Poke Xpress is a cozy mom & pop store. The parking lot is small, so it is hard to find a spot. The interior is nicely decorated and Hawaiian themed. I stopped in only for a drink. *House Milk Tea - it was ok. The service was super nice and friendly. I'll be back to try their poke bowls and/or sushi rolls. Congratulations on serving the community for over 10 years.

The portions here were so big and the fish tasted very fresh! I definitely recommend a mix of spicy salmon and regular salmon. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was very casual. Great quick place for delicious poke!!

The owners are very friendly and the portions are generous! It definitely hits the spot when I'm having a craving. They have a lot of options and you honestly can't go wrong. Even people who I've taken here who aren't big fans of poke have enjoyed their sushi too!

I've been coming to this place for over 6 years. Huge portions, excellent service, the owner is super sweet and welcoming as always. My bowls are stuffed, I can't even see the protein. I highly recommend you get poke here!!!!

Fantastic little poke spot in Milpitas. Friendliest owners I've ever met, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. You start by picking your base: sushi rice, brown rice, or greens, then add your proteins with variety such was spicy salmon, tuna, shrimp, tilapia, tuna salad, tofu, etc. You can choose a spice level, and additional toppings such as edamame, corn, seaweed salad (so good), macaroni salad, crab, etc. I love to add spicy mayo and yuzu ponzo, plus eel sauce. Do not pass this place up!

The food here was delicious! The portion sizes were huge and everything felt fresh. The couple who served us was so sweet. The store was small but had a lot of cute decorations. Highly recommend!

This place hit the spot! I appeared a little indecisive when I first approached the counter to order but the lady was very good at suggesting the regular bowl (vs large) and helping me along. My bowl was standard sushi rice, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, edamame, Ginger, corn, onions, soy sauce, sesame seed and furikake. Very good poke bowl!

Stacked and flattened regular bowl of half rice/half mixed greens with 1 scoop of salmon, 1 scoop of tuna and 1 scoop of spicy salmon.

I honestly thought this place was closed down years ago, but I'm glad it's still around! It's located near Great Mall. .I ordered half sushi rice and half mixed greens, with one scoop of salmon, one scoop of tuna, and one scoop of spicy salmon. They had a lot of sauce options here which definitely made me want to come back to try out the different combinations. The fish tasted fine and had a decent texture. I ordered almost all the toppings except the ones that cost extra (avocado) and the pineapple. The poke bowl was very flavorful and it was a good quick grab & go meal. I ordered it spicy and it was definitely spicy. I wished they had wasabi as a topping though. This was the first time I'd seen a poke place have macaroni. However, the macaroni was okay and wasn't anything mind-blowing. I enjoyed the chipotle mayo sauce which I haven't seen at other poke spots. It gave it a good kick. The owners were really friendly and the portion sizes were really generous. I'm surprised they were able to fit the lid on after putting on everything. I couldn't even finish the whole bowl in one sitting so it was nice to have 2 meals instead of one. It's not my favorite poke place, but it's definitely a very solid poke spot with large portions.

SUPER NICE!!! LOTS OF POKE!! CALM MUSIC!! I would definitely recommend you get poke here. They scoop you a lot of fish compared to most places these days

A must try!! Super fresh ingredients and delicious toppings. I will definitely go back and try more. Support small businesses! They've been open for 10 years now. The owner was super sweet and helpful. Service was fast and the restaurant was pretty.

FOOD IS SO GOOD. Lots of parking. Lady was so nice and patient. My boyfriend wasn't here so I had to read out loud the menu to him over the phone.

The sister and I ordered takeout to eat at our parents house for an early Mother's day celebration. Our total came to about $220 before tax and tip. This order included: Combo roll U - this had 3 pre-set rolls at a slight discount Rockstar roll - yum, loved the lemon slice and mac nuts Toro sashimi combo - 9 slices of maguro, o-toro and chu-toro Individual fatty tuna sashimis Sake wasabi don - thicc slices of salmon. The wasabi sauce was aight 10 pc sashimi combo - nice variety Beef bulgogi rice plate - kind basic but we ordered this for the SO (non seafood liker) Our order fed 5 people total and everyone definitely came out so full. I can't say anything about the interior since my sister picked up the order. She did say that after placing the order online, she received a call to confirm the order. I thought that was nice. Overall, Sen Dai would be my go-to for quality fish at a decent price.

We arrived right before they closed for their dinner prep at 1:40 PM, so we were worried they might not be able to seat us or that we'd feel rushed, but our server was amazing. She was attentive, polite, and made us feel completely welcome. We're huge fans of raw fish, especially when it comes to sushi, and the hamachi and toro were incredibly fresh--melt-in-your-mouth good. I barely even needed to use any ginger, which says a lot about the quality and freshness. We ordered a ton of appetizers, but the real stars of the meal were the baked scallop roll and the baked mussels. The sauce that came with the baked mussels was so good that we found ourselves dipping our other dishes into it. Overall, such a great experience with fresh fish, delicious food, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back.

And I've tried a fair share of omakase places. The prix fixe 9 course meal was $150 per person, and I personally feel the quality of the ingredients and overall seasoning of the dishes did not meet that price point. It was already a rough start with the appetizers. I'm also a texture person so maybe someone else would like these but I was not a fan of the vegetable jelly nor the goopy seaweed salad. Had I known this prior to dining I don't think I would have wanted to go with the omakase menu. The chawanmushi was very underseasoned and missing salt completely. On the menu it says it has crab in it but the only crab meat you get with it comes in a tiny claw that you have no way of digging out The nigiri, which I was most excited for, fell VERY flat. The fish wasn't particularly fresh and I found a bone in my nigiri. (??) The rice was also really dry and mushy. I was genuinely so disappointed at this. Miso sea bass was overly sweet which didn't really work with how fatty the fish was. It was too much. Also found more bones in the miso sea bass but that's less gobsmacking than finding it in your nigiri. The dessert, matcha tiramisu, just tasted like straight up cream and not sweet at all. I don't have a sweet tooth by any means but this could've used sugar. I didn't feel very good eating this, the fattiness of the cream plus not having any flavor ruined it for me :( Overall, the main theme is just the lack of seasoning in any of the dishes plus ingredients not being fresh. I know it's Kaiseki style, but the dishes also seemed very uninspired and plating was kinda messy. When I looked closely, the plates weren't clean and there were marks.. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but at a price point like this, the details matter. Word of advice, if you live in South Bay and want omakase, just take your $ and drive an hour up to SF. My bf took me here to celebrate our anniversary and I feel awful about how bad it was.. +1 star for the friendly service.

I ended up ordering almost the entire menu because I hadn't eaten all day and work completely took over my life. I got two Lion King rolls, a salmon skin roll, and baked mussels. The baked mussels were the standout--really delicious--but definitely on the heavier side. Overall, everything leaned rich and sauce-forward, which I realized was partly my fault since I focused on baked rolls instead of lighter options like sashimi. If you're not into baked rolls, they can be a little intense, so I'd make sure that's your thing before ordering. The salmon skin roll was a nice reset--more traditional, not overly flavorful, with just enough sauce to balance things out. In the future, I'd probably ask for less sauce overall, especially on the mussels, because it bordered on too much. That said... the value is insane. My total, including tip, was about $64 for six sushi items (including mussels), which feels like a steal. I personally found it a bit too flavorful, but my boyfriend thought it was amazing and was beyond happy--so clearly this place hits for the right audience. Would I order again? Absolutely.
