Just go to Home Depot! The slowest, strangest people work here, it will take a whole day for you to buy or rent something. Only their manager knows something, others workers are just zombi that can't help you, assist you or check out!!!!!

Placed order over 2 weeks ago. Was told ETA available in 4 days. Spent over 1 hour on hold and bouncing around from employee to employee to be told they don't have ETA. Sh*t show.

Was impressed by the quality selection at contractors' wear-house. Lots of options for much of you home project needs, DIY, interior design and exterior design. Prices are reasonable and at least 1/3 cheaper than Home Depot. Staff help with loading heavy items and which is helpful. Custom orders are also available for doors, windows, sliders, and counters

Great selection of doors and windows. But the best part was Serena. She was so patient, so sweet and handled all the multiple requests of her so gracefully. I don't know how she did it all while keeping her cool.

Needed some 3/4" course gravel buying at local hardware store too expensive when you need over a…read more1/2 cubic yard. I bought some material from here before and it was delivered. This time i had to use my truck and was only able to get 1/2 cubic yard. It was less than buying a bunch of 50lb bags, i still need more to finish a project and start my own at my place. It must of been an off day or these guys are good at what they do. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes could of been 10 minutes. One guy at the counter and he was fast, told him I needed 3/4" gravel for drainage he gave me the price, i paid he told me where to go, drove my truck almost to the right spot, the loader told me to move over he scooped up a shovel load and dumped it in the bed. I was going to ask if that was the amount but decided not to because they do this all day and they got better things to do than to short people and it felt like a 1/2 cubic yard as long as I could hit the brakes and stop i had no issues. I will go back for whatever bulk materials I need. Just wish I would of looked around sooner on other simular jobs, this was my 2nd visit so they must be doing things right to get me to return. And when I was leaving I saw a Bosch Repair shop very close not many places to have Bosch Tools approved shops it the Bay Area, plenty of Bosch appliance shops but not many Bosch Tools, kinda weird if you ask me.

Horrible customer service…read more I came into this showroom on a Saturday after a window latch broke. I brought the window and the broken latch with me, expecting some basic assistance finding a replacement part. Instead, because I didn't have an original order number and hadn't purchased the window directly through them, they refused to help. Maybe the weekday staff is more knowledgeable, but the employees working that Saturday either didn't know the Milgard products or simply couldn't be bothered to help someone who wasn't making a large purchase. It felt like the moment they realized I was only looking for a replacement part, they lost all interest in assisting me. If you're expecting customer service, product knowledge, or any willingness to help solve a simple problem, look elsewhere. There are better options out there. Update: Reached out to Roadrunner Glass in Fremont and they were able to identify my window from pictures as the Tuscany model and the Smart Touch Latch I needed. They did not even me to come in with the window and only needed a picture. So if you want good customer service its better to just wait till during the week when staff with experience and know-how can help.

First there was no one in the shop, and I wasn't greeted till approx. 5 mins. later. I asked the salesman about the part, and he notified me about their $25 min. purchase, and also asked if I needed anything else, which I didn't, then said well, I could sell you the part for $25, which I didn't think was very funny. Needless to say, I left empty handed, and found the part for $1.39 at one of their competitor's company. It was not a pleasant experience, and makes me wonder, how a company like this can still be in business, with customer service like that. If it was my company, I would have given that customer the part, and hoped it was enough to possibly make him a lifetime customer. As a business owner, I would think, that a lifetime customer is well worth a $1.39 PVC part, or a $25 min. purchase. Needless to say, you can bet that I will tell everyone who'll listen this unpleasant tale, and all I have to say to the owner of this company is, you may want to re-evaluate your sales policy, for the smaller customers, who may possibly a future big customer for you. In my case, this will never happen, but for me, I'm just glad that there's Yelp reviews, for unhappy consumers like myself. I truly wish it would've turned out a lot better for both of us, but it didn't.

They still managed to mess this up. While I understand mistakes happen, I expect people to at least take ownership of their mistakes. When I asked for them to either replace the glass at no cost (since it was their mistake) or at the very least meet me half way and charge me only for costs, he declined. I was shocked to say the least. I have known other people who had been repeat customers who were getting price gouged at an insane rate. Better to take your business to another place where they value customers and can own their mistakes.

I made an appointment for them to come take measurements so that they could give a quote. Their…read morescheduler offers 10:30a - 11:00a window for them to arrive, and I say that works for me. At 10:35a, I confirm the appointment for the day, and am told they are running a little late. I should have asked for an ETA because they are stil not there by 11:30a, at which point I call again, get voicemail, and get in my car to leave. But then they show up, and when I tell them I was about to leave because they were late, they said the appointment was for 10:30a to 11:00am, to which I agree but I point out they are still 30 minutes late, and they remain unapologetic. We enter the house and measure one window, then I ask them to take off their shoes before going upstairs, and they refuse. I ask why and they say that Insurance won't cover them if they take off their shoes. I ask them if they have plastic booties to cover their boots and they say no. They ask if I have plastic booties, and I do not. They also claim their shoes to be clean, but I feel like it is their responsibility to know that some customers want them to not wear their shoes in their house and to provide booties or take off their shoes. I also start wondering whether the shoes thing is a real issue for them or not -- how much danger is there in measuring windows? They tell me to wait, and they go to their truck and leave. I guess that is their way of "sticking it to me?". I mean, it was pretty clear that this was probably not going to work out, but being late, not owning up to it, not apologizing, and not even talking about or acknowledging a customers wants and desires about something as simple as removing ones shoes is indicative of how unprofessional and rude and unworthy this company is to have my and your business. The year is now 2015. We have ways to communicate about when we are running late, and when we will be places. By call, txt, email, anything really. And if we have disagreements, we should be able to work them out. I'm glad I didn't take my business any further with this provider. Good luck if you actually get into a disagreement with these folks about the actual work being done. Terrible. I will never call these guys again.

We were recommended by another company to come here and I can see why. Homer was really patient with me and spent a lot of time with my husband and I in trying to find the right flooring. On top of that, Homer answered my concerns and questions via email too. He is just wonderful! My only advice is to not ever get Mohawk tecwood, natural linen oak. It's my fault. I tried to research and I picked it. Homer tried to steer us to better quality to hold up for everyday use, but I was dead set on this. I should have listened. I will be back and listen to Homer next time. Just love this place!

Mixed experience with FMD Distributor…read more On the positive side, We worked with Homer for our flooring project and had a fantastic experience. He was courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to help. He made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience with Shawn on the windows and doors side was the complete opposite. He often came across as condescending, seemed distracted and in a rush, and follow-up was poor. Customer service and communication were disappointing, and we were left wondering why someone with that attitude is in a customer-facing role. Based on my experience, I would happily recommend Homer for flooring, but I cannot say the same for the windows and doors department.
