Since I was focused only on purchasing a vanity, I tried my best not to look at all the other products they carry, such as floor tiles, wood floors, bathroom tiles, shower fixtures, toilets, mirrors, shower doors, etc. So much to look at!! Richard helped me with my questions. He was knowledgeable and patient. He showed me comparable products around the floor then put my order together. Most items are in stock! That's great!! No need to wait for delivery. What I like about PHD is that I can purchase my products and my contractor can pick them up. I don't have to haul a vanity in my tiny car. Returns have a restocking fee. Make sure you like what you're getting.

They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.

My experience with Bay Stone Depot was extremely frustrating and disappointing…read more I purchased two stone slabs for my home, expecting premium quality and service given the price. Within weeks after installation, pit marks and dents began developing on the surface. Over the following months, additional defects continued to appear under normal use. When I reported the issue, Bay Stone initially acknowledged it as a quality concern but directed me to work directly with their supplier rather than handling it themselves. After months of follow-up, the supplier's representative inspected the slabs and offered replacement slabs. I then returned to Bay Stone to request some form of refund instead of replacement, since the cost of uninstalling and reinstalling the slabs makes the replacement offer impractical and financially unreasonable. Bay Stone indicated that a refund might be possible but claimed the supplier required the original slabs to be returned. That was not what I had been told. After I confirmed with the supplier that returning the originals was not required, Bay Stone changed its position. The manager, Kimberley, told me it was "not scientifically possible" for pit marks to develop after installation and suggested I should have identified the issue at delivery. I provided multiple dated photos showing the progression of the defects. After that, my messages went unanswered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership and empathy. Kimberley was not apologetic and did not appear interested in finding a practical resolution. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted, and ultimately, the issue was attributed to me for not raising it at delivery, even though the slabs appeared fine at that time. It felt as though once payment was made, accountability ended. When customers pay premium prices, they expect both quality materials and meaningful support if something goes wrong. In my case, that expectation was not met.

I was originally working with a different contractor and I had concerns that they weren't going to be able to meet my needs. That is when I met Tal Braun and he took in all of the information. There was zero pressure and he was very informative and insightful. He took me to see a project that his crew was working on in SJ and when I saw the crew working I knew that they were the right company for me. The most impressive part of the process is the communication amongst the teams. Despite supply chain issues and delays, they were still able to hit all of the timelines because we had to move out of the house for the construction. I won't belabor the review, just know that you can trust Tal and his team. He was straightforward and trustworthy throughout the process. I have already referred him to several friends. If you have any doubts, drop them and go with Tal!

We had given notice to our apartment to move out in a month so that we don't bear both the mortgage and the rent together. Hence we only had a month to remodel the Kitchen so speed to completion was the highest priority for me. We did get bids from 2 other companies as well and we went with Remodel Design and Build after talking to Tal (their Project Mgr). The first thing that set them apart was the in-person time they spent in looking at the Kitchen, measuring everything, and providing detailed specifics on what needs to be done. At the end, they provided me a detailed quote on each and every line item, unlike others who lumped everything in their quote which could quickly turn into guess work. The second thing was the Time to completion. They gutted the old kitchen and fully finished the new kitchen to perfection in 3 weeks time (including permits, inspections, labor etc).. This was unbelievable and was the most important aspect for us. Nhi was our Foreman and had an excellent handle on things. He foresaw many things upfront and gave us suggestions to change or replace so that things fall well in place. As you can imagine, gutting a kitchen, replacing flooring and getting a new kitchen including all appliances installed is no small job, but Nhi and team finished everything on Time and the day we moved in is when they moved out.. Could not have asked for a better timing with my 4 yr old and old parents with me, the last thing I wanted was a dusty and noisy home. But it was well taken care of before we arrived so that we can start living. They are definitely not the cheapest out there but they are the most professional, on time, transparent and don't charge a dime beyond what was signed on the dotted line. I am a return customer of Apex Marble. The first time was to purchase and have them fabricate and install a marble vanity countertop and tub/shower enclosure 2 years ago. The second time was to install quartzite countertops in an upgraded kitchen just last month. I was completely satisfied with both experiences. Even though they have a fairly small selection of marble, granite and quartzite slabs, the quality, colors and grain characteristics of their slabs were much better than we could find at any other marble warehouse in the bay area (San Jose, Hayward, Union City, Palo Alto, Redwood City, etc.). Their salesmen were very knowledgeable and helpful about the materials and tradeoffs for our specific projects. Their fabricators did an excellent job, especially around our new undermount farmhouse sink and insert into a cabinet tambour. Their installers were punctual, careful no to ding or mare any cabinets, doors or walls, and did a great job. Even after the kitchen countertops were installed and payed for, I noticed a dull spots on one of the countertops, and they returned and polished it up to ensure that they had a customer that was completely satisfied with their work. With regard to price, they were very competitive in both the material, fabrication and installation costs. With regard to value (quality of the material, workmanship and customer satisfaction for the money paid) they are the best in the area. Thank you for a terrific experience! I grew up in the trades and became a licensed contractor in 1999 specializing in high-end custom work. I resented the daunting task of hiring anyone to work on my house for the final piece of the kitchen remodel. Before the demo started, problems arose and I decided to do all work myself (except granite). My wife and I were very frustrated with the service and product availability until making one last stop at Apex marble showroom. Besides knowledgeable and courteous sales people, along with a wide selection to look at we found the perfect slab of granite. From making an appt. for measuring and template the experience just got better. The installer actually asked if I wanted to be present when the cutting and design was being done in case I had a certain grain or design in mind. Glad I did, because without the recommendations and expertise of Julio, the installer and foreman, the finish would not have been fantastic. His help in directing us would have left the final remodel bland, to say the least. We had 32 people over for Thanksgiving and our kitchen countertops were a huge hit. The best thing was not one issue, no complaints just gratitude to all those involved. Sincerely a happy, happy customer forever. (BTW, we saved 1,588.00 from the next retailer and the slab was mediocre compared to our slab from Apex.) read more

The only complaint I could have with Apex is there selection is rather small compared to their competitors in the area but with what they do have, I found their prices VERY reasonable. I did a lot of shopping around and they beat most everyone by 10 to 20% easily for my choice which was Kashmir Gold granite for a shower/bath stall and Lady Dream for the sink. At first I was slightly disappointed that I would have had to purchase another slab in order to match the sink and shower but I saw a Lady Dream remnant and after haggling a little on the price they sold it to me at what was a pretty good cut rate price even for a remnant. It pays to be a little creative and this color combo turned out to be genius on my part because the cabinet was dark cherry and the contrast was absolutely gorgeous. The installers showed up on time and went right to work. They finished in about six hours and returned two days later to finish the shower shelf inset. The results are quite breathtaking and we could not be happier. Cost of entire package was around 2400. 00. If anyone thinks that is expensive don't even bother with a project like this because you aren't up to it. read more

From the time we walked into Apex Marble, the team was welcoming and willing to help. The design specialist helped us confirm that the flooring, cabinetry, splash tile and granite counter tops would be good together. We picked out our slab that day and they were able to store it for us until we were ready to measure/install. Raj and his team at Apex Marble go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. When my "scope" changed due to a slight modification in the cabinetry configuration, it was no problem for the Apex Team to remain flexible on the job, making slight tweaks here and there to cover my lapses in planning. After we selected a piece of prefab granite and it was ordered, we discovered it could not be used in our masterbath. Raj worked with us in selecting a granite slab and helped us decide which edge would work for our area. He came to our home to double check that the edge would work without cutting it on an angle or taking out a notch. Apex was on the smaller side as far as selection, but was the biggest on customer service from all of their staff. We shopped other shops and finally came back to Apex. Raj is very helpful and spends time to work with you. Julio, the template and installation person is very professional. I strongly recommend to everyone. I actually signed contract with KZ (cheaper installation but not worth it) and they installed and broke the slab at the sink area. Blamed on big sink hole. KZ repaid for another slab and would reinstall with a condition that I have to pay 50% if the next installation has the same problem. I worked with Carolina from APEX for my new house construction slab needs. It was a great experience. This place has a large selection of various natural and manmade stone, and offers great price if you purchase more. I've been working with Michele at Apex Marble to purchase a quartzite slab, and the experience has been fantastic. I made several trips trying to decide, and she was always patient, giving me quotes so I could compare and even suggesting great backsplash ideas for each slab. Apex Marble is terrific! I explained to Raj the kind of granite I had in mind for our kitchen and he immediately showed me exactly what I had been searching for. Apex Marble did exactly what they said they would do. When we purchased the material, Apex said to call them when we are ready for the installation and it will be measured, fabricated and installed within a two week period. She explains everything in detail and with great patience. We were mostly focused on bathroom vanity and she explained a variety of options for how to mix and match the countertop with vanities since we were looking for a not standard size. Filler, bullnose, toe-kick, prefab, all these foreign terms became easy to understand after Terry's explanations. They carry mostly factory made inventory, so if you want a standard size item, Granite Expo is not a bad choice. Bathroom is clean with plastic seat cover, free coffee machine and a good size showroom for kitchen and bath. We ended up buying a vanity and since we picked up the same day, we got the month discount. Everything was up to satisfactory, but the item we bought did not come with warranty. Terry warned us to examine the product carefully before acceptance and to their credits, the delivery team brought 2 items for us to choose since the first one had some color stain. They carry American made brands and European brands, so the vanity has the American shaker style as well as the European flat panel styles.

BUT after owning it for 4 years we saw a crack that is an about 16 inches long on the surface. We met with and tried to explain what we were experiencing, not to complain about the craftsmanship or quality of their quartzite but to look for solitons to see what we can do about the crack. We were just met with nastiness and blame on how we probably stood on top of it, or that how our house settled, or that we somehow damaged it ourselves. Again we were not looking to blame or shame them, just someone to come out to take a look at give us options. We showed Nico pictures and he insisted we had to take different ones in which we did and he said he will send someone out to take a look.. no one ever came and he was nasty wirh us throughout the entire process. Its really sad because we paid over $10k for the stone and install. Theses guys do not take responsibility for anythjng and will shame you for even asking. BEWARE!!!!

I went with a 3" edge on the island (displayed in showroom) and 2" on the counter tops. I was also able to find two beautiful slabs of Quartzite to complete my dream kitchen which i went with because of the durability. Unfortunately less than 1 year in, the seams started failing and absorbing moisture. I reached out to them and was told the person that handles those kind of repairs was out on disability. So i was patient and continued to follow up. 3 or 4yrs in I have had the repair person out multiple times and he has attempted to repair but with no results and is now not returning my messages. I feel my expensive large Island and countertops are ruined and cannot be repaired as they have gone silent. Very disappointed.

The other smaller shops just making a model on computer based on the idea I told them. I want professional to provided suggestion to build on my idea. Something likes "it would be cheaper and easier to install if you do this..." When I asked questions regarding to specific details, most of the people I talked to at the other cabinet places could not answer. Advance was the fifth cabinet place I visited. I talked to Patrick on my first visit. He is very knowledgeable and quick in thinking. He caught some of the mistake in our floor plan, and explain why certain things have to be added to the order. I had problem finalizing the color. Patrick helped us on that as well. When we finalize the plan, the price is lower than all the other estimates I received. The cabinets and the quartz were delivered without any problem. They look exactly as I imaged after they are installed. Everything fitted perfectly. Patrick even helped us resolving a couple installation issues on the same day. I would recommend Advance Cabinets to anyone.

We ended up at advance cabinet halfway through our house renovation project when we had already placed an order for kitchen cabinets but were still hunting for everything else. Store is not large but among the selection they had they managed to tick all the boxes for me. I wanted solid wood, non white option and advance had these beautiful natural solid wood cabinets. I got excited and quickly placed an order for both our bathrooms. We had worked with Patrick, he is easily the smartest person we had come across over the course of our remodel hunt. He had renderings drawn up in a few minutes and provided unbiased feedback. We were meanwhile also trying to design our tv wall. We got quotes in the upwards of 20k for just that wall and I knew I didn't want to spend so much. Then an idea struck me, why not use the cabinets from advance which are typically meant for bathrooms and kitchens in this area as well? With some careful planning I knew I could make this work but needed validation. We ended up at advance again and shared the idea with Patrick and within a few minutes and in less than 3k we got cabinets for the tv wall. Overall highly pleased with the experience and quality of what we got. They also have a huge selection of flooring options.
