The food is good, the service is really friendly. The poke bowl portions are on the smaller side. I left still hungry.

Front Area

Very dirty unfortunately. Bathroom was disgusting and had pink mold growing where it clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The front area was very unhygienic too. And flies everywhere, really gross. There was only one person in the front too busy making online orders to look at us, or acknowledge us in any way

Veggie Poke Bowl

Food was good. Very friendly staff. Food quantity is less when compared to their prices. If you are not very hungry, then it might fill you up. I had ordered a veggie poke bowl. I wish they didn't use plastic as much, then they would have got a 5 stars from me. This is Long Beach, one of the eco-friendly and sustainable places, yet this place doesn't care much about the plastic pollution. :(

How have I not reviewed this place yet?!? It has been a favorite of mine for quite some time now, especially after Poke Cat closed :( That was actually how I happened upon this place and it was obsession at first bite. I've tried their poke bowls and some of their hand rolls: the unagi, spam and philly rolls in particular. The unagi and spam rolls are delicious! I have yet to try one of their sushi burritos, but I'm more of a show-off-the-chopstick-skills kinda gal. Onto the bowls: I normally get the 50/50 base with either rice and greens or rice and soba noodles. For the proteins I like two scoops of tuna and one of shrimp, but sometimes I'll sub one of the tuna for albacore or salmon. I love almost all the toppings available and ALWAYS get an extra scoop of the crab salad because it's so good. I love all the fresh ingredients and basically get them all along with the furikake and fried onions from the crunchy list. I finish off with their house sauce and a drizzle of the yuzu for a bright citrusy finish. I've never had an issue with the quality of their fish, and have never gotten sick from it. And usually I get my order through Uber Eats. No complaints here! I type this as my stomach rumbles, not-so-patiently awaiting for my order to arrive. Ok, time to eat! Pictures coming soon!

Regular with 2 salmon and one shrimp

My coworkers and I stopped here for lunch yesterday during our lunch walks. I work close by in this area for 15 years and have seen so many different restaurants turn-over. I used to love Poke Bar further down but that would require driving and so we opted here. One of my coworkers been here before and liked it so the rest of us decided to try it too. This place is more pricey than other Poke places I've been too. All poke bowl starts at $17.99 and for the one size for all, it seems like a medium because it's smaller with only 3 scoop. The salmon quality here is good though, I got 2 salmon and 1 shrimp. Extra for avocado here. Service was great, the two ladies were so friendly! One of us got the salmon hand rolls and the other baked salmon and shrimp tempura. Overall the quality here is great. They also have a pretty fun selection of beers and ciders. But it's pricey. My small/medium, which is a regular bowl here, is $17.99 with taxes and tips it's about $22. I finished my lunch wanting more because it wasn't enough but I guess it's good for my diet...

Such a cute place. I seen great customer service. The food is clean. Parking isn't bad. Perfect location downtown Long Beach. I love spicy poke nachos.

Random poke place I found on the street. It's hard to judge poke, but the portions are generous and there is nothing fishy about the poke and there are a good amount of toppings. It's a decent place to go to. I would recommend it.

I stopped in and got the Shrimp Tempura hand roll and the Spicy Tuna hand roll, and I absolutely loved the Spicy Tuna roll so much! It had such good flavor and when I added the soy sauce, it was definitely on and popping! Yummy, I can't wait to try some other menu items.

second time here this week!! Poke Pub is a recent addition to the long beach promenade. Street parking is ideal but hard to find. However, there are multiple paid parking garages near by. It's more of a grab and go place but they do have outdoor seating available. The first time I came I tried their salmon and negitoro handroll. Sooo good - fish was fresh and rice was a great consistency. Both super tasty but the Negitoro was my favorite! Today I came back for the Negitoro handroll and to try their yellowtail HR. Unfortunately, they were out of negitoro so I got the Ahi. Both were great and happy I got to try them but the Negitoro remains my favorite. The staff was so kind and gave great recommendations. Overall, Poke Pub has great food and friendly staff. Can't wait to come again!

Great food and amazing service with plenty of outdoor seating. Their noodles are a great addition to the Poké bowl.

Is this place vegan-friendly? I do see that they have tofu as a protein option. Now I'm wondering if all the toppings and sauces are also vegan-friendly besides the ones that are obviously not like the crabmeat, masago and spicy mayo.

They have many vegan options. I like seafood so it's great for basic sushi needs. The owner is always there too.

The experience was amazing. Speaking of Speakeasy! First, if you don't want to (most likely) get turned away, you will definitely need to make a reservation on OpenTable a few days before. Parking around the area was tough, but you may find a spot if you circle around the blocks. You will need to arrive early to look for parking. When you arrive, you will see the Mexican restaurant El Barrio Cantina. You will want to walk into the alley on the left, then you will see the door with a lantern on your left. Congrats, you have arrived! Knock on the door and tell them your reservation. The bar was popular. Their reservations were all full for the night. Their cocktails were amazing, creative, delicious, and Tokyo-inspired. I love their cool menu design. The bartender was friendly and made some nice recommendations. I had a Meguro River. It's creamy and pretty with floral decorations, served in a mini pot. The Okinawan Gimlet is in cool green. They even have alcoholic gummies and alcoholic shaved ice on menu. They do have a time limit of 1.5 hours seating. I can't wait to come back again.

We sat at the bar, and I expected to receive service from the bartender, but he didn't acknowledge us for the entire night. Instead, our server took our order. After a while, she informed us that the crispy rice we ordered was sold out. She mentioned that the bartender was supposed to let us know, but he never did. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that the bartender seemed to be giving most of his attention to the Caucasian customers on the other side of the bar. We were the only Asian customers there, and unfortunately, this left us feeling like we were being treated differently because of our race. The good food and drinks helped compensate for the poor service, so we decided not to let it ruin our evening. However, things got even more disappointing at the end. After I paid, I noticed that I had been charged for the crispy rice even though we never received it. When our server tried to address the issue, the bartender appeared to ignore both her and us, so we eventually left. I hope management sees this review and reaches out to me to address the overcharge and the overall experience. Overall, although the food and drinks were good, the service and the way we were treated left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

They have a big screen to watch games. The staff were all very nice and service was quick. I was actually surprised that the katsu came out before the roll. A New Job, A New Milestone & A Chance to Rewrite the Narrative…read more My best friend and I have a tradition of celebrating new jobs with a nice dinner. Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. My best friend got the celebration she wanted -- and a much better Bo-Beau experience this time around. Will definitely be returning!
