This place was recommended to me by my niece. I had an awful experience. This place is pricey. I miss my manicurist who moved out of state. I'm in search of a new person. Let me say that this place is not it! A person named Lynn worked on my nails. She started popping of my acrylic nails with another acrylic nail. I'm familiar with this method. I've had it done before but the nail is thinned out first. She did not do this. She tore my nail up. It was bleeding bad and I told her that I'm not paying for this. Then someone else came into to finish her job. (Kim). Kim tells me I should have told the nail tech to thin them out first?? WTF?? I'm sorry that is not my job. Suffice to say she wasn't much better. I had nice nails before I got there. I just wanted to take my acrylics off and get a gel mani and reg pedi. Now they are short and messed up. Horrible! Big disappointment! Not going back. I want to start off by saying I'll pay however much it is for a good mani and a good pedi but in my opinion, spending $110 on a basic manicure and a gel pedicure is a rip off. Not to mention I didn't get any design on it at all. Before I've spent $115 on a set of nails that was all decked out with designs and gems for a wedding. This visit left a bad taste in my mouth. The staff was friendly but the lady doing my feet looked new and didn't exactly do what I wanted. I had to tell her to cut my nails shorter, and to scrub hard when I'm paying extra for the foot scrub. She was gentle and it didn't feel like she was even cleaning my feet properly. Then I asked to do gel builder on my hands, and they had like 3 different people doing my nails. It was annoying. To top everything off, I asked for white on my hands and the lady doing my hands was clearly rushing. And that's that they weren't even busy. She was rude and didn't look like she wanted to be there. I looked at my "almost finished" nails and on every finger there was bumps from the powder and dust! I told her no it doesn't look right and she was moody and took it off my nails and I felt like I was forced to get a color that I didn't want! I went to them to do something simple and quick (with no designs) and I spent about 2 hours there. Wasted time. I went to them twice during Covid and I loved the service, now I would never recommend this spot to anyone. Definitely not worth the money and is a rip off. $110 for a set of nails? I didn't even want to give this place one star. The customer service here is awful. If you like to wait along time then this is the place for you. Made an appointment with Kelly for 12pm but received a call saying she had to leave and was it ok to have someone else do my nails. I said it was fine. Got to the shop 5 minutes early and the person who was to do my nails was with someone else. I waited for 25 minutes before I left and no one even said anything to me about when I would get my nails done. Walked into this nail salon with high expectations based off of good service that a friend mentioned. My nails were done by the new young man that just started to work there. I understand everyone needs to start somewhere, but for such a well known/talked about nail spa in town, I wish management would test their new hires on themselves before letting him work on clients ( I don't think he was ready to be on the floor quiet yet) Bulky nails, shape was off, I appreciate him trying to fix it but he kept blaming it on my previous set and said if I wanted it shaped better I would need to get a whole new set (not to mention I went in with a natural nail length that were square/round and was going in for a simple acrylic/gel fill) pretty easy to shape compared to long stiletto nails if you ask me lol. Most if not all salons have the same process when applying gel and he missed about 75% of the process (by this point i didn't ask why he hadn't done certain things anymore when applying gel). In the end he charged me more than what my friend was charged for long acrylic/gel stiletto nails and proceeds to say "it really depends on the nail tech" like really gee that's fair? Owner/nail technician was nice. I explained that I normally don't get my nails done so I'm not savvy on the latest trends. He was approachable, meaning not intimidating. The acrylic nail and glue got stuck to my skin so when he was filing the sides of my nails he cut me. I pointed it out and he apologized. He said that it happened because "my nails are flat; this was the first time he has seen nails like this". I seem to get cut by every nail salon... The location has ample parking. It's nice and clean inside. Most of the nail technicians are young. One of the nail technicians was talking to the customers in a casual not professional way. They were talking about today being 4-20...and other stuff I'd rather not write. If you are comfortable with that kind of talk, then you might enjoy this atmosphere. I'm sort of conservative in public but to each their own. In my opinion it Is definitely not for the older adult crowd. Bottom line is, yes I would return because I work down the street. I had a bad experience here. For starters, I waited about 45 minutes with my feet soaking in water and I was about to leave, until someone finally helped me. Secondly, I think that they are way too overpriced for what you get. The pedicures here are double what I usually pay and they are much lower quality. I also ended up getting a full set and I am unimpressed. After a week and a half, 2 of my nails came off and I didn't even do anything to cause that to happen, the entire nail just came off altogether. I spent $83 for low quality and poor service. Worst place ever! My friend recommended me here, because she goes to kelly. Unfortunately the person that did my nails did a horrible job, my nails were completely uneven and they chipped after 2 days. Kelly told me to come back and see her, so I did. However she didn't realise that she double booked and even though I said I just want u to do my nails she promised me this other person was just as good. They did an even worse job then the first person and my nails were all streaky. So now I've come back to kelly she took my gels off and didn't realise she left her kids lunch at home. So she has now disappeared and it's been 50 minutes. Her colleague called her and she said she is stuck in traffic so what can she do! There isn't even anyone else to do my nails. I give this place 5 stars because it's nice, clean and friendly staff. But the reason I'm giving 3 stars is for the nails I didn't really check or notice till I got home. My full set I got a cute design and all so I guess I was excited that I didn't really pay attention to them in detail but when I got home I notice my nails where not all the same shape some nails were longer then other very uneven and some nails the acrylic was thick and others the acrylic was thin very ugly job. As for my pedicure I just got a basic pedicure but it went by to fast she didn't even shape them one of my toes nails were round the other square and my nail polish started to chip the next day which I was upset about and for the price of both it was a bit expensive which I didn't mind since in the moment I thought it was nice and thought you get what you pay for for but no I was wrong. I usually go to JOJO mails down the street I love that place but I was in a hurry and my sis in law was already getting her nails done there so I decided to give that place a try but I don't think I will go back there ever I'll just continue to go to JOJO nails. I was looking for a local nail shop, so I decided to stop here. It's by my favorite pizza spot. Walking in my first thought was "wow"!! Beautiful, clean environment. I sat down to get my pedicure and gel manicure. Both gals working on me seemed miserable. My manicure came out beautiful. And I chose white which is usually hard to pull off. My toes however... all filed crooked, the polish looks bubbly and chunky. I ask her to fix the filing and she filed over the polish... which made it look worst. I love the hot towel that's included with the 20 dollar express pedicure. Prices were pretty good and competitive for the area. But this is one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. From the beginning the experience was bad. We had an appointment for two, another client came in demanding my nail manicurest because she had set an appointment with him. The manicurest brushed me aside; the next manicurest had to file my nails constantly because they were crooked. I asked her to fix them 3 times before she actually fixed them. My sister went in for a fill, was charged 40 for a fill and 35 for a pedicure with no gel. Not only were they unprofessional but had no sense of customer service skills. Overpriced! Lana is the best she is a perfectionist once you get your nails done with her you will not be able to go with anyone other than Lana. I always get compliments on my nails because Lana makes sure that all the nails are symmetrical and that the gel has a thin covered not at all the thick gel filling that some people do. This used to be my go to nail spa since I moved to the area. But the last two times I've been here, it's been terrible! The last time esp I had a gentleman do my gels and He was just doing them so quickly that he cut two of my fingers! It was so bad, but I still tipped him. I just told myself this is the last time. The other two ladies were just sitting on the spa chairs on their phones with their bare feet on the spa which I can understand when it's slow but not in front of customers please. They have great gel selections but as for regular paint colors not so great. Most of the bottles are half empty, dried out and knock off brands. This was my first visit to this nail salon for a manicure. I made an appointment, and service was timely. My Manicurist was Ki who was so unprofessional there isn't even a word to describe her. Not only did she fail the first rule of customer service, which is to introduce oneself, she then spent more time looking at her cell phone and reading her messages than looking at my nails while she was working on them. I seriously thought she was reading directions on how to do a manicure. Unfortunately, her lack of care and service is what shows in the end. I had long healthy natural nails going in, and even though I showed her very specifically what length to shorten them to, I left with nothing more than nubs; jagged ones at that! I also specifically told her I wanted them the same shape; semi-rounded, not square. Well, I guess she doesn't know the difference. My jagged nubs are square, which makes sense because she cut and filed them so short, there was nothing left to round. The so-called massage was a joke, maybe 30 seconds on one hand, and 18 on the other. Because of this unprofessional, unskilled, careless and rude employee, I would give this business negative stars if it was an option. I did inform the girl at the front desk who took my money (full price by the way), had her feel the jagged nubs, and look at the length. She agreed this was poor quality. She stated she would inform the owner because this is not the quality they want to be portrayed. No offer to have someone fix it; probably because there is no way to fix it other than time to allow them to grow again. No offer of a refund or discount, but there was an apology, which I will try and remember as I smooth out the jagged nubs and wait for them to grow out so I can get them back to the length and shape they were before this nightmare. Overall the salon was clean and tidy, but files were previously used and it is unknown whether required sanitizing is up to code. I've been to other salons where they actually open a sealed package of sterilized tools in front of you and they were less money than what I spent at this place. Obviously, I would never return to this salon, nor would I recommend the place to anyone else. read more
