This has been a long time coming. I've been going here for three years and I've always been less than impressed but just haven't found a new place. The ladies/men who do nails are all sweet. But the front desk is so unfriendly. It's consistent every time I come in and always feels like I'm an inconvenience. I've never walked in and been acknowledged with a smile or a "hi" - super awkward. My gel manicures last for maybe a week max and the prices are high. I have been here a few times for a pedicure because it's my sister's favorite place do get her GelX manicure done but today was absolutely exceptional!!! Lynn did my pedicure and it was the best massage and full treatment ever! I pick a mid priced, the Hot Stone one, which came with a 10 min massage but Lynn made every minute count and left my legs and feet feeling so much better then when I came in. I always love how nice and efficient the people are when you come in. My sister highly recommends Polished Bar for their GelX manicures and I cannot recommend Lynn more for pedicures! Sad to say I'm actually pretty disappointed in today's nails. I've come here a couple times before covid because I was super pleased and even recommended this place to quite a few people but there's inconsistency with the quality of nails offered by the technicians. I was wondering why the lady (not going to say her name) was so familiar and realized that she was the one that did my nails the first time and I was really displeased back then too. She eyeballed the tips for my full set so it didn't cover the whole nail and there's bubbles in the builder gel on literally almost every nail. She didn't even out or really center the point of the v french, even the tails aren't the same length. To have paid $100 for these nails, I feel like she should've put more effort in how the nails turned out. Their Yelp page says walk-ins, but it's appointment only. From far away they look nice, but for someone who constantly looks at their nails and is very detail-oriented, these nails are going to drive me nuts. For 55$ I got the builder gel and an added 35$ was for the French and 8 pieces of butterflies. The builder gel price I get, Bc I would get it all the time, but 35$ for a French tip and butterflies???? I feel like I got conned, and I'm not sure if I'm coming back if there's inconsistencies like this quality and I have to pay 100$ every time for less than satisfactory nails. Nail artists on Instagram charge around the same as this place and have way better quality experiences. I really liked this place because I never payed more than 70-80$ for my nails and they always lasted a long time, but man did I just get whiplash. read more

My toe nails were so unevenly cut and my nail technician was on the phone the whole time, literally having the phone to her ear the entire time. I dont get color on my finger nails, so I'm super easy - all I want are clean nails - and cuticles weren't even removed. It maybe took 12 min and that's including the 'masage'. I went here once for fake nails. I've gotten them done before and have always been happy with the results. When I went to Polished Bar, I had high expectations based on the reviews. I had a picture of the nails I had in mind and the nail tech tried her best to replicate the picture. I didn't like the feeling of the fake nails, or the fact it covered my entire nail. Usually it's just glued onto the nail portion. Then I requested a French tip with gold and a ribbon on one nail. The ribbon looked more like scissors but that was the least of my concerns. I thought it was okay while I was at the nail salon and hadn't really noticed the differences between the picture and my nails until I left the salon. I was a bit disappointed but they looked okay and I didn't want to ruin nails that cost me almost $100. So I decided to stick it out. But later when FaceTiming a family member, they confirmed my concerns which were that they didn't look as good as my previous nails and did not look like the picture. I ended up going to a different salon to get them redone. The reason I'm giving three stars and not less is because I DID think and say they looked okay in the nail salon so I'm partially at fault as well. read more

I asked for a new dip manicure and the nail tech named Ivy decided to do a gel manicure instead, insisting it was better. I was charged $80.00 with an upsell of this chunky glitter on top even though I hated the color and said I didn't like chunky glitter, but felt she worked hard so I just dealt with it. And the shape was great! A week later my nail breaks. I'm floored to see mold growing under my nail after only a week. Turns out she didn't take the old clear dip base off my nail and start over she just layered the gel on top. Then the gel polish on top of that. Just a mess! $90.00 for a painful nail a week later. Horrible! Very disappointed. The man at the front is very nice though, I'd come Back strictly cuz of his kind service. And the nail techs seemingly do pretty work. It's always been overpriced but this time they cut 4 of my cuticles on one hand and 2 of them were bleeding. I've been coming here for a few years and never had an issue with their work. However, today's visit was a bad experience. I felt stinging after the tech sprayed alcohol on my toe, didn't realize how bad the cut was until I got home. Now that I am home I realized two of my toes were cut due to filing. Needless to say my pedicure was ruined since I have to add alcohol and ointment at home to hopefully prevent from getting an infection.
