to add a floater to their hurricane...hence why there are four hurricanes in the picture.

**Food:** The burgers had a good flavor. The Hawaiian burger was particularly enjoyable, with the blue cheese and pineapple providing a well-balanced taste. The double cheeseburger featured crispy bacon and a juicy patty. Additionally, the bread was fresh. **Service:** The establishment follows a self-service model where you order and pick it up at the window. There is no table service. **Ambiance:** The ambiance is suitable for small groups but not recommended for dates due to the noise level. There is no dress code. If you bring children, be aware that you might see some patrons dressed in revealing swimwear, akin to beach attire. **Price:** The prices are average for the area. However, the drinks were expensive for what they offered. There is nothing particularly special about the place, except for its proximity to the Colorado River. I'm not sure if I will be back, but I won't mind if I'm in the area.

Come for good burgers, tasty drinks and the tiki friendly ambiance ! Pool Burger is one of my top favorite places to grab a burger in Austin that's not fast food. Meat patty are smash like burger thin with crunchy crisp iceberg lettuce, and always served on a nice soft seared bun. I would say Pool Burger is along the lines of In-n-Out but a step above especially with the option the add bacon! Service can get a bit slow when they get busy.

Super overpriced and the food was absolutely mediocre. The tiki bar and the seating area were cute though.

I thought their veggie burger would be vegan. Had it when I was vegetarian and it was delicious. Do you know if the patty is vegan? If so, then at least it could be made into a lettuce wrap if the bun is not vegan.

It would be helpful to know the ingredients in the buns. Are they vegan?

I seriously doubt it. They do bake their own buns, however they don't specify if they "make" their own buns. With no mention of any other offerings which are vegan,I seriously doubt their buns would be. They are delicious anyway for a non-vegan…

    Are they dog friendly?

Yes they are. Good outdoor seating area.

Is there a kids burger on the menu?

    No, not that I saw.

Once we walked through Manny's, we were greeted right away and since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly. Quick heads up: cell phones aren't allowed inside -- they take your phone and give you a key to a locker where it's stored for the night. The idea is to keep everyone present and engaged with each other instead of their screens (they do make exceptions for emergencies or on-call situations, at the business's discretion). I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. After saying that there was only standing room, I decided that I was not going to spend money in an establishment that speaks to people in such a disgusting way, so I proceeded to leave. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool.
