We requested to be discounted for the poor service and the manager refused. Along with that, while we were requesting a discount/ partial refund, there were two females (one getting her nails done and another just loitering) that were harassing us (they were racist and discriminating) and the manager had NO PROBLEM with that. She allowed them to slander us and guess what?? BOTH the manager and the females called the cops in a false manner. The cops of course stood by our side and said the business/ women were in the wrong. The cops told us to call the business back to talk to actual OWNER without the women around and write a Yelp review to let everyone know how this business is ran. To add to that the manager smirked, laughed, and kept studdering/changing her statements during the whole incident of those two women acting ballistic! The females were yelling at my younger sister... a minor... saying how they wanted to jump us.... disrespecting our races....just stating all kinds of crazy things and the manager allowed it AND continued with the one woman's service. I did not even try to add fuel to whatever fire those women tried to start because it was child games. I was only trying to take it up with the manager, however the manager was ignoring the fact of the matter at hand. She was not owning up to accountability. Any other business would have kicked out those women too, for causing ruckuss and intervening in other customers affairs. Even one of the females tried trapping in my pregnant sister by closing the door and standing in front of it so that she would pay full price (at the time it was only my older sister and her boyfriend in there paying when that happened). They closed the door and stood in front of it. And the manager just allowed it. Totally classless. I mean I can't believe a business would allow another customer to try to keep someone captive. Legal lawsuit some would say. This place says 'cash only' (when they actually do apparently accept card)....so that they can keep your money and make it impossible to get any type of refund that you deserve AND they do not give you a receipt. Me and my mom went somewhere else and I had nails that were nothing like what I asked for and my mom asked for a light pink gel x and recieved a hot coral pink color. My gf made it a point to give them her name and it sounded like they didn't care for it...( you'll see why later). We arrive on time if not a few minutes early, well at arrival they tell my gf there is no appointment and that they would have to talk to her manager. Well it was actually the owner that went ahead and made the appointment. And my gd made it a point to tell the staff. The lady tending her walked away didn't say a word and continued to work on the customers she had. So disrespectful and rude, we waited for about 15 mins and they didn't say anything the whole time. I can see why they don't take names, they over book on purpose to get a sale and lock you in. And when it's too busy for them they just blow you off and tell you they have no record of an appointment and of course they don't because they don't bother taking your name.... How convenient right? Very unprofessional environment, not the first time this has happened, my gf has told me other situations where something similar happened. The goal for them is to get a sure sale and that means double booking, as long as they get they're seats full by closing time they have no issue with people waiting or driving away pissed off. From the look of the reviews this seems to be a thing. So if your looking for quality, professionalism and a strong foundation of customer service please go some where else. Came to Polished Nails on 06/29 as a walk in for a pedicure and was seen within 20 minutes. There were only 2 other customers and social distancing restrictions were being observed. I was pretty happy with the quality of work. Fast forward to today 07/01 and I scheduled an appointment for 3:00pm for 2 people. I walked in and there were many people waiting around inside. I waited until 3:40 to even be seen. When they finally took me I was told they were not able to do a dip ombré nail (at my usual nail spot in Seattle they've never had an issue with doing dip ombré nails). Since they weren't able to do a nail style that I wanted, I told them it would be okay and that I didn't want to get my nails done. Similarly, I brought my mom with me for an acrylic set and she hadn't been seen at all - at this point it was close to an hour of waiting and we decided to leave. They didn't seem too bothered until we walked out. Shortly after, while in my car, a woman came out to see if I wanted to do ombré dip nails. Like what ??? I just walked out because you all didn't have time and you told me you weren't able to do the style I asked for. I won't be coming back here. I called on a Friday around 5 asked if they had time for a full set and the receptionist who answered was super nice and told me to go in and asked for my name! I got there around 6 and the receptionist was again super kind in person as well and had me check in while she found someone to do my nails I didn't even wait 5 minutes and sat down with Lisa! Lisa was so sweet and kind and when I told her I wanted ombré nails she delivered! From the moment I sat down and she started my nails she was so kind! Yes I know it's what they have to do but she never made me feel like a bother or in a rush for showing up at 6 when they close at 7. She did such a beautiful job and was gentle I told her I bite my nails and she made my nails a good length where my nails won't snap off. All and all I've found my new nail place and nail tech! Friday I went in and originally, I had an appointment with Ken when I showed up for my appointment, some other lady took me and I wanted gel X square nails and they kept coming out crooked she kept having to rip them off and glue them back on. I asked for a black chrome and what I got just looks plain black the polish was really thick and clumpy so my nails look really thick and sloppy she kept getting the powder all over my nail beds and kept using more and more nail polish remover to takeoff the access powder on my fingers, but it burned really bad from her cutting me. I did not like my nails, but I was so tired at that point I just left.
