We finally made our way here for last minute dinner plans. Situated in the shopping are across from Target, parking can be full so be patient when driving through the lot. Greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. Our booth was cozy and loved the murals on the 3 walls. When in doubt, or you're confused in what to pick, go for the sashimi sampler - tuna, Yellowtail, salmon, snapper, maguro lay a top grated daikon and carrots and shiso leaves. Also garnished with seaweed, yamagobo, sunomono, lemon slice...you can tell a lot of work went into this plate. It was incredible, fresh, and super tasty on this hot summer day. The house sake, served cold was a perfect pairing. We didn't stop there! We also ordered: Jalapeno Yellowtail - love the sprouts garnish with the jalapeño oil and ponzu to finish off. Three amigos roll - spicy scallops roll, cucumber, avocado, tuna, albacore. Perfect to share. Yummy scallops! Got our veggies in with sunomono cucumber salad and veggie tempura. This sushi place seems to just keep getting better. Not sure if they had oysters before but I recently saw it on the menu. It is so good we get at least two orders everytime we come I also love all the nigiri they have. We usually pick the ones from Japan and it is delicious. The service is really good. I usually get my food without sesame and I noticed the other day they accidentally out a little sesame on it and instead of just picking it off and giving it to me the remade the whole order. Hidden gem sushi spot tucked into a strip mall in the Cypress area with plenty of parking. I've been coming here for years and even after moving to Orange, I still make the trip back because the consistency is unbeatable. Service is always prompt and courteous, and the sushi chefs are consistently on point. Everything comes out fresh and well prepared. I usually come for the happy hour. It's all day Mondays and Tuesdays, and Wednesday through Friday from 2 to 5. The truffled salmon is the reason I keep coming back. Rich, buttery, and melts in your mouth. Also ordered the salmon skin, smoked albacore, and blue crab hand rolls. All delivered. This place hits what matters most. Fresh fish, fair prices, and reliability. Tried Sushi World Sushi for the first time and I'm glad I did. From the outside, you can't really tell what it's giving, but inside it's actually a vibe. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork, and the bar area felt relaxed. They had football on the TV when I came in, and a few people were posted up watching the game. They also had music playing, and I caught myself doing a little bop at the bar, so yes, the vibe was vibing. Service was a highlight. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and attentive, checked on me throughout, and when I ordered oysters they offered me Tabasco, which was a nice touch. Oysters with a little Tabasco? 10/10. I also ordered the #2 bento box, and it was a mix of hits and a couple misses. The cucumber salad was good, the sushi was good, and the rice was solid. The tempura veggies were a little soft and could've been fried harder, plus a little salt would've helped. The chicken teriyaki leaned a bit dry, but the flavor was good. Quick dinner on a Friday after work. The staff is always welcoming and made sure to check in on us regularly. Our first time here was last. It was happy hour before 5pm. Prices are affordable and sushi was flavorful. Today, we ordered almost the same items but unfortunately there was barely any taste. It did not taste bad more like freshly unfrozen with only some flavor and little sweetness. I like this place and they put out good sushi. But I hope management reads the other reviews about the service. Ate dinner on a Wednesday night and place was not even half full. Ordered a few things from the kitchen and about 5 rolls. The food from the kitchen came out relatively fast. Then the waiting began. We didn't time it, but I'd say it took about 30+ minutes for the sushi to arrive. And they arrived all at once. Wish the chef would make them one at a time and send it out, rather than what seems like grouping it up and making everything all at once before sending it out together. By the time the rolls came, we were pretty full and had a tough time enjoying them. Also, wasabi and ginger do not come on the same plate, so you need to ask for it - would be faster if they just provided it together. read more

We used to frequent this Sushi restaurant due to their style and quality of sushi but most of all they always had great service, and ambiance overall. Recently that has declined. This last weekend we arrived at 6:30pm put our order in within 30 min of arriving and it was 8pm before we had even one roll on our table. We asked several times about our order we just kept getting the message we are busy. Pretty sure our waitress did not put our order in when we made it. Mind you the bar was full and those seated at the bar were getting roll after roll while we waited. The food was very good. The wait time, however. Around 7 pm on a Thursday night was 45 minutes for our food. That's after our order was placed. Huge to go orders and only two staffers running around meant hungry diners and then no open tables for folks waiting. Kind of a nightmare scenario. But once the food came, it was good. Then the real meal started with truffle seared salmon sushi, peppered salmon sushi, and salmon sushi! We had the Bentley roll which had seared salmon on top and spicy salmon inside. Wow. No compensation was offered, not even a drink or something while I waited. This could be all overlooked if the food was amazing but it was mediocre at best. I remember seeing lots of ads for this place during early covid times. Even though I live 5 minutes away, I couldn't make it here because we had our go to sushi place. We finally got to try this church after church on Sunday. We had a little group of 7. Tables here were either for 4 or 2 and there's the sushi counter. However they were able to put tables together pretty quick. (It wasn't busy here at all as there were only three other people) The menu consists of drink menu and a food menu. This place specializes in rolls, so that took up one side while the other side is everything else. Most of us opted for the katsu curry. We also got to try the unagi bowl, the karaage chicken. Spider roll, and spicy tuna roll. I just wanted to say taste wise, food is pretty spot on. I really liked the karaage chicken as it tasted like it was fried in potato starch. It has that light crispiness and airy. Not overly salty, totally appreciate this dish. The unagi Don was terrific. Has slight char on the eel and was the prettiest thing they made. But the sourness from the mirin flavor on the sushi rice was a bit much. Did wish they use less or mix it with regular rice. The katsu curry tasted like it wasn't from sushi cubes but rather curry powder. It was good but the potato and carrots were on the al dente side. Our katsu wasn't dry but was thinner than expected. Service here was good. Our waitress/front end/ water person did well. The rolls were okay, I do think for the price it was too thin. Most cut rolls are thicker than here. The bathroom is clean. If you see the inside of the men's bathroom, it's huge. Pretty much bigger than my bathroom at my pad. I'd come back for the unagi bowl and karraage chicken. I might give the curry one more try as they put those red pickles on the side like curry house days. read more

We do know that everything we've tried here with their guidance has been wonderful. It's especially fun to sit at the bar and watch the chef at work and listen to to him converse with our friends, who are regulars. Our go-to sushi place for years. Staff is wonderful, sushi is so fresh the fish are still moving. I recommend the blue fin sashimi. It melts in your mouth like butter. Amazing fresh wasabi.
