Quick response and follow up. Materials were available. Referred an installer. Fair value. Would use them again.

Lowe's associates said that wasn't necessary and to just buy a unit and schedule installation. That will come back to bite me later. After ordering, for almost two weeks there was little communication on the orders status or any progress. I had to call multiple times to confirm appointment date, and the technicians then missed twice (without any notice) before finally coming out. On the day of the install, the technician did not do any assessment and installed the opener. He even said there was an additional part needed, costing an extra $70. When all was said and done, the technician showed me that the opener would not work on my particular door and that I either needed a different unit or a different door. This could have been avoided if we had a proper assessment in the beginning. Furthermore, the technician said it was not his responsibility to uninstall the unit. So now I have to schedule a follow up appointment just to uninstall the unit, likely costing me more money. Do yourself a favor and go through a different company. This has been too much of a headache, cost me money that I likely won't get back, and I don't even have a working garage door.

And we were happy to see that it returned and reopened in the neighborhood. Because it's usually more convenient than going to Home Depot or Lowe's. We prefer to support our smaller local businesses as opposed to the big warehouse stores. Do keep in mind that a lot of things are going to be priced a little bit more expensive. Kind of like when you go to farmers market or buy organic food at the grocery store. Smaller and local equals paying a little bit more. We frequent this location almost every weekend. It's clean and well organized. And definitely doesn't get a lot of traffic, which we actually prefer. No long lines to worry about.

Our 'antique' wheelbarrow desperately needed to be replaced; the smaller ones displayed on the storefront looked like a good fit for our need but were kind of scratched up. When we mentioned to the young cashier (I think his name is Tyler) about the scratches he was very pleasant and immediate offered to look for a cleaner one in the back. in a few minutes we received the one without scratches and were very happy again with the product and excellent service. We'll be back again soon.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to formally request an immediate escalation and a call from the district manager responsible for the Lowe's Brokaw store regarding an ongoing, unresolved kitchen project and three mis‑scoped appliances. After a flood in our home, we began a kitchen project with the Brokaw store. From the start, the experience has been extremely frustrating. There were incorrect measurements, incorrect scoping, delayed installation, and months later our kitchen is still not completed. Despite our repeated attempts to move the project forward, we have not received timely, coordinated support. In addition, three appliances were incorrectly scoped and sold to us as part of this project. We have tried several times to return these appliances through the store, but we have been repeatedly given conflicting information and "the runaround." No one at the store is willing to take ownership of resolving the situation or clearly explain the path forward.

Whenever we've come in to look for something, I have had no problem finding an employee to help me. Shout out to Oscar for going above and beyond today! I came in for something that was supposed to not be available, but he went out his way to procure one for me! Thank you so much!!!!! Love how much stuff they have at this store as well. Besides the usual that you expect at a hardware store, they literally have everything else! Flowers, decor, dog beds, puzzles! Pro-tip: you can use the app to look up what you need and see which aisle it's in!

I did going expecting it would have a better selection of lumber at better prices than Home Depot. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They had a lot of wood suitable for construction but not for woodworking. They really had only one type of plywood with any kind of nice surface. Mostly have OSB, CDX, and only one type with a sanded finish. And that was almost $10 more per sheet than what I could get at Home Depot. No Birch or other quality plywood ether. I did purchase about 4 sheets just to check them and then went to Home Depot and got the remaining 11 sheets I needed. It was less expensive and there was significantly more choice for plywood other than OSB, CDS, etc.

If you need…read moreit, they have it; In the rare event they don't (which has been very uncommon in my experience), they can get it quickly. All the products are of the highest quality: no tool on the wall or fastener on the shelf is anything short of top notch and they have been my exclusive fastener provider for over 20 years. No matter the demand, they meet and exceed quality control standards across the board: a true testament, especially in the semiconductor field. The staff is very knowledgeable and actively works to find the most effective solutions to whatever hardware challenges you present. Karl, Barbara, Dat, and Paul have all been extremely helpful and personable over the years and make every visit a treat. With Olander, you get the mom and pop shop treatment and attention while maintaining the big store selection; That is hard to come by these days. Aside from great staff and quality products, pricing is always competitive (especially compared to those McDonald's guys...sheesh...). On more than one occasion, upon explaining my project demands, they have offered a more cost effective alternative that not only facilitated fabrication, but brought the bottom line down. They very well could have kept spitting out the invoices for things I didn't really need, but they took the time and effort to ensure that what I was getting was what I ACTUALLY needed. That commitment to a customer's success is just one more thing that makes Olander one of the premier distributors in the Bay Area, and I look forward to many more years of working with these fine folks.
