Love me some Ponte! There is really something for everyone to enjoy at this winery. They offer a wide selection of light, crisp whites & a of reds! Each time I have tasted here I have enjoyed it....so much so that I became I wine club member! Some favorites include their Moscato, which isnt overly sweet like your typical Moscato (it is definitely more like a champagne!), their delicious & refreshing rosé , and my favorite, the Super T red blend! Additionally, their tasting room is upscale, air conditioned, and a great environment to taste great wine, guided by attentive and knowledgable staff. read more

Really nice place, good food and wines. We stayed at the inn for New Years and very accommodating staff and loved the room. A jewel in Temecula read more

Fabulous but pricey wine! Awesome service is the tasting room. We enjoyed the wine club for a few months and the extra discount provided at the restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere and grounds! read more

We are very happy with the restaurant in this winery. We enjoyed the beautiful view at the restaurant and the food is very good as well. My husband had the tri pork sandwich that was very good. I had the muffuletta calzone it tasted ok but it was super messy to eat . I wouldn't order it again. read more

So at first, we were happy to join and become members of Ponte, however, until our past couple of visits there. Not quite sure what's going on with Ponte, however it's 2016 and "interracial" couples do exist. Our last visit to the reserve room was a total embarrassment, to not only us, but to the couple besides us. Who mentioned that they will never come there due to how we were treated, and we are members. We sat down at an empty table that needed to be cleaned. Another couple sat next to us at a clean table. Although we were sitting down first, we were not acknowledged, however the couple next to us was. Thus server, actually went around to almost every table, and assist other people, after 20 minutes, my wife had to motion to the server, to clean the table, she half ass cleaned it, and still did not offer to bring and wine or offer breadsticks or hummus. The couple next to us was so ashamed that "Ponte", would treat there members differently just by the color of their skin, I'm cancelling our membership, and will never be back again! read more

I love this place. I just tried my first bottle of Angry wife wine that a friend gave me... FANTASTIC!!!! TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

We went to Ponte for lunch the other day and we weren't at all impressed. It wasn't busy and it took forever to be greeted by our server. We asked for more bread as it took forever for our food to come and we never received anymore bread. My husband ordered a Kobe burger and it was cold and his milk was sour. I guess they don't sell enough milk to pay attention to the expiration date. He doesn't drink wine. I had a pizza and my food was good. I also don't like that they serve their wine in the small Ponte wine glasses in the restaurant. Too me, that is tacky. The wine was so, so, nothing to write home about. The gift shop is very cluttered and not inviting. I couldn't wait to get out of there! If i owned the winery, I fire everyone, hire new people and put them through a people pleasing skill class and possibly have a Feng Shui expert come in and help with the gift shop layout. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Perfect place for lunch and a glass of wine or two.The scenery is picture perfect. Will definitely be coming back. Had family in town and they loved it. read more

Great winery and great employees. I highly recommended going to Fred he made my day brighten and he is honestly just the best.

hands down my favorite winery in temecula. it's gorgeous, the wine is amazing, they pour you a great sample and did I mention it's absolutely gorgeous?? read more

Best winery experience, hands down. We took a very fun horse drawn carriage tour through several wineries (shout out to www.temeculacarriageco.com -- review to soon follow!), and Ponte was first on our stop. Hands down, Ponte now replaces our former "favorite" winery...the vast collection of wine truly speaks for itself (Beverino, Port 2010, Dopietta 2011, Vermentino 2014 are at the top of my list). BUT, TY TYLER, our sommelier for the day, was/is AMAZING. He is sooooooo knowledgeable, taught us a lot about everything under the sun that is wine related. Ty was not pushy, but gave us great insight into the product we were considering. He was hands down THE foremost best sommelier I have ever met. Ty is super resourceful, and his customer service manner gets an A+++! Never before have I seen someone juggle so many customers while making each one feel as if he/she is the only one in the room. Ty, you are amazing, and I hope Ponte realizes the phenomenal gift they have in you. GREAT experience...you have customers for life here! We'll be back soon. read more

Went to PONTE this after noon for our 12 year anniversary ( March 12 2017)celebration with my wife and my self, our experience with absolutely out standing and nothing less. From the get go it was total professionalism and class, the staff was outstanding and on par with what I'd expect at one of Temecula's top winery's. Needless to say the food was great and so was our waitress who's name I can't remember but hopefully she some how finds out through this review. The icing on the cake for our outstanding dining experience was when I ran in to an old high school acquaintance who was one of the staff there and she was genuinely sweet to the both of us, my wife and I, and in short conversation I had told here we were there celebrating our 12 year anniversary and were having a fantastic time (by the way she was not even our waitress but rather the one who delivered our appetizers) she then took it upon her self to pass it on to our waitress who was previously unaware that it was our anniversary so as you can imagine we were shocked at first when she (our waitress) brought out this beautifully arranged and very tasty personalized desert. Thank you Ponte staff you were excellent and a special thanks to Mrs. Heidi (the sweet redhead) you were a great part of our truly memorable celebration read more

If you are coming in with a large group of friends to have a good time - look elsewhere as you're not really welcomed

We stayed at the South Coast Resort and walked over to the Ponte to hang out at their lounge. Ambience was great: good live music, fun mixed crowd, good Madrid Sangria and the best Short Rib tacos! Definitely coming back! read more

I went here for a wedding and it was gorgeous! I was amazed how helpful everyone was to myself and my friend (the bride.) This venue was amazing and I really am at a loss of words to describe this winery. Go check this place out and drink some really good sparkling wine. read more

This review is for dinner only. Came here for dinner to celebrate a bachelorette party after a hot day touring temecula wineries last weekend. We did book the private room. We got there early and the staff was nice enough to seat us early. It was a bit annoying that there were flies all around the room. It seemed like flies kept flying in and out of the room so we closed the door and then it was worse because the flies remained in the room .. after our food came this was kind of unappetizing. We started off with the calamari and crab cakes to share. They were OK. The calamari was kind of hard and crunchy.. not much freshness to it at all. The crab cake had shells in it. On to the entrees. I opted for a caesar salad. The salad came with very very little dressing.. in fact I could barely taste it. There was hardly any cheese on it either! I also got the ravioli. There was TOO much sauce on this one.. drenched in marinara kinda took away the taste from the ravioli itself. The chard cooked with pancetta was good though a bit salty. Overall, a tad expensive for the quality of the food that is served here. read more

We always have a great time at Ponte. We visited a couple of times before becoming members last year. We come every couple of months and enjoy the shipments we get from them each month. My personal favorite? The Beverino (sp?). It tastes like fruit juice. We like to come for an afternoon and have an early evening meal outside in their restaurant. The menu is amazing. This weekend we tried the rock shrimp and pesto pizza. Unbelievable. The meal and service were excellent. Our server's name was Katie and she was great. I was bummed however, that the manager of the restaurant would not honor the $10 off for their check in offer as it was for tasting room purchases only. It was easier for us to order three bottles through our server (in addition to the two wine club bottles we were picking up) because we have a baby and the tasting room was PACKED. No big deal though, saving the ten bucks would have been nice for checking in through Yelp, but waiting in line in the tasting room with a stroller etc, to buy three bottles and save $10 wasn't worth it to us after a wonderful tasting and meal. All in all, Ponte is an awsesome place to relax and talk any day. read more

love love love. Abby in the tasting room is wonderful. The wines are tasty. The restaurant is delish and beauitful - but dont underestimate (as I did) how filling the wine tasting can be before eating lunch! The grounds are remarkably beautiful. I can't wait to visit again and stay in the new Inn. read more

Excellent service and wine choices. Beautiful place. Rooms are awesome and winery is super fun. Would definitely return.

They shipped the wrong product and then refuse to exchange it. The assistant manager was not helpful and the manager never bothered to even return our phone call. Now we have a whole case of wine and no one to drink it. More importantly, the customer service was horrible. read more

Helpful staff and great wine. We live in FL and have visited the winery twice bought cases of wine. Restaurant offers fresh dishes and plenty of great wine read more

I'm reviewing the restaurant in this post. The wine tasting area is delightful, but not much different than most tasting areas in Temecula. You drink wine, you feel great, etc. The restaurant, though, is something else. I love it, with all my heart. I even had my wedding dinner there. (The marriage didn't end up working out, but my boyfriend and I are now wine club members there. All's well that ends well, right?) First of all, you get to sit in a beautiful covered patio with a serene garden view while you munch on the most wonderful foods. It's an outdoor restaurant, but in the summer (when it's hotter than hell), there are delicate misters overhead that somehow manage to keep you cool without frizzing your hair. I would really like to recommend certain dishes, but their menu tends to change with the seasons. However, what I can tell you is that everything you order will be made with fresh, quality ingredients and a gourmet touch. It will melt in your mouth and make you want to come back for more. In a nutshell, Ponte rules. read more

Amazing experience!! Wine is awesome. Food was yummy! No complaints.

Great smoke house restaurant. Very romantic. Affordable prices. Great food menu too.

Personally my favorite winery. Very new, big and i love the wine. Super friendly staff.

Meh...I love a good customer service experience. Cassie at the indoor tasting bar was amazing; we bought a bottle and retreated to the outdoor restaurant. We were then told that seating was "reserved for people ordering food", the garden area was "closed for a special event" and then relegated to a hot corner of the hostess station to drink the bottle that we bought here. Not impressed... read more

I stayed a couple of nights here with my wife in January and we just loved it. The rooms are fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. I can't say enough about how friendly and professional the staff was. We had dinner and drinks in the tavern both nights and it was fantastic. This was our first visit to Temecula since we moved to San Diego and Ponte will be our regular haunt for future wine trips. Bravo! read more

We went here to have a couple beers just a few days ago . Went down to the cellar bar , as it is usually a quieter experience. Not the case this time . There were a few older , like grandparents age , couples in there and then a group of I believe 4 middle aged adults , if that's what you call people like them. This group was so rude . Very loud and inconsiderate of others in there . I'm younger so foul language and people like that don't bother me but when I saw the elderly couples continue to look in this groups direction as they hollered and dropped the word "Fuck" " fucking " about every three words out of their mouth , I started to get irritated as this is a nicer bar , NOT a dive bar . The bartender Dene , noticed everyone looking at this group and asked them to please keep the F bombs to a minimum or just lower their voice . The group was so offended they ended up telling their waitress they wanted to cancel their food order and get the check because " this is a bar and they should be able to talk however they want " . Thankfully the group left without much else incident but left the poor waitress a tip of $0 even though she had sever them drinks for the time they were there and took their food order . The poor waitress felt so bad about the incident she apologized personally to all the other guests in there and even brought us a free desert , totally not necessary but was so sweet. Then the bartender Dene apologized probably 10 times , which I don't think anyone was upset with him about it at all. The older couple in the corner even told the waitress to " give him kuddos for saying anything " . I felt bad cuz I could tell the bartender was worried he was going to get a bad review from this group or a complaint to management and I just wanted to do my part and say thank you to him and the sweet waitress from that day. You guys rock and Dene made the whole experience worth it :) read more

Good restaurant, beautiful grounds, drinkable wines.

my friend had a wedding at this winery this past July 4th weekend and it was beautiful. the view of the vineyard was priceless and the servers were all friendly, informative, and very accomodating. the food at the wedding was just ok though. however, the drinks served at the wedding, lemonade included, was excellent. we did the wine tasting before the wedding for about $12 which was not that bad. my ultimate favorite was the Juliet. up second was the Beverino. you have to try them! a little out of the way from everything, but what winery isn't. they need a little more shade if they are going to have more outdoor weddings.i would definitly go back to this place in the future if i'm ever in the san diego area. cheers! read more

Place is a nice place but as others say they turn away private vehicles including sedans limos and buses and make you get out on the street. Why encourage people to wine taste and drive themselves or even turn aeay large vehicles full of customers. Pure foolishness. We were dissapointed that we literally had to literally get dropped off at the curb and walk. Good to know all the other wineries were more than Happy to accomodate us and let us park anytime. read more

what a beautiful winery! my friends and i had such a lovely time here. the wine tasting cost $20 for 6 tastings (you get to keep the cup). it's more than a lot of other wineries but i get why...everything was AMAZING! i especially loved the whites and roses! the staff were quite friendly and helpful. and those pita chips were perfect for my empty stomach! there's so much to look at inside the tasting room. they sell a lot of gourmet foods, specialty gifts and housewares. there was also a wedding taking place outdoors. the grounds are so beautiful, it was quite picturesque! and the beautiful wine bottles! they have really pretty labels. i seriously loved everything about this place! this is by far my favorite winery in temecula. i can't wait to come back!! read more

We had a rehearsal dinner in the Vintner's Room in April and I could not have been more impressed. The patio was beautiful and the view of the vineyards and grounds was breath taking. My husband and I went to Temecula in mid August for a birthday weekend retreat. Having never been to the Ponte Winery, we decided to stop in for wine tasting. Knowing that the hotel had just opened earlier in May, we decided to check it out before our tasting. We were greeted in the lobby with a glass of Moscato (my favorite!!!) and we were offered a tour of the facilities. We were so impressed with the rooms and decided to stay the night. The view of the grapevines, the soft bed and plush towels made for one relaxing getaway! The Cellar Lounge built in the basement area of the hotel was fantastic! We loved the classy decor, tasty food, and the live music. Oh, and the bar offers one wickedly yummy selection of drinks! Perfect place for a quick getaway in Temecula! read more

Went with a dear friend for lunch-who just joined as a member. The food was wonderful! Very fresh and were nice sized portions. We did a tasting and I also really liked all the wines we tried. I will say however, we sat outside and through no fault of Ponte, it was a bit chilly still as it was March! It was so beautiful though, sunny and just incredibly relaxing....we will be back! read more

been a wine club member for a few years, enjoy eating brunch in their fabulous restaurant on Sunday and tasting wine. they have one of the nicest tasting rooms in the valley. friendly and knowledgeable people. a beautiful display of fun and nice things to buy and its not all about wine. they have been growing (a new hotel this year) which means they are doing something right!) and their wines are great, no they are better than that! We frequently go wine tasting and of course have our favorite wineries. For my birthday we rented a limo and picked Ponte for our first stop to have lunch and do a tasting. When we pull up we see a man run out of the winery to our limo. I assume hes opening the door for me and am initially impressed. And then he asks me if we have a reservation. I tell him no. He then said we cant come in without a reservation for the limo? I thought he was joking! How would we know we have to make a reservation for a limo! We then said we would just have the limo drop us off and he can park elsewhere. He then told us he knew what we looked like and would not serve us because the owner would have him fired??? They had A LOT of open parking spaces that could have accomodated our limo! And why would he care if our limo parked elsewhere? Its crazy that a business would run customers away! We then went to another winery which had the same limo policy that had 4 times as many customers but figured out how to fit us in! I will NEVER go back to Ponte! There are a lot of great wineries in Temecula go to one that cares about their good customers! My Mom has a few friends that belong to their wine club and they are cancelling tomorrow! read more

We live in Temecula just on the skirts of Wine Country and we have a lot of out of town visitors. We like to take them to lunch or dinner and very often take them to Wilson Creek, South Coast or Thornton. We have eaten at Ponte for Dinner but never for lunch. Yesterday was a horrible experience when it came to the service. We were a party of 6 and Mario was our server and he lacked a lot when it came to his skills and tact. If you didn't know exactly what you wanted off the menu he rushed to the next person and then if you were still undecided he left and would come back. He never took the time to offer suggestions or ask if we had questions. You could just feel his impatience. One of the guests was my 90 year old MIL who requires a little more patience when it comes to making decisions. Especially when it comes to wine (she doesn't drink much and thinks everything is strong. Mario could have been a lot more helpful and made the experience a lot more enjoyable. I do have to say if I was rating based solely on the quality of the food and environment I would have given this rating 5 stars. Mario does not represent Ponte and The Wine Country experience very well at all. I doubt we will be returning any time soon. read more

Came here with my girlfriend for lunch and some wine tasting. Food was good, fair price, had a couple of glasses with the meal and then headed to the tasting room. Everyone was very nice without trying too hard, and the pours were generous which was nice. Only complaint I have is that they have a lot of merchandise in the tasting room and with it being pretty busy on weekends, it was hard to maneuver around. Also the outside area is limited to just sit and enjoy the wine. I ended up with couple bottles of their rosé. You just don't get the relaxing, expansive landscape atmosphere. Prob better on weekdays. read more

The restaurant at Ponte Winery is great. Took a friend to lunch today and the food was amazing. I had the Calzone with Italian Sausage and yummy cheese and my friend had a Vegetarian Wrap Sandwich. The luncheon menu has a great variety of menu items, something for everyone. Prices are reasonable and wine is wonderful. Had a great time. read more
