They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.

My experience with Bay Stone Depot was extremely frustrating and disappointing…read more I purchased two stone slabs for my home, expecting premium quality and service given the price. Within weeks after installation, pit marks and dents began developing on the surface. Over the following months, additional defects continued to appear under normal use. When I reported the issue, Bay Stone initially acknowledged it as a quality concern but directed me to work directly with their supplier rather than handling it themselves. After months of follow-up, the supplier's representative inspected the slabs and offered replacement slabs. I then returned to Bay Stone to request some form of refund instead of replacement, since the cost of uninstalling and reinstalling the slabs makes the replacement offer impractical and financially unreasonable. Bay Stone indicated that a refund might be possible but claimed the supplier required the original slabs to be returned. That was not what I had been told. After I confirmed with the supplier that returning the originals was not required, Bay Stone changed its position. The manager, Kimberley, told me it was "not scientifically possible" for pit marks to develop after installation and suggested I should have identified the issue at delivery. I provided multiple dated photos showing the progression of the defects. After that, my messages went unanswered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership and empathy. Kimberley was not apologetic and did not appear interested in finding a practical resolution. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted, and ultimately, the issue was attributed to me for not raising it at delivery, even though the slabs appeared fine at that time. It felt as though once payment was made, accountability ended. When customers pay premium prices, they expect both quality materials and meaningful support if something goes wrong. In my case, that expectation was not met.

I was originally working with a different contractor and I had concerns that they weren't going to be able to meet my needs. That is when I met Tal Braun and he took in all of the information. There was zero pressure and he was very informative and insightful. He took me to see a project that his crew was working on in SJ and when I saw the crew working I knew that they were the right company for me. The most impressive part of the process is the communication amongst the teams. Despite supply chain issues and delays, they were still able to hit all of the timelines because we had to move out of the house for the construction. I won't belabor the review, just know that you can trust Tal and his team. He was straightforward and trustworthy throughout the process. I have already referred him to several friends. If you have any doubts, drop them and go with Tal!

We had given notice to our apartment to move out in a month so that we don't bear both the mortgage and the rent together. Hence we only had a month to remodel the Kitchen so speed to completion was the highest priority for me. We did get bids from 2 other companies as well and we went with Remodel Design and Build after talking to Tal (their Project Mgr). The first thing that set them apart was the in-person time they spent in looking at the Kitchen, measuring everything, and providing detailed specifics on what needs to be done. At the end, they provided me a detailed quote on each and every line item, unlike others who lumped everything in their quote which could quickly turn into guess work. The second thing was the Time to completion. They gutted the old kitchen and fully finished the new kitchen to perfection in 3 weeks time (including permits, inspections, labor etc).. This was unbelievable and was the most important aspect for us. Nhi was our Foreman and had an excellent handle on things. He foresaw many things upfront and gave us suggestions to change or replace so that things fall well in place. As you can imagine, gutting a kitchen, replacing flooring and getting a new kitchen including all appliances installed is no small job, but Nhi and team finished everything on Time and the day we moved in is when they moved out.. Could not have asked for a better timing with my 4 yr old and old parents with me, the last thing I wanted was a dusty and noisy home. But it was well taken care of before we arrived so that we can start living. They are definitely not the cheapest out there but they are the most professional, on time, transparent and don't charge a dime beyond what was signed on the dotted line. I was doing a kitchen remodeling (DIY) project on a tight budget and was very lucky to find these guys. They are very knowledgeable and really know what they are doing. Also, they are passionate (in a good way) about their job and the best thing that happened to me on this project - they really educated me about the granite and how not to get into trouble. M.C gave us a reasonable quote - not the lowest in numbers but the best bang for our buck. I was a little bit disappointed that it took a while to get the ball moving once we signed the contract. Too busy,too expensive,error on slab quantity (I could have shelled out another $4k for quartzite slab!)and quick to run out the door after install so used someone else. My bathroom countertops do look nice though. I feel bad with only one star but the price gouging and big error regarding # of slabs was bad!

We had a undermount sink failure because previous granite installer didn't mount it…read morecorrectly.Unfortunately,the granite had to be ripped out to replace the sink.I picked out Taj Mahl quartzite from All Natural Stone and Yolanda (she's awesome)recommend a few amazing fabricators and LA was one of them.I told her I wanted to use LA.(had a few conversations with them)She said they were great and I'll be very happy. They did our demo first and explained why the sink failed-bad materials/metal rods etc)All of the materials surrounding the sink was crumbly with wet rot so they put in new plywood. Orlando patiently went through templating with me.I appreciate the extra attention he gave my layout,the wavy pattern on my countertop flows seamlessly.High end job for sure! The counter install hit a snag because one section of cabinets flanking our stove was higher.They spent a great deal of time to level it.I think most fabricators would have either proceeded with the job,or demand I hire out a carpenter to fix. Initially was going to settle and use previous company I used to install my Silestone bathroom countertops ( Lito's Marble & Granite)Out of the 3 bids I rec'd theirs was crazy high.They insisted I had to have 3 slabs.Even after I pointed out the other 2 fabricator quotes said 2 slabs would be plenty. I recommend L&M for a high quality job,they are hardworking and HONEST. I'm so glad we went with LA Marble & Granite! Their attention to detail,patience,competitive pricing and just over all wonderful guys made this remodel PERFECT. Also happy they will hold on to our left over slab for a future project for us. Once our backsplash is in I'll add more pics.

Professional, courteous, fair, friendly and mostly, they did a superb job in my kitchen!! New to the west coast, and new home homeowners, we had to start from scratch with finding contractors to update our home. We started with the kitchen, and I was referred to several granite fabricators by Bedrosians, where we were choosing our granite. I called A Touch of Stone, and spoke with Mary, who was extremely professional, warm and explained the whole process of choosing the stone, template and layout process. She even emailed me a summary sheet of the entire process. I had a quote within two days. I did my due diligence and got about 5 other quotes. Every other contractor I communicated with was no where nearly as professional and they were either at the same coast or higher than A Touch of Stone. It was clear that going with Touch was the best choice. There was some hold up with my granite selection at Bedrosians, and because the owner of A Touch of Stone (Tony) has such a great reputation, he pulled some strings and helped speed up the time frame in which my granite was delivered. (this was huge for me as our kitchen was already demoed and we had plywood for countertops. Very difficult- esp with 2 young kids) I met Tony and Mary in person when I went to the shop for the layout process. (basically, laying out the template of the counters and backsplash on the slabs so you can choose exactly where you want particular veins and markings within your kitchen or bath) the first thing Tony suggested was to change my edging choice. He suggested a more upscale look (which I thought I couldn't afford) and told me it would cost the same as my original choice. I was thrilled. Tony took ample time with me to layout the counters and made sure I understood exactly what he was doing through the entire process. I also worked with two of his crew, Miguel and Adrian- great professionals who clearly take such pride in their work. They even left me a few extra pieces of granite which I can use for a hot plate or similar. I will definitely call A Touch of Stone when we do our bathrooms over. This company went above and beyond, and my kitchen looks fantastic!!!

Juan in particular personally helped us in creating the mosaic design & colors for an Arts & Crafts fireplace frontage and kitchen backsplash. We used the compay again for a recently-completed outdoor kitchen - for the sourcing, cutting, and installation of the countertops, and artisan tilework for its backsplash. We are competely pleased with the results, and have received numerous compliments on it. We highlly recommend this outfit.
