Came here as a last stop before heading back home. The brie sourdough bread bowl was highly recommended so it was a must try! The pictures online make this place look a lot nicer. In person it wasn't as beautiful. Too many tables left dirty for too long. Apparently 7 bread bowls were ordered before us, so it took a very long time (over 30 mins) to get ours. However, it was definitely worth the wait. It was a guilty pleasure for sure, gooey deliciousness, the kind you can only take a few bites of or else you'd pass out if you continue indulging. Haha. Once I got back from the trip, I told a coworker about it and she said you can actually order it nonbaked and they'll pack it for you to enjoy at home. If that's true, I'll probably order an extra one to take home next time I'm there. I would recommend trying it if youre out in Temecula! read more

I visited Maurice Car'rie Vineyard and Winery on 5/14/26 around 3pm with a friend, unfortunately the experience was disappointing enough that we decided to leave without ever being helped. When we walked in, there were fewer than 10 guests outside and roughly 6 people inside, with two employees behind the counter. We initially weren't greeted when entering, which was not a big issue. We walked to the counter and waited while an older female employee was speaking with another guest. What became frustrating was that despite us standing directly at the counter for several minutes-and even another customer walking up beside us-there was still no acknowledgement whatsoever. A simple "Welcome in, I'll be right with you" would have completely changed the experience. Instead, the conversation continued uninterrupted while multiple potential customers stood waiting. As someone who values customer service, this was surprising. A quick acknowledgement takes only a second and makes guests feel welcomed and valued. That kind of interaction is also what encourages people to stay, try the wines, join memberships, and return in the future. After waiting several more minutes without being acknowledged, we decided to leave. It was especially disappointing because I had heard great things about the winery-particularly the sourdough baked Brie-and was genuinely excited to try the place. I would STRONGLY encourage management to emphasize basic guest acknowledgement and hospitality training with staff. In a region with so many incredible winery options, customer experience matters. We recently visited Maurice Car'rie (now transitioning to Ultimate Vineyards) with a Groupon a month of so back. The property itself is nice and as one of the oldest vineyards in Temecula Valley it still holds up. The tour we received was fun and educational (albeit a bit shorter outside due to the mud from the storm a couple days prior) and our guide was friendly throughout. The wine here however was the weakest part unfortunately. I am no wine afficionado but I only cared for one of the wines given as part of our tasting besides the sparkling Mango that was thrown in at the end (which I would definitely have again along with the Pomegranate as well). We did not get to experience the world famous baked brie during this visit as we had just eaten lunch in Old Town prior to coming here but I will definitely stop in to get one of these on a return trek to the area. The visit was good but the wine itself was not great and that left me with a lower expectation for this winery as opposed to others we have visited in the area. I would come back again if in the area for the baked brie but would more than likely only come back for a bottle of sparkling wine to go unless we had friends or others in a group dying to try them out. My takeaways from our visit. Friendly service, great views, so so wine. The location is beautiful, with a lot of grass to roam around. Their sourdough bread was great. We enjoyed the clam chowder, but the brie with apples honey and walnuts were fabulous on their bread. The service was fine -- they don't come out and check on you. You order at the counter and that's it. This winery is changing its name (previously Maurice Car'rie). This was our favorite vineyard during this trip! We came on Sunday and had to be back on Monday. The are a smaller more family owned feel type of place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. He did some great suggestions on wines to try and food items. The baked brie was amazing! It was fresh and gooey and great flavor! The pizza was a thin crust and very tasty. Maurice Car'rie was our first stop on a wine tour on a Thursday morning. It's a nice winery with plenty of seating. Based on the reviews and our tour guide's recommendation, we ordered the baked brie. I'm so glad we did as it tasted soooooo good! We snacked on it throughout the tour, and honestly, it's the reason I didn't get sick from all the wine tasting. The wine itself was really good. I'm more of a red girl, while my boyfriend usually prefers sweet sparkling wines. However, but he enjoyed one of the reds here. We ended up buying a sweet red called Sweet Dreemz, which was a great find. Service was good. Overall, we definitely will be back. read more

Had my first ever wine tasting at this beautiful, lovely serviced and wide variety of wine location! Came here with friends didn't really know what to expect or how to go about tasting, I am lucky most of my friends are wine experts though. We got a great deal for being able to taste 5 different wines for the price of two people. They also have other great deals throughout the week! The lady that helped us out was kind and patient with a big group like ours. I stopped into Maurice Car'rie recently with a group of girlfriends for lunch after wine tasting at nearby Halter Ranch (where they don't have food). They're best known (for good reason) for their famous garlic sourdough bread baked with Brie cheese...and of course, someone in our group ordered this to share with all! I had the pesto chicken pizza which was also amazing. The casual menu has something for everyone and the food is all great. Our group shared several bottles - Syrah, Rosé Grenache and one of the sparklings. It was a beautiful afternoon and we took over a big table on the covered outdoor side porch. The staff are all so friendly and helpful; service is excellent! We were fortunate enough to meet winemaker James through his adorable dog Milo who was running around in the grassy area. While talking to James, he graciously offered our group a very special port education and tasting from the barrel! We are members of this winery and have visited several times. Overall, our experiences have been somewhat inconsistent. The customer service is excellent, and the food is outstanding--especially the famous Brie bread, which is always a highlight. That said, the wine selection has been average in our experience. Additionally, while the Brie bread is delicious, the portion size is quite large and seems better suited for a group of four or more. It would be wonderful if smaller portions were available for couples or smaller parties. We also visited on Valentine's Day and were surprised by the choice of entertainment, Daniel Alan a country rock band did not seem to match the ambiance one might expect for the occasion singing save a horse ride a cowboy . We hope the entertainment selections in the future will better align with the atmosphere and special events being celebrated. This is a very simple vineyard with a lot of delicious wine options. We got to sample many different options and enjoyed them all. There was live salsa music so it had a fun vibe that day. The grounds are picturesque as well. Service was on point and we decided to order an appetizer to soak up the alcohol. Wow! The tomato and Garlic Confit is top 10 best things I've eaten in my life. Cute vinyard with small outdoor seating with barn like ambiance. We came here around 1 PM, decent amount of people already! We each got the flight (5 glasses $25), they pour you one glass and then when you finish you get the next one. Parking is easy since there is a relatively large one. For food, we shared the famous brie bread ($24). The brie bread was amazing, the brie wasn't too stinky and the warm garlic sourdough complemented it so well, my fiance and i almost finished the entire thing! The wines are also tasty! This winery is truly magical. We had a spectacular time for my mom's birthday. The weather was glorious and we had a nice table in the shade. The Full Effect band kept us dancing all day long. Very nice winery! I was doing a job in Temecula and checking wineries. Need to go back to try the cheese garlicky sourdough bread! I loved the rustic atmosphere, picnic tables, olive trees... Very quiet when I went, like the time stopped in another era. The only confusing part was the name as was not sure if Ultimate was the name of a restaurant of the whole winery. Came here for the Sourdough Baked Brie and it did not disappoint! This was a to-go order that we weren't ready to take until 45 min after ordering, but they were kind enough to hold it for us in their warmer until we needed it. The bread bowl was securely wrapped in foil and given to us in a plastic bag for easy carrying. The bowl and baked brie were delicious. It took over 40 minutes to get our bread order and over 20 minutes to get another wine refill on my tasting card. The place was dirty and we had to clean our own table. LOL we went to this winery for their Sour Dough Bowls; not their wine! GO FIGURE! Here is my story. While visiting another winery, Maurice Car'rie Winery was recommended to us for their sour dough bowls. That said, I can't speak for their wines or other products they sell. I can only speak to the sour dough bowls. We wanted to order the Chowder bowls to go, but I guess they were getting ready to close and our counter person was not that friendly. We ended up with the Brie Sour Dough Bowl (I think $16) and it is 1 pound sour dough round; cut off top and hollowed out center to house a wheel of brie. The sour dough wheel whas buttered and seasoned on the insides. You need to bake it for about 20 minutes then dig in and eat. It makes for a great appetizer but make sure you have a large enough group to enjoy this appetizer dish. It was a lot and 6 of us could not finish it. We ordered the chowder with out the bowl.... It was okay; nothing really to write home about. It seems most of their wines are fruity like pineapple, pears etc. Not my cup of wine thank you. This is the former Maurice Carrie Winery. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and is dog friendly. The wines are wonderful and they have a good selection of food. They are most known for their " brie bread" which is a round Loft of bread with a round of brie baked into it. The staff are very knowledgeable on the food and wines. The atmosphere here is just lovely. Such a great spot to go hang out to enjoy a nice afternoon. On Saturday, they have live music by the grassy area. It's a great hangout spot for friends or a nice, casual date night. I went as part of a tour group, so I got to do a sampling of 5 wines. I didn't love them all, but it was nice to try a different varietal. Depending on who was serving, the amount of wine you got differed. There was a discrepancy between pours. Also, you could tell a few of the bartenders were not happy that there were tour groups and were not as friendly towards the tour group as they were to groups that were not on the tour. I can't speak about all of the staff because there were a bunch who went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying the wine. The baked brie sourdough was absolutely phenomenal. First time coming here, very cute vineyard. Gives off homey vibes. Once we got inside we got helped , sadly didn't catch his name. He gave us the menu, told us about the most popular options & asked our preferences. We ended up with a glass of peach mango and a red wine that my husband unfortunately forgot the name of.
