put in a small amount of rice and salad for base. The 5 scoops of fish for large are ok scoops but not very good quality of fish (salmon and ahi). The man hands off the rest of the bowl to the woman and she does exactly what another reviewer said. She puts the tiniest quantity of items for the rest of the bowl. A couple slices of cucumber, a few slices of ginger, FIVE edamame beans (one for each scoop of fish?!). I ask for more ginger, she places one slice. I ask for more than five edamame beans, EXTRA CHARGE! FOR SOY BEANS, one of the cheapest things on the entire planet. Everything was a battle with this cheap woman. I have never had so much push back on a poke bowl. We will never return, one and done. Want a real poke bowl? North Shore is the best. Too bad they relocated from Cerritos to Huntington Beach. I'd rather have no food than return to this place.

I upgraded to a medium bowl and my "roll" was a crunch roll. With their poke bowls, their small bowl is two scoops of protein, their medium bowl is three scoops of protein, and their large bowl is 5 scoops of protein. I have to say...

say that I enjoyed my roll and my bowl, but my issue is that the scoops of protein are on the smaller side. The scoop is about the size of a knob of butter on a stack of pancakes. I was waffling between three stars and four. Even though I felt that what I ordered was delicious, I ultimately felt that the value and food experience was simply OK, which is three stars in the yelp scale. I do think that it's a good spot for poke and everything tastes good. If you're hungry, definitely go with a large bowl and don't overlook that "special combo" as it helps you maximize value.

Poki Roll has been around for a while, but it was only through yelp that I was able to find it. This spot is a small, family-owned business. The best value is their "special combo", which is a small poke bowl with a "base roll" for $15.50. I upgraded to a medium bowl and my "roll" was a crunch roll. With their poke bowls, their small bowl is two scoops of protein, their medium bowl is three scoops of protein, and their large bowl is 5 scoops of protein. I have to say that I enjoyed my roll and my bowl, but my issue is that the scoops of protein are on the smaller side. The scoop is about the size of a knob of butter on a stack of pancakes. Good poke. Fresh, and taste so authentic. The place is little and feels so homey. We came in the evening and it was pretty empty for sit down, the people helping us were helpful and nice. My husband and I had medium bowls, and my son grabbed a chicken teriyaki bento box.

$20 for a large poke bowl is pretty standard but the fact that this place was so stingy with their add ons. 3 pieces of cucumber, two strings of carrots and so on. You're paying for the fish and veggies are not that expensive that they have to put so little. Disappointed. Also got the lychee slushie with boba and the boba was hard as pellets which means it's olddddd!

Some of the best Poki I've had hands down. It not only looks great, but it tastes amazing. I love how fresh the fish and salad/topping items are. The service was prompt and I loved how clean and artsy the space was inside. In the City of Cypress, this may seem like a hole in the wall spot from the outside but is truly a hidden gem! I enjoy eating here and highly recommend trying this spot.

Finally had the chance to try this spot today! I arrived at around 5pm and there was no wait. I ordered 3 poke bowls and 1 premium roll. The man who took my order was friendly and easily prepared each different poke bowl, and my premium roll was finished at pretty much the same time as the bowls were done. My salmon tasted fresh, and all the toppings were great quality too. There are lots of different options for toppings, and everyone enjoyed their food. I will definitely be back!

This is a really nice poke joint to go to if you need your poke fix. We got a large poke bowl for $10.50, which is actually a pretty good deal for 5 scoops of protein. They have a deal for hand rolls, 3 for $8.50 which I also thought was a good deal. We even got complimentary miso soup! Feels like this place is a hidden gem in the Cypress area. Would definitely come back for more poke and sushi! read more

I come here for poke every time and it never ceases to amaze me. The quality of their bowls are just phenomenal, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their customer service is also very amazing, and they are extremely kind and patient. They offer to go the extra mile when it comes to making sure that you're over-satisfied. My new go to poke place! This place is serious about their bowls. The best poke I've had was in Hawaii and this place totally compares to it!! Rice is soft, everything is fresh, needed some help choosing things, but the two behind the counter were very helpful. Nice, clean interior. Will try the other things on the menu because really impressed with the poke bowls we got. Seriously, my husband and I were constantly saying, 'This is freakin good!' while eating. It's a hole in the wall, nestled underneath what I believe to be a korean school. Don't mistaken this place for the Poke Bomb nearby, this place is legit. read more

Story time: So I had only been to this place 3 times total over the last year, the last time being over 3 months ago I think. I always thought it was good, mainly because the customer service was top notch along with the poke, but I'm not much of a reviewer. I feel that should change now. Walked in today to see the familiar face of the nice man behind the glass eagerly awaiting his next customer. When he saw me, what he said next startled me: "OOOHHH HI! Long time!" He remembered me! this reminded me why I liked this place so much before, the customer service here is the best. Made the mistake of not eating here more often to save money, but this is well worth it. Good food and good friendly service, what more could you ask for. Now getting to the food... Most poke places I have been to give you TINY bowls with a few small scoops and call it good for $10. Not this place! The portions are very good and the scoops of whichever protein you choose are hefty. Usually at places I get large and am still hungry after, but here I can get a medium and be perfectly satisfied. The fish tastes very fresh, and the way they prepare it is very thorough. Not just piled on top of rice like some other places. The different toppings that you can add (I get everything) add a lot of flavor and make each bite like a symphony in my mouth. I give my highest recommendation to this place. read more

Order takeout and was surprised at how amazing the food was. We ordered a poke bowl and he bake salmon roll. They had a decent options, jut bummed there was no eel or eel sauce for the poke bowls. The bake salmon roll was so good and fresh tasting that I almost went back for another. The service was nice when everyone greeted me when I came in, and thanked me when I left. read more

Overall is pretty good food. The prices have gone up as many prices have across the nation. The food appeared to be fresh and the service staff was friendly. I would go back to this location as it is close to my house. I would hope in the future the prices become a little bit more competitive however I do understand the inflationary issues that face many restaurants these days. read more

I visited this spot after finding it on yelp. I came in and was intrigued by the atmosphere. It was very welcoming and relaxing. I ordered a large poki bowl and a poki roll with my boyfriend. They were very delicious. I especially liked the poki roll. The ingredients in the food were fresh and yummy. We were also given the option of having Miso soup on the house and it was also delicious. Service was great and the staff are very friendly so that was also cool. I am giving a four star rating, instead of 5, because I noticed that portions for the large bowl were smaller than I would usually expect. The scoops for the meats were pretty small and it looked like a medium portion in a large bowl. Other than that, the quality and taste was great! read more

Oh wow I came here when they just opened and they were cutting the fish! Good to know they cut their meat in the morning. And the sauce is really delicious not spicy or salty. Try mild if you are like me who don't eat spicy food. :-) read more

This place is a nice family run restaurant with great prices and good food. The staff is very happy and attentive. They check up on you even after they serve you. The place is clean with laid back music. I had the medium poke bowl and easily devoured the super tasty build your own Bowl. I have been here three times and have not been disappointed. Great poke place. They also have hot food and sushi. There are SO many toppings to choose from. All add ons are free for the first scoop (including avocado and krab). The service is great. They bring the bowls to you once they're made (which seems a little overkill to me even). There's a 10% discount for students. They also have a mini size (~$5) which was great for the 8 y/o we had with us. read more

This place is still the bomb.com. Compared to other non marinated, build your own poke bowl places in OC, poke roll remains the undefeated champion in my book. I've kept coming back since early 2018 for the California roll promotion and poke bowl. Gonna try their other menu items next time read more

Such an awesome restaurant in the middle of no-where. The food here is not authentic Asian food but the service here is top notch. They even got us soup to start with. Do note the address in Yelp will typically route you to a residential address but search for KFC which is a plaza over. I ordered Poki bowl with salmon and shrimp and I already told my girlfriend thst I would come back here for lunch everyday if I worked nearby. The price was perfect as well!! read more

Highly disappointed with their food. I ordered a poke bowl and it's the worst poke experience I've ever had. I couldn't believe this place has 5 stars on yelp. I had to spit out almost every other piece of salmon because there was so much cartilage. They gave me the worst parts of the fish. Most bites were too tough to chew I had to spit out everything. Okay...THEE BEST sushi and poki place ever. The customer service is PHENOMENAL, the prices are more than fair, and free miso soup with every dine-in order. The fish tasted super fresh, and I love how you customize your poki bowl like a "build-it yourself" poki bar. This place is a hidden gem on Lincoln street. Can't wait to go back! read more

So, this review is a long time coming. I first came here a year ago and decided to try it out because of the sheer convince of being able to place my order on yelp and pick it up. Don't judge, i'm a mom and I gotta make life as easy as I can when I can. lol I walk in and the first thing I see is an older man filleting a salmon right in front of me! I knew right then and there I found a gem! Picking up was very easy and the people who work there are friendly and informative. I mentioned that I'm a mom and therefore most of the time have mom brain.... I'm not stupid, just sleep deprived, mkay? I brought it home and was almost moved to tears at how delicious it was and how fresh the fish was too! I've been back .... a lot since then. This place is the best place i've EVER been to for poki. Not the Hawaiian style I love, but waaaaaaay up there! Give it a go if you're curious about trying this place! You won't be disappointed! read more

What truly made the experience stand out was Danny at the register. He was absolutely amazing and had incredible customer service. Once he found out it was our first time there and that they were close to closing, he went above and beyond and accommodated us with not one, but TWO chicken sandwiches on the house for us to try. That level of kindness and hospitality honestly made our night. We ended up getting an amazing combo with shrimp, chicken, macaroni salad, two Spam musubi, two chicken sandwiches, and two drinks -- all for only $22!!! The lady who helped us was super sweet and brought us some tea leaves of popular teas so that we could smell them to help decide on what teas we wanted to enjoy with our tea service. I ultimately decided on getting the chicken pesto sandwich with salad, blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie, and the California Persian tea (hot). My friend got the chicken salad sandwich with salad, classic scone, lemon bar, and earl grey creme tea (hot). The first things to come out were our tea pots. We were given tea timers so that we could take out our tea bags when time was up depending on how strong we wanted our tea, but I normally just leave my tea in the pot to brew forever and just refill with hot water (I'm so Asian). I did noticed that we were not provided with milk or sugar for our teas like at other tea places, but I was fine with that because I normally drink my tea plain. Maybe they provide it upon request but I didn't ask. My friend and I shared our tea items so that we could taste a bit of everything and it was all great! Both sandwiches were good, both flavors of scones had a tender crumb and were great with the cream and house made jam that came with it. My cookie reminded me so much of the Levain chocolate chip walnut cookie - soo good!!! The lemon bar was also perfectly tart and sweet. If you don't want a tea experience, don't worry, this is honestly a full service cafe and there are other items you can order like salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and even chicken pot pie! There's even a full coffee and matcha menu with so many different varieties of yummy looking drinks like Rose Espresso Latte, or Cloud Matcha Coconut! Who would've thunk in a little flower shop!?!? When you walk in you're greeted like a close friend or family member, you're then greeted by their plethora of menu items, me and my girlfriend got the medium Poki bowl (3scoops) which at the time of the review is $8.50 not bad for a bowl of Poki! After you order they bring your food to the table which to my surprise comes with a complimentary bowl of miso soup! I'm sure it doesn't cost them much but it's more than the competitors would give. In addition, they have poke bowls here with pretty good reasonable prices. I give it a five star review based on my dine in experience today (06/12/17). And the pricing is reasonable--especially given how much you get! I love the Spicy Tuna Roll--it's full of flavor and has just enough spice to make it interesting without being overwhelming. I normally opt for 2 scoops of tuna & 2 salmon, but I also enjoy their spicy tuna from time to time. The fish is always fresh, and they mix just the right amount of sauce in without overpowering the fish. I go for the original, ponzu, and spicy mayo, and ask for the sauce to be drizzled on the base for extra flavor as well. I will say sometimes the rice can be a little on the hard side, and sometimes there are some tough greens in the salad mix. You also get a good helping of imitation crab & avocado, and a good selection of other toppings as well for a really nice balanced bowl. The quality of the fish and flavor of the sauce is what keeps me coming back, and the service is always quick, so this is a nice last minute option if you're on the go!

It's $18.95 for a small bowl (2 scoops), but that doesn't even include the extra charges if you get avocado, Masago, and salmon. I get charging extra for avocado but charging extra for masago and salmon??? I decided to get salmon which made a single bowl $21. The only thing that made my order worth it was the Postmates coupon. Maybe it's more worth it to get a bigger bowl for a single order? I like the food here, but it was just the little things that added up that pushed my experience into average.

I think it's just one person taking orders and cooking. He put love into each plate and truly appreciates each customer. The value is incredible and he knows it too. I crave this so often!! I would not recommend the nigiri here... hahaha I got the combo and the rolls were fantastic but the fish was extremely solid and tough. No points off for that because everything was such incredible value. At the time I came, there weren't much, if any, seats to dine in here, but it is a fast casual spot that's healthy and packaged extremely well. I appreciate the cardboard platforms on top of our to go box to add the soup and salad on. Very thoughtful, very tasty, and VERY memorable.
